Trump trying to interfere in private business, as he is wont to do, simply because they don’t lie for him. Foul.

10 ( +16 / -6 )

so tell us who they are and let us decide.

This is several years old information and direct character assassination, no reason why it needs to be hidden who claims what.

"I can tell you that my sources are unimpeachable," Griffin said on-air Saturday on her network. "My sources are not anonymous to me and I doubt they are anonymous to the president."

-22 ( +7 / -29 )

so tell us who they are and let us decide.

Decide what?

8 ( +14 / -6 )

This irrational bully cannot accept the truth.

Once a fraud, always a fraud.

One more example he is unfit to be President of the United States of America (POTUS). The damage he has caused to the USA, and the world, is incalculable. He wants four years to completely ruin the nation and cause more pain throughout the world. Enough already.

13 ( +18 / -5 )

Decide about their credibility to be believed.

Thats why they wont say who these people are so that we can decide for ourselves if they are credible or not.

Also, this just further shows that Fox News is not the partisan news outlet liberals claim. There are many Trump haters there, just fewer than CNN.

Decide what?

-20 ( +7 / -27 )

So 2 years ago this comment didn't mean anything to report it but suddenly it does 2 months before the election? I see.....

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Decide about their credibility to be believed.

Who decides, a horde of partisan armchair judges?

Virality does not trump veracity.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Typical fascist move by Trump, bury the truth by vilifying the press. In this case Fox news. Murdoch may have turned on Trump, I doubt this confirmation by Fox would not be done without his permission.

And for the military folks who are Trump supporters still, did we not tell you years ago he is a fake President and a pure con man. He thinks you all are idiots for joining the military but he will steal your votes if he can. If you vote for him now, he may be right.

9 ( +15 / -6 )

...if he isn't punished for lying 25,000 times since he assumed office, why should others suffer for telling the truth? ... and I thought he said it was a lie, anyway.... so are we going to begin holding liars to account, as well as truth tellers? More incomprehensible gibberish from the gibbon-in-chief.

9 ( +13 / -4 )

these polls never add up anywhere close to 100% and Biden never gets half.

37.4 percent of active duty personnel support Trump's re-election bid, while 43.1 percent back Joe Biden.

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

Decide about their credibility to be believed.

You mean you're not going to be hyper-partisan on this issue? Haven't you already decided that it is all a hoax / witch hunt / MSM hit-job etc?

4 ( +9 / -5 )

nope, tell me who her "unimpeachable" sources are and lets discuss. Until then it is unverified nonsense, presented, without evidence..

-16 ( +5 / -21 )

Would love to hear a recording of this to be found.......

Sad TRUTH is trump has a history of this kind of idiot talk, he is WAY overdue for removal from the WH, just get him OUT!! I dont care how I just want to see it happen SOON!!!

6 ( +10 / -4 )

nope, tell me who her "unimpeachable" sources are and lets discuss. Until then it is unverified nonsense, presented, without evidence..

Do such people exist in your mind? They haven't so far, so I'm doubting they will.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

@Blacklabel

these polls never add up anywhere close to 100% and Biden never gets half.

Maybe just maybe its because people are undecided its not rocket science my 4 year old can work that one out..Trump on brother Trump on.....

6 ( +12 / -6 )

Trying to tell us this story is true, I doubt it as well.

Why could all of this not have been confirmed 2 years ago when this story was first annouced?

These sources didnt exist then? they were "unavailable" to comment until now? whats the reason they didnt step forward in 2018? this is not a new story at all.

did you notice the TV ads with this exact attack were already produced and released the same day as the Atlantic story? advance notice and coordination with the campaign, anyone?

-16 ( +6 / -22 )

"You can't handle the truth!"

5 ( +6 / -1 )

These sources didnt exist then? they were "unavailable" to comment until now? whats the reason they didnt step forward in 2018? this is not a new story at all.

Like I said, you have already decided that the sources are unreliable.

The idea of you actually not believing Trump for once is hard to imagine.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Let me give everyone a quick lesson on how Trump supporters determine credibility: If the person, poll, or institution is pro-Trump, they/it is credible beyond description; if it is against Trump, it lacks all credibility.

It’s a very simple, transparent, and hypocritical standard; however, it is their standard.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

I am against all "anonymous" sourcing.

If you dont have a name who can provide evidence for public scrutiny, you dont write the story. Cause its not "news" yet.

The Trump side has 10 on the record officials and multiple government documents that support their assertations that these allegations are false. What does the other side have? the same anonymous people talking to multiple media outlets, who each confirm each other, by talking to the same anonymous people.

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

Our dictator-loving President doing his best to copy his Master and Mentor Putin and his business partner Xi...

Suppress the media....invoke a "State TV"....punish and censor those that speak the truth; especially if it's critical of you...

Won't happen Donald - our democracy is too strong for you to dismantle it....

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Jennifer Griffin is doing her journalist job: cross-checking info and protecting her sources as simple as that.

There is no democracy without professional journalism.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Give me an actual name of someone who has credibility and we can see.

this "anonymous source" could be Joe Biden hearing it third hand from Richard Steele, for all we know.

yes, it is true we dont trust the liberal media or their sources. they make it hard to even try to by making up things that sound fake on their face and not having any believable sources. Try some actual journalism for once instead of gossip mongering.

The idea of you actually not believing Trump for once is hard to imagine.

-13 ( +4 / -17 )

nope, tell me who her "unimpeachable" sources are and lets discuss. Until then it is unverified nonsense, presented, without evidence..

*A person** was on a plane, said there were about 6 people like that person, more or less, and what happened is the entire plane filled up with the looters, the anarchists, rioters, people looking for trouble. The person felt very uncomfortable on the plane.*

--Donald J. Trump

I'd like to know who that "person" was and then discuss. Until then it is, in your words, "unverified nonsense, presented without evidence". Care to apply your outrage to Trump's near-daily unverified nonsense?

At least in the case of The Atlantic story, the sources have been corroborated by The NY Times, Washington Post, AP, and Fox News. Trump can't even get his own paid-to-lie press secretary to corroborate his "story".

10 ( +14 / -4 )

no they just all talked to the same people making the same unproven allegations.

the sources have been corroborated by The NY Times, Washington Post, AP, and Fox News.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

yes, it is true we dont trust the liberal media or their sources.

Did you read the article? Or even the title? It's from Fox News, they aren't liberal media. They are barely media.

Do you agree with Trump that Griffin should be fired?

11 ( +16 / -5 )

until this person comes forward this is also "unverified nonsense, presented without evidence"-that is correct.

The difference is that liberals are presenting the story in this article as proven true because it was "corraborated". its not, any more than the ridiculous Trump statement is.

I'd like to know who that "person" was and then discuss. Until then it is, in your words, "unverified nonsense, presented without evidence". Care to apply your outrage to Trump's near-daily unverified nonsense?

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Nobody here dislikes the man my wife succinctly calls "the Rooster" more than I do (my wife grew up poor in Mao's China, the rooster struts around the yard cluck-cluck-clucking then out of nowhere decides to peck at something and make all the other creatures in the yard flap, and squawk and run around excitedly) but this accusation has me scratching my head. No question he slagged John McCain and while I disliked his politics intensely we are both former Naval Aviators and I revere his wartime service and this draft dodging sob has no businesses saying what he said about John McCain. He suffered far worse indignities in the Hanoi Hilton than the Rooster ever suffered at the hands of the press and with none of the whining that comes from the Rooster. And his attack on a Gold Star family was equally inexcusable. So there is precedent. But had I been in uniform and a President said something like he is accused of saying within earshot the Navy would have courts martialed me into oblivion but I would have said something right there on the spot, and it would not have been kept from the press. So did he really say it? Did officials in the Defense Department suppress the fact not wanting to embarrass the President? If so, if a President said something like that and top DoD officials and/or uniformed members of the military kept their mouths shut then those who remained silent deserve as much opprobrium as the President. At this point, however, who knows?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

So they haven an antitrumper reporter on Fox, who repeats the latest "mainstream" media smear, What else is new. As for the content of the smear, only the most fanatic Trump haters would believe this nonsense.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

the ridiculous Trump statement

Glad you agree that Trump's statement is ridiculous. I hope you also realize that as POTUS he shouldn't be spouting this kind of crap on a daily basis.

Or do you support Trump simply because you hate liberals and he makes them upset?

9 ( +11 / -2 )

I support him when he says things that are true that do have evidence.

That the liberal media identifies anyway as "without evidence". When there is evidence but the Dem narrative dictates that they avoid showing the people, so their media supress it. Like when they call protesters "mostly peaceful" when they obviously arent or when they call someone "unarmed" when they have weapons.

Or do you support Trump simply because you hate liberals and he makes them upset?

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

So they haven an antitrumper reporter on Fox, who repeats the latest "mainstream" media smear

"Several of Griffin's colleagues at Fox have publicly defended her on Twitter, along with Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger, who called her "fair and unafraid."

Seems like they have more than one antitrumper at super mainstream media Fox. You must feel a little betrayed that the White House Channel isn't playing the Trump fake news game today.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Oh, dear! Maybe this is why Trump didn’t care about ask Putin about the Russian bounty on American soldiers. This is awful.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Trump also says there is no evidence that that Russian dissident found with poison in his body was poisoned. The USA, leader of the free world, appeasing Russia and that nice Mr. Putin. MAGA indeed.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Ah, the dictator-in-chief now wants people in the media fired if they do their jobs and he doesn't like it.

Blacklabel: "I am against all "anonymous" sourcing."

And yet you support Trump and believe him every single time he makes up garbage, saying, "I know someone who said... ", but in the case of these reports they have been substantiated. And lest we forget what he is on the record saying McCain was a loser.

"so tell us who they are and let us decide."

No, you've already decided. You just want whom they are to be known so you can support Trump threatening them, too.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Living in Japan, we cannot watch FOX News. We could watch it long time ago but no more. I miss the broadcasting very much though I did not like O'Reilly at that time. He is a bad man. We can watch BBC World News and CNN and I prefer BBC. CNN is noisy and for the young people.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

What else is new. As for the content of the smear, only the most fanatic Trump haters would believe this nonsense.

If the sources are anonymous, the story cannot be true, especially if it is against our Lord 'n' Savior Donald Trump 'n' His Friends.

If the sources reveal themselves, they are just disgruntled liars who are looking for a book deal.

BTW, when is QAnon going to reveal his/her/their identity?

8 ( +10 / -2 )

And if you need a good laugh, read this - on Fox no less....

https://www.foxnews.com/us/boats-sink-trump-boat-parade-texas

I wonder how many "sinking ship" memes this will create....LOL....

Thats why they wont say who these people are so that we can decide for ourselves if they are credible or not.

Also, this just further shows that Fox News is not the partisan news outlet liberals claim. There are many Trump haters there, just fewer than CNN.

If the allegations were true Bolton would have confirmed it, he said he would have dedicated to writing a chapter on that alone in his book. Bolton May be a disgruntled staff, but he even called red flag on that one.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Given the media's history of outright lying, twisting and taking comments out of context,

I'm thinking it's more of the SOS, with this reporter.

It's become so much so, that like the downvotes on this site,

everything must be taken with a grain of salt.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

If the allegations were true Bolton would have confirmed it [sic],

That is not a logical necessity. He may not have been privy to Trump's comments.

Besides, you called Bolton an opportunistic liar. If he wanted to 'take down this duly elected president', why wouldn't he go along with these allegations too?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

To me, the tantrum the moron in chief is throwing is proof that the allegations are true.

And it's pretty easy for me to tell when he is lying lately, besides just when his lips are moving. When he calmly tries to explain something away, or calmly claims no knowledge of something, or says "many people have said...", or "many people agree with me..." (talk about anonymous sources!) - he is lying.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Trump doesn’t love America. He’s only interested in how much money he can squeeze out of it. He doesn’t give a damn about our soldiers and he sure as hell doesn’t care about the little people. He’s a criminal who should have been investigated a long time ago.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

In Trump's brave new world, telling the truth is definitely grounds for dismissal.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

just 37.4 percent of active duty personnel support Trump's re-election bid, while 43.1 percent back Joe Biden.

Looks like 43.1% of the U.S. Armed Forces is comprised of far-left Marxist anarchists hell bent on taking down this duly elected president!

3 ( +8 / -5 )

It’s rich when Trump supporters claim to only believe him when he has verifiable sources given they rush to defend his constant lying or try to spin it.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

I read Jeffery Goldberg's Atlantic Monthly commentary: "Trump: Americans Who Dies in War are 'Losers' and 'Suckers' "

Can a U.S. President mock his country's fallen soldiers by saying they are "losers" and "suckers"? It’s really unbelievable.  Once he turned to an aide and said of a Marine general that he was so smart for a military man that he should have entered business, a more lucrative career.

For Trump, money seems everything. Losing one's life for one’s nation or for honor is something not worthy, money-wise, as far as Trump is concerned.

Is Goldberg's piece "a fake story" as an angry Trump accuses?

It‘s very interesting that a habitual pro-Trump Fox News endorses Goldberg's anti-Trump piece.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

only the most fanatic Trump haters would believe this nonsense

No, only the most fanatic Trump supporters would disbelieve this entirely credible story. (And after all these years I still don't understand how anyone with even a modicum of intelligence can be a Trump supporter.)

3 ( +6 / -3 )

I doubt Trump said the things he is accused of based on the fact "anonymous sources" make the claim. After all my "anonymous source" says your "anonymous source" is has a strong tendency towards coprophagia. However, I do disagree that the soldiers were "losers" and "suckers". Most all of the boys were just poor boys who were drafted and sent to the meat grinder by a Democrat president who brought the US into the war to prevent financial losses by the banksters. Those boys had little choice in the matter. The only "losers" and "suckers" would be those would willingly get into such a mess.

Personally, I support Trump for one reason. He is the first President since WW1 to refuse to start wars the US has no business being part of. His refusal is the reason he is taking such heat. Think Syria and gas pipelines to Europe and all the money that could be made by the right people if only a certain inconvenient leader were disposed of.

People who support sending the US army kill people for fun and profit are evil.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Right. I'm totally convinced. Just like because it was based on an anonymous source known as Deepthroat, the Watergate scandal was universally dismissed as false, and Nixon was never prosecuted or impeached behind it.

*Trump calls on Fox News to fire reporter after she confirmed his alleged remarks on Marines killed in action*

The latest from Glen Greenwald.

Journalism’s New Propaganda Tool: Using “Confirmed” to Mean its Opposite

“It’s possible because news outlets have completely distorted the term “confirmation” beyond all recognition. Indeed, they now use it to mean the exact opposite of what it actually means, thereby draping themselves in journalistic glory they have not earned and, worse, deceiving the public into believing that an unproven assertion has, in fact, been proven. With this disinformation method, they are doing the exact opposite of what journalism, at its core, is supposed to do: separate fact from speculation.“

Even if he did, so what? I can see you are that rare person has never said anything awkward in idle conversation. I bet you can also remember everything you've ever said - even years later.

This was not an official speech or policy.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Trump HATES Sen. john McCain, he shown total disregard for WW1 vets, says PTSD vets are 'weak', and he totally lambasted a dead GI who was a Muslim. And he has misused them in unnecessary wasteful missions at the mexican border and he has lied about the ISIS war. Our forces have not left Syria, he lies about it. And he endangered SEALs by having an uninvited Christmastime selfie with them. It was an ego trip of course.

And donald trump is a traitor.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

When the rubes and the trogs turn on FOX, y'know the end is nye for them and their rotten, un-American movement.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

He said it, no doubt. He makes a living disparaging people he is jealous of and had the nerve to disparage a true patriot like John McCain. He dodged the draft and now wants to act like he was always a staunch supporter. The bone spurs guy and his supporters think he is a patriot but he is the biggest of traitors. Never joined it and only "supported" the military when he saw some kind of political gain for himself but he will support his master Vladimir on anything.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I heard Trump say on TV that John McCain was a loser for getting shot in Vietnam. I have no reason to think that this report is unthrouthfull. Some people here are saying:

Why could all of this not have been confirmed 2 years ago when this story was first annouced?

These sources didnt exist then? they were "unavailable" to comment until now? whats the reason they didnt step forward in 2018? this is not a new story at all.

Stop making excuses for Trump, open your eyes to what kind of man Trump really is...

I knew what kind of a man he is before last election and I knew it is going to be a disastrous presidentship for US and the world, by listening to what he says and the way he says it. When people started saying things like 'He will grow in to this position" and "He will take the responsibility of the office seriously". I and many of my friends knew he was going to win, we were all going "NO NO NO that is not going to happen!!!" he is a showman, he is going to run this office and America like a TV show with all the drama and BS just like all his TV shows. Everybody thought his "grab them by the pussy" comment will kill his chances, but I saw peoples reaction to that, especially women's reaction and I knew that it will give him more support and that he was going to win... The rest is history...

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Glad that Fox News - a reliable news source according to all the right wing posters here, based on its ratings - has confirmed what we already knew two years ago. Trump didn’t go to the ceremony because he hates the troops and didn’t want to get his hair wet. I said all of this at the time.

I was right.

Trump supporters not believing anything that puts Trump in a negative light?! Glad I was sitting down for that shocker.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

I am reading “Hoax” at the moment. The news side is increasingly frustrated in the takeover of the channel by the “talent” side.

A reporter does her job and confirms a story (that had already been independently confirmed by Wapo). And for this sin Don wants her fired.

The real problem is that she is introducing the story to Trump’s low information voters via a channel that they might actually watch.

Sorry Don, you do t get to dictate what is and is not reported (yet).

This is all clearly a conspiracy between the liberal msm and the Dems to undercut Trump’s badly needed, but falling, support from military members.

This is all clearly a conspiracy between the liberal msm and the Dems to undercut Trump’s badly needed, but falling, support from military members.

No sarcasm needed. Identity politics is a well known practise. The "fine people" hoax was targetted at blacks, and this "veterans" smear at military people. Pretty much as low as you can go, but no surprise.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

There was no “fine people hoax”. Trump said Nazis were fine people. It’s a fact.
