Maybe Trump sent Xi a love-letter, asking for him to not invade for the sake of their love.

So true. And the reason why the sun rises everyday? Trump, of course. God bless his heart.

Oh, I should have read more carefully. Yep, it was:

President Donald Trump on Friday wouldn’t commit to signing bipartisan legislation

Once again, Trump subverting the will of the democracy. To what ends I wonder. I don't see any in the national interest, one would hope he isn't using the office for his own personal gain or that of his family...

What Trump claims here is not far-fetched

Trump is a conspiracy theorist and fabulist with a history of grandstanding and taking credit for things he couldn’t possibly be responsible for. He even claims to have created phrases which have been used in the language for a long time.

His supporters call it puffery and exaggeration. It’s better defined as lies and/or delusional thinking.

And don't forget, he not only created the game, he also became the world's best 4D Chess player! And he exchanged love letters with the leader of North Korea, whom let's remember, had a grandfather whom was reported to never poop.

Delusional Donny is at it again.

Trump asserted if it weren’t for him, China would have responded to the unrest in Hong Kong with brutality, potentially killing thousands in the process. “The only reason he's not going in is because I'm saying, ‘It's going to affect our trade deal, you don't want to do that,’” Trump said.

OK. I guess they'll just wait until after you sign to go in.

As if Trump gives a damn about those protesters in Hong Kong. Laughable.

Wasn't this a bipartisan bill?

What else is there to stop them? Nothing.

Eh? Then why haven't they done it already?

Very true. Did you hear the one about the Repub - the sun rose in the morning and a man was there to see it. A Repub came by and asked how the man knew the sun rose. He said he saw it with his own eyes. The Repub said he didn't like the process by which the man came to that conclusion.

He also questioned the man’s motivations in claiming the sun rises, due to being a guy who claimed he sometimes, and I quote, “likes to stay up late”. Then be pointed out that the man had once cheated on his wife, and therefore these fanciful claims of the sub rising could not possibly be trusted. Though he was also quick to mention that it didn’t matter if the sub came up anyway because it was no biggie.

Seriously, has nobody told Trump how absolutely pathetically weak this sort of thing makes him look?

Here's how it went in Trump's mind:

Xi: I'm sending the troops into Hong Kong.

Trump: Don't do it.

Xi: OK, I won't do it.

President Donald Trump on Friday wouldn’t commit to signing bipartisan legislation supporting pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong as he tries to work out a trade deal with China.

Well, the Dimwit staying true to form - coddle the dictators and tyrants...I'm sure there were love letters sent to Xi, Putin, Kim, all the usual suspects. He just loves those guys...

Either that or Xi promised some made-up dirt on Biden.

Hats off to the Chinese for keeping Trump on the sidelines. I hope he got something good to keep his mouth shut.

What Trump claims here is not far-fetched. If the Chinese didn't think that by suppressing the HK protesters by force they would jeopardize the trade talks with the U.S., they likely would have by now.

What else is there to stop them? Nothing.
