the only thing that I applaud about Hillary is she looked nice the other night.

A person over 70 would say that.

Another ridiculously biased article in the press. But no surprise. I said before the mainstream media are acting as the PR are mof the current regime, and now we are seeing it.

One positive thing about a Trump presidency that even our local Trump bashers should be able to acknowledge: In a Trump presidency, the media would re-discover what they should do: offering critical coverage. Insteady of acting as ridiculously sycophantic lackeys of the existing government.

Trump aside to reporter while Alicia Machado was being made to go through her work-out routine, "This is a girl who likes to eat." Nice thing to say, isn't it? Beats calling her "Miss Piggy" I suppose, but... what's next? Well, who knows with Trump. Reports that he wanted to fire unattractive women who worked at his golf clubhouses, maybe, or allegations made by contestants and crew on The Apprentice that he couldn't shut up about certain contestants' breast sizes or how good they'd be in bed,,,? You can just never tell.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well, the clip is from a CNN broadcast, so I don't know how staged it was. Certainly looked like Trump and Machado were getting along quite well, very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Trump was even poking fun at the assembled reporters for their own less than perfect physiques. A far cry from what was portrayed by Hillary.

News Flash! Trump sympathizes with overweight beauty queen!

News Flash! Trump obeys tax law!

What's next, I wonder?

If you want to learn something closer to the reality of the whole spectacle, watch this video. It is an interview with Trump and Machado together, explaining the situation, from 1997:

We all know Trump can stick to a teleprompter from time to time. I wouldn't infer too much from his staged PR videos.

In the video, he repeatedly praises her, calling her beautiful, and sympathizes that she shares a penchant for eating when stressed out that many other people also have. He hired a fitness instructor to help her get her shape back.

So much for yet another shaming attempt by the DNC.

Hillary: "Who gets up at 3 o'clock in the morning to engage in a Twitter attack against a former Miss Universe?"

Someone with the stamina to defend himself against frivolous attacks for a flippant comment made 20 years ago?

I could stay up until 3am and write a few sentences on Twitter about people I don't like. So could just about anyone. That's a sign of stamina?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Honestly, who, at this point could still support Hillary Clinton for president?

Anyone who doesn't want the country to be absolutely ruined.

Honestly, I don't feel Hillary is an amazing candidate. I think she'll do a fine job, but Obama was way better, and there have been many better presidents.

But on her worst day, she'd be infinitely better than Trump. It's not even comparable.

Prove you're better, then. Give us your opinion of Trump's comments about Jeffrey Epstein. And there are two sides to every story? I agree. But what do you have to say about this side of Trump's story, courtesy of the very conservative Daily Mail:

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The question is, does this even change anyone's mind about him? I'm sure a lot of his supporters would have loved his woman-shaming banter. I guess the real question is what sort of bottom of the barrel woman would support him?

More "what about Hillary and Bill" deflection. Pathetic.

We say the same about the left and their constant deflection.

But quite honestly, who cares how many women say Trump's a great guy if there's anything at all in those rape allegations?

Then the left should hold the same standard when it comes to supporting their old darling Bill Clinton, especially him.

Now contrary to your usual anti-liberal diatribes,

Anti-liberal? More like anti-oft hypocrisy spin.

I'm not saying he's guilty of anything. I trust that if a case is made against him he will have his day in court and that the true facts will emerge. I'm sure his testimony will be as clear, comprehensive and credible as... well, some of his remarks in debates, interviews and speeches.

Bill Clinton's was, even with the infamous Blue dress.

Having said that, Jeffrey Epstein did plead the 5th when asked if Donald Trump had ever been to his house, and Trump did say those very, very nice things about him - which you, apparently, would prefer to ignore while you rant and rave about Bill Clinton. Interestingly, in 2008 Trump had this to say:

Hey! Didn't Umma, Sheryl Mills and pretty much everyone else around Hillary plead the 5th?! According to you, that speaks volumes! So we agree on something after all. And they say, liberals and conservatives can't get along! I say, Humbug to all the skeptics!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Okay... scrolling back... yes, it was a reference to Hillary Clinton taking money rather than Alicia Machado. Sorry for misreading that.

Look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into over something totally unimportant and they tried to impeach him which was nonsense.

What were you saying about hypocrisy?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Not really. The "she" in question being Alicia Machado, and the question being whether she took any money or not. In your message I only saw references to money you allege Hillary Clinton received.

Actually, your wrong. Machado was making the case that Trump was being a mean and nasty misogynist and there are a lot of people that countered that argument. Liberals didn't try to objectively see whether the man was guilty or not, because they hate Trump so much, he has to be guilty of being a misogynistic brute. There are two sides to every story, remember that. We don't need to give him the benefit of a doubt. Liberals, the party of hypocrisy and intolerance.

We both just don't know, but I just go by 35 years of Clinton negative history, others can go by what they wish. Seems like her untrustworthy numbers aren't getting better in the eyes of the public. But hey, we're talking about Hillary Clinton, nothing new in the world of Clinton lies.

Thoughts?

Sure. Her comments:

"They are living in their parents' basement," Clinton said. "They feel they got their education and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves. And they don’t see much of a future."

Ok... I'm failing to see the problem with this comment. It sounds to me like she is empathizing with the plight of many university graduates who feel cheated by being told they needed a degree, and found themselves unemployable after getting the degree.

"If you’re feeling like you’re consigned to, you know, being a barista, or you know, some other job that doesn’t pay a lot, and doesn’t have some other ladder of opportunity attached to it, then the idea that maybe, just maybe, you could be part of a political revolution is pretty appealing."

Again, what's the problem here?

You're going to have to show that they did, before I can answer that.

That's ok, Strange.

Ahh I see, so you don't actually know if they did that, it's just 'something people are saying', right?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You're going to have to show that they did, before I can answer that.

That's ok, Strange. Appreciate it, but I think most people will hold their breath until otherwise. I just hope Trump puts the screws to her and real hard and for the record on the accusation of showing his taxes, he needs to get that out of the way and do it promptly.

Oh I'm sure you're right. I'm just repeating what people are saying - that he was doing a lot of cocaine before the debate. Of course, I don't know this for sure, although I have heard it from a very credible source. But I'm just repeating the fact that people are saying that he did a lot of cocaine before the debate.

Hey, you never know with either of them, I mean, who's telling the truth, we just don't know from the looks of it all.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Still how did the Clinton's obtain a fortune as public servants?

You're going to have to show that they did, before I can answer that.

As far as I know, they've made the majority of their money while private citizens. Unless you can show otherwise, I have nothing to look into in order to answer your question.

Talk about a bunch of vague nothingness. If you can provide any substance to support whatever this thing is they're talking about, I'll look into it further.

I can't do

I know you can't, because it's not a true statement. Just more lies from the right.

As I claimed earlier and what all the media outlets are now admitting that there was a problem with his mic not being properly calibrated and decompressed.

Oh I'm sure you're right. I'm just repeating what people are saying - that he was doing a lot of cocaine before the debate. when it involves the tax payer paying their salaries, we as their employer have the absolute right to know

Well, as they were both private citizens, I guess we don't have the right to know. So if they don't want to release the transcripts, they don't have to.

The Clinton foundation took money from SA, and used it for charitable purchases. And they did it all in a transparent matter.

Ok, I get it, but that's not what the majority of Americans feel given her history, Hillary supporters do believe that though. Still how did the Clinton's obtain a fortune as public servants?

Talk about a bunch of vague nothingness. If you can provide any substance to support whatever this thing is they're talking about, I'll look into it further.

I can't do No more than what's already been tagged and documented and the facts brought into account.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. There are some people claiming that Trump did a whole whack of cocaine before the debate. I'm not passing judgement, but people are saying, you know? I'm hearing this out and about. I hope he didn't do a whole bunch of cocaine before the debate, but I just keep hearing it.

As I claimed earlier and what all the media outlets are now admitting that there was a problem with his mic not being properly calibrated and decompressed. Had it happen to me and just about everyone in the business if you are on air or have to speak to an audience.

What about it, if it's true (and I'm skeptical), does that make Trump's bigoted and misogynistic statements ok?

So how about we dig deeper in her past and focus on her credibility or lack of it, should I say?

Private meetings are private meetings. If they are done in public service, it's one thing. But when private citizens, they have the right to privacy in their meetings.

And when it involves the tax payer paying their salaries, we as their employer have the absolute right to know, otherwise, we vote you out of office.

The Clinton Foundation has been at the center of several controversies that have hobbled Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign by eroding trust in the former secretary of state. Numerous wealthy donors to the non-profit received favors from the Clinton State Department. The foundation has also been criticized for accepting millions of dollars in donations from countries with records of human rights abuses. Saudi Arabia has given the organization between $10 million and $25 million.

The Clinton foundation took money from SA, and used it for charitable purchases. And they did it all in a transparent matter.

What exactly is the controversy?

Another foreign donor’s activities piqued the interest of the FBI last year, according to a recent report from CNN. A bank informed the bureau of a Clinton Foundation donor’s “suspicious activity.” The FBI and three Justice Department field offices thought that the lead warranted an investigation into the Clinton Foundation. But the DOJ’s public integrity unit declined to open up a formal probe.

Talk about a bunch of vague nothingness. If you can provide any substance to support whatever this thing is they're talking about, I'll look into it further.

Ok, I get it, it was wrong if it is indeed true. There are some women that claim different, I'm not passing judgement, but there were more women disputing Machado's claim

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. There are some people claiming that Trump did a whole whack of cocaine before the debate. I'm not passing judgement, but people are saying, you know? what about the fact that she threatened a judge?

What about it, if it's true (and I'm skeptical), does that make Trump's bigoted and misogynistic statements ok?

I think they should, ONLY because the left want to see his and the right wants to see hers, so to pacify everyone else and both sides, they both should.

Private meetings are private meetings. If they are done in public service, it's one thing. But when private citizens, they have the right to privacy in their meetings.

You realized she's released her tax returns, right? The matter of how she got her money is public record. If there's something there, tell us what it is. Right now you're spouting tinfoil hat theories.

That has nothing do with her entire foundation. http://dailycaller.com/2016/08/12/96-percent-of-hillarys-charitable-donations-in-2015-went-to-clinton-foundation/

The Clintons’ effective federal tax rate was 34.2 percent, the Clinton campaign said in a press release. With state and local taxes amounting to nine percent of their income, they paid just over 43 percent of their income in taxes.

It remains to be seen if Clinton will face the same scrutiny for her in-house contributions as former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney did when he ran on the GOP ticket in 2012.

Romney paid $1.9 million in taxes and gave $4 million in charity on income of $14 million. But many liberal commentators criticized the Republican because a majority of those charitable contributions went to the Mormon church. Another chunk went to a foundation controlled by his family.

It was also revealed earlier this week that a Clinton Foundation adviser named Doug Band contacted several Clinton State Department aides in 2009 asking for a favor for a million-dollar Clinton Foundation donor named Gilbert Chagoury. Chagoury, a Nigerian-Lebanese billionaire, was at one time an associate of Nigerian dictator Sani Abache. He formed a relationship with Bill Clinton in the 1990s.

You can believe her crap, I sure as heck don't and 63% of the country doesn't either.

The left isn't obsessed with Machado, we're pointing out how bigoted and misogynist Trump treated her. She herself just happens to be the person to whom he was bigoted and misogynistic.

Ok, I get it, it was wrong if it is indeed true. There are some women that claim different, I'm not passing judgement, but there were more women disputing Machado's claim and then what about the fact that she threatened a judge? So dunno.....methinks this women is kinda shady just a tad. The left should try and poke holes in her story with this new revelation, that is, if they are fair and down the middle.

And Trump hasn't given us transcripts of his private business meetings. Neither of them should be required to.

I think they should, ONLY because the left want to see his and the right wants to see hers, so to pacify everyone else and both sides, they both should.

bass4funkOCT. 01, 2016 - 10:03PM JST I think it's a shame that Hillary gets a pass for taking donations from countries that have a horrible human and women's rights track record,

This doesn't happen. "Hillary" isn't taking any donations at all.

I think it's embarrassing this woman would stay with a man that took her through the mud with his indiscretions over and over again and never cared about the country or his wife.

Let's leave aside for a moment the fact that her personal life is none of our business and has absolutely nothing to do with her fitness to be President - your claim that that Bill Clinton took her name through the mud is nothing but personal opinion and your claim that he never cared about the country or his wife is nothing but baseless conjecture without a scrap of evidence.

I don't fault Trump for being direct.

No one asked you to fault him for being "direct". You should be faulting him for being a lying, cheating, swindling, bigoted, misogynistic carnival barker whose behavior for the entire election campaign has been utterly consistent with that of a narcissistic totalitarian dictator.

bass4funkOCT. 02, 2016 - 01:06AM JST I think at this point and time, the entire country can see that she does.

No, the entire country doesn't see that because she's been through decades of litigation and investigation by Republicans and not once has any kind of criminal charge been laid against her. The people who "see that she does" are paranoid delusionals who choose not to believe the facts in front of their eyes but who instead choose to believe an imaginary mental picture that makes them feel good about themselves.

I think at this point and time, the entire country can see that she does. How do you know? Well, it goes back, once again to her untrustworthy numbers, that's the indicator. 0 ( +0 / -0 )

HOLT: Mr. Trump, for five years, you perpetuated a false claim that the nation's first black president was not a natural-born citizen. You questioned his legitimacy. In the last couple of weeks, you acknowledged what most Americans have accepted for years: The president was born in the United States. Can you tell us what took you so long?

TRUMP: I'll tell you very -- well, just very simple to say. Sidney Blumenthal works for the campaign and close -- very close friend of Secretary Clinton. And her campaign manager, Patti Doyle, went to -- during the campaign, her campaign against President Obama, fought very hard. And you can go look it up, and you can check it out.

TRUMP: And if you look at CNN this past week, Patti Solis Doyle was on Wolf Blitzer saying that this happened. Blumenthal sent McClatchy, highly respected reporter at McClatchy, to Kenya to find out about it. They were pressing it very hard. She failed to get the birth certificate.

When I got involved, I didn't fail. I got him to give the birth certificate. So I'm satisfied with it. And I'll tell you why I'm satisfied with it.

HOLT: That was...

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: Because I want to get on to defeating ISIS, because I want to get on to creating jobs, because I want to get on to having a strong border, because I want to get on to things that are very important to me and that are very important to the country.

HOLT: I will let you respond. It's important. But I just want to get the answer here. The birth certificate was produced in 2011. You've continued to tell the story and question the president's legitimacy in 2012, '13, '14, '15...

TRUMP: Yeah.

HOLT: .... as recently as January. So the question is, what changed your mind?

TRUMP: Well, nobody was pressing it, nobody was caring much about it. I figured you'd ask the question tonight, of course. But nobody was caring much about it. But I was the one that got him to produce the birth certificate. And I think I did a good job.

Secretary Clinton also fought it. I mean, you know -- now, everybody in mainstream is going to say, oh, that's not true. Look, it's true. Sidney Blumenthal sent a reporter -- you just have to take a look at CNN, the last week, the interview with your former campaign manager. And she was involved. But just like she can't bring back jobs, she can't produce.

HOLT: I'm sorry. I'm just going to follow up -- and I will let you respond to that, because there's a lot there. But we're talking about racial healing in this segment. What do you say to Americans, people of color who...

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: Well, it was very -- I say nothing. I say nothing, because I was able to get him to produce it. He should have produced it a long time before. I say nothing.

But let me just tell you. When you talk about healing, I think that I've developed very, very good relationships over the last little while with the African-American community. I think you can see that.

And I feel that they really wanted me to come to that conclusion. And I think I did a great job and a great service not only for the country, but even for the president, in getting him to produce his birth certificate.

HOLT: Secretary Clinton?

CLINTON: Well, just listen to what you heard.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

She didn't take any money. Or at least, this is the first I've heard of her taking any money. Can you please give some sources for this?

I think at this point and time, the entire country can see that she does. How do you know? Well, it goes back, once again to her untrustworthy numbers, that's the indicator. She can deny it all day, but judging by her history and the amount of cash they have accumulated over the years, it's kinda obvious.

If she did, that's her thing to be embarrassed about, not yours.

Of course it is, to the point that, if she doesn't want anyone to know about her marriage, don't get into politics and don't step into the public eye.

Considering the right is so focused on the sanctity of marriage, it's interesting to see their hypocrisy when complaining that she didn't get a divorce.

I could say the same about the lefts stupid obsession with Alicia Machado

"Did you really use more than $250,000 from your charitable foundation to settlle several of your lawsuits?"

How much is Clinton really worth? We just don't know, she still hasn't given us her speech and foundation transcripts.

"So if you think it's alright to not pay your taxes, would you as President also exempt all Americans from paying it as well?"

You should of course pay your taxes and you should also you should be as transparent as possible, that's why I want all of Hillary's speeches pertaining to her foundation made public.

"Does your hardline stance on immigration also include punishments for those who use models who don't have proper permits or visas to work in the U.S. (as you have done in the past through Trump Model Management?"

That would depend, if the allegations are true or not. Depends on the person you are asking. I heard some people saying the models didn't have proper visas and some that said, they do.

"Didn't you use donor money to buy up books that you wrote (e.g. Great Again: How to Fix Our Crippled America), which in turn is actually like sending money back to yourself (a complete FEC violation)?"

Come again?

"If you care about Americans so much, why do you enjoy refusing to pay for services from hard-working Americans who worked on your various Trump projects?"

I'm sorry, what are you referring to?

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

It was your "getting back to real issues" comment that tickled me.

Madverts: like it or not, it's true. Hillary didnt just innocently stumble on this situation. It was manufactured so as to lure more votes from the Latino and female minorities.

Cosmopolitan magazine interviewed and photographed Machado a week BEFORE the debate- clearly they were told by the Clinton campaign that something was in the works. Otherwise, they never would have been able to get the story out so quickly.

Heh, Trump's wallowing in the hot tub of poop he prepared for himself.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

So, let me get this straight. Trump called a fat girl "Miss Piggy" 20 years ago. Why is this news? She was a beauty pageant winner who let herself go. She wasn't just anyone off the street. Hell, even CNN at the time were teasing her about the situation.

It was all a set up from the Clinton campaign. The found Machado, prepped her, pretaped some commercials, etc. The media was all informed and ready to go. It was a masterful ploy, but nothing more. And now, hopefully, we can get back to the real issues.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Then you're in agreement, we shouldn't give Hillary a pass either and push this hard enough until we get the answers we all want.

And I think the first questions that should be asked are:

Sure, Hillary is no saint, but you can't give a pass to Trump for all of his scandals (many of which I haven't even mentioned above), lies, fabrications, hypocrisy, racist acts, and outright breaking of numerous American laws.

Then you're in agreement, we shouldn't give Hillary a pass either and push this hard enough until we get the answers we all want.

This is quite moving.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

I think it's a shame that Hillary gets a pass for taking donations from countries that have a horrible human and women's rights track record, I think it's embarrassing this woman would stay with a man that took her through the mud with his indiscretions over and over again and never cared about the country or his wife.

And I think it's a shame that Trump gets a pass for all the antitrust violations he has committed through his multitude of casinos and real estate projects, as well as hiring of undocumented Polish workers (i.e. illegal immigrants) for work on his Trump Tower, as well as racial discrimination as to who can live in his apartments. On top of that, he is never prosecuted for the mysterious business dealings in Cuba, as well as the scam called Trump University, in which he bilked large sums of money from students who actually thought it was a legal educational institution (even though it is documented as never having a proper educational license). He has also faced numerous lawsuits (many of which he settled out of court) which complained about unpaid services for construction of his real estate projects.

Sure, Hillary is no saint, but you can't give a pass to Trump for all of his scandals (many of which I haven't even mentioned above), lies, fabrications, hypocrisy, racist acts, and outright breaking of numerous American laws.

Trump knows exactly what he's doing. He's golfing buddies with Bill Clinton. He personally said if he ever ran for president he would run republican because they are the stupidest demographic. He even had a confidential call with Bill shortly before he entered the race last year. Trump is not republican. He is trying to destroy the republican party from the inside out. Trump doesn't want to be president. Trump is the ultimate showman and his outbursts are calculated. He wants Hilary to win and he is doing everything in his power to make that happen. Trump is not dumb; the American public are. Trump is a democrat and he has finally made the republicans look as dumb as they actually are for nominating him.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A cornered and desperate Trump is a frightening thing. He's already implied that his acceptance of election results is contingent, and has renewed calls for his followers to work as "poll watchers." Lost in the titillation of Trump twittering porn sites in the early hours is this quote, also from yesterday:

Hillary Clinton is merely a vessel for the special interests trying to strip this country of its wealth, its jobs, and its status as a sovereign nation.

In other words, Clinton is a traitor, and "real Americans" would be under no obligation to submit to her tyrannous rule. How far he'll take this is anyone's guess, but it's beginning to look alarming. Trump can do a significant amount of damage not just in the five weeks remaining before the election, but afterward as well.

Beating an establishment hack is nothing new.

Now with another one of these big bogus showdowns looming down on us, I can already pick up the stench of another bummer. I understand, along with a lot of other people, that the big thing this year is Beating Nixon. But that was also the big thing, as I recall, twelve years ago in 1960 – and as far as I can tell, we’ve gone from bad to worse to rotten since then, and the outlook is for more of the same.

11 follow up questions for Trump, 0 for Hillary.

Jeffery, an question answered satisfactorily requires no follow-up. Watch the debate again: Particularly as Trump's energy began to flag after the first 30 minutes, he seemed either unable or unwilling to understand what he was being asked, instead wandering into unrelated areas and ignoring the question altogether. That style might work in the upcoming town hall-style debate, but the moderator in the first debate had a job to do, and he did it fairly.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

George HW Bush???? BWHAHAHA!

Well, I can understand how it would bother you that a Republican former president would be voting democrat. There isn't really any more scathing an endorsement than that.

But, the Arizona Republic, The Dallas Morning News, The Cincinnati Enquirer, all extremely Republican publications, all not just not denying Trump, but actively endorsing Clinton... along with Trump not having the support of even a single living former president, it's unprecedented. Never has a candidate been so bad that their party has turned on them to anything like this level.

And after going on about how Hillary is a warmonger, you are claiming Trump is likeable because he's been endorsed by a bunch of generals. I suppose that it takes a certain level of intelligence to see the fallacy there.

11 follow up questions for Trump, 0 for Hillary.

Because Trump didn't answer the question he was asked 11 times, so they needed to be repeated. Hillary, while Trumping Trump, answered the questions she was asked.

TPP, Clinton Foundation, BleachBit, deplorables, coal miners, accepting Wall St. money, ObamaCare, Benhazi, Libya, etc.... the list actually goes on and on.....

Only a fool would believe CNN. The pdf file on there own website stating where the poll numbers come from clearly Stated 46% polled were Democrats, 33% Independant, 21% Republicans. But keep swallowing.

This is such a foolish comment. They broke down the affiliations of the people polled, in the spirit of transparency, so you can see that there is indeed a bias. They even said it themselves when releasing the poll numbers (you didn't watch the video, did you).

I'm not 'believing CNN', or even polls for that matter. If I did, then the swarms of Strumpets who went out there and voted Trump on every poll they found would have me believing that Trump won.

I watched the debate. She trounced him. He came off looking foolish, blustering and bumbling his way through 90 minutes, repeatedly interrupting her, and going off on unrelated tangents. So many republicans have gone on about Rosie O'Donnell after the fact, not realizing that Trump brought up her name in the debate, not Hillary.

Jo, I'm declaring that she won, because I watched her win. I know his Strumpets are fanatical, and would say he won even if he shot one of them in the middle of the debate, but anyone with a bit of intelligence, and any logic, saw the reality of that debate.

This woman was also a get away driver from one of here X`s after he murdered somebody, did porn (Not sex tape, lets get the terms correct here!), and gave birth to a child from a Mexican Drug Lord!

"This woman" isn't running for president, Trump is. This woman's life story is irrelevant to the presidency (so I haven't even bothered to fact check the claims). What's relevant is how Trump treated her as a Latina woman when she did something he didn't like. It's relevant because unlike "this woman", Trump IS running for the presidency.

But, the Strumpets don't like it that once again he's shown himself to be a bigoted misogynist, so they are trying to detract from that by looking up some supposed indiscretions in her life.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump seems to be doubling down on moronity since he lost the debate. I wonder if he's trying to make people forget that by giving them new stuff to focus on. Sometimes bad news is better than no news.

Once again the right shows a complete lack of awareness as to what the problem here is.

Miss Universe didn't live up to her contractual obligations. That's wrong.

But the controversy here is in Trump's reaction to that breaking of contractual obligation. He reacted with bigoted and misogynistic shaming statements. This shows the type of person he is, and how he deals with professional issues. And he wants to be president. When looking at whether someone is qualified to be president, you need to consider the type of person they are, and how they react to professional issues.

And Trump reacts poorly to professional issues, showing he's not a very good person.

Funny, you didn't say anything about it immediately after the debate. Why is that? You're not imitating Trump's flip-flop on Iraq here, are you?

I did say and always believed it was a mic decompression problem.

This is what I said, Sept. 29th:

Sorry, the huffing and puffing stems from the audio engineers not properly decompressing his mic, not an unusual thing to happen. I know the left is running wild with ludicrous accusations of Trump possibles doing blow, but if you are a musician or work in TV proper mic calibration is everything, now having said that, if you have a runny nose, it just adds to the audio amplification and can be extremely noticeable.

But don't worry, I accept your apology.

Insulting? More like the truth! The KKK, David Dukes, the wife beaters (in his inner circle), the adulterers, and other criminals (in his inner and outer circle) are DEPLORABLE. No debate about that

So what about the rape of Juanita Broderick and the 20 or so other victims that Bubba was abusing before he became president. We were getting a head full from Paula Jones, Jennifer Flowers and of course when he was president, the most infamous of them all Monica Lewinsky these are NOT inner circles, these are from women that have the almost exact stories showing the same patterns of this predator. The only difference between Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby is that, Clinton is "White."

--and let's say that insults are deplorable too, which is 50 percent of Trump's language. I had to think when a right-wing relative insulted me (I was dim-witted and elitist--never mind that I am a professor and he makes countertops) that when was the last time I was insulted? 5th grade, in elementary school! This is the level of today's rightwinger.

The problem with the left is, we don't know anything about who or what these people are, besides the usual liars and deniers and deflectors, in over 70 years, they are innocent of doing anything wrong, even creating the KKK and having a former Klans member in the Democratic congress as well as having one of their former hero presidents showing in the White House the movie: A Birth of a Nation! Immediately after she was crowned, she gained 42 pounds. She agreed to look and act a certain way, according to the contest rules that govern her year-long reign. She agreed to them, but then didn't live up to them. This article is about a 70 year old man who's running for president and who could have access codes to the most powerful bombs ever imagined, who wants to further expand the most frightening military in human history while making it easier for US Americans to get even more personal weapons. It's clear he's unstable.

What about a 68 year old hawkish woman with an incredible history lying her teeth off, has the worst credibility issues and then on top losing her emails, servers disappearing and getting other people killed and denying it, so we really want that kind of a person in the White House?

Instead of thinking about ways to deal with the US's problem and policies to address them, he's awake at 3am obsessively tweeting - tweeting! - in defense of his latest fixation, a former beauty contest winner.

So besides lying, how would Hillary solve our domestic problems? Probably like most liberals do, keep on talking and talking and talking and.....

" He also promised to hit Clinton harder in their next debate, on Oct. 9, suggesting he might attack Clinton on the infidelities of her husband, former President Bill Clinton."

This would be the final nail in the coffin of Trump's campaign. I can't even imagine how anything but a minuscule percentage of women, Democrat or Republican could justify voting for him.

Trump clearly has no self-discipline. None. He can be baited at a whim and always be counted on to take the bait.

I can't think of a better example of something that rhymes with him: "Chump."

His latest Twitter meltdown is unhinged, even for him. It proves again he is temperamentally unfit to be President of the United States

And she's absolutely right. The man is drawn into petty insults and exchanges driven by a monumental ego that makes him absolutely and completely unfit to run any country, let alone the US. The only real bizarre remaining aspect of this is that he is still in a Presidential race.

I mean, is this what the Republican party REALLY wants? Do they really want him to be President? I find it very hard to reconcile the idea that they do, to be honest. Is this what the Republican Party is? Because if they are really sitting back in comfort with all of this, then I think far, far less of them than I ever did before.

Perhaps they are just gritting their teeth in the expectation that he will lose, then go back to being a corporate bully. But if, by some unbelievably twisted turn of fate he wins, well, they will have a LOT to answer for.

'I work as part time as a bass player'

That is a cool job. Out of curiosity as a music fan, which well known bassists are best in your opinion: Victor Wooten, Nathan East, etc. Also, why were so many great black rock artists of the 1970s labelled 'funk.' Was it a marketing ploy?

Next Trump (and maybe a few others on this forum) will be saying Hillary, who also moonlights as a bass player/sound engineer, was seen fiddling with Trump's mic just before the debate started!

She probably said "NO!" to Trump. We also know where Trump's head is.

This is one of those situations where Trump has absolutely nothing to gain. Its just self-destructive and it doesn't seem like anyone on his team is able to make him stop.

bass: I was right all along, knew it. I work as part-time as a bass player/sound engineer and I could tell immediately it was a problem with the mic calibration and decompression

I didn't know you were at the debate.

"...there were issues regarding Donald Trump’s audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall. The sound was not affected for the record-setting audience of 84 million people who tuned into the 90-minute exchange."

I'm relieved to know after all these years that the sighing sound from Al Gore was actually a mic problem.

@FredWI'd like to hear your take on this seeing as you felt he was making it up.

Yawn. When does this finish November 8th?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Don't like either of them but really!!!! Trump calling a women Ms. Piggy many years ago is actually taking up hours of TV time? Grow up People! A whole country and possibly the world is at stake here. What are we 5 years old????!!!!!

So mic calibration is to blame is it ? I thought that would only distort the sound, not alter the words coming out of his sanctimonious pie hole.

Trump should have his staff just show this video from 1997 where he defends her, keeps her from being fired, flatters her, speaks sympathetically about her eating disorder, talks about rehabbing her to a healthy weight, chides the media for its fat-shaming hypocrisy, and points out the issue of eating disorders as a problem???

I was right all along, knew it. I work as part-time as a bass player/sound engineer and I could tell immediately it was a problem with the mic calibration and decompression, it happens and in TV as any Journalist knows, these things are very common. But the left conveniently chooses to believe what they want, just like when that pathetic Howard Dean accused the man of doing coke. I guess all of his years in med school was a total waste of his time.

Does he honestly think he's going to get more votes with such behavior? No doubt he has made his way through the business world by being an absolute pr*ck so let's just keep him in that world. Even if he did become POTUS, he'd be dealing with lawsuits every week for previous dealings that will no doubt continue to come up as well as future idiotic things he will do and say! How much can a guy write himself off for the job as POTUS before his supporters give up?

A Presidential candidate is taking the time to battle a former beauty queen in the middle of the night?

Thank God I'm old.

This is one week and I'm sure I've missed a few things. No one can deny he's an interesting fellow who is in love with himself but to be considered a viable candidate for President of the United States is laughable any way you try to look at it.

Trump could have handled the Machado incident in a few ways. Best would have been to studiously ignore it and focus on Making America Great Again or whatever. A distant second would have been to link it to attacks on Clinton and her supposed enabling of Bill's affairs. The very, very worst he could have done was to engender the image of a 70-year old alone in a darkened room in the early hours of the morning Googling pornography on his Samsung. So, okay! Which did he choose?

Much, much bad will flow from this towards Trump and the GOP in general - particularly due to the fact that no "sex tape" exists, so Trump was either factually incorrect or lying (in the predawn hours, huddled over his Samsung). Snopes has the raw info (it is a bit raw, maybe NSFW.) http://www.snopes.com/alicia-machado-adult-star/
