Winning at any price means endorsing the racism of Donald J. Trump, torture advocate.

For Republicans to pretend they are helpless is just a repeat of George W. Bush's fascism. If the results of that debacle were unpleasant Trump's charade will be devastation to Democracy in the States.

It's time for Republicans to stand up and walk out on Trump. Only the RNC can say who is a candidate and who isn't.

The RNC had only four candidates with two dropping very early in the race. I recall a democratic candidate apologizing for the statement "All Lives Matter". I agree with him! ALL lives do matter. The problem for the Republicans is clear. Endorsing a candidate a moral choice, not just political.

The only precedent applicable here, I think, is the 1940 convention, where Wendell Willkie, who placed third on the first ballot behind Taft and Dewey, eventually placed first. That happening with Kasich is plausible, with Trump and Cruz playing the roles of Taft and Dewey.

He's right, but I think you are taking his words out of context as do most liberals. I wouldn't call this praise, it is a pragmatic view of what happened. I have heard my own military officers when I was in the Army talking in the same way to describe other events.

It's guaranteed that the Dems will win the White House this time round, the Repubs are proving too repulsive for most. The real question is what will the angry Trump and Cruz supporters do once they lose? Will they do something about it, or just cower and spread their cheeks and take it like the submissives that we all think they are? I think Trump sees in that as a leader you have to be tough, which is something that Obama never was. When you have the French preaching to you, you are supposed to be tough and your enemies should fear you, then you know the crap has finally hit the fan. Bernie is an odd, OLD man trying to make promises to YOUNG people who have no experience in life. Some have never even had a job, spouse or child. Hillary is also using these young people tonight making promises that they will have free college, and plenty of JOBS. Obama also made promises he couldn't keep just to get elected. Meanwhile the capital gains tax is the highest in the US in California at over 33%. Also, the corporate tax in the US is the third highest in the world. Some countries have no capital gains and some states have no capital gains, so it's not like it's necessary, but in CALIFORNIA when you have 3 million illegal aliens, how do you support them? I just can't see the GOP replacing the top vote-getter. It would just be bad form and let's be honest, Trump supporters might be keen to start lighting things on fire if Trump is replaced. Public safety will have to come into play in some form.

Plus, Cruz is probably the most disliked man in politics and it's hard to imagine him forming a coalition of support. My guess is that he has some extreme legal position that he will argue. People will be able to latch on to the notion that they are just following the law.
