Trump begins to play catch-up on transition to White House

I think the people around Trump (Giuliani, Gingrich, etc) are even more dangerous than Trump himself.

More Americans voted for Hillary. Trump lost the popular vote. It turned out everything about Trump is smaller, including his vote totals.

With business experiences, Trump will listen and work for rebuilding America in a new direction that will seal fairly with the rest of the world. As Obama said "campaign is over, people spoke, and there is mandate to be done", and that should be. A responsible and law abiding citizen will move on in spite of different views and resolve. Guiliani, Geinrich, Session, Bolton, Flynn..... will help Trump to navigate and drain the swamp as law required.

One thing that Trump is very good at is picking staff. He delegates responsibility very very well, it is a necessary talent for a businessman. Given the large support for Republicans at the state level and within the business community, he will have a large talent pool to choose from.

Time for the Democrats to reorganize their party, leave the old white people behind (Clintons, Pelosi, Reid, Biden), and rebuild from a younger demographic. Trump actually got MORE of the hispanic vote than Romney, and also a majority of the white college educated vote. Depending on the urban elite and shaming by the Hollywood/entertainment community is not a recipe for success.

Listed as a front runner for Attorney General or CIA director. Trump owes him big time for his claims that former (and maybe current) FBI agents contacted him about Clinton's email, which besides being illegal forced Comey to act shifty to smooth things over.

No offense, but it could have been something going on in your own head. Recently, President Duterte heard a voice telling him his plane will crash if he doesn't stop swearing. So instead of feeling helpless, he took control of the situation, promised to stop swearing, and actually quit for three days. Is voting for Trump kind of like that?

Trump fared a little better among blacks and Hispanics than Romney did 4 years ago, but Romney won more of the white college-educated vote than Trump (white college-educated voters usually vote Republican in the first place - Romney won them by 12 points, Trump won them by just 4 points).

It will be put up or shut up time now that the Republicans won both the White House and Congress. However, we saw that numbers of prominent Republicans took pains to distance themselves from Donald Trump during the campaign. It'll be interesting to see how they reconcile themselves to his victory and whether they will cooperate to make his administration a success. I don't assume they will, but, if they do, as experienced politicians they'll come out with extraordinary weaselese. Pop the corn, sit back and enjoy the show.
