Trump, who is loath to admit to sleeping — let alone taking time off — has spent his week away mixing downtime and golf rounds with meetings and dinners, intent on projecting the image that he's been hard at work.

Watching Fox and Friends and spouting trash on Twitter can take it out of a senior citizen.

how about a story on the economic, stock, crime and job numbers?

John Catsimatidis ... described Trump as in a "great mood"...

That's the kind of thing I would expect to read if he had been to a nursing home to visit an elderly relative with dementia.

I'd never begrudge a president time off - it's not exactly an easy gig (though Trump seems to be making it as easy as possible); what I do begrudge is:

1) Berating the previous president for an act you repeat multiple times over;

2) Lying while pretending to work.

Pretending like this makes Trump look as idiotic as when he pretended to handwrite his inauguration speech or when he pretends to be working with zero on the Resolute desk. If you need a break, take it, but don't lie.

well you know corruption, misogyny, perpetual lying and hypocrisy, discrimination or minors, immigrants and Muslims are far more newsworthy. I suppose if POTUS would stop committing these exact same acts then the media would probably start reporting on the economy , unemployment, crime. etc.

I wonder if Trump will site down with Mueller or Trumps refusal will drag the investigation out through the mid terms . Most likely Trump will let Trump Jr take the fall lol

Give the guy a break. If you are being sued all the the time and your wife has to pay money from her business for his affairs when she was pregnant and married, I too would play golf.

"Watching Fox and Friends and spouting trash on Twitter can take it out of a senior citizen."

Watching CNN, MSNBC and the other lamestream media can make anyone seriously depressed.

"how about a story on the economic, stock, crime and job numbers?"

Heck no, that would put Trump in a good light! We need to focus on negativity!

Funny, while he was in the WH the left seemed to be hard at work working on trying to drum more fake news. Overpaid and underperforming, no wonder the left MSM keeps on hemorrhaging, but as long as they get those clicks, some sliver of hope remains.

more fake news

Okay, I’ll take that on board. Good point.

Watching fake news on Fox and Friends, spouting trash on Twitter and reading and citing fake news from the National Enquirer can take it out of a senior citizens.

Cheers, Bass.

Don't forget the trash makers like racists Acosta, Lemon and Reid, younger, but loving and living the fake news all the way.

as far as I am concerned, the only people who are not happy with how things are going these days are either jobless, on welfare or illegal. Wait and see. The media is feeding you false narratives, the people will speak with their votes, you will see.

Trump might not be likable but you would have to be ultra-delusional to think he is not doing a good job as President.

The farcical Donald J. Trump can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.

Trump with time off...

The devil makes work for tiny hands.

Hope he retweets the National Enquirer story about a man who defecates from his mouth rather than trash conspiracy theories about JFK and Ted Cruz’s father.

Just hope he doesn’t click on racist websites and retweet that kind of thing again.

Fake news is a terrible thing.

I’m assuming you really don’t like this President all that much.

I’m assuming you really don’t like this President all that much.

Don’t you think it’s better to retweet a story about a man who defecates from his mouth than to cite a story about Ted Cruz’s father being in on the JFK assassination? Both are fake news but the latter is much more vicious.

I just think even fake news has degrees of decency.

He can feel the NOOSE tightening around his neck, and it is making him SQIRM. IMPEACHMENT is now inevitable and unavoidable. So he must ramp up the PR campaign. However, it is doomed to FAIL.

Perfect knee jerk

"I'm not gonna have time to go play golf," he would shout.

What a loser.

Next time he says something like that, don't believe him - if people actually believed him on that in the first place

dude that politics, same the world over, when youve got car load of positives but a bus load of negatives it makes it very difficult to see the car from behind the bus. The irony is Trump is the one that makes it easy for the opposition to focus on the negatives. fake realities, constant lies doesn't help his cause either.

when Trumpsters say “fake news”, they are not saying the info is false. They just don’t think it’s worth reporting —because such info hurts their cult leader and spoils their Cheerios parties. Notice how Trumpsters can never point to factual errors or lies in a story. I asked our resident WaPo journalist recently to list some “lies” by the “liberal MSM”, and he couldn’t come up with even one.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Yeah, to Trumpsters, 'fake news' means 'news I don't want people to see'.

He might re-tweet some dodgy racist videos from extreme right-wing racist groups.

Trump, at golf club, intent on projecting he's hard at work

For businessmen (and some politicians), the golf course is where issues are discussed and deals are actually made.

So why did Trump diss Obama for playing golf?

So why did Trump diss Obama for playing golf?

Because while president, Obama played for pleasure, played with sport stars and entertainers, etc.

In the business world, more work is done on the golf course. Deals and decisions are made on the golf course. Trump is basically a businessman at heart, and playing golf is par for the game.

Trump is basically a businessman at heart, and playing golf is par for the game. oh please and Trump doesn't play golf at all for pleasure, he owns all those country clubs because he doesn't like golf. Trump plays golf for pleasure far more than Obama ever will, and Trumps taxpayer costs to play his golf far outweigh anything Obama charged, these Trump excuses are getting more creative as the months go by.

"The New Jersey golf club is where a brooding Trump unleashed several of his most inflammatory attacks and where, in spring 2017, he made the final decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, the move that triggered the special counsel's probe into Russian election meddling."

Oh my...
