Typical biased ant-Sanders reportage.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Clinton is continuing to dominate... in the South. Sanders has won 4 of the last 6 states. Yeah, Clinton still has more delegates, but Sanders is more than holding his own despite the media downplaying him. Feel the Bern!

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Nice showing by Bernie. Looks like Clinton has some work to do to seal the deal.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Neither GOP candidate can possibly win in November. Trump will go rogue if Cruz is the nominee, and split the vote. Cruz alienates even his Senate colleagues, none of whom has endorsed him, and is generally loathed by US voters. The 2016 GOP primary is a tempest in a toilet.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

smithinjapan,

Actually almost every poll shows Sanders doing better against Trump than Hillary. The same polls show him doing better than Hillary in almost every hypothetical matchup with Clinton actually losing in some polls. He has the highest favorably rating of any candidate, yet he's somehow unelectable according to establishment Democrats and media.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

It's quite apparent that Republicans are very angry with their elected officials.

The truth of the matter is this .... the GOP can't point to a single initiative, proposal or accomplishment to make America a better place for Americans in twenty five years. The Republican elected officials promise .... but never never deliver on the promises.

Republicans voted in November of 2014 to elect a handful of Republicans in the House and Senate on promises that their elected officials would actually accomplish something .... anything.

..... but as usual nothing transpired ..... more failed promises.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The AP has just called it for Sanders in Michigan. YUGE!

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Stunning, Sanders took Michigan!! This is huge!

4 ( +7 / -3 )

"I don't know about panicking, but we sure are afraid that Trump may get the presidency. I can't think of many worse things for the world."

Ted Cruz could be one. This poison-spitting cobra on the world stage could be actually worse. Thankfully, the chances of this repulsive creature winning are slimmer than Trump's.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

No more crony capitalism, wars, central bank control, and useless politicians.

Ah yes! I can remember when I was hopelessly naive too!

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Jindal said don't pander to the stupids.

Trump said he loves the poorly educated. Then he tells them to raise their right hand and pledge allegiance to the bag (of wind). Watching the audience, I was cheering for the minority that refused to do the salute. Outside the military, there is no need for saluting another person unless sarcastically. Was it all a joke?

3 ( +6 / -3 )

bass4funk: "The GOP have absolutely lost their minds"

You've got that right! Nothing more need be said.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Pretty much everyone that is tied to the establishment politics worldwide. To say that they are panicking is a gross understatement.

I don't know about panicking, but we sure are afraid that Trump may get the presidency. I can't think of many worse things for the world.

it's interesting that HRC and Drumpf are such polarizing figures in their respective parties, and yet both will win the nominations.

Bernie is still well in the running.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Oh, yeah, Tex - I hate freebies. Who doesn't? - The idea that citizens can live in America while neglecting to contribute their dues is repugnant. That's why Cruz is so great. The wealthiest 1% of the American population are currently clearly under great duress. While Rubio would only lighten their tax burden by 10% and Trump by 18%, Rubio would do so by a whopping 26%! And you know that those billions would go straight to job creation, because that's what those who earn most of their income from securities do.

If it weren't for the 1% and their inexplicable support for Mr. Melanija "better write that in pencil 'cause who knows which Eastern European blonde I'll be married to next week" Knavs, he'd be toast by now. When they wake up and figure out that Cruz offers a better plate of freebies, he'll get flushed. . . .

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Ignorant and uneducated people like Trump. It shows.

Trump's people sure know how to push the buttons of simpletons to activate them. Simple answers to complex problems are always great to the intellectually challenged.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Republican establishment looks like not playing by their own rule book. Republicans are voting Trump and Cruz, their leaders are saying not acceptable, vote somebody else. Establishment versus voters.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I want to see Bernie on the ticket as VP. I like what he brings to the table in terms of bringing up issues facing the average American like healthcare costs, student debt, and the widening wealth gap. And the lack of prosecutions in the financial sector. And the way he relates to young voters. And...

He's an incredible asset to the Democratic Party and he needs to stay in the spotlight.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

But besides that, what else can he offer? Even if he were to win the presidency, there is no way congress would give him that much latitude

That would depend upon the congress. If we somehow end up with a GOP congress, then you're likely right, as the self-assigned goal of the GOP is to stop the democrats, even if it means holding back the country.

If it's a democratic congress, then I would expect the issues will be debated and voted upon according to their merits. In which case Sanders has a good chance of getting congress to work with him, if he can justify his goals.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

I would expect the issues will be debated and voted upon according to their merits.

Sheesh, Strangerland - you sound like a Schoolhouse Rock video. It doesn't work like that anymore. It goes like, "I'm just a bill looking for bipartisan support and-" (sound of vehicle hitting body, gunfire, and squealing tires.)

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Once again we have Bass trying to pretend that the Democrats have a similar mess going on as the Republicans, so he doesn't have to feel as bad that his party is a disaster.

But everyone outside the bubble knows that while things at the Democrats may be a little untidy, the Republicans have had a tsunami wipe them out, and haven't even bothered cleaning up.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

So how do you explain the record numbers of new voters coming out for Trump?

Someone mentioned that the other day. The GOP has had a half-dozen candidates (now down to four), and passions are fierce on multiple sides. Obviously, partisans in such a situation will vote - but Trump has a nonfavorability rating of over 50% even within the GOP. Let's see these same voters come out for Trump in a general election (or not).

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Ignorant and uneducated people like Trump. It shows.

So you're insulting millions of people.

They've insulted America by supporting a racist blowhard who is not qualified to be president.

Then how would you classify people that would consider voting for Sanders or Clinton, socially naive and gullible?

No.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Tell that to the "Millennials," who couldn't be bothered to show up in 2014.

I do. Every chance I get. That's the stick. Prattling on about civic duty means little to nothing to them, because our schools stopped teaching that stuff long ago.

Then there is the carrot. That is where Bernie comes in: he's speaking to their needs.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Toyota Camry had the highest "Made in USA" content. It may be the same for 2016 also.

Ford moving to Mexico is appalling. To bust the unions I agree, to leave the country to a third world nation, I disagree. No Fords for me!

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Michigan, with big college towns and a sizeable population of working-class voters, should be a good fit for him. But Clinton has led in polling.

The early going actually has Sanders out in front of Clinton. Minus the Dems un-democratic super delegates, the race is still neck and neck.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Update: Trump won Miss. and Mich. After all those bad things they said too.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

But in the meantime a lot of damage is taking place in the US.

What's sad is that you think this is "a lot of damage", when actually, it's the opposite. The only damage occurring is to the ruling elite who see their grip on the strings of power loosening. This isn't damage, this is an awakening, a movement.

Go Trump!

Go Sanders!

No more crony capitalism, wars, central bank control, and useless politicians. Even the Japanese old boy network is getting scared of Trump.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

A lot of people are talking as fact the idea that Cruz is the "Manitoba candidate," sent here by Canada when he was young so that the country could later benefit by rising property prices created by Americans fleeing his presidency. Of course, just because say that doesn't make it true, and I'd never spread a malicious rumor. Ted, really, all you have to do is prove that this slander against you is false. Are you or are you not the "Manitoba candidate"? (Documentation would be nice!)

1 ( +3 / -2 )

And Trump won in Hawaii. Comfortably, for him,but not for the Establishment Repugnacants.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

"Donald Trump swept to victory in both Michigan and Mississippi, overcoming fierce efforts to blunt his momentum."

The Donald is like the monster that just gets bigger and stronger every time you shoot it. OK, Hillary / Bernie, fire away!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"The Donald is like the monster that just gets bigger and stronger every time you shoot it. OK, Hillary / Bernie, fire away!"

Most of the firing seems to be coming from the GOP. They even tried firing Mitt Romney out of a cannon at him.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"The GOP have absolutely lost their minds"

So, since a Trump gets an average of about 41-42% in Trump-Hillary national polls, 41-42% of the electorate have absolutely lost their minds, right?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

bass: But besides that, what else can he offer?

Well, that's a pretty good start in terms of bringing attention to those issues which are impacting all Americans regardless of party. I think one of the biggest threats to the country will be the escalating education and medical costs coupled with the loss of lower paying jobs through automation. We need to start talking about that so both parties can start making concrete platforms.

For now, that's his role, but it's also his strength and weakness. I like what I hear about domestic issues but in terms of international issues - which is very, very important to me - I haven't heard much from him, which is why I'm a bit gun shy putting him as President.

I'm not too worried about his taxes since Congress can keep him in check.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I think one of the biggest threats to the country will be the escalating education and medical costs coupled with the loss of lower paying jobs through automation. We need to start talking about that so both parties can start making concrete platforms.

I can agree fully on that.

For now, that's his role, but it's also his strength and weakness. I like what I hear about domestic issues but in terms of international issues - which is very, very important to me - I haven't heard much from him, which is why I'm a bit gun shy putting him as President.

I'm not too worried about his taxes since Congress can keep him in check

Fair enough. For the record out of all the candidates from either party, I like Sanders the best, because he's honest, hates Wall St. as well as the entire Washington establishment. He's honest about himself what he is and what he stands for. I could never hate someone for that, even if I don't agree with their politics.

They've insulted America by supporting a racist blowhard who is not qualified to be president.

If you think so, then that is you're opinion and you have the right to believe that, but apparently and according to the recent polls judging by the primaries, most of his growing supporters don't care what people think of them, including outsiders domestic or foreign.

No.

Well, I have a different opinion, so we can say we have a difference of opinion on this issue. I think Hillary is THE worst and you think Trump is.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

UnlikeGOP candidate, Hillary and Bernie will focus on trade and economic issues. Carly support Cruz and Rubio thinks GOP elite support him.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

"Ignorant and uneducated people like Trump. It shows."

"So you're insulting millions of people."

You were insulting them by calling them lunatics up to a few weeks ago. Which is the worst insult, ignorant/uneducated or insane? I'd probably go with insane.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I feel the opposite, I think the person you hate will be president

Who cares about what you or I think? I'm talking numbers - all the polls show Hillary beating Trump, and they will probably be the candidates.

So as much as you hate the idea of her becoming president, it's very likely that she will be.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@Sabbath - Same here. I support the Australian viewpoint that voting should be compulsory. There is a $20 penalty for those who don't vote. I also like the fact that they make voting procedures uniform throughout the country for both states and territories. Therefore, you don't have certain parties trying to suppress the vote with all kinds of "restrictions" and other attempts at preventing people from voting like we do in some states in the U.S.

One solution to fix low voter turnout would be to move Election Day to the second Tuesday of November and combine it with Veterans' Day--traditionally celebrated on November 11. --making it a national holiday so that many people have the day off to go and vote. This would send a strong signal about the importance that our country attaches to voting, and what better way could there be to honor those who fought for democratic rights than for Americans to vote on what could become known as "Veterans' Democracy Day?"

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Ahh, back to claiming both sides have a problem so you don't have to feel as bad about backing a disaster of a party that every day becomes a little less defensible.

I don't feel bad about anything. I was just saying what the reality is. Has nothing to do with what I feel. Yes, I don't like Obama or Hillary but has nothing to do with my personal feelings. Strange, please for once just read what I wrote and just leave the personal attacks.

If you cannot defend, try to spread out the blame!

Liberals or conservatives denying the facts is not going to help either side and again, you don't have to worry about it, because the US election doesn't affect you in any way.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

And "seal" the fate of the US with it!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Ahem,

Clinton had accumulated 1,134 delegates 455 of which are super delegates.

That's important to note since the super delegates can change their mind anytime before the Democratic Convention. Without the super delegates the race is much closer and a win in Michigan for Clinton doesn't end the race.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Michigan people remember Hillary pushed Rescue aero industry legislation and Sanders opposed.. About Trump, a couple days ago, he complained every day Japanese cars are shipped to USA more than several ten thousand a day.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

The GOP have absolutely lost their minds if they think they can push the people to vote for a candidate half of conservative voters don't want. All the more reason to establish a third party.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Without the super delegates the race is much closer

Do the Super Delegates have a history of voting for whomever wins the primary? If so, then it's not surprising that Clinton is doing well since she has the lion's share of the popular vote. If the Super D's are voting against the election results, then that would be a problem.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Just like Rubio and Cruz, Trump lies. Japanese brand cars are made in USA. Trnn Ky But that is not bad Î Usually Rubio create lies onn Trump, Cruz on Trump. People ignore now.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Another good line in this shambolic run-up to the election:

"settling for Ted Cruz simply because he’s the Titanic you know"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Wow - Rubio at 9% in Michigan and 5% in Mississippi. Maybe he will drop out before Florida.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“I’m not here asking any of you to pledge your support of me,” Cruz said"

Har!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

it's interesting that HRC and Drumpf are such polarizing figures in their respective parties, and yet both will win the nominations. and i think more people fear a Drumpf presidency than an HRC one so expect to see the first female president of the US.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Has the Michigan GOP learned any lessons from the Flint fiasco?

It appears no they haven't based on the news about the church (whose bishop is a former GOP senate candidate) was granted an oil drilling permit on church owned land inside a residential area. Yum, drinking polluted water sure builds character.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

SuperLib: "I want to see Bernie on the ticket as VP. I couldn't agree more.

bass4funk: "But besides that, what else can he offer?"

As opposed to...? insults about ear and hand size, and about how much one sweats? A House AND Congress that has done more filibustering and blocking than ANY in the history of the nation-like people? The GOP and Republicans have NOTHING to offer the nation, and they have proven it with this election. They are a JOKE (and let me save you the intro to your next response. Just cut and paste, "I know you are but what am I"). Remember when you guys got massacred in 2012, said "never again" and that you were going to "change the party to appeal to more voters"? hahaha... Who would have thought what you guys meant was an actual change for the worse? Well... who but a Republican.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Trump's lie of 'whhe becomes President he will stop importing many ten thousand Japanese cars every day' worked well. Instead of projected Ohio governor, Trump won Michigan.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Trumped again! It almost seemed like Trump was going to offer those who vote for him a free bottle of Trump wine along with a set of steak knives if you were one of the first 100 callers! The longer this goes on, the harder it will be to take the GOP seriously at all. And could this all eventually prove beyond reasonable doubt that basically half of all Americans (those who support the GOP) are actually crazy?!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

just love readin fantasies about Trump's electability.

Ignorant and uneducated people like Trump. It shows.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Ignorant uneducated? check his bio before determining about Trump and millions of his supporters including academies.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Well, I have a different opinion, so we can say we have a difference of opinion on this issue. I think Hillary is THE worst and you think Trump is.

The difference being that the person you hate is the most likely to be president a year from now.

Although I'm still gunning for Bernie.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Are we starting with the personal attacks again?

That wasn't an attack.

Unless you are one of those people that believes facts are attacks.

You guys are so bad at math

I haven't done any math. Just pointing out that all polls show her beating Trump.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"You guys are so bad at math"

Who are "you guys"? Are you talking about 'libs' again? Are 'libs' bad at maths? Because you flip-flopped on Trump supporters being lunatics, can I postulate that conservatives are terrible judges of character and have no principles? Seems a bit sweeping, doesn't it?

Incidentally, you never told us exactly why you had your epiphany on Trump's band of lunatics. Is it because you think 'Trump can change'? Change into what? It seems strange to change your opinion based on a potential change.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

No bickering please.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Depends on which polls you want to believe in, Hillary is dong well on the Democratic side and Trump on the GOP side

Which is why I've stuck to non-partisan polls.

I haven't seen any polls, GOP side or otherwise, that show Trump beating Hillary. Me thinks you are just hoping they exist.

I learned the error of my miscalculations.

When you become crazy, crazy people look sane.

Sorry about the above link. I just double-checked it, and it didn't work. Here it is again:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html#!

@WC626 - there is a difference between favorable ratings and a straight up head to head poll as the above link will show.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Bass at 12:03: "I learned the error of my ways, people can change. Trump can change, Hillary.......completely different story"

Bass at 5:14: "Everyone can change, even Hillary"

Did you bang your head while ROFLing sometime in the afternoon?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

To my fellow Democratic party supporters and sympathizers:

Please, let the right winger, er, I mean "independent conservatives" believe what they want to about Trump's electability. Allow them their little fantasies. Don't attempt to dispel them of their delusions: encourage them.

Come November, it can only mean one thing:

A Democratic landslide.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

how about if we wait and see how this plays out in November?

Politics is not a spectator sport. You win win more of your guys turn out. Its all about getting out the vote.

The party base enthusiasm is key to GOTV.

The funny thing here is, the Trumpites have convinced themselves what they are selling Americans want to buy. We don't. That is what they don't understand.

HRC negatives do not affect her ability to 1) get Sanders voters to come home, and 2) get undeclared/independents/"moderates" to vote for her,

Trump's negatives do. While historically, most Dems and Repubs do come home after the primary, Trump is so disliked by the majority of Republicans, he will likely not get enough of the moderate (center right) conservatives. And there are just not enough ignorant, racist, uneducated white working class people left for him to carry the election.

So, ironically, Trumpite enthusiasm is leading the Republican party to disaster.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Politics is not a spectator sport. You win win more of your guys turn out. Its all about getting out the vote.

Tell that to the "Millennials," who couldn't be bothered to show up in 2014. Only 21.4% of them got off their lazy butts and went down to the polls. Contrast that with 51% of them showing up to do their civic duty in 2008. The bad part about not voting is that elections have consequences. In other words, by abdicating their right to vote two years ago, they let a bunch of old folks who won't be around after the next decade or two make decisions that are going to affect them (the Millennials) for the rest of their lives.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Anti-Obama shenanigans bought out the black vote. I find it hard to believe that all of Trump's immigrant punching ain't gonna bring out the Latino vote.

And remember, if Latinos voted the same as Anglos, Texas would be blue,

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Not in this place we call reality.

Oh, but History IS reality and the biggest indicator or that reality.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is this REALLY all we have to choose from? Is it too late now for anyone else to declare their candidacy?!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Go HRC !

-1 ( +9 / -10 )

This presidential race has been very interesting.

The GOP started with 16! 4 as of today and each a different appeal and the leader a non polotician.

The DNC started with only 4 and quickly dwindles to 2. One a typical polotician with a ton of baggage and possibly an indictment pending and a socialist with some very extreem views on politics who has run a very good race and a better than fair amount of success.

This does show a large part of the nation wants change. Big change. Both parties and drastic in some ways.

Just this week I talked to a couple of female Hillary supporters and asked why, the reply was "because she's a woman"! Are you kidding me! Voting for gender not good fit! Not very deep in the evaluation or decision.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

I get that voters in general in the US HATE the current crop of politicians who sell out to big biz & the rich far too often to the detriment of US people, its gotten very bad, especially on the republican side of things.

When you factor the low education & high level of ignorance among repub voters we end up with the nasty nasty trump garbage the world is seeing to its utter dismay, its pretty scary stuff, the racist, xenophobic crap trump spews & gets cheered for seems like Germany in the late 30s early 40s...........

The only good this is that I believe there are still a great many people smart enough in the US who can see the real danger trump represents so if he wins the dems should clean up

But in the meantime a lot of damage is taking place in the US, sad to see from the outside

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

but Trump has a nonfavorability rating of over 50%

Ahhh....those WONDERFUL polls. Those same polls had Hillary beating sanders by 17% in Michigan. Time to stop putting faith in polls and look at the actual numbers and feeling the pulse of the nation. "I'm voting for Hillary because she's a women" is not good enough to win the election, especially when she has to face the Trump music.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Sander's win in the Michigan Democratic primary defied the odds. However, he only won +7 delegates over Clinton in the delegate total and he is still well behind. Quit crying about how the media is anti-Sanders; facts are facts. Sanders is going to have to do better than ~50% (like he did in Michigan) in Florida, Illinois and Ohio to catch up to Clinton (assuming superdelegates stay put). I look forward to next Tuesday.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Who cares about what you or I think?

Are we starting with the personal attacks again?

I'm talking numbers - all the polls show Hillary beating Trump, and they will probably be the candidates.

You guys are so bad at math, you guys were wrong in 2010 and 2014 and by the way, it's March, we still have a way to go and what about the 20% of Dems that Trump are going over to Trump as well as the unions, things can and do change. Case in point. Rubio was supposed to win Florida, well guess what just happened? LOL Don't put too much stock in the numbers, you might be disappointed. Besides, you can't vote anyway in the states, so you need not worry about the US elections.

So as much as you hate the idea of her becoming president, it's very likely that she will be.

Or not. We don't know yet.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

So as much as you hate the idea of her becoming president, it's very likely that she will be.

She's going to make America whole again. I'm all for it. America needs to make herself "whole" again instead of trying to become like the rest of the world.

Trump said it would be an easy victory. Looks like I'd better go out and buy some more popcorn. Da-da-dada, daaa- I'm lovin' it !

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

I haven't done any math. Just pointing out that all polls show her beating Trump

Depends on which polls you want to believe in, Hillary is dong well on the Democratic side and Trump on the GOP side, the chances of Trump losing to Hillary 7 months ago was a very real and high possibility, but now, no. Actually, if Rubio or Cruz would be the nominee, they would probably lose to Hillary.

Who are "you guys"? Are you talking about 'libs' again?

Yes.

Are 'libs' bad at maths?

For the most part, that is, if you want to count Obama's failures as a win, then that would signal they are horrible at math.

Because you flip-flopped on Trump supporters being lunatics, can I postulate that conservatives are terrible judges of character and have no principles? Seems a bit sweeping, doesn't it?

Unlike false calculations, people can change.

Incidentally, you never told us exactly why you had your epiphany on Trump's band of lunatics.

I learned the error of my miscalculations.

Is it because you think 'Trump can change'?

Everyone can change, even Hillary.

Change into what?

More in your face guy.

It seems strange to change your opinion based on a potential change.

Change is good, liberals rave about it all the time. If Hillary can change for the worst, Trump can also change for the good.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Which is why I've stuck to non-partisan polls.

Which polls would they be?

I haven't seen any polls, GOP side or otherwise, that show Trump beating Hillary. Me thinks you are just hoping they exist.

Actually, they do exist.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/hillary-clinton-favorable-rating

Her negatives are just as high as Trump's. It's up for grabs, neither candidate is particularly well liked by their establishment parties, so my bet is Hillary may be a worthy opponent, but underestimating Trump proved so far be a losing edge, even the GOP is finding out the hard way. The Dems sadly mistaken if they think this will be a breeze for them.

When you become crazy, crazy people look sane.

Something we both can agree upon.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Which polls would they be?

Try these:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

OK--here is something for the tech guys that run this site: I've copied and pasted the link to the Real Clear Politics comprehensive poll results page twice. Both times, the link worked in the "Preview" tab before I posted. Then, after I hit "Submit," the format changed on the link, and the "election" portion of the string had its underscores replaced by italics, and as a result, the link did not work. I even tried to input this manually, but the format changed.

Therefore, just go to: http://www.realclearpolitics.com and click on the "Polls" tab at the top left corner of the page.

The link shows both Jimizo and Bass to be correct. Jimizo is right about Clinton winning a head to head match up in the majority of the polls taken and is shown on this site with a 6.3 average. Believe it or not, a poll taken by FOX showed that Hillary beating Trump by 5 points during its 2/15 to 2/17 poll. However, several polls show Trump winning in five of the polls taken, so the list was not unanimous.

This list also shows Wc626's assertion to be somewhat premature:

AND that's the bottom line people!!

No, the "bottom line" shows that in the majority of polls, if the election happened today, Trump would not be the winner. So before going all "Stone Cold" Steve Austin here, how about if we wait and see how this plays out in November?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Did you bang your head while ROFLing sometime in the afternoon?

No, I realized after 30 years of dealing with Hillary, she's incapable of change, as in positive, now negatively, completely different story.

Please, let the right winger, er, I mean "independent conservatives" believe what they want to about Trump's electability.

No illusions, the fact of the matter is to underestimate Trump or to overestimate Hillary, you need to be careful. Case in point, Rubio is starting to trail in Florida and Trump is leading, his camp and more importantly, the GOP didn't see Trump side knock him, now he's putting every single effort in to win in his home state and it seems at this point-futile. This is the fundamental problem that I have with both parties, both sides NEVER expect the unexpected and this election cycle.

Allow them their little fantasies. Don't attempt to dispel them of their delusions: encourage them.

If you or ANY thinks that, then you guys could possibly be stuck in a serious mental quagmire.

Come November, it can only mean one thing: A Democratic landslide.

Yeah, right...As Jessie Jackson once said, "Keep hope alive."

The funny thing here is, the Trumpites have convinced themselves what they are selling Americans want to buy.

Actually, no. Trump, like him or not, the man creates enthusiasm and excitement and that's a fact, the people are going nuts, new voters as well as people that haven't voted in years and excites the base and again, not to be underestimated, the same goes for Sanders, I don't agree with his socialist politics, but to discount him would be disingenuous, both of these men do something that the Hillary camp cannot do and that is excite their base. Go to a Hillary rally and try to keep your eyes open, it's literally impossible. The most important thing about Hillary supporters, this is not a coronation and Hillary still has a serious problem with her likability, trust issues and States like Colorado, Virginia and Iowa and there's still the FBI investigation that is looming over her head and she's still not in a favorable position with independents about 38% of them don't like her and when it comes to likability among them it skyrockets. It's not all smooth sails for her, so if the Dems and liberals want to go that route and put all their eggs in one basket and believe jumping out of a plane without a parachute is the way to go, so be it. Not saying Trump will win outright, but we have a long way to go and both sides by now should expect the unexpected.

We don't. That is what they don't understand.

Sorry, both sides don't.

HRC negatives do not affect her ability to 1)

They do as well as Trump's and having an FBI investigation over your head, doesn't really invoke trust with voters overall and I'm not talking about her key supporters.

get Sanders voters to come home, and 2) get undeclared/independents/"moderates" to vote for her,

Good luck with that.

Trump's negatives do. While historically, most Dems and Repubs do come home after the primary, Trump is so disliked by the majority of Republicans, he will likely not get enough of the moderate (center right) conservatives.

Could be, but at the same time, Trump is pulling in a lot of disenfranchised Union Democrats, 20% of liberals and more Blacks are starting to swing towards him and the reason, immigration. A lot of illegal immigrants are hurting employment opportunities for many Blacks in urban cities these are giving him huge advantages.

And there are just not enough ignorant, racist, uneducated white working class people left for him to carry the election.

It's generalizations and demonizations of Whites like that, that fuel the anger and determination of his supporters and that is a strong, very strong recruiting call.

So, ironically, Trumpet enthusiasm is leading the Republican party to disaster.

No, the GOP themselves are doing that.

And remember, if Latinos voted the same as Anglos, Texas would be blue,

Texas will turn blue when California turns red.

We don't. That is what they don't understand.

Sorry, both sides don't.

Ahh, back to claiming both sides have a problem so you don't have to feel as bad about backing a disaster of a party that every day becomes a little less defensible. If you cannot defend, try to spread out the blame!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Yes, I understand you would like this to be the reality so you don't have to feel as bad that your party is a disaster that is imploding upon itself.

First of all, it's not my party, I'm not a Republican, I'm not telling myself anything, but Dems and liberals fail, and fail miserably at recognizing and acknowledging their own inaccuracies by thinking they are on sound ground when that couldn't be further from the truth. Even Black voters for the large part are feeling at odds with the Democratic party and are seriously doing a self-inward revaluation of who they are, what it means to be a Democrat and does the party look out for their best interests and the answer is, they do not and have not. Listen to Van Jones, No raving conservative, a deep staunch liberal progressive analyzes Black voters.

I haven't made any personal attacks.

If you say so....LOL

Sure it does, it will affect every person on this planet.

But you can't vote, so no need to worry.

And myself more than many, having family living in the US.

They can vote, if they are citizens or have a green card, that's all they can do. If you lived in the States it would directly affect you, but it doesn't, that would be up to the US citizen. It's either going to be Trump or Hillary one of them will win. We just can't say definitively which one will win.

First of all, it's not my party, I'm not a Republican

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

But you can't vote, so no need to worry.

Of course I worry. As the lehman shock showed, American stupidity can mess things up for the rest of the planet.

But it's the world stupidity that always asks America to take care of their problems.

Not in this place we call reality.

Strangerland: "Bernie is still well in the running."

True, but not for much longer, and he won't win. In some ways I think he honestly would make a better president, and I definitely think he's got the better values of the two, but the fact of the matter is that between Hilary and Trump the former would DEFINITELY win, whereas while it is still pretty certain Bernie would beat Trump, it's less of a clincher. That kind of politics is still slightly functional in the Democratic Party, but obviously not so or else Trump and Cruz would have been out of the running long ago, and not even gotten close to actually winning the nomination.

So, given that, I'd say Bernie is really only still in the running for show; it's already been decided.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Only Sanders and Trump have said they would throw TPP in the trash. Clinton says that as well but we all know puppets do what they are I told to do. Please think about that. We're talking about continued off shoring of jobs and accounts. We call this globalization. 60,000 factory's gone since 2001. Hillary is the worst choice if you think having a job is important.

Great woman who understands TPP

As far as Trumps "hands" comment, it was a very good strong response to a Rubios cheap shot plus the MSM blasting Rubios comment 24/7.

the Republicans have had a tsunami wipe them out, and haven't even bothered cleaning up.

So how do you explain the record numbers of new voters coming out for Trump? Ridiculous comment.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Bernie is still well in the running.

Wow. Everyone (myself included) were saying he was -Done. Wow, check out Bernie.

If it weren't for blacks and their inexplainable support for Mrs. Bill Clinton, she'd be toast by now.

The Black voters are loyal, they vote this way every election. I don't know if they can explain "it" themselves. But ur right, she'd be toast.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Ignorant and uneducated people like Trump. It shows.

So you're insulting millions of people. Then how would you classify people that would consider voting for Sanders or Clinton, socially naive and gullible?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

The difference being that the person you hate is the most likely to be president a year from now.

I feel the opposite, I think the person you hate will be president, but if you think Hillary will make it, go right ahead. It doesn't matter anyway, you can't vote in the US, so it shouldn't concern you.

Although I'm still gunning for Bernie.

Well, it would take a miracle for him to win, but I keep forgetting, you liberals don't believe in miracles.

You were insulting them by calling them lunatics up to a few weeks ago.

I learned the error of my ways, people change, Trump can change, Hillary.....completely different story.

Which is the worst insult, ignorant/uneducated or insane? I'd probably go with insane.

I'd go with smart and calculated.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Go Hillary! The free shit army is behind you.........waiting in line for more free shit.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

As opposed to...? insults about ear and hand size, and about how much one sweats?

Yeah ,that was uncalled for, but it's Trump, what else would you expect? Obviously it hasn't hurt him that much in the polls.

A House AND Congress that has done more filibustering and blocking than ANY in the history of the nation-like people?

We never had a tyrant as stubborn and unwilling to work with a GOP congress unless everything goes his majesty's way.

The GOP and Republicans have NOTHING to offer the nation, and they have proven it with this election.

Wait a darn minute!!! What have the Democrats and Obama done that was so outstanding besides putting more people on government assistance and rack up the debt?

They are a JOKE (and let me save you the intro to your next response. Just cut and paste, "I know you are but what am I").

Ok, then we should agree that both parties are a joke, Obama is the biggest joke of a president in US history, surpassing Carter and I know he has a smile his face now, thinking, "can't touch this one"

Remember when you guys got massacred in 2012, said "never again" and that you were going to "change the party to appeal to more voters"? hahaha... Who would have thought what you guys meant was an actual change for the worse? Well... who but a Republican.

I agree and this Tyrant and Democratic minions are equally as inept as well as bungling circus dolts.

At least we both agree on something for once.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Her negatives are just as high as Trump's. It's up for grabs, neither candidate is particularly well liked by their establishment parties, so my bet is Hillary may be a worthy opponent

Good post bass4funk. AND that's the bottom line people!!

Like another poster once said; Trump is a buffoon. Wouldn't he be the ideal candidate to go go up vs Hillary? Why are the Dems so worried sick?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

A Democratic landslide.

Those are fightin' words in my country. Well hell, let's dance. Hillary or Donald, for better or worse. Let's make her (America) "whole" or "great" again. Everybody git ur popcorn ready. Da-da-dada, daah- I'm lovin' it!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

I was just saying what the reality is.

Yes, I understand you would like this to be the reality so you don't have to feel as bad that your party is a disaster that is imploding upon itself.

Strange, please for once just read what I wrote and just leave the personal attacks.

I haven't made any personal attacks.

the US election doesn't affect you in any way.

Sure it does, it will affect every person on this planet. And myself more than many, having family living in the US.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

No more crony capitalism, wars, central bank control, and useless politicians. Even the Japanese old boy network is getting scared of Trump.

Pretty much everyone that is tied to the establishment politics worldwide. To say that they are panicking is a gross understatement.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

I want to see Bernie on the ticket as VP. I like what he brings to the table in terms of bringing up issues facing the average American like healthcare costs, student debt, and the widening wealth gap.

But besides that, what else can he offer? Even if he were to win the presidency, there is no way congress would give him that much latitude to implement and create a giant, massive entitlement system, the same goes for Trump, congress would never deport 11 million illegals living in the States, if either side thinks these guys can fulfill these lackluster policies, boy, will they be disappointed.

And the lack of prosecutions in the financial sector. And the way he relates to young voters. And...

Ok, I'll meet you halfway on that point.

He's an incredible asset to the Democratic Party and he needs to stay in the spotlight.

Off to the side.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Once again we have Bass trying to pretend that the Democrats have a similar mess going on as the Republicans, so he doesn't have to feel as bad that his party is a disaster

Yes, in a way, they do. If Trump can get 20% of the liberal vote and getting more of the Union votes, there is without a doubt a lot of discontent with the Democrats. Is it as bad as the GOP, no, but shakeup in the establishment with Sanders awakening a segment of the population that does want more socialism and cradle to grave entitlements amd you are now seeing a slow, but definite fissure within the party, this is just the beginning.

But everyone outside the bubble knows that while things at the Democrats may be a little untidy, the Republicans have had a tsunami wipe them out, and haven't even bothered cleaning up.

The good thing about the conservatives despite the infighting, unlike the Democrats, the GOP doesn't tow the political line the same way the liberals do or being part of the collective.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

If it weren't for blacks and their inexplainable support for Mrs. Bill Clinton, she'd be toast by now. When they wake up and figure out that Bernie offers a better plate of freebies, she'll get flushed. . . .
