Interesting about the F-35. Fails to mention the Su-57 Felon is also present.

The former abruptly pulled out of planned flight demos at the air show, sparking intense speculation.

The thing here with the former is they will never hand over the coding and full technical package or allow domestic production, unlike the latter.

Out of all the countries with which the US has a trade deficit, India is at number 9 or 10. To put it another way, India is not Canada or Mexico.

Trump is going after India with a view of gaining preferential market access for American firms.

India is the largest bike market and the largest whisky market in the world, and that's why Trump keeps on harping about India's tariffs on imported bikes.

India consumes more whisky than the US, France and Japan combined but a very small portion of it is Jack Daniels so I am sure something can be worked out.

Though I personally prefer Russian vodka, Russia being our old friend but vodka is considered a ladies drink in India.

Absolutely.

US wants operational control if it sells the F-35 to India, and India should stand it's ground.

India should go for SU-57 instead of handing over it's sovereignty to the US.

Who will be the next Asian leader to bend the knee in Washington DC? You know South Korea's Yoon would be there licketly-split but he is currently inconvenienced in a jail cell. My guess is Marcos Bong Bong Jr.

"We're also paving the way to ultimately provide India with the F-35 stealth fighters," said Trump.

So round 1, Modi 1 vs Trump 0 then. India wasn't a partner to the F35 program, didn't contribute $$$ to development, but now gets to buy F35s?

Don't forget India has Russian S400 missiles. If India has S400 AND F35, it can slowly calibrate its S400 to defeat the F35's stealth, then the F35 will be worth nothing, $0, zilch.

Mr Trump are you that desperate to score a 'trade' win, you're willing to bendover with military secrets?

How much do you want to bet Failed Businessman overruled common sense and a guy in a wheelchair in letting India have the F-35 to reverse engineer and end up selling to russia?

I will believe it when I see it.
