“It’s demeaning and it’s dangerous,” she said, and “an attack on the rule of law.”

Trump doesn't care. What matters to him is securing his own fragile ego.

The new version of "you're with us or you're an enemy" is toxic.

Reading alt-right forums is honestly scary. They have a lot in store for "enemies".

TumbleDryFEB. 12, 2017 - 07:13AM JST The new version of "you're with us or you're an enemy" is toxic. Reading alt-right forums is honestly scary. They have a lot in store for "enemies".

Which is why moderators of social media need to get their act together and start doing their jobs when it comes to alt-right trolling.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Has anyone given the Pretender President a copy of the Constitution yet?

.....snap, forgot he doesn't read.

There must be a lackey who can read it to him.

.

The low-information guy has no clue how the government is set-up and functions.

Robart quickly became a target on social media. Someone on Twitter called him a “DEAD MAN WALKING” and another on Facebook suggested that he be imprisoned at the military detention center at Guantanamo Bay, “where other enemies of the US are held.”

Trump fans love this stuff.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

“DEAD MAN WALKING”

So far Trump and Bannon appear to be successful in instilling even more fear in an already fearful part of the US population. What’s scary is these most fearful individuals tend to be those with the largest private arsenals, many of who are part of one of the hundreds of armed militias found throughout the US.

Trump and Bannon know that a negative agenda, one based on fighting against something rather than for anything positive, is the easiest way to get support from the masses.

They’re attacking institutions that might hold them back, including the judiciary and something they call ‘the media’, the latter often abbreviated MSM.

Curious that Bannon made his fortune in ‘the media’ and used his money to start his own media outlet. The fact that Breitbart, his personal media outlet, has been a leading purveyor of fake news and alt facts doesn’t seem to faze his and Trump’s followers, who like true believers throughout history believe everything they say without question.

Trump and Bannon have named Islamic terrorists as another enemy, and rightfully so, but in so doing they’ve fostered a climate where all Muslims and non-whites along with whites with whom they differ politically, now labeled 'liberals' or just 'libs' have been thrown into the enemy list. Trump and Bannon, and the media outlets they own and/or that support them, e.g. Murdoch's and Putin's global media empires plus all the many other alt right outlets, are helping create a world of us vs. them, a world where demagogues can more easily take control. They're trying to doom democracies.

reading alt-right forums is honestly scary. They have a lot in store for “enemies".

As do those rightists posting on forums very close to home right here in .

This is not going to end well. Rational debate is becoming a thing of the past. Delusion is driving it out.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

One woman wrote: “Open ur home to them if anything happens to anyone in this country like 911 there (sic) blood is on your head, and I will remember to rip u one.” Another said, “who in your family is expendable Robart?”

Hmm I wonder if Trump would accept any blame if something bad happens to this judge or his family? (I'm guessing he would not...)

This is what happens when you poke the right-wing bees nest.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Trump doesn't care. What matters to him is securing his own fragile ego.

We can flip that around, these liberal Judges don't care and feel like they can push their executive powers over a president and know more about governing. Nutty high level lawyers, pretty much sums them up.

.....snap, forgot he doesn't read.

Obama could read, but actually never read the constitution.

There must be a lackey who can read it to him.

There's Bannon, I guess, but Obama had Jarrett, Holder and Sharpton.

-24 ( +0 / -24 )

@bass liberal Judges don't care and feel like they can push their executive powers over a president and know more about governing.

Funny (not) how rightists think the Constitution is only important when it protects their right to own private arsenals. The 'liberal' judges are doing what they were appointed to do and what they're empowered by the Constitution to do: TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION!

Funny (not) how neo-rightists want to continue to undermine the US system of checks and balances, particularly the judiciary, a critical part of the system that needs to be kept in place to protect US citizens from a person and his elite billionaire supporters, those who might want to take even greater control of the country and its resources.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

And to debunk the fake news and move into reality. The only political group running around America, rioting, lynching, assaulting, kidnapping and torturing and are otherwise a physical danger to anyone is the Left Wing Democratic party members and followers. It is they who for the last few years are likely to harm a judge because it is that group who have already committed acts of violence. This article is fakebnews because no one on the right is doing what the article claims, it is the accusers in the article, who are members of the group committing these kinds of crimes

-17 ( +0 / -17 )

Funny (not) how rightists think the Constitution is only important when it protects their right to own private arsenals.

Sorry, politics, the left do it as well and are actually better at using it to further their political agenda. The right need to pay more attention to that.

The 'liberal' judges are doing what they were appointed to do and what they're empowered by the Constitution to do: TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION!

That would depend on where you stand on the issue.

The order applies across the entire country, Judge Robart wrote, because a patchwork order—in which Customs and Border Protection enforced the order at some airports but not others “would undermine the constitutional imperative of ‘a uniform Rule of Naturalization.’”’ The quotes are from a 2015 opinion by Fifth Circuit Judge Jerry Smith, ruling on then-President Obama’s “deferred action” program for some undocumented immigrants. Conservatives adored that ruling; they are less enthusiastic about this one. But sauce for the nativist goose, Judge Robart implies, must be sauce for the immigrant gander. The same logic goes for his decision to find that the states of Washington and Minnesota have “standing to sue.” The states claim that they are injured by the order because it injures their people and in-state corporations by separating families and preventing the entrance of skilled workers. “State standing” was pioneered by Texas in its challenge to Obama; that chicken may not be all the way home to roost yet, but it is flapping homeward.

Monday’s preliminary hearing will address scope and standing again. Then the argument will turn to the merits—that is, is the executive order warranted by the immigration laws, and if so, is it constitutional?

The administration really might draw some comfort from the Massachusetts opinion. Judge Robart in Washington thinks the order violates the statute and the Constitution; Judge Gorton in Massachusetts thinks it doesn’t. Both are smart judges confronting a new issue.

We don’t and can’t know how the case will come out. Both sides have strong arguments.

-18 ( +0 / -18 )

Pathetic to see the 'My party right or wrong' rhetoric again and again from certain posters here. Dumb Republicans (though not all are dumb) just don't understand democracy and rule of law or even their own constitution. Anyone who doesn't agree with them is somehow a liberal. It's like the Communist paranoia of the 1960s.

Point well taken. That rule applies to both sides of the political spectrum.

For some decades and no not i the almost 300 years of U.S history have judges in recent times overrided the will of the people in popular referendums and even now getting in the way of Mr. Trumps executive orders.

There is this none sense that leftist throw out about "reading the constitution", well then no where in that doc does some no name lowly nobody of a judge have the power to block the president when it comes to dealing with Nat'l security and foreigners. That is the presidents domain. This judge will be challenged and he will lose. And rightly so.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

these liberal Judges don't care

The judge who put a stop on the ban was a repubulican judge, put in place by Bush.

and feel like they can push their executive powers over a president

They are the judicial branch, not the executive branch, and the judicial branch is equal to the executive branch.

Did you not read your constitution in school?

You must be a fan of Garrett Epps of The Atlantic, who wrote:

For a 30-year journalist you sure seem to forget to cite sources quite often.

We don’t and can’t know how the case will come out. Both sides have strong arguments.

That, too. Later in the article.

No plagiarism there. Carry on.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

The judge who put a stop on the ban was a repubulican judge, put in place by Bush.

I have always said, I never saw Bush as a real conservative.

Did you not read your constitution in school?

I love how Europeans try to lecture Americans. Too funny! The bigger question is, do liberals in the US read it? But nowadays, it seems...lol

Whatever you think of Judge James Robart’s conclusory decision enjoining the Trump refugee order or Trump’s characteristically intemperate Twitter harangues directed at the judge, one of the more misleading arguments used to defend the district court order is to point out that Judge Robart was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush in 2004. That’s true – but it doesn’t mean the judge is any sort of Republican or conservative. District court judicial nominations are often less ideological and partisan than appellate nominations, and in particular, Republican presidents have tended to appoint judges sponsored or favored by home-state Democratic Senators in blue states. Sometimes that’s bipartisan: in New York, when Republican Al D’Amato and Democrat Pat Moynihan served together, it was widely known and accepted that half the district court nominees would be D’Amato nominees and the other half would be Moynihan nominees, and this arrangement persisted under presidents of both parties.

www.nationalreview.com/corner/444629/judge-who-ruled-against-trump-not-republican

@sup

I never do, sorry, but I did want to make a point clear with the previous statement and that is both judges have valid points that can be argued, that was all.

But nice try. I always appreciate the tenacity.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Despite teaching constitutional law at U. Chicago Law School for 12 years?

Just Because you went to culinary school, doesn't make you a Gordon Ramsay, sorry.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

The judge who put a stop on the ban was a repubulican judge, put in place by Bush.

I have always said, I never saw Bush as a real conservative.

The judge was put in place by the Republican party. Are you trying to argue the republican party is not conservative?

I love how Europeans try to lecture Americans.

I'm not European.

Too funny! The bigger question is, do liberals in the US read it?

No, the question is whether you have, as you keep saying things that are not in line with your constitution.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Hey, remember when Obama tried to intimidate the Justices and was rightly criticized for it?

"What's At Stake As Obama Tries to Intimidate the Supreme Court"

http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimpowell/2012/04/08/whats-at-stake-as-obama-tries-to-intimidate-the-supreme-court/#50f13fa673ad

So now, it's OK for the President to go after judges?

Have times changed?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

The judge was put in place by the Republican party. Are you trying to argue the republican party is not conservative?

No, I never said that but...

it doesn’t mean the judge is any sort of Republican or conservative. District court judicial nominations are often less ideological and partisan than appellate nominations

I'm not European.

You're not American either.

No, the question is whether you have,

Uhmmm...No, I think the question is, do liberals ever read the constitution, Obama didn't, but do most liberals, that's the million dollar question.

So yes... In the example you provided he would be the Gordon Ramsay.

Yeah, but Ramsay had experience most of his adult life working his way up in restaurants. Besides voting Present in the Senate, did Obama ever serve as a governor? No, therefore, the man being an adjunct professor really didn't know a lot.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

I think the question is, do liberals ever read the constitution, Obama didn't

You lose all credibility when making stupid statements like this. Even the stupidest republican knows that a guy who taught constitutional law has read the constitution.

Bass, Obama read the constitution. He must have.

Just a suggestion, but I'd switch to the argument that Obama couldn't possibly comprehend it to the level of Trump who comprehends things better than, well, anyone.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

@serrano thanks for the awesome links great you are a winner and a true Trump supporter good for you.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

these liberal Judges don't care and feel like they can push their executive powers over a president and know more about governing. Nutty high level lawyers, pretty much sums them up. Trump supporters in 3 2 1 "FAKE COURTS!!" the judges role is to uphold the constitution, if anybody including the President makes decisions that goes against the constitution then they have the right to step in. POTUS isnt a dictator, unlike many in the right seem to think. Judges have studied excelled in their field of law for decades, I think they know more about the subject than some recalcitrant egotistic philandering misogynistic capitalist predator.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Yeah saying Obama hasn't read the Constitution is some kind of derangement. From a guy who just plagiarized. Things are getting pretty extreme.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

no one on the right is doing what the article claims

No, they do like Dylann Roof and Bundies. Also, the PP bombers. Liberals may have fitsfights. But white Conservative crazies attack the actual government with guns and bombs. The Kennedy Shooter as well as the Gabriel Giffords shooter. And let's not forget Timothy McVeigh. All Conservative nutjobs.

All those people are on the right. That is why KKK, white supremacists, Dylann Roof, Aryans, Bundies, and David Duke vote Trump. These same people are going after the judges that ruled against Trump.

Obama ever serve as a governor?

He was senator. People just hate him because he was not white and thought he was born in Kenya.

Trump has lots of broken promises. The wall is a real joke (which Mexico won't pay). Now he changed his mind on China/Taiwan (winp).

3 ( +5 / -2 )

the left has been acting and whining and going nuts in the streets

https://www.google.com/search?q=bundy+blm&biw=1920&bih=935&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjq1vubkYrSAhWFx7wKHcciCKUQ_AUICCgD#tbm=isch&q=bundy+blm+bridge

Look at that link of Conservative Trump voting Bundy cowards aiming their semi auto (and Trump voters have many semi autos) at government officials and using children as shields. Those are conservatives making attacks against the government just like the conservative crazies making threats against the judges for doing their jobs.

Yes, Trump is crazy and the only thing Trump voters can say against Obama is that he was born in Kenya.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Nishkat was referring to the domestic terrorist, Cliven Bundy. You can read all about it here:

I'm sorry, but what does that small protest that happened a few years ago with 100 or so people have anything to with what's happening with the thousands of left loons on a daily basis going nuts and destroying property and attacking people. I fail to see any correlation.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

bass4funk: " I fail to see any correlation."

Ah, but your deflection to constantly talk about "what about the left??" is ALWAYS correlated, of course... I mean, when you're not plagiarizing (or even when you are) to deflect to Obama. Except that Bundy IS related -- he is a terrorist, AND a Trump supporter, and yet he and Americans like him aren't being included in this ban you guys say isn't a ban despite Trump saying it's a ban.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I'm sorry, but what does that small protest that happened a few years ago

It's just one out of many. Conservatives have all the semi autos because they are such cowards and they also hide behind children (look at those pictures carefully). These are typical Trump supporters who also think that Obama was born in Kenya and they also think (thought) that Trump was going to put Hillary in prison (another broken promise out of many). It shows how these cowardly man boys need to hide behind both guns and (literally) actual boys (as shown in those pictures). These are real Trump people. Liberals burning cars? Well, at least they don't use children as human shields. And at least they are not stupid enough to face federal charges like many of these Conservatives are. Look at Dyllan Roof. That's a real Conservative Trump supporter.

Call Liberals what you want but at least they don't hide behind children like the Conservative cowards.

Go Bundies and go Trump (and don't forget to buy that garbage his daughter sells- authentically made in China)!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

the thousands of left loons on a daily basis going nuts and destroying property and attacking people

Fake news.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Fake news.

That's right. And I showed real images of Conservative Trump voting Bundies aiming their rifles at federal agents (who got arrested later) and using children as human shields.

Youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhNFqaLioD4

"Militia member says it's "good" that children were in the line of fire in Bundy standoff. Bundy Ranch Standoff on April 12, 2014. Videocast by Michael Flynn. Footage by Michael Flynn, Alex Ellis & Shane Brown. See full report by Michael Flynn at"

Trump voters at their best and this isn't fake. It shows the cowards that Trump voting conservatives are. The only way they can feel like real men is to buy big guns for killing people (in high quantities per Conservative Trump voter- like 10 per person I read) and use Children as human shields.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Just browse Fox News and you'll understand why they think all of the protesters are violent. They usually ignore protests until someone throws a punch, then that's the headline. Or they print someone else's false claim of the protesters being paid. And if a Black Lives Matter sign is present, that will be the picture.

That's how the right is able to have their followers produce statements like this:

thousands of left loons on a daily basis going nuts and destroying property and attacking people

Look at this article:. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/02/12/massive-crowd-protests-trump-anti-lgbt-law-in-north-carolina.html

Nice picture. Of all of the protesters they use the picture of a guy holding a "No justice, no peace, occupy" sign. Do a google search of the protests and you won't find a single person other than him holding a sign like that. But they use that picture for their coverage to instantly link that phrase to the movement, which makes it easier for conservatives to write off the protests.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Call Liberals what you want but at least they don't hide behind children like the Conservative cowards.

You're right, they don't hide the kids, they are the ones running around like cowards wearing masks, jumping on people, assualting them getting physical wth them, blocking freeways, maybe if these kids would stay in school or contribute to society as in...oh....gettIng a job and working, they wouldn't have to go out and waste everyone's time by harassing people. They need to get a life, get back in class, study, get that degree, get a job and leave the rest of us alone!

Just browse Fox News and you'll understand why they think all of the protesters are violent.

Not just FNC, all of the networks are covering these stupid cowards.

They usually ignore protests until someone throws a punch, then that's the headline.

Not just a punch, but also intimidating people, blocking highways, spraying people with pepper spray, getting physical with people, yelling, cursing, throwing objects, threatening people. Growing up in LA, I still have yet to see, thousands of conservatives converging and assualting as many liberals or getting all bent out of shape and balling my eyes out like a little......

Or they print someone else's false claim of the protesters being paid. And if a Black Lives Matter sign is present, that will be the picture.

They are often. When liberals have a racist group like the BLM, or even Al Sharpton it's totally acceptable. If conservatives were to have have the Aryan Nationsat every protest, people would go nuts and rightfully so. Ahhh, liberal hypocrisy, don't you love it?

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

You are talking about conservatives like Dyllan Roof shooting up churches. I have never heard of a Liberal doing what Dyllan Roof did and everyone knows he's a Trump supporter. Proof that Conservatives are more violent than Liberals. And I shown proof in photos. Conservatives have all the guns.

Looks like Trump is going to make taxpayers pay for the wall. Mexicans will not pay. Trump is scamming the American taxpayer. The wall is stupid because all you need is a ladder.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I had no idea conservatives walk the streets in fear of roving gangs of liberals who attack. So not only are they afraid of all black and brown people, now we can add petite philosophy majors to the list. This is what happens when a political party is 90% white and skews older.

But back to the topic at hand. How can we make judges safer from right wing nut jobs? These are the kinds of people who open fire in a pizza shop because Clinton's child sex ring.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

They don't use child shields like Trump voters.

No, the BLM uses kids and students to smash windows at schools and block the HWY 101 from people going on. Get a job and get a life and go back to school. CA. NY. MASS. WA.

I had no idea conservatives walk the streets in fear of roving gangs of liberals who attack.

For having an opinion? NOT me, personally. They shouldn't, but people are getting physically assaulted and its growing. The party of so called tolerance is highly intolerant.

https://youtu.be/4KW5bqyHTv4

So not only are they afraid of all black and brown people, now we can add petite philosophy majors to the list. This is what happens when a political party is 90% white and skews older.

Oh, No, no! Don't get me wrong, most people that are going nutty and doing all this stuff are Whites. Color has nothing actually to do with it. Laziness, racists and stupidness are color blind!

But back to the topic at hand. How can we make judges safer from right wing nut jobs?

What do the judges have anything to fear of? If these judges are so proud of their convictions, they shouldn't be afraid of anything, but then again, we are talking about Washington State, home of the intolerant far left loons, so maybe that's a strong suspicious indicator.

These are the kinds of people who open fire in a pizza shop because Clinton's child sex ring.

Ok, one incident, I have 30 more on the left in just a few short weeks.

Come again? What does that have to do with your accusatory and racial assumptions of Whites?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Come again?

I meant:

Trump voters are wrong about Trump since Trump will charge taxpayers for the wall. Thanks for correcting me.

My mistake. He will stiff the American taxpayers for the wall since Mexico will not pay. Trump's Muslim ban was also thrown out of court which means Trump is the loser. He also will keep ObamaCare. Also, he will keep the Iran deal. His daughter makes very cheap quality fashion garbage made in China that no one wants (boo hoo). Trump University is a ripoff.

The Bundies (who aimed guns at federal agents and are under arrest by the FBI) pointed guns at the Feds. I don't know any Liberals who did that. They are too smart and have jobs. Bundies don't.
