All on this site who support Trump and have criticizes Obama for his golfing: discredited. (You'll undoubtedly contort reality enough to come up with an excuse sufficient for your twisted minds, though. I look forward the excuses from the usual apologists below.)

I don't begrudge Obama for playing golf, I just couldn't understand why he would play it during the worst of situations. They all need time to themselves, I get it, most of us do, but when someone is getting their head sawed off and you are golfing, the optics of that is just wrong and this is not a partisan issue.

“Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!”

Eh? This is one weird puppy.

It's not an excuse- the obvious response it that he's President-elect, not President. And Bush got criticized a ton for staying at his ranch, so the nitpicking over how Presidents spend their time is bipartisan.

@Northernlife

More like the media's arrogance. 'Protective' press pool is nonsense. If the President wants to deliver an urgent message he doesn't need physical reporters next to him. What a ridiculously antiquated idea.

@Laguna: All on this site who support Trump and have criticizes Obama for his golfing: discredited

That's not how the partisan game is played. All that needs to be said is, 'Obama golfed every other day, so Trump can too.' Then you protest at the hypocrisy ignoring the numerous times when those protesting Obama's shortcomings justified them by claiming that GW Bush did the same thing when he was president. This game gets played back and forth until we notice that a squirrel has been posted as the picture of the day and we all move on to something else.

Meanwhile Trump continues to mock the far Left mainstream press and all of his voters - and a bunch of non-Trump voters that detest the dysfunctional American press - laugh and enjoy the sweet comeuppance.

2017 is going to be a lot of fun.

What a disgusting display of petty, juvenile self-aggrandizement. In many ways, that tweet is the most revealing and repellent utterance from his vile mouth yet. If this is what we can expect, expect the worst for 2017.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Wolf, I agree - 2017 is going to be hilarious in many ways. I'm glad I'm watching America from afar. Someone once said, "Golf is a nice walk wasted," and I agree - I've never understood the connection between the presidency and golf. Perhaps that is why I am not president - but at least Obama also had basketball.

BTW, I didn't bring up GWB in my above post, but since you did, here's a reminder of that "Now, watch my drive" moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCm9788Tb5g

CrazyJoe: In many ways, that tweet is the most revealing and repellent utterance from his vile mouth yet.

It seems you're confused on where tweets come from ...

What a child, and a pathetic one to boot. I love how his team have to apologize for him constantly already, though.

AP: ... The practice is meant to ensure that journalists are on hand to witness, on behalf of the public, the activities of the president or president-elect, rather than relying on secondhand accounts. ... The White House also depends on having journalists nearby at all times to relay the president’s first comments on breaking news. ...

That's right, a team of journalists is needed to rush into phone booths and make frantic calls to their editors, who relay the information to teletype operators standing by to broadcast it to the nation's news outlets, all, to a man (repeat, 'MAN'), sporting cigarettes hanging from one corner of their mouths, reporters identified by panama hats with press cards in the bands, editors by green plastic visors and black armbands to keep their sleeves out of the ink when they go to review and edit the printing plates.

Let's start the category with Breitbart. How about TBM?

NERBM - Not Even Remotely Balanced Media

including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!” seriously what kind of adolescent gloats over a victory (insults) and send well wishes in the same sentence. Bit like a rapists sending well wishes to his victim. Trump seriously doesn't have the mental fortitude to be POTUS. Lets see him try this crap on Putin. LOL

@PT Simpleton

Do you have a catchy label like MSM yet for the emerging media force comprised of the Putin conglomerate (ITAR-TASS, RT, etc.), the R. Murdoch media empire, plus S. Bannon (Trump's media manipulator and truth distorter), beyond alt right? I think you might bristle (for good reason) when it's called WNM (White Nationalist Media), but do you have another name for it?

Fake news

I dare you to go through my history and show where I've linked any of the websites you've mentioned.

@FizzB show where I've linked any of the websites you've mentioned.

You usually just lift ideas from one of the above mentioned alt right sites (it's a plot I tell ya), or perhaps you're still getting the messages through your fillings. But maybe as a medical techie you're able to get meds that give you your inbredsights.

Before he went golfing Saturday, Trump tweeted an unusual New Year’s message to friends and foes: “Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!”

Forget whether this is presidential, forget whether this is diplomatic. This is not normal. The President governs the entire United States, not just the parts that voted for him. You cannot reconcile with your opponents by rubbing their noses in your victory.

Even worse, we should all be alarmed he's framed all political opposition to him as being an "enemy". What's going to happen when we have someone so narcissitically thin-skinned that he can't tell the difference between principled disagreement and being an enemy who gets control of the drone strike list?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

@Laguna:BTW, I didn't bring up GWB in my above post, but since you did, here's a reminder of that "Now, watch my drive"

Yep - exactly what I'm talking about. Watch the same thing happen again to Trump but with the predictable partisan shift in who is doing the complaining. All of the game playing is a good reason for making people less dependent on government. It lessens the incentive to be a hypocrite while screwing on a straight face.

Wow! You guys are already starting this junk. Keep trying, I think even you guys will get a laugh out of this nonesense garbage. 2017 just started. Lol

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

I agree with you Joe, this message shows what a child he really is - he's holding grudges with the peolple who went against him - you'll see ZERO bipartisanship from Trump.

Having said that, I think he's entitled to do what he likes in his private time until January 20th 2017.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

@FizzBats You obviously have a very narrow understanding of where people opposed to your way of "thinking" get their news.

I and at least half a dozen others have asked where you and other reactionary rightists get your 'news', but to date I've not seen a direct answer, except one rightist poster who said he got his from a variety of sources. But then I and many others use multiple sources, too.

Rightists who say those who disagree with them are 'tools of the MSM' come across as people incapable of coming up with reasonable responses. They tend to resort to schoolyard name calling and saying whataboutX and I know you are but what am I. LMAO

The point that's been made many times on this site is that ALL news from ALL sources needs to be questioned and checked. Rightwingers continually saying anything printed or broadcast which differs from their perspective is biased show - to me - they're personally incapable of thinking independently and critically. They've reduced the world to us - them terms. Simpletons do that.

Fake news

That's the Republicans and their sheep's strategy: When the facts hurt, just claim that it's all fake and fabricated.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

I know these media have had a profound influence on dozens of millions of your like-thinkers. You're still a minority in the US (assuming you're US Americans)

So you're including illegals as well?

but there's enough of y'all to be considered pretty durn close to mainstream. Don't you think? So would you call these media mainstream now?

Oh, right up my ally! I'll answer it for you like this, with the exception of FOX reaching both conservatives and liberals(remember Obama was always complaining and blaiming them for Trump's win and influence to turn against him, whatever that means...) Rush Limbaugh reaching predominantly primarily older conservatives, the rest less and some having viewers hanging on the fringe. As big as the first two are, liberals still have conservatives beat and are more far-reaching when it comes to spreading their message, most of the print media, NYT, L.A.Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune etc. and TV: PBS, MSNBC, CNN (they tried for a long time to be in the middle, but couldn't resist with Trump) most of Hollywood, most of the music industry, the climate change, Al Gore, science people, the environmentalists and add them all together, you have a MSM majority. And guess what? Trump still won. 20 more days to go!

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Back in 1970s, Richard Nixon was very shy with media. Unlike Nixon, Trump who has been TV star is not shy.. He hates media including SNL. If Trump is keep boycotting media, unemployment rate in MSM will be sky rocketed. No President wants high unemployment rate.

As a President, Trump needs to inform where is he? What is he doing for sake of nation. It is unfair for Trump who will be POTUS is treating media as poisonaous spiders. Media is friends. Not his enemies!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It's all just like a really bad Hollywood movie.

Applying a golf sensibility to running the government. What a handicap. And the whole country is his caddy. You got anything in that bag to smooth out the rough spots? No, I don't need a glass.

bass4funk: "Wow! You guys are already starting this junk."

Meanwhile, Trump's former campaign manager turned West-wing behind licker is STILL threatening to reopen the Clinton email scandal for the bizillionth time if people talk about links to Russia. Dude, face it, all Clinton did was use her work computer to send some emails, and you guys went on about it for YEARS even after you YOURSELVES found her innocent seven times and millions later. Trump may have actually committed treason on top of lying and allowing Russian access to the US government, not to mention how much vested interest he has in that nation. Just remember not to chant "let it go!" so soon in 2017 after you guys stayed on Benghazi for... how long? Oh wait, you're STILL on about it! Remember, you yourself called the man a lunatic.

Let's start a pool about how long before Trump is impeached.

Personally, I think she should go to jail and I hope Trump appoints a special prosecutor to the case and do a thorough investigation and let the chips fall where they may.

Dude, face it, all Clinton did was use her work computer to send some emails, and you guys went on about it for YEARS even after you YOURSELVES found her innocent seven times and millions later.

Is that what liberals are trying to convince themselves of this time around? I'll say this, it's very creative.

Trump may have actually committed treason on top of lying and allowing Russian access to the US government, not to mention how much vested interest he has in that nation.

One thing I love about liberals is their tenacity. You guys try so, so very hard.

Just remember not to chant "let it go!" so soon in 2017 after you guys stayed on Benghazi for... how long? Oh wait, you're STILL on about it! Remember, you yourself called the man a lunatic.

At one time, I called Justin Bieber a good singer. Come on now....

Let's start a pool about how long before Trump is impeached.

What like when you guys wanted to bet that Trump was NEVER going to be president and swearing up and down it will never happen? Now you want to start that nonsense again?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Yes, someone who isn't even in office yet should be impeached for playing golf. Without a doubt, a spectacular collection of brilliant ideas here.

bass4funk: "Personally, I think she should go to jail and I hope Trump appoints a special prosecutor to the case and do a thorough investigation and let the chips fall where they may."

Hahaha... Knew you'd fall into that one! You STILL can't let that go despite your own people finding her innocent more than a few times. Like I said, remember that, bud, because you're already complaining about 'tenacity' and what not and Trump hasn't even started and has done FAR worse than send private emails on a 'company' computer (and be found innocent).

"At one time, I called Justin Bieber a good singer."

That's your defense?

qwertyjapan: "Yes, someone who isn't even in office yet should be impeached for playing golf. "

Who said for playing golf? You deflect on this topic too, I see.

"Trump ditches media for golf game"

Good call!

"Trump is such a full-on donkey with no class that his supporters must be of the same ilk."

Yeah, approxmately half the country are a bunch of irredemable deplorables, lol.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

the GOP in step will take care of business. yep spend big on the military sending America trillions of more into debt!, Nothing like another Republican started war to get the military industry pumping again. itll probably be the democrats left trying and clean up the god-awful mess again!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Hahaha... Knew you'd fall into that one! You STILL can't let that go despite your own people finding her innocent more than a few times.

Can you let Trump's taxes go? NO, right? So I have No idea what you're going on about? Also, Comey NEVER said, she is innocent. Don't get it twisted, just because he didn't find her guilty doesn't mean she's innocent.

Like I said, remember that, bud, because you're already complaining about 'tenacity' and what not and Trump hasn't even started and has done FAR worse than send private emails on a 'company' computer (and be found innocent).

But he wasn't a politician at the time, he was a private citizen, big difference. One served the public, tax payer money (Hillary) and the other a private citizen, private money (Trump)

That's your defense?

I admit, I fell for the voice.

Who said for playing golf? You deflect on this topic too, I see.

I don't do that and yes, for playing golf.
