Going by some of his comments Trump isn't very enthusiastic about this whole campaigning thing:

"It wasn't even going to be like we had an election... I probably wouldn't be standing out here in the freezing rain with you... I'd be home in the White House, doing whatever the hell I was doing. I wouldn't be out here."

"We win Wisconsin, we win the whole ballgame. What the hell do you think I'm doing here on a freezing night with 45-degree winds? Do you think I'm doing this for my health? I'm not doing this for my health."

"By the way, nice trucks. You think I could hop into one of them and drive it away? I'd love to just drive the hell out of here. Just get the hell out of this," he went on. "I had such a good life. My life was great."

Inspiring stuff.

What the hell is Trump talking about, a "super recovery?" What incredible nonsense.

It's interesting to compare economies under Obama vs Trump. Even without the Trump CoviDepression, Obama's administration took over during the great recession and had better metrics than Trump. The last two years of the Obama administration were great economic years compared to the first 3 years of Trump.

No manufacturing jobs were added, contrary to Trump's lies.

No automobile factories were added, contrary to Trump's lies.

The unemployment was an extension of the Obama administration stats.

Turns out that Trump inherited the economy of Obama and did nothing to enhance it at all, contrary to the lies.

The economy under Trump was simply a straight extension from the Obama economy. The Dow was up higher, but the stock market is not a reflection of the economy. It's now a world unto its own.

He's just a man running out of time

According to Forbes magazine, he's over $1 billion in debt and not ~$400 million he said. Everything he says is a lie.

He owes money to the Bank of China and Deutsche Bank.

Some of the debt is still hidden and he won't say who it is owed to.

Here's the link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexander/2020/10/16/donald-trump-has-at-least-1-billion-in-debt-more-than-twice-the-amount-he-suggested/#c7802cd43306

According to Forbes magazine, he's over $1 billion in debt and not ~$400 million he said. Everything he says is a lie.

And I think I've worked out how he fiddles his taxes - a company that he owns receives money from the business and lends it to Trump. As you know, you don't pay income tax on money you borrow. He doesn't repay the money, or if he does make repayments, it is on very generous terms using the money loaned to him. So doing, he bypasses the income tax regime.

It's a pity that this hasn't been explored more by the NYT or other media who could have blown his shady finances wide open. Hypocrisy is always a vote loser and Trump would be revealed for the sniveling little crook that he is.

Some 57.4 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump's coronavirus response,  while 39.8 percent approve,

That any Americans at all can 'approve' of how Trump's blundered the pandemic says a lot about Trump followers.

The 39.8% figure is probably to be expected. I've long thought that roughly 35% of Americans are 'fundamental-ish', i.e. strictly adhere to American fundamentalist beliefs. One of these fundamentalist beliefs is some sort of supreme power oversees everything, even chooses leaders for us. Because the leader was chosen by the power, the fundies must trust and obey. Even if the leader is their crazy uncle.

226,000 deaths, 8,800,000 sickened, an economy in shambles (except for the 'elite'). All under Trump's watch.

Hypocrisy is always a vote loser and Trump would be revealed for the sniveling little crook that he is.

His fans will just make excuses and pass it off as being a smart businessman. "It's a business owner's responsibility to his company to pay as little tax as possible" or some line of guff like that.

Seven people have been hospitalized after attendees of a late-night Trump rally at an airport in Omaha, Nebraska, were stranded in the cold.

A large portion of the crowd, estimated to be in the thousands, remained at the site waiting on buses hours after Trump’s plane had departed, according to reporters on the scene. Outside temperatures were about at the freezing point.

A microcosm of the way Trump has run the country for the past four years and his mishandled COVID.

Biden has no business running for president of the United States. He is totally corrupt and in the pocket of China. Plus he couldn't remember the name of the current president of the United States the other day, starting to call him "George..."

Plus he couldn't remember the name of the current president of the United States the other day, starting to call him "George..."

He called him Abraham during the debate, did you miss that?

The 59th quadrennial United States presidential elections Tuesday, November 3, 2020, has shamefully descended into a farce, a master class in playground politics.

The personalized name calling has taken precedence over the genuine desire to fully hold both candidate accountable for there policy, to fully analysis and subject policy to open debate and scrutiny.

The media play along, dependent on there political affiliation. It is flipping outrageous.

There is nothing subtle about Donald Trump campaign, the style, the bombast approach to holding rallies, the policy agenda is straight forward, politically akin to being clouted on the back of the head with a shovel.

Joe Biden is far more slippery.

What underlies the weasel rhetorical manifesto promises and pledges, an ever flowing gushing literary of platitude, banality and cliché.

Joe Biden.

"Only when we vote can we begin to steer America's future in a new direction -- a direction of truth over lies, science over fiction, and hope over fear,"

Perfidy, if Joe Biden is not open and honest explaining fully the changes to ordinary American people families that will make this statement a reality.

Joe is the face of the Democrat campaign. What politically is worming its way through the woodwork is an agenda/ideology based on resentful envy, begrudging resentment..

Joe Biden’s 67 Percent Tax on Wealth

https://taxfoundation.org/joe-biden-estate-tax-wealth-tax/

We estimate that Biden’s estate tax proposal would raise more than $280 billion over the next decade and reduce the size of the economy by 0.15 percent. While this might seem a small impact on economic growth, it is outsized compared to the amount of revenue raised and the number of estates affected. Indeed, in a $30 trillion economy, for example, 0.15 percent amounts to $46 billion in reduced economic activity, nearly double what Biden’s estate tax plan is expected to collect annually.

The fact that the estate tax inflicts more harm to the economy than the amount of revenues it raises for the government is yet another reason it should be repealed, not rolled back to 2009 law.

Joe Biden.

Biden is good at one thing - talking a lot without actually saying anything.

The coronavirus results for the US is more or less on par with other countries like the UK, Italy, etc. Not better, not worse substantially. Given that the 50 states have substantial power over this, not too surprising.

The difference is that the US economy is recovering far more quickly. Three years of fabulous growth, three quarters of downturn, and it is already coming back.

I can't for the life of me see anything about Joe Biden to vote for, except that he isn't Trump. And that may be a demotivating factor come election day.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Joe Biden is the anyone but Trump candidate.

In this haze of red mist, Trump could be the frying pan, only to jump into the Biden fire.

Then to find that Biden is only President by name.

Pulling the Biden strings will be a whole legion of progressives, at present lying dormant.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Biden is good at one thing - talking a lot without actually saying anything.

A typical trump answer to Hannity’s interview question, “What are your priorities for a second term?”:

"One of the things that will be really great — you know, the word 'experience' is still good, I always say talent is more important than experience. I've always said that. But the word 'experience' is a very important word, it's a very important meaning. I never did this before. I never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington I think 17 times — all of a sudden I'm president of the United States. You know the story. I'm riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our first lady, and I say, 'This is great.'"

If there are some hidden code words in there about health reform or tax cuts you’ll have to decipher it for us.

We Have A Lot Of New Polls But There’s Little Sign Of The Presidential Race Tightening

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/we-have-a-lot-of-new-polls-but-theres-little-sign-of-the-presidential-race-tightening/

After a surprisingly sluggish weekend for polling, the floodgates have opened, with a mix of high-quality polls, low-quality polls and pretty much everything in between. And although there are some outliers in both directions, they tell a fairly consistent story, overall: A steady race nationally, perhaps with some gains for Joe Biden in the Midwest.

(end)

I guess Americans aren't buying his "COVID is over" talking points.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

trump's desperation is pitiful!!!

Facing a sinking ship, the rats scrambling to get out, he wants to convince himself there's no ship.

Even the most extreme racists are not buying his 'The COVID is over ' argument.

The only reason they stick with him is he's all they have !!!

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Trump, who at 74 caught and overcame COVID-19, has thrown that caution to the wind.

trump, melania, Barron and even kimberly received millions of dollars worth of treatment, which rest of America cannot even dream of. pence is going out and possible infecting people knowing well he will receive the same level of care.

The lives of ordinary Americans do not matter to this bunch, and some Americans are too stupid , too racist or both to realize it!!

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Well, the fix is in.

There are still almost half of the mail-in and absentee ballots requested by voters are still floating around.

The Post Office (run by Trump's lap dog Louie DeJoy) has slowed things to a crawl so they ballots may not be received in time.

A federal judge ordered DeJoy today to reverse the slow-down tactics immediately, even though DeJoy promised weeks ago to do so when previously ordered to do so.

Was he promised a pardon if Trump's get's re-elected?

Where is the proof, that he really caught it ?, Once a con man always a con man., a zebra cannot

change it's stripes.

This election was done when Trump tried to change the narrative from COVID to his SCOTUS pick, and ended up infecting over 40 people to include himself, then he passed the virus on to his wife and son...ensuring the virus was the key issue for voters....karma....

Then it was sealed when after turning the Rose Garden into Chernobyl, they disregarded health protections again and five of Pence's staff became infected...

Trump can't even keep the White House grounds safe...let alone the rest of America....

Mitch McConnell refuses to go to the White House - "The Turtle" says "no way".....

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/10/08/politics/mcconnell-white-house-coronavirus/index.html

What an endorsement of the President's competence, huh? From a fellow Repub no less....

Hang it up Trump supporters - prepare yourselves now for the reckoning...

Yeah, half the time he doesn't know what he's running for, who he's running against, where he is (maybe that's why he's sticking to Delaware (Delewhere?).

Or perhaps Biden is hiding because he does not want to be asked about those things that we are not allowed talk about.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Trump already knows he is going to lose, so I hear he is already working on his post-Nov life....

Remember the Trump Taj Mahal Atlantic City Casino and Resort (which by the way went bankrupt)...

He's now looking at building a Trump White House Moscow Casino, Resort and Office Tower...

And given who his financier and partner is, this one might have a chance of succeeding...

so then tell these Democrat governors and mayors to open up the cities to stop the lockdowns, Japan is doing it and if they can do it we can do it as well if you follow the safety protocols and guidelines, so far the rioters and looters don’t seem to be falling down and dying, so it should be OK that everyone can go back to work and back to school, of course in a Safe way. Let these job creators do what they do best and let them provide jobs for needy Americans and let people go back to work and not depend on government it’s not the answer and besides we just don’t have that much money anymore, we need to hold these Democrat leaders responsible for causing such a wreck to the nation.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Trump is going to win. Many who hate him will not accept the result of the vote, and some of them will become violent and will riot.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

when trump's followers question Biden's fitness, just remember trump cannot walk down a ramp, finds it difficult to climb stairs, doesn't know how to handle an umbrella, thinks there were airports in the 18th century and cannot spell his wife's name!!!

Politico is running a story ' Is President Donald Trump a flight risk'?

You bet he is!!!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

yet CNN just admitted that Trump has 24% of the Black vote in their latest poll.

Even with that, he is still losing by 12 they say.

How can this be?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

CNN comrade?

Seriously?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Or as Biden knows it, "Delawhere?".

Saw another snatch of him trying to answer a question and once again failing.  Poor old dude is past it.

Amazes me that self proclaimed patriots are prepared to let this old geezer near the levers of power.  When they have to put him out to pasture within months of (possibly) winning the election, the voters will never forgive them for this duplicity.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Politico is running a story ' Is President Donald Trump a flight risk'?

You bet he is!!!

I read that story also - and thought it was a cute joke...

But then I gave it a little more thought, and changed my mind - that is a real concern...

He's already an unindicted co-conspirator in the illegal Stormy payoff case, the Trump Org is under investigation for tax fraud, and his personal attorney Crazy Rudy is under multiple DOJ investigations - how many of those involve Trump?

As soon as he loses on Nov 4th the FBI Director needs to go confiscate his passport. If he wants to flee, let him hide in a box like Ghosn did...

trump is set to lose in Georgia, yes Georgia!!!!!!

The campaign staff is sending out their resumes to anyone who is willing to look at them.

Feel sorry for some of them, once you have trump campaign on your cv, nobody will touch you except the Qanon types!!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

so, how do you explain the greatest spikes are all in republican run states and cities? The one where less people seem to wear masks?

I have a sister that lives in Florida and she told me everybody’s happy everybody’s moving about more freely, but cautiously and you are seeing a lot more New Yorkers moving to that sunshine State, so they seem to be all doing fine. Work is still slow, but it’s slowly getting back on track and that’s a good thing.

What a metaphor for a failing campaign - Trump throwing his own supporters, literally, under the bus...

President Donald Trump’s rally at Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska, ended around 9 p.m. Tuesday, but hundreds of attendees wouldn’t make their way out of the freezing cold until a few hours later.

As Trump jetted away on Air Force One, his supporters lined up to wait for buses to take them back to their cars, which were parked miles away from the event.

But the buses, organized by the Trump campaign, were staggeringly slow to return. There were plenty of buses, the campaign told the Omaha World-Herald, but they were stuck in traffic after the rally because the two-lane airport access road was limited to one direction.

The temperature dropped as low as 31 degrees Tuesday night. At least two people received help from police, including an elderly woman warming up in the back of a police cruiser and a young boy, according to the World-Herald.

Thirty people were “contacted for medical reasons” and a total of seven people were transported to hospitals “with a variety of medical conditions,” Omaha police told HuffPost, citing preliminary reports.

What fun - attend a Trump rally, get stranded in 10 degree weather waiting for a bus, get frostbite, and get COVID too!

Winning!

But then I gave it a little more thought, and changed my mind - that is a real concern...

I think it's a very serious concern , but the question is where will he run to?

The trump brand has turned toxic, most of the properties are surviving due to people who wants favors from the US government. Once that is gone, bankruptcy will be fast and brutal.

So who will accept someone as toxic as trump, especially when he has no money!!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The trump presidential bid was a marketing ploy of a failed businessman and it backfired when he got elected, something even he didn't expect.

Four years of destroying America will demolish his crumbling businesses, his not so bright children will kick him out to save whatever they can, his associates will be in prison, and if trump is able to avoid prison himself will have nothing left.
