The media, as well as politicians in general, have been far more "downplaying" and "silent" regarding the slaughter of African Christians ... than Trump has been regarding violence by white supremacists.

British Labour MP Criticises Mainstream Media Ignoring Slaughter of Christians in Africa

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/03/18/british-lawmaker-criticises-mainstream-media-ignoring-slaughter-christians-africa/?fbclid=IwAR32SQq7N8kpNgQ3xJKPx07I9pFP0vc-c76rVbqYO72taDRQpWRONsBdSXM

@strangerland, so far in 2019, there have been 453 islamic terror attacks in which 1956 people have been murdered.

4305 Christians were murdered by Islamic extremists because of their faith in 2018 alone.

you mght want to "google" harder.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Jenni,

Exactly right.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trump is quite correct.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

stop saying that Trump is downplaying anything.

Wait, so you came here to defend Trump not saying anything, by complaining about the left not saying anything?

Umm... surely you can see the flaw in that logic.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

But the Left will not talk about them.

I'm left. I'll talk about them.

Seems there are some holes in your theory.

I'd bet other leftists on this site are willing to talk about them as well.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

The shooter in New Zealand is about as evil as they come. (And Trump did say so.)

And the militant Muslims who just massacred 69 Christians in Nigeria last week (which is not even close to the first such attack)?

They are no better. But the Left will not talk about them.

So, please -- stop saying that Trump is downplaying anything. It's the Left and the mainstream media who constantly and repeatedly ignore the many, many, many acts of mass murder against Christians around the world. (Most of which are carried out by Muslim extremists.)

THAT is what is constantly downplayed. In fact, it's not just downplayed -- it's typically ignored and buried.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

This is what we have come to expect from this President. It is very sad.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I believe the children of a future, not a chiildish Trump saying anything without heart, He is the one to symbolize white nationalism. Wait a minute! Adults can't be childish like him.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

The racist white-supremacist who pulled the trigger and massacred 49 innocent people called himself a Trump-supporter. And that really says it all ...

No. It says almost nothing.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Muslim radicals kill Christians around the world with alarming frequency -- and it is routinely downplayed (if not outright ignored) by the media.

I just googled this. Doesn’t seem to be any reality behind the claim.

Fake news. Conspiracy theory.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

There is the good and the bad in all cultures, that is seen through since ancient times, even here..

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Muslim radicals kill Christians around the world with alarming frequency -- and it is routinely downplayed (if not outright ignored) by the media.

Perhaps it does not seem particularly newsworthy to the news outlets because it happens so often. It is almost of a ho-hum, what-else-is-new thing.

Muslims being killed, on the other hand, is more newsworthy -- one reason, perhaps, is that it is so rare.

Muslim radicals massacring Christians is like a "dog bites man" story. Muslims being massacred, as so horribly occurred in New Zealand, is a "man bites dog" story.

I wish these massacres were all treated as the despicable crimes they are -- instead, they are either given great media weight or little to none, depending on who the victims are.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

The most worrying thing about this topic is how it polarises everyone. Unhealthy and dangerous. The fact that this is on the increase since Trump came to power might give you a clue. As a well travelled non-American I can assure you that the general feeling worldwide is that Trump is a white nationalist.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

"I think it's a small group of people that have very, very serious problems, I guess," Trump said.

That'll be bad for his re-election prospects, then. I understand now his remark about not losing support even if he shot someone in the street - he clearly knows his base well.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

black women living under your roof.

Please be more specific.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"Trump downplays white nationalism threat"

He WOULD downplay it -- he is one of its participants!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Isn’t in amazing how...

Trump people can support a right winger (Milo) who promotes sex with children

Farrakhan and a black nationalist preacher who....

When the body count from black mass shooters matches that of white Supremacist evangelical Trump mass shooters please wake me up.

people are actually saying...

Yes, crazy that Milo is actually saying it is OK to have sex with Children. At least blacks are not listening to Farrakhan and shooting up a bunch of white churches in Alabama and also Farrakhan is not suggesting having sex with children like Milo is. I never listen to Farrakhan or know of any real effect from what he says. But we know this mass NZ shooter was listing to Trump. Proof:

Brenton Tarrant: Christchurch shootings suspect said Trump is 'symbol of white supremacy'

(News Source)

And we see the real damaging result. Are there any mass shootings from Farrakhan? Also, does Farrakhan promote sex with children like Milo Yiannopoulos does?

Therefore since we know Obama hung out with Farrakhan...

And Trump hung out with Russian hookers and got peed on. I could care less. If blacks start mass shooting white churches as a result then it will have my attention.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

It does not matter what President Trump says or does it will never be enough for the left.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Trump downplays white nationalism.

Democrats downplay Islamic extremism/terrorism, anti-Semitism in their party, and promote explicitly race based public policy.

So now what? How about we all promote individual rights over group based grievances that further poison social relations.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The guy was from Australia, not America. Do the American media think Australians follow their president?

They actually do. Most Americans think of the world as a bunch of suburbs that rotate around the USA.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

And for at least the tenth time, Trumpers can offer no plausible explanation for all the lying - except they're trying to hide collusion...

And What’s the Democrats excuse? Why would they hold a former Grand Wizard dear to their hearts, why aren’t they condemning Omar in the strongest terms? Why do they allow Virginia to keep these racists politicians in office?

Those all left for the Repubs 60 years ago - they're all MAGA-wearing Trumpers now...

Don't you believe David Duke?

Hmmmm, they keep hoping that people believe that. They never left their roots, ever and last week was another testament to that.

The Democrats hero

"We are there to support and stand with the people of New Zealand."

Trump himself telephoned New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, offering condolences, prayers and any help the U.S. might be able to provide.

You'd wonder what the American president could possibly say that would appease the unhinged and still give comfort to the Kiwis.

Fortunately, he couldn't care less about appeasing anyone and is focused on the security and well-being of the American people.

America to New Zealand: We are with you and we offer our condolences and prayers.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

very fine people

And in what context? You are just believing what you want to believe.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Then once again, you tell me why 7 of Trump's closest associates met with Russians and lied about it?

Not sure, why did Adam Spliff call a Russian...or so he thought that had potential pertinent information on Trump? Not only did he collude, but he got pranked.

And for at least the tenth time, Trumpers can offer no plausible explanation for all the lying - except they're trying to hide collusion...

Neo Nazis and White Supremacists - "good people, on both sides"... No Democrat said that -

No, but they don’t need to since they have more than enough within their rank and file.

Those all left for the Repubs 60 years ago - they're all MAGA-wearing Trumpers now...

That’s no proof of anything

Yes, it is, he is a Trump Worshiper. Proof:

Brenton Tarrant: Christchurch shootings suspect said Trump is 'symbol of white supremacy'

(News Source)

You got proof he said that?

Yes,

very fine people

(Trump referring to the marchers carrying tiki torches. in Charlottesville)

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Proof

Brenton Tarrant: Christchurch shootings suspect said Trump is 'symbol of white supremacy'

That’s no proof of anything. It turns out that David Duke supports Rep. Ilhan Omar‘s views about Jews. Does that imply she agrees with him? Proof?

https://www.google.com/amp/amp.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/mar/7/david-duke-praises-rep-ilhan-omar/

...were Trump said the white supremacists are great people.

You got proof he said that? He said there were good people on both sides of the statue debate. In no manner has he ever endorsed the racist ideology the Left so much wants to believe that he does.

@toastedheretic

Mar. 16  08:16 pm JST

Perhaps the proponents of white nationalism should stop exporting the hatred. Bannon in Europe, amongst others

Terrorism is an ideology that knows no international boundaries.

Of course, but does this narrative not help the export of such an ideology?

It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

Just look at the headline

Trump downplays white nationalism threat after NZ mosque massacre

It makes the assumption there is such a threat even in NZ. Now people might believe it, and white nationalism gain traction as an ideology.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Yes, his supporters think white supremacists are good people.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Like so many other issues, President Trump is correct on this too.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

in the aftermath of Charlottesville.....

...were Trump said the white supremacists are great people.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

However the current atmosphere of anti-White male hatred from the global Left

WRONG

Proof

Brenton Tarrant: Christchurch shootings suspect said Trump is 'symbol of white supremacy'

(News Source)

No. Trump just didn’t...

Actually, this is what Trump is encouraging:

I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.

(Trump quote)

Trump doesn't want to leave the WH if he is defeated, and he will call on his supporters to go to war to protect Trump's rule.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Trump downplays white nationalism threat after NZ mosque massacre

No. Trump just didn’t take a single event and turn it into a global movement of Hitler-like proportions in the way the press want to make it out to be. That isn’t to say it isn’t an evil ideology- as he has stated. Just as in the aftermath of Charlottesville, the press are intent on taking Trumps words and twisting them to their already preconceived notions about conservatives in general- they are gaslighting is again.

However the current atmosphere of anti-White male hatred from the global Left does risk encouraging more of these lone wolf or localized outbursts from deranged individuals. There is no global White nationalist jihadi’s like there is in the case of Islamic extremism- not yet at least. Saying that there is does serve the Left politically.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

the liberal media is trying to push on you

Again....

Brenton Tarrant: Christchurch shootings suspect said Trump is 'symbol of white supremacy'

(News Source)

He said it, even Hannity confirms

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Everyone knows Trump supports white nationalists. And they love him

Super, had no idea you know the President personally.

*Benedict Dotard's sympathy is a lie! He encourages acts like this - *he is not to be believed or trusted.

Oh, stop...lol! Despite what the liberal media is trying to push on you, the immigration issue has been a hot issue loooong before Trump ever came into politics, I know it makes for good fodder, but the only person responsible for this outrageous crime is the person that shot up these people, Trump had zero to do with it, more influenced anyone to take this action and the shooter himself said, he saw wha was going on in France and that was the catalyst for him doing what he did. Also, the guy said, in one interview that he hated Trump, so there goes that narrative down the toilet. No one exploits the race card more than liberals and it’s really a low and dirty thing to constantly do.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

He's trying to wash the blood clean off his hands. He promotes hatred, he talks hatred, he promotes violence and now he's playing 'Little Miss Innocent'. No dice.

the Biblical book of Proverbs mentions about the jerk who shoots flaming arrows and then says 'I was only joking'. Just like listeners of Rubbish Limberger's hate radio program say it's 'only entertainment'. Is violence, death and hatred entertainment? I don't think so!

Benedict Dotard's sympathy is a lie! He encourages acts like this - he is not to be believed or trusted.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Everyone knows Trump supports white nationalists. And they love him.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Trump just made that dude shoot all those people

YES! PROOF:

Brenton Tarrant: Christchurch shootings suspect said Trump is 'symbol of white supremacy'

(News Source)

Go Trump! Orange Power all the way.

Alternative facts are not facts, bass. FOX, and you know this first hand, if we are to believe you, is full of nothing but bigots and complete liars --

Not true at all, just because liberals don’t like be challenged doesn’t make you a racist. It’s funny how FNC will ask liberals to come on and debate them and most won’t, some will and I deeply respect those liberals that can make a persuadable argument, but the vast majority do not. But yeah, it’s easier to go on a liberal network, allow the pundits to let you go on a diatribe and bloviate the entire segment and never challenge you. So it’s easier to call FNC, bigot or racist...lol.

the last week has more than proven that in particular, especially now that the racist and misogynist Tucker's advertisers are fleeing the sinking ship.

And there will be others that will gladly take their place, this is another reason why I love capitalism so much. Their loss, his gain.

It's gotten so bad even the leadership there can't take it anymore, with them calling out Janine Pirroh, or however you spell it. Like I said, though, you guys believe Trump and so will believe ANYTHING.

What?

https://twitter.com/TVNewsHQ/status/1105950314308481026?s=20

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

The shooter also mentioned PewDiePie, so what?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

There is no such thing as ''White identity'', if there was England would not have left the EU because of ''European migrants'', and you wouldn't have seen ''Leave the EU, no more Polish Vermin'' posters everywhere in London. Every nation has their own national identity. And what does Trump has to do with this? The guy was from Australia, not America. Do the American media think Australians follow their president? Do they think Trump is the president of White people?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

I hate to break it to you all, but not everything is about Donald Trump.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Actually Trump just made that dude shoot all those people without leaving the country. He used his racist ESP. The bigotry is so strong he can actually control people's thoughts all the way on the other side of the planet.

Trump is the president of the most powerful country in the world. He doesn’t need to use ESP. His example is important.

Are you going to be the first Trump supporter on this thread to offer an opinion on Trump retweeting dodgy videos from a racist group showing Muslims in a bad light?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

"Were/are you a supporter of Donald Trump?" was one of the questions he posed to himself. His answer: "As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure.

Actually Trump just made that dude shoot all those people without leaving the country. He used his racist ESP. The bigotry is so strong he can actually control people's thoughts all the way on the other side of the planet.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

The racist white-supremacist who pulled the trigger and massacred 49 innocent people called himself a Trump-supporter. And that really says it all ( Trump is a racist white supremacist )

Yah, that really says it all, lol. Following that logic, CrazyJoe, if he called himself a Joe Biden supporter that would mean Biden must be a racist white supremacist. And I guess he wasn't much of a Trump supporter being as how said "As a policy maker and leader? Dear god no."

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

"Were/are you a supporter of Donald Trump?" was one of the questions he posed to himself. His answer: "As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure...."

Wrong. Trump is a symbol of renewed hope for people of all races.

"... As a policy maker and leader? Dear god no."

Not surprisingly he's wrong on that too.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

He banned Muslims from coming to America -- comment

FYI: Muslims from Indonesia, a country that is home to 600 million followers of Islam, are still allowed into our country.

FYI: it didn't include the UAE or Turkey either - because Trump has business deals with all three...

National security always comes in second to his business interests...

3 ( +4 / -1 )

With a lot of help from Putin...

So the liberal narrative goes. Which has as much validity as Obama was born in Kenya, but yeah, maybe Adam Spliff might find the truth, it’s out there. ROFL!

Then once again, you tell me why 7 of Trump's closest associates met with Russians and lied about it? Why he says he has ZERO business with Russian and his sons say they get all their money from Russia? Why he lied three times about the meeting with Russians at Trump Tower? Come one - tell us why everyone is lying?

Especially those he's complicit it in - wonder if the shooter was one of the "good people on both sides..."

There are good Democrats, I truly believe that.

Neo Nazis and White Supremacists - "good people, on both sides"... No Democrat said that - I wonder if the KKK are going to change from white to orange sheets....

Perhaps the proponents of white nationalism should stop exporting the hatred. Bannon in Europe, amongst others

Had no idea Bannon was a racist. Europe has a lot of prominent right-wingers, they should look to them and condemn them first since they hold more sway over everyone else. America is the so called “great Satan” so they couldn’t be bothered by us.

The Hate Trump disciples won't take the time to do a little research to discover the false Charlottesville narrative that is apparently still being spewed my the Media Industrial Complex. It's much more easier for them to simply nod in bovine agreement.

Dang right - that 32 year old woman who was run over and murdered - it was all her fault. She shouldn't have turned her back on a MAGA-hat wearing patriot that was driving his Challenger 60 mph into a crowd of people. Heck, she could'a jumped out of the way...

So he's a avowed white supremacist who admires Hitler - who according to acquaintances, "filled his time" playing video games and working at a local grocery store. Or in other words, a typical Trump supporter.

This narrative that the MSM pushes, it's all just fake news...

3 ( +6 / -3 )

So this article is trying to connect Trump and white nationalism and New Zealand. Well done.

Just keep it to the USA ok?

The current occupant of the White House in Washington, DC is, either naive or quite uninformed.

He is neither one.

He continues to spread fake news, disinformation and misinformation,

You're confusing him with the media.

and is the main threat to U.S. national security and worldwide wellbeing.

You're confusing him with the Democrats and the RINOS.

You must have missed his response to the "Grab 'em by the pussy" tape. He admitted he's not a perfect person. No one is.

Amazing how a non American commits a crime outside America and it's still Trump's fault.

Funny that once again a white supremacist slaughtered innocents worshipping peacefully? Here's what the murderous scumbag says about your trump:

Unfortunately JT is full of Trump haters, the vast majority of whom have a penchant for hating facts.

Like Trump's inauguration crowd was bigger than Obama's...

Trump ain't no saint for sure, but at least he's smart enough to win a presidency first time round.

With a lot of help from Putin...

Still achieved more in 2 years than any other POTUS.

Insert after more and before in "for Russia"...

Hate away, thumbs down etc, but finger pointing at Trump for every transgression in the world is pathetic!

The world is full of them,

But it really doesn’t matter what the world thinks, they didn’t elect this President

Only fools in the US or profiteers and fellow dictators like him -- and then most Don't actually like HIM, just how they can profit of his stupidity.

What? Anyway, the way these young fresh Democrats are going and them embracing openly socialism, I give any of these candidates about a 20% chance they can beat Trump.

The first three quotes in this one, and the reason for the entire article itself are Trump's.

That's followed by some quotes from the White House defending Trump.
