Trump express optimism for U.S. peace deal with Taliban

Hmmmm, I guess the Taliban came up with some fake dirt on Biden or Saunders...

What a waste of lives and resources this war was.

They got Bin Laden but at what price?

Taliban will get power back and the country will continue to be miserable...

Oh, OK, well, let's just stay in Afghanistan forever.

So, how do you feel about conservatives having started this war and not ending it swiftly, which is to say before Obama was elected? (I don't want to hear about how Obama didn't end the war, which is why I asked you a very specific question, so please try to answer it in good faith.)

Yeah, good luck with that.

Not really fair. Conservatives may have led but the war could never have gotten under way without bipartisan and international support. This Earth truly is a ship of fools and the people with the BS detection goggles are not nearly appreciated or listened to enough.

This is good news. I hope that a deal can be arranged, and the killings stopped. I supported going into Afghanistan to get Bin Ladin and the Taliban after 9/11. An attack like that cannot be left without retribution. But then it just turned into a 19 year boondoggle, with no purpose or meaning anymore. It would be good if the people of Afghanistan could move on to peace and rebuilding.
