As in: "APOLOGIZE! to ME, Dictator Trump, as I have just insulted the billion plus who peacefully follow Islam."

3 ( +11 / -8 )

He said: “You’re talking about people dying. You’re talking about making up tapes and videos which don’t exist.”

This is a little rich coming from the individual who continually perpetuates the myth that Muslims were dancing and singing on New York streets when the twin towers came down.... Donald seems to have a real issue with the notions of fact and fiction...

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Poor Donald. He can dish it out but he can't take it. What a coward -- just like most bullies.

11 ( +18 / -7 )

He's a spoiled class mother's boy accustomed to getting what he wants, and if he can't get it he throws a tantrum. What's frightening is so many are willing to think this belligerent man can lead a nation that has such a huge nuclear arsenal, especially given the international climate with Daesh, Russia and China challenging a fading US empire.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

There are a lot of TRUE progressives out there who dislike Hillary and call her a liar all the time. Why don't the news talk about them? This is just click bait for the Hillary zombies and JT knows a good bait when it sees it.

-9 ( +6 / -15 )

He should sue her. That's how he's "made" most of his money - litigation (particularly bankruptcy, leaving small contractors holding the bag).

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Still, Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon on MSNBC Monday insisted “hell no,” Clinton will not be apologizing to Donald Trump.

It's going to be interesting watching these two in the final debate. You know they got lots of tricks under their sleeves. Based on all the trump-bashing and watching the previous (R) debates, one thing is clear- trump knows how to push ones buttons alright.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

" You’re talking about making up tapes and videos which don’t exist.”

That is rich, coming from "I saw them dancing on 9/11" Donald Trump.

Nevertheless, its true. There are no tapes or videos. But is tv personality and rump of movement conservatism Donald Trump accurate when he calls Clinton a " liar"

No. Because Clinton said "He is becoming ISIS's best recruiter," she said. "They are going to people, showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists."

"..is becoming" "are going"

Social media sources do use Trump (see Factcheck) and almost certainly there will be Trump tapes and videos. So, Clinton's speculative language which sounds descriptive is weasly, but not, as Trump thinks, just "making it up."

See, that is the difference between a politician and a tv personality huckster posing as a fascist demagogue. Nuance and prevaction on the the one hand vs. blowhard lies. Like the Muslims were dancing in the streets in New Jersey. One is insinuation. The other hyperbole.

One based in objective reality, no matter how tweaked, and the other saying what ones wishes were true: an emotional truth.

One, democratic politics: sausage making compromised-filled mess which no one is ever really entirely happy with, and the other, fascism and totalitarianism, simplistic, brutal, murderous and spirit killing.

With all the cat-calling back & forth & no real meat on the plate it's no wonder the people of the U.S. will watch every moment of the "Pre-Game Show" but stay home come election day !

There's a smart one. 'Golly I'm a click bait, bad click bait, bad'

Why are Trump-luddites so angry? They keep demanding apology for their own ignorance?

NO! They must be trying to save Americans from themselves, voting against disgusting bigots and racists? Rage on little Quarterback, the end zone is in sight. Comical, callous, deranged. Trump-luddites, CHARGE!

or don't if you're gonna kill innocent people to prove how wise and smart you are, did someone do a pat-down on stupid? Lookit who keeps pop'in on the radar. Apologize this smart guy

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Trump wants an apology? That' a laugh. If Trump was my spoiled brat he'd be in timeout for eternity.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

That is rich, coming from "I saw them dancing on 9/11" Donald Trump.

Clinton is the one that has directly contradicted herself with those two statements: saying Trump is `ISIS best recruiter’, naturally meaning that ISIS are bad, and then saying last month at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York that Muslims “have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”.That’s the problem with chronic lying, as husband learned: you’ve always got to remember what you said the day before.

On top of now having to also dispute Retired Jersey City police captain Peter Gallagher who has come forward to confirm that he cleared a rooftop celebration of Muslims on the morning of 9/11. He and thousands of eyewitnesses.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Social media sources do use Trump (see Factcheck) and almost certainly there will be Trump tapes and videos.

ISIS is also very media savvy and they run their own magazine, website, and other propaganda to recruit discontent Muslims. Whenever a US politician or anyone makes comments like carpet bombing Muslims indiscriminately or killing entire families, ISIS quotes them because it supports their narrative that the West views them all the same and is out to destroy them.

How effective Trump is as a recruiting tool is debatable, but I have no doubt that ISIS is using him in their propaganda.

Incidentally, whenever countries accept moderate Muslims as refugees, it makes ISIS out to be liars. It's really a war of ideas. If we really want to stop radical Islam for good, that's where we have to win it. By winning over moderate Muslims.

LizzDec. 22, 2015 - 10:12AM JST : cleared a rooftop celebration of Muslims on the morning of 9/11

Ah, yeah. No known citation, no known reference, just 'me make so true, so true me make, now', hilarious.

Confirm, operative of the Trump-luddite, stand-by, transmission received, pursuit of liar in progress.

What an angry orange clown-luddite.

Get some facts. Post 'em, and forget the 'poor me' Trump wants you to follow.

What a joke for a clown. Keep posting! Truth out.

No, really, apologize to Trump, your right!

Clinton is the one that has directly contradicted herself with those two statements: saying Trump is `ISIS best recruiter’, naturally meaning that ISIS are bad, and then saying last month at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York that Muslims “have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”

This is not really a contradiction if you believe that not all Muslims are members of ISIS. It's an even bigger stretch to call it a lie.

I really don't think Hillary lies any more than your average politician, and Trump and Cruz definitely have her beat. It seems like a lot of people just dislike her on a personal level. I'm more concerned about her hawkishness and ties to Wall Street, both things she doesn't really make much effort to hide.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Lizz, I second what Mr. Bum said:

This is not really a contradiction if you believe that not all Muslims are members of ISIS. It's an even bigger stretch to call it a lie.

The problem Hilary rightly pointed out is people like you and Trump can't realise the difference between a group associated with a religion, and the ACTUAL religon

Like is often said, every time a white Christain male shoots up a church or clinic, no one says' that proves Christians are bad' stop with the double standard ignorance.

Of course, people convinced they are right have trouble with this simple logic. It shows the racism that is alive and well in our country. Sad.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

oh the ironic fragility of bullies

Edit: I should've said 'bigotry'

Clinton said that Trump had become the Islamic State’s “best recruiter” and that “they are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”

As much as I despise Trump, Clinton's knee-jerk and unsubstantiated assertion against him was just plain irresponsible and counterproductive. If what she said is true, then she needs to come up with some sort of proof of these tapes.

This certainly undermines Clinton's credibility, and making spurious claims just because it fits her narrative makes her seem no better than Trump and his ongoing bald-faced lies, like his insistence that he saw footage of thousands of Muslims in New Jersey cheering as the Twin Towers collapsed during 9/11.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

If Clinton continues along this path she'll start dominating the GOP candidates.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I'm not American, but I thought everybody was talking about Disney's Donald Duck. I thought Americans could only choose between the bush or Clinton dynasty, but Obama proved me wrong.

This is an example of the unfair hate Hillary seems to get that I mentioned earlier.

Look up the ISIS propaganda magazine called Dabiq. There's a regular section called "In the words of the enemy" where they directly quote prominent US politicians among their other enemies. ISIS is also very media savvy, utilizing social media and uploading propaganda videos on the Internet.

She might not have actually seen a video featuring Trump, but knowing the above, it's completely logical to assume that one exists. I have no doubt one exists somewhere, because why wouldn't they use his quotes when they've quoted others? His words and rhetoric play right into their narrative of America viewing all Muslims as the same enemy that must be destroyed.

This is what they tell the impoverished and discontent Muslims they're trying to recruit, and people like Trump give their words some credence. Talk about irresponsible and counterproductive.

Trump demands apology from Clinton on debate remarks

...and when she tells him to go pound sand, he'll file a lawsuit. So predictable, so pathetic.

There are a lot of TRUE progressives out there who dislike Hillary and call her a liar all the time.

I guess that means that any progressives who don't dislike Clinton or don't "call her a liar all the time" are FALSE progressives? Who died and made you the guardian of definitions?

If what she said is true, then she needs to come up with some sort of proof of these tapes.

Tapes? WHAT tapes?! Tapes are 20th century. She said "video". The recruiters are just showing prospective recruits the multitude of YouTube videos of Trump blaming every terrorist attack on Muslims in general. ("tapes"... LOL!)

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The only politician I have seen in an ISIS propaganda recruitment film is Bill Clinton who is disparagingly referred to as a “fornicator” based on his extramarital affairs and support for the marriage rights of American homosexuals.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

On top of now having to also dispute Retired Jersey City police captain Peter Gallagher who has come forward to confirm that he cleared a rooftop celebration of Muslims on the morning of 9/11. He and thousands of eyewitnesses.

it's strange to me that you'd defend Trump on this issue. Even you know he made a bogus statement.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump wins!!! Politifact has awarded him 'The Lie of the Year'.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2015/dec/21/2015-lie-year-donald-trump-campaign-misstatements/

What does that say about his followers? Maybe they should read up on Goebbels?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The only politician I have seen in an ISIS propaganda recruitment film is Bill Clinton who is disparagingly referred to as a “fornicator” based on his extramarital affairs and support for the marriage rights of American homosexuals.

Trump, on the other hand (and despite on numerous occasions saying how he would totally do his daughter but for consanguinity), is the paragon of family values and Christianity. His goodness is palpable.

If you're implying that equal rights for homosexuals is a bad thing, you have something in common with ISIS. Well done. America is absolutely in the right on this issue. If they use it against us, so be it.

After doing their research, the media (especially the right) is focusing on Bill because it was Hillary that made the comment, but they point out that numerous US politicians and corporations are also mentioned in ISIS propaganda, Obama apparently being featured the most. To be honest, he is the current US leader in a long line that continues to interfere and start wars where they live, resulting in the loss of countless civilian lives. If you ask me, that's the biggest recruitment tool ISIS and groups like them have in their box.

He said: “You’re talking about people dying. You’re talking about making up tapes and videos which don’t exist.”

You'd no a thing or two about lies, wouldn't you, Mr. Chump.

"There are parts of London so islamified, that the police fear for their lives, and daren't go in" .... Or some such drivel.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

they are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump> is the statement in question. Not that they CAN or WILL or that it is POSSIBLE, but that specific videoS are being shown to people. For that to happen, these videos must exist now. If the statement was that ISIS CAN use his statements to make videos, that is correct. But that is not what was said.

Everything else unrelated to that statement, other lies, other issues are not relevant. Which video is it, who has it and where can I see it? if you cant answer that her statement is NOT true. Which someone people will then argue is not a "lie". But by not being true, by default it is false, which is generally called by non liars- a "lie".

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Hey Trump you LOSER!

Nice to see a dopey bully get a taste of his own medicine.

Especially a bully who raped his ex-wife and then paid her off.

There's more than likely a shred of truth in that so I'm just going to pass it off as fact from now on.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Well, if you care to think about the GRAMMAR of the sentence, it is future tense. She did not say they HAVE been used. Anyway, if you want to call someone a liar, please see fact checks on Donald Trump.

For the record, I can't stand Hilary, but she is very accurate to understand that these kind of statements are certain to be used as propaganda. Just as, this week, a Donald supporter was caught making bombs getting ready to 'kill muslims'

2 ( +2 / -0 )

sorry but as far as I have learned, grammatically this is incorrect. For this to be a future statement it would have to say going to GO, going to SEE, going to DO- that is future. The action they are going to do in the future is missing. The statement "going to people" means right now, the action is ongoing now. "They are going to people" means some people have already been "gone to" or else it would be said as GOING TO GO (future) to people.

But more importantly for me, I dont get all the word play. Trump says people celebrating and no evidence=lying. But Clinton says something else also with no evidence and people says "well probably/maybe/almost certainly could happen" so it isn't a lie? People here don't think that probably or maybe some Muslims were celebrating 9-11 in New Jersey? Several sources have said they have seen it (but it wasn't thousands more like 10 or 20).

To me you shouldn't be allowed to say anything that you expect to be taken as truth without any proof. I just see Clinton careless saying things that she knows cant be unproven (you cant prove there is NOT a video SOMEwhere in the world- probably is). But you also cant prove that a Muslim SOMEwhere in New Jersey didnt celebrate- probably did.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Sorry, she used present. (I thought she said 'going to use', I think I read another poster's comment) but I still think her speech could be considered figuratively, and is fairly accurate to describe how people in the spotlight need to be careful about their hateful words. (again, hate Hilary, but am very worried about our presidential candidates causing more hate, they need to know their words have consequences, and HIlary's words are a very likely scenario)

Trumps 'I saw Muslims cheer' is a flat out lie.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Based on all the trump-bashing and watching the previous (R) debates, one thing is clear- trump knows how to push ones buttons alright.

Who's the one demanding the apology? That's generally what people do when they can't handle their buttons being pressed.

"Clinton said that Trump had become the Islamic State’s “best recruiter” and that “they are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”

"There was no evidence to back the claim"

What's up with that?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

"Clinton said that Trump had become the Islamic State’s “best recruiter” and that “they are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”

Evidence or not, it kind of makes sense that they would do that, doesn't it? Every one of his appearances is a ready-made ISIS propaganda video.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Not defending Trump's statements, the man does talk a lot when the day is long, nothing new.

Especially a bully who raped his ex-wife and then paid her off.

There's more than likely a shred of truth in that so I'm just going to pass it off as fact from now on.

Oh, here we go assuming things once again.

What about when Obama vows to destroy ISIS? Isn't that ready-made ISIS propaganda? lol

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Oh oh I have heard there is someone in the new ISIS video. It's not Trump but a Clinton. Looks like Hillary got "schlonged" again.
