Unfortunately? Should more people have died? Who? How many?

Unfortunately for the "deadly riot" narrative, obviously. When 3000 armed police are not able prevent gaggle of unarmed protesters to enter a building, and the only person who get shot is one of the unarmed protesters, you know (or should know) that there is something fishy with your corporate media narrative.

Worse than a Mafia Don. Trump needs to spend the rest of his life behind bars with no golden toilet and a big cellmate that is democrat.

The more I hear about him the more disgusted I get. He truly is scum of the earth. Anyone that vote's for him as President in 2024, after his many crimes and four useless years already behind him as a failed President, should lose their citizenship and be extradited. Cut out the disease.

I like America but many of it's people are nuts. I worry for it's future and not due to outside concerns but due to internal sickness. Trump needs to retire and keep out of politics completely. The damage he has done, is doing and will do is immeasurable. God help America. it sure needs it.

The report sounds like something coming from out of China.

2 ( +11 / -9 )

LOL offering pardons for votes? So Trump.

Trump could have helped the rioters if he wanted to but doesn't see a need for them beyond lip service. Seems about right and I support this as more of his people will end up in jail because of it. And the best part is that Trunp won't miss a wink of sleep.

Love it. Let them pay.

For it to be safe enough politically for Trump to be able to publicly say this should concern Democrats. a lot.

only 1 in 6 Republicans say they will vote for a Republican who states Biden won the election fair and square. In fact, the "no excuse" mail in votes that allowed Biden to win in Pennsylvania, were judged as "unconstitutional" this week.

69% in a Monmouth poll said voter fraud is a problem, with 41% saying its a major problem.

Now Jan 6th narrative is falling apart on top of that?

Liberals have their "walls are closing in". I can replace that with "the tide is turning"

-29 ( +6 / -35 )

Biden should offer the same. Screw with their heads a bit. Their support for Trump shows their easily screwed with.

You mean the 500 police, right?

How do you know they were unarmed? No one was arrested on sight, but weeks or months later. Besides, apparently using a fire extinguisher, railing or objects lying around to beat security and police is considered armed. Who would of thought, huh?

Have they found the trump insurrectionist who planted pipe bombs around the capitol?

and the only person who get shot is one of the unarmed protesters,

Ashli Babbit? The lady with a violent past? Who was not following orders during her attempt to reach and take the members of Congress hostage to other throw the government?

Yeah, OK!

9 ( +16 / -7 )

Five people died during the insurrection, including a Capitol police officer: Brian Sicknick, Ashli Babbitt, Benjamin Phillips, Kevin Greeson, and Rosanne Boyland. There are also others whose later suicides may be attributed to the insurrection and those who continue to suffer debilitating psychological damage.

12 ( +18 / -6 )

So he is literally courting the violent criminal traitor vote now. Idiot.

11 ( +18 / -7 )

Well that's interesting...

First he urges all his supporters to take the hated vaccine - the one they think is poison....

Now he's going to pardon the throngs of FBI-trained Antifa and BLM that were carrying all those Trump banners and Confederate flags on Jan 6th...

Maybe tomorrow he'll say he's pro-choice and pro-gun control...

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Five people died during the insurrection,

nope, this has been debunked long ago.

Sicknick neither died that day, nor during the incident, nor from being struck with a fire extinguisher. he died of natural causes the following day.

-24 ( +2 / -26 )

Well I guess if you don't have a country anymore after his win you can say whatever you want. States can still prosecute. What Does he have? 20-30 cases pending?

The litigious liar should just be ignored and blanked out across all media everywhere all the time always saves everyone a headache

5 ( +12 / -7 )

Trump is a gangster.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

More fleecing of the flock - it's a wonder Trump supporters have any money left to give him, considering he's been conning them since 2016....

But the smoking gun has emerged this past week with the "fake electors" bombshell;

CNN reported last week that the scheme was overseen by Trump campaign officials, led by Giuliani. This wasn't something organic that just happened out of nowhere on the state level.

According to CNN's reporting, there were multiple planning calls between Trump campaign officials and GOP state operatives, and Giuliani participated in at least one call. The Trump campaign lined up supporters to fill elector slots, secured meeting rooms for the fake electors to meet on December 14, 2020, and circulated drafts of fake certificates that they later signed. The fake electors in these states were pawns in a bigger plan -- which Trump supported in public and private -- to overturn the results of the 2020 election and steal a second term. Their plan was to have then-Vice President Mike Pence throw out Biden's authentic electors and replace them with the GOP electors on January 6, while he presided over the joint session of Congress to count the electoral votes. Pence refused to go along with the plan, saying that it violated the Constitution.

Fraudulent electors and false certificates - there's going to be a whole bunch of people going to jail, including the guy leading the coup in the picture at the top of the article...

trump believes that he is going to win because he had the best numbers for any insurrection in US history even bigger than the American Revolution according to trump.

He would beat George Washington, today! LOL!

2 ( +9 / -7 )

When you nitpick the word “deadly” to defend Trump and what happened on Jan. 06 then you know you’re scraping at the bottom of the gene pool for supporters.

15 ( +18 / -3 )

It’s simply mere coincidence that the presumably fit and healthy 42-year-old

no more than a person takes a vaccine and dies the next day and you claim its not related, its just mere coincidence.

Natural causes means, natural causes. unrelated to anything external that may have happened.

Sicknick’s official cause of death was “acute brainstem and cerebellar infarcts due to acute basilar artery thrombosis.”

-23 ( +3 / -26 )

This man is an absolute disgrace to the Nation. If those charged for the Jan 6th insurrection are being treated "unfairly" then giving them pardons treats all the Trump supporters who did not participate in any criminal activity after the election "unfairly".

Trump needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent and banned from any political activity. His very existence is a threat to the nation. And any Republican politician, voter or supporter who can't see this is also a threat.

And this is coming from the man who has and continues to claim there was "voter fraud" in 2020 (and even 2016).

"Forms of electoral fraud, sometimes referred to as election manipulationvoter fraud or vote rigging, involves illegal interference with the process of an election, either by increasing the vote share of a favored candidate, depressing the vote share of rival candidates, or both. It differs from but often goes hand-in-hand with voter suppression. What exactly constitutes electoral fraud varies from country to country."

How about trading Presidential Pardons for votes?

The officer’s manner of death — the circumstances surrounding his passing — was determined to be “natural,” the office said. That term is used when a death is caused solely by a disease and is not hastened by an injury.

Still, Diaz told the newspaper that Sicknick’s autopsy found no evidence that the officer had an allergic reaction to the chemical irritants sprayed at him during the riot.

There you go, lets keep it truthful.

Trump will never see the Oval office again. America can not afford it.

But warning to all Blue and left.

Your next President will not be Joe Biden. Or Kamala Harries. Or a Democrat.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

American guys at the office say that Trump's support among Republicans is slipping, so this may be a way to get them back.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Unfortunately plenty of Americans think the election was rigged. 2024 will not be without controversy. The US democracy is still a work in progress but the basic foundation of it is the acknowledgment and validation of votes and election results.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Trump is basically saying if you commit a crime for him then you will be pardoned

4 ( +10 / -6 )

“If I run and if I win, we will treat those people from January 6th fairly," Trump said Saturday night during a rally in Conroe, Texas. "And if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons because they are being treated so unfairly.”

Donald Trump, could have consolidated, offered a more politically expedient view.

Trump could have been conciliatory, consolatory to reach across the political spectrum.

Donald Trump/Joe Biden casting 158.4 million votes, there has to be someone amongst the US population that could rise to the occasion.

Someone tell the traitors not to get their hopes up!

He’s not going to be president, but will be fun to see him lose again.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

The more reason not to vote for this racist loser.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

no thanks, I will take the guy who did the autopsy and the official results of that over an "expert on CNN" (of all places)

The guy???

You mean the doctor? An expert, trained in science and who publishes factual conclusions based on physical and clinical observation?

Trump is a gangster.

I think you're flattering him. But he is a con artist, and a really *good*** **one. You have to give him credit for that. In the world of the bottom-feeders, he really is top crustacean. If he's not a great con man, it would mean that 40% of American voters are cretins, and I don't think that's true.

Most of that 40% don't follow to what's going on closely enough, or through quality news sources. If you're a blue collar worker who lost his job in a "traditional" manufacturing job, and think that Trump honestly gives a flying whatever about that, or could do anything about it even if he cared enough to, you have NOT been paying enough attention.

The offer represents an attempt by Trump to further minimize the most significant attack on the seat of government since the War of 1812.

That this article includes such a statement tells us right away that this is a biased anti Trump article. I welcome the idea of treating those people fairly and exposing what really happened.

The party that chanted lock her up, now want due process.

Trump is under multiple state grand juries investigation and will be indicted within this calendar year Google Trump Grand Jury Investigation

9 ( +13 / -4 )

The man is spouting garbage as usual. He needs to worry about who will pardon him in 2025.

@Christopher J Thomas

Sadly, I agree. American democracy really is on its last legs. The smart money is on a successful campaign of lies, dirty tricks, fraud, voter suppression etc. in 2024 snuffing out the candle for a long time to come. Prepare for decades of autocratic rule by uptight, wealthy, elderly white men.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

He could have pardoned many of these people before he left office and he didn’t pardon 1 of them.

Oy vey, what a putz.

deadly Jan 6 storming

> Yeah, deadly. Unfortunately the only person who died was an unarmed female protester.

> Funny how the article mentions the "deadly" aspect, but then only talks about the injured police (not dead). So what makes it "deadly"

Ask the guards who were scared for their lives and could have died as a result of that mob's storming of the Capitol. Ashlii Babbitt was not some innocent 'protester.' She was a trespasser bent on committing subversion. She and that mob of thugs should not have been there and her own behavior is what cost her her life.
