Mueller's conspiracy theory is looking ever more ridiculous.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

has largely eschewed taking on a moral leadership role.

because he's genetically a-, perhaps full on immoral.

But any person who's been willing (and able) to read beyond the headlines in infowars, RT, Breitbart, Fox 'news' and other media outlets lauding and/or manipulated by Trump (a master media manipulator) has long been aware the reality TV personality with a history of bankruptcies, stiffing contractors, bait and switch tactics and other unethical business practices has throughout his life had zero regard for morality, honesty, ethics or any other positive qualities most expect from leaders.

He doesn't eschew the role, he's genetically incapable of taking it on. And his cult cheers.

I thought Trump was colluding with Russia?!? Dems are so dumb

U.S. President Donald Trump abruptly canceled a planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin

Given Trump's lifelong involvement with organized crime members, he knows the rules members follow, like omerta. He's also fully aware that those who buck the capo in any way pay the price, and that snitches get dioxin-ated, Novichok-ed, or suicide-d.

Trump's running scared watching his syndicate members falling and Mueller etal getting closer. Expect to see Trump rolling ball bearings around in his small hands ala Bogart's Captain Queeg in 'The Caine Mutiny'.

Well, so much for Trump is in the lap of Putin’s argument.

Just look at the Trumpers here jump at straws - they need them when the next story down is;

Trump's ex-lawyer Cohen pleads guilty to lying about Moscow tower project

Putin likely gave Trump the order to cancel the meeting - they can always communicate through Manafort, Flynn, Papadapolous, Stone, Don Jr, Jared, and all the other Trump officials who previously met with Russians...

9 ( +10 / -1 )

With the recent convictions of two of trumps cohorts he couldnt stand further negative press so did the only thing he could do and cancel the meeting with his boss Putin until another time. I am sure they maintain strong contact via regular telephone conversations.

What is Europe doing?

Its their backyard. They should be taking the lead on this while Ukraine - Russia situation, not the U.S

Collusion that has already happened is being investigated. Murderers have helped old ladies across the street in the past... that doesn't suddenly make their crimes disappear. Russian trolls are so dumb.

You're wasting your time trying to reason with people so ignorant they can only see in black and white unless they are spinning a conspiracy theory.

Every time a conservative opens their mouth, utter stupidity is about to flow therefrom.

Agreed. That said, Europe hasn't been able to take care of its own problems since before WWII.

This happens all the time— he makes some utterance about doing the right thing and then does the wrong thing, but he gets a news cycle where the story is he is considering the right thing. So most of the public just can’t keep up...

We must stop reporting on him the way we typically report on presidents...we need to report on his lies and manipulations and his premeditated assault on decency, honest government and rule of law. The president is a master manipulator, we must adjust the way we report on his disgraceful and dangerous behavior.

Seems like the haters are just a step behind.

And Trumpers know hate, just ask the migrant kids at the border as they try to breath through the tear gas...

Putin likely gave Trump the order to cancel the meeting

Lol and Joy Behar ordered the hit on OBL!

I didn't know you were a fan of Joy Behar - Jane Fonda and Joy Behar - you keep some company....

Interesting. First he's going to meet Putin and now he's not.

What's changed for Vlad? Nothing, he's still messing with Ukraine.

What's changed for Trump? Everything. The Russia investigation has taken a new turn.

Notice how there's no criticism of Putin by Trump. Not a thing. He'll criticise allies, support murderous MBS but silence.

It's coming.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Cancelling a meeting, then saying he's looking forward to meeting him in the future?

Could the slap on the wrist been any lighter?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Trump just sucks people up, chews them for all he can get out of them and spits them out when he's done, which is exactly what he'll do to the US as a nation now he's in a position to.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Coward

Just reading through Trumplets comments its pretty amazing that this story reads to them no collusion with Russia....man talk about dumb...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Agreed. That said, Europe hasn't been able to take care of its own problems since before WWII.

500 million people in the E.U alone. A combined GDP of $12 trillion versus $1.5 trillion. The most affluent continent in the world. Some of the best educated people on the planet. Half of them multi-lingual.

Strange isn't it.

A combination of trying to bring together so many different countries and views which to be fair is always going to be hard and, I think, Germany unwilling to do anything that ruffles feathers.

Germany provides weak leadership of the E.U in my view. I would prefer France takeover the de-facto leadership role. France is more internationalist. More willing, especially under Macron.

It'll be back on by the end of the week - flip flop

So trumps backed out of a meeting with Vladdy ?!!

That’s not how COMRADES do things, putty is a great guy, very good guy after all right:-/

And Trumpers know hate, just ask the migrant kids at the border as they try to breath through the tear gas...

Ahhh, that old myth...here we go again..

Just reading through Trumplets comments its pretty amazing that this story reads to them no collusion with Russia....man talk about dumb...

It’s Funny how the the Trump haters are so desperately clinging to hope that something monumental will come out and that this President will say concede the Presidency after all the nasty tactics employed to undo a duly elected President. Yeah, right. Lol

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Everyone is so eager for a President Pence.

How dull would that be?

Look, Russians hacked the DNC servers. They hack a lot of stuff.

However, none of their efforts convinced people to vote for Trump. People voted out of their own free will. Case in point: The latest indictment did not include any American citizens.

Perhaps it’s because laws are for poor people. (See: Hillary ir Bill colluding with Loretta Lynch, the Seth Rich case, Gaddafi, etc). But if it were meant to be, don’t you think it would have already happened by now?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I am sure Trump will be sneaking off for a rendezvous with Putin.

Country, family, morality should not stand between whatever these two have going.

@Matt Hartwell those numbers don't mean much when Russia could just turn off the gas pipe

They put themselves in that situation by not developing alternatives. Dumb and short sighted.

Although I read a while back there are some new developments off Greece?

They have been trying for a while, but strangely enough all the pipes, agreement projects get thrown out or delayed by wars, foreign invasions, etc.

In Western Europe? What are you referring too exactly?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Expat,

Exactly. Vladi was going to ask him where his penthouse apartment went and Swamp wouldn't have an answer for him.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

As if Russia cares!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Putin probably told Trump to do the cancellation to appear "tough" against Russia. We all know who's the daddy in that relationship.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

On Thursday, Trump justified his pursuit of a Moscow project this way: “There was a good chance that I wouldn’t have won, in which case I would have gotten back into the business, and why should I lose lots of opportunities?” If this isn't an admission of guilt, I've never heard one.

Trump is exhibiting the reason he is not able to function as an honest agent for the U.S. in Argentina. He has recused himself due to the fact that he's unable to do his job as a result of personal conflict brought to light by Cohen's testimony. This is the essence of disqualification. This will end him.

500 million people in the E.U alone

The E.U. is not a country. Are Australia and NZ a single country?

2024 is still quite a long way off though.

If Trump had gone ahead with the Putin meeting, all the anti-Trumpers would be criticizing him for that, lol.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Of course we would. What’s your point?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Trunp was afraid he'd have to have a difficult conversation with Putin about the Ukraine so he dodged.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump did not even have the courtesy to let Putin know beforehand

Putin only found out the same time everybody else was let known

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You can bet Trump will be receiving some angry DMs from Putin tonight.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

No. The meeting was cancelled by Putin. Putin gives the orders in that relationship. Trump obeys.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Me: "If Trump had gone ahead with the Putin meeting, all the anti-Trumpers would be criticizing him for that, lol."

Stranger: "Of course we would. What’s your point?"

Lol... You just proved my point, Stranger. No matter what Trump says or does, you guys will jump all over him.

mukashi, you got any evidence that Putin canceled the meeting? Didn't think so.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Who here believes the Ukrainian boat is the reason for Trump bailing on meeting Putin?

Beuller? Beuller?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

2024 is still quite a long way off though.

It's an even longer way off for a President who hasn't scraped together a 50% approval rating in his entire first term.

This is what counts as a personal best for Trump: a spike at 45%. Considerably below the average of every president preceding him, all the way back to Carter, and also actually below Carter and the next nearest, Truman.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trumps-approval-rating-gallup-highest-level-poll-2018-6

And this is how he really stacks up against the others: the lowest average approval rating of any president since Roosevelt. Not because Roosevelt was lower, but because that's when the figures start.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_approval_rating

As an extra little badge of distinction, he's the only president to maintain an average score in the 30s. The second half of his presidency is going to have to be pretty special to drag himself out of that. It won't be.
