President Donald Trump bristled Tuesday at a reporter's question about police killing African Americans and defended the right to display the Confederate flag as he continued to play into racial divisions in an interview.

The Confederate Flag! Yes indeed, it's the No 1 critical issue facing America today!

No, not COVID, and the fact that the virus is surging across the US - and that we just went over 134K American deaths. That's just a hoax...

In the interview, Trump seemed taken aback when asked why African Americans are still dying at the hands of police.

Well, when you watch nothing but Fox News all day....

“And so are white people. So are white people. What a terrible question to ask. So are white people," Trump told CBS's Catherine Herridge. “More white people, by the way. More white people.”

"More white people".... What he really means is more "white supremacists" - gotta get those "very fine people" out to vote for me...

The Democrat Party and China, of course. Why didn't the "reporter" ask a question about the extremely high percentage of black people being responsible for the murder of black people? Maybe the "reporter" doesn't believe that black lives matter anymore?

Why isn't he talking about the fact that the US just went over 134K American deaths? That's more deaths than the wars in Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and the Iraq War....

More American have died in the last four months than all the wars the US has been involved in since 1945...

It's the media who tweeting/reporting/choosing which stories to report. Trump is RESPONDING to the "reporter's" questions. This "reporter" had plenty of time to think of a question. These were the questions that the "reporter" chose to ask. Trump responded to the questions, and you chose to blame Trump for answering the reporters questions.

In the interview, Trump also defended the use of the Confederate flag, despite saying in 2015 that he believed the flag belongs in a museum.

“All I say is freedom of speech. It’s very simple. My attitude is freedom of speech," Trump responded. "Very simple. Like it, don’t like it, it’s freedom of speech.”

Trump, flags and freedom is a very interesting issue.

He likes the idea of freedom but wants to throw people in jail for burning flags.

If want to signal a particular idea, salute flags, wrap yourself in them, hug them etc. If you want to signal a different idea, stamp on them, deface them, burn them etc. I personally regard both as a bit childish and examples of virtue signaling, but each to their own.

That’s freedom.

it was quite clear what I said. You dont want to address why the only Black lives that matter are the ones killed by police. I very clearly said all the Black lives lost matter. Even the ones you dont bother to have funeral tours for and other you go out of your way to ignore in NY and Chicago.
