Trump's 95 vs 35 to Harris so far. Off to a good start.

Trump Vance. Off to very good start. Its going to be a close one.

-1 ( +19 / -20 )

So when do the calls come to stop the counting? Once California comes into play, maybe?

5 ( +11 / -6 )

Tight where it matters at the moment.

Advantage Trump as it stands.

6 ( +13 / -7 )

Tight where it matters at the moment.

Especially Texas.

I'm looking at The Age's site, hardly pro-Trump, for a sense of what they're seeing.

https://www.theage.com.au/us-votes-2024

2 ( +8 / -6 )

No surprises yet. Harris is ahead in Pennsylvania.

0 ( +11 / -11 )

News coming fast and furious.

Rogan endorsing Trump and and the bro vote of young males trending Trump.

Heard a breakdown of the demographics and Trump has some things real to be confident about.

GOP setting up in Congress to possibly contest the election for Trump.

I miss the days of us Bernie Bros.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

VA and GA are tight but Trump ahead, and with a wider margin in NC. Harris could snare PA.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Betting markets up to 70 and 75% Trump. Poor cardsfan falsely claims Harris winning NC, she’s not.

losing Virginia so far and losing Georgia really bad.

-8 ( +10 / -18 )

Trump votes are catching up in PA, perhaps as rural/regional results come in. Harris will get a big chunk of the urban ones though.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

Especially Texas.

I'm looking at The Age's site, hardly pro-Trump, for a sense of what they're seeing.

Certainly an improvement on Louder with Crowder.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

No surprises yet.

Virginia.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

No surprises yet.

Virginia.

Virginia has been Purple for a while.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Who has called Virginia?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Virginia has been Purple for a while.

yet zero polls or projections had Trump winning Virginia too. Uh oh.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

I don't think anyone will be calling VA for a while yet. Trump is making gains in MI, but with only 10% counted so far it's hard to say where that will go.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

https://abcnews.go.com/Elections/2024-us-presidential-election-results-live-map

Virginia at 52% counted. Richmond only 10% reported. Big NoVA counties and cities only between 30-50% counted. Hampton Roads about the same.

“She didn’t have enough time to introduce herself!”

Yet didn’t interview, no press conferences, used celebrities to speak instead of speaking herself.

-5 ( +9 / -14 )

After today, let’s hope we will be unburdened by what has been.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Some positives for Harris as exit polling is showing she is starkly outperforming Biden against Trump with older voters, +65.

After today, let’s hope we will be unburdened by what has been.

Yeah that is not going to happen, especially when one candidates platform is retribution.

-6 ( +6 / -12 )

13 tabulation machines and 31,000 ballots in Michigan have “issues”.

Here we go.

-4 ( +9 / -13 )

In any normal western democracy Trump and his cohort of lunatics would probably just get a handful of the lunatic right vote and not even be a real contender to win government. Even if he loses again it's still worrying that so many in the USA can identify with a man who's been convicted of many felonies, found guilty of sexual assault and propagated anti science beliefs. There's something very wrong with the thinking of many millions of people in the USA and to think that they get a voice in choosing the next US President is astounding to say the least.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

“Milwaukee Recounting BallotsElection results in Milwaukee are expected to be delayed, as the city’s election commission said it will recount 31,000 ballots. The ballots—representing approximately a third of all mail-in ballots in the city—are being recounted out of an abundance of caution after workers noticed doors on the tabulation machines weren’t properly closed, The New York Times reports.”

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

13 tabulation machines and 31,000 ballots in Michigan have “issues”.

Interesting to see how this pans out depending on how the projections go. Maybe these "issues" will magically disappear.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

And yes, Milwaukee isn’t in Michigan but Wisconsin.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

13 tabulation machines and 31,000 ballots in Michigan have “issues”.

Here we go.

Exactly, luckily they have lawyers on standby

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

Exactly, luckily they have lawyers on standby

An election decided not by the votes of the public, but by lawyers? Doesn't sound very...American.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Looking good for Trump so far!

0 ( +10 / -10 )

North Carolina and Georgia ready to be added to Trump total.

-1 ( +9 / -10 )

JT readers..... but how could this be? Trumps killing it.

2 ( +9 / -7 )

Looks like Trump is making good ground now in PA.

0 ( +8 / -8 )

Trump has 178 but a long way to go. These are expected wins.

West Coast has not closed yet and about 100 from there will go to Harris.

It will be close and mail in ballots might decide.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

37 million to 32 million popular vote for Trump.

at what point does the left realize Biden was actually the better candidate? lol

0 ( +12 / -12 )

JT readers..... but how could this be? Trumps killing it.

It is early and, no.

It is called the "Red Mirage' and is a phenomenon of modern US elections. Trump tried to exploit it in 2020 with his claims.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2024/11/04/blue-mirage-and-red-mirage-explained-why-tomorrows-first-swing-state-vote-counts-may-be-misleading/

Still a ways to go and could go either way.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

WI is wobbling between them at the moment, but Trump is maintaining a lead in the popular vote. If he gets this and the electoral college, it'll be interesting to see whether the Ds accept the drubbing and perhaps get back to their roots, or double down on the craziness that's infected them for years now.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

As of 21:54, In my precinct,

Trump: 1,137

Harris: 1,170

For the entire county (not all reported):

Trump: 146,018

Harris: 199,059

For the entire state (not all reported):

Trump: 2,205,526

Harris: 1,968,471

Urban areas generally take until midnight to report, so there's over a 200K difference/pad, depending on how you want the result to be.

4.2M votes counted. There are 8,249,917 registered voters with 7,243,942 considered "active" - people likely to vote, so there are about 3M more votes to be counted.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Will hold the horses then Dagon. Early days it is. Enjoy!

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

AZ now coming in, with Trump marginally ahead. He's now almost caught up in PA, only marginally behind Harris. Iowa now swinging back in his favour as well.

And the popular vote gap is widening.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

This is not looking good for the Democrats :(

2 ( +9 / -7 )

Now marginally ahead in PA.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

NTY just suggested that Trump has a 75% chance of winning the 2024 based on current polling data and the votes counted thus far, going with 291/247.

Underworld - Who do you predict will win?....It's very tight so could be either... ...That's no fun...

Sorry to disappoint but it is what it is.

Yeah, I would have thought you would punt on who would win, but no.

I'm predicting a win for Harris. So far still a tossup.

I do hope Trump will win because it would be a victory for common sense / values

Ah, no. Trump is not the common sense / values candidate. Kinda the opposite.

but the polls are close so....

Yup.

Btw, how big a win / landslide for Kamala do you predict?

Tossup. If she gets the Rust belt it'll be 270, possibly 276.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Cruz won a 3rd term, fantastic.

-4 ( +8 / -12 )

The liberal polls were totally wrong based on the results we have seen so far.

-1 ( +11 / -12 )

Come on Donald!

Keep her out!

1 ( +11 / -10 )

At a library in Phoenix, Arizona, Felicia Navajo, 34, and her husband Jesse Miranda, 52, arrived with one of their three young kids to vote for Trump.

Being fair, a troubling sign for Harris is she is underperforming with Latinos and Trump could win up to 40% of the Latino vote, a 15 to 20 point turnaround from Biden vs Trump.

Still too early though.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Cruz won a 3rd term, fantastic.

Cancun Ted Cruz is a joke and Texas should be ashamed.

-5 ( +7 / -12 )

The overnight stock market is up by over 500 points in anticipation of a Trump victory,

-1 ( +8 / -9 )

The liberal polls were totally wrong based on the results we have seen so far.

The liberal polls were totally misleading based on the results we have seen so far. - fixed for ya✓

Every poll from the MSM was calling like H51% T49%, they wanted to make her look good but at the same time they knew they couldn't stretch things too far and tell 75% of America (Trump Supporters) she'd win in a landslide.

Editors etc. be like

"Ok guys, a win of just +2% or +3%, that's all we can do for her at this point"

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

hey knew they couldn't stretch things too far and tell 75% of America (Trump Supporters) she'd win in a landslide.

This shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

If they were ashamed he would have lost.

Yeah. But Trump will lose the popular vote. That is pretty certain.

Kamala underestimated the Black men vote and that is what is killing her

Still too early though.

It is, but as for now, the map seems to be trending his way.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

Trump's lead opening up in IA and WI, staying ahead in PA but dropped behind a tad in VA. Ahead by about 5M votes in the popular vote.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Democrats are shaking in thier boots. Trump is killing it.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Yeah. But Trump will lose the popular vote. That is pretty certain.

even it so, that’s all you have to comfort your tears. 47th President Donald J. Trump.

2 ( +11 / -9 )

Senate-House going RED RED RED! So far so good.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Looks like the Joe Rogan army is real - doing better than expected amongst young men. And courting Latino voters with proper policies they actually care about has shot him some 13-14 points (or more) above 2020 figures.

Liz Cheney and Jimmy McCain and Lopez and Swift and all the celebrities couldn't reverse this.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

Senate-House going RED RED RED! So far so good.

This is Trump Country! MAGA World! MAGA forever!!

Make the World peaceful and sane again.

No more wars and struggling American families!

God Bless Trump and the USA!

Are you actually following the results as they come in, or just making stuff up?

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

So many articles with this USA elections thing, you might think that those elections are for Japan, not for USA. /facepalm

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Obama’s finger wagging and scolding of black men was a huge error.

0 ( +7 / -7 )

Trump looks to have won on current projections.

What that will mean for the world only time will tell!

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

84% chance of Trump winning at latest projections

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Dems shouldnt have done that coup against Sleepy Joe - Harris doesn’t measure up to him in any way.

2 ( +10 / -8 )

Initial indications of democratic operatives/pundits doing the recrimination thing live on TV (just happened on NBC). Although it's the first stage (weak denialism), they know it is looking grim.

0 ( +7 / -7 )

I’m calling it now for sure, it’s a Trump win

-1 ( +10 / -11 )

Trump ahead in MI now, but only 24% counted according The Age.

He's now almost 100 likely EC votes ahead now, so it's unlikely Harris can win even with CA.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

Dems shouldnt have done that coup against Sleepy Joe - Harris doesn’t measure up to him in any way.

None of them are fit for anything.

That's what got me disappointed. They had 4 years to find someone to stop the Orange man through the sacred will of the American people, still couldnt come up with anything better than Biden and Harris.

I'd believe even Clinton would have a better chance.

There is no showdown tonight.

This election has been already decided since the beginning of the disastrous Biden's presidency.

I didn't even bother to join any MAGA happy hour tonight, as exciting as watching a soccer match Argentina vs. Zambia lol

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

This is looking like a massive eff up by the Democrats, the seeds of which will go back to Obama and the Hillary campaign.

Trump himself is an ex single-term President, i.e., a failure, but at least he had Covid as a black swan-type mitigating factor. Biden/Harris look about to lose in spite of good economic numbers, mostly a gift due to post-Covid recovery, a weird AI bubble in the Nasdaq, and a huge rise in personal debt. This is a big eff up from them.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Dems shouldnt have done that coup against Sleepy Joe

A lot of people seem to have short memories. Biden is in pretty severe decline. I guess you, and others, believe he would have been a viable President at 86, but I don't.

Dems should have found a legitimate candidate two years back. Harris was clearly not a viable candidate.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

People really ought investigate what the democratic party is about these days i.e. regarding who funds candidates etc

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Are you kidding? Neither Trump or Harris are elected now. Only the electoral college members are determined now. And only those few hundred people later can elect the president. And about half of them are not even bound to what the results in their state have turned out. So before you write such big fake here, learn a few basic elements of US election rules and procedures.

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

Trump now consistently about 6M votes ahead in the popular vote.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Hard to overcome constant lies. Gullible voters are a huge issue in the US.

Trump has the lead here currently. The question is whether Harris can catch up.

70% voter turnout expected.

60 bomb threats across Georgia today. None were real, but all are being investigated for prosecution.

The prosecutor of Trump's legal case has retained her position.

Decentralized voting has proven, yet again, to be accurate. All the bogus pre-election claims of fraud are ... er ... a fraud.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

I think Harris is going to eventually win Pennsylvania. Mostly of the uncounted votes are in the urban areas.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

Trump Makes Unsupported Claim About ‘Massive CHEATING’ in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department, the Philadelphia district attorney, a Republican city commissioner and the Pennsylvania Department of State all refuted the claim.

Doesn't seem so, 80% of the vote count is already in, I mean, it is possible, but not likely at this point.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

I guess you, and others, believe he would have been a viable President at 86, but I don't.

More viable than the hapless and hopeless Harris. At least Sleepy Joe could answer questions.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

Just a random thought which came out of left field.

If Trump does win, he will need to travel to various countries to shove out of the way / talk to their heads of state, elected officials, etc.

Some of those countries forbid entry to someone with a criminal record.

What would happen then? I assume he'd have to send Vance or someone else in his place.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

Well done America despite the media alignment, despite idiot celebrity endorsements, despite the lawfare, despite the abuse and MAGA deplorable badges thrown relentlessly from an arrogant entitled class, despite the T man being sold by the establishment as a modern-day Hitler and a danger to democracy; what did you go and do?

You used your vote to give the ultimate remedy and answer to all of this. Huge congratulations from Australia. Just gonna put yaz out of your misery and call it with Trump now at more than 84% likelihood to take it.

It's a massive victory for those who managed to see through the smoke, mirrors and noise, saw whats really going on and could still separate the wheat from the chaff and think for themselves. Sorry Dems. It WAS actually that bad.

We had our mini version in Australia with the voice referendum, another sickly sweet attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of our population too, that backfired and failed miserably. Never underestimate the people and perhaps entertain this final idea. Populism perhaps is just a dirty word to those who have never been popular!

Next four years is gunna be awesome. All the best!

Diplomatic immunity (said in South African accent). No nation would ever arrest the President of the USA.

Not over yet but looking increasingly likely the majority of Americans did not buy into the "Trump is an unhinged fascist dictator that will bring about the end of democracy and US" hysterical narrative

This is certainly not an hysterical narrative.

that was pushed here daily by the Dem propaganda team.

If something is true, it isn't really considered propaganda.

The US and the world will be better for it.

Nope. Both will be worse off. But America will get the preseident they deserve.

Time for more peace and prosperity is hopefully coming.

Ah, yeah. Good luck with that.

No, if he wins it will be a testament to a man who was stubbornly defiant, unrepentant, unwavering, and unwilling to concede to the swamp and this guy never took defeat and gave up even after 2020 when he was so toxic, everyone wrote him off and that never stopped him, and with the Dems going after him impeaching him twice, accused him of rape, accused him of being a nazi and so many of idiotic things, people saw through that ruse.

The last time the Republicans controlled both Houses of Congress and the Presidency was Eisenhower in the 1950s I believe. Coming out of the devastation of WW2 the Red Team back then was more balanced.

Strap on your seatbelts Yankee boys and girls, will Republicans go all cultural war, anti-Fed or some combination of both?

Trump is about to take Wisconsin too.

The end game is here.

Looks like team Trump is going to win, but i doubt this is the "end game". Look forward to an epic 180 degree turn in the narrative from "the elections absolutely correct and secure" to "we need more time to investigate".

93% of chances.

Heading to Burger King right now to grab my Victory Burger.

Hopefully can listen to Trump within an hour!

It’s a red wave!

Looks like Trump will be pres again, but then again mathematical impossibilities have a habit of happening in the wee hours of the morning...

The people have spoken!

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Can we take a vivtory lap? Are we there? Say it isn't so?

Vice Presdient Vance has a nice tone to it. Don't you think?

For the first time in four years. I feel optimism. Joy and excitement.

I almost fell for it. Almost bamboozed. I almost voted for Harris. What was I thinking?

I will never give a Democrat thought after today if we win. I promise it.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Serves the Democrats right. Control of the media does not allow you to control the people. Due process!

3 ( +7 / -4 )

The people of the United States of America will wake to a brighter dawn.

Fox called Georgia for Trump.

Only a matter if time.

He's back.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Trump may well win each and every of the seven swing states in play.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

With only 10% left, she needs over 200,000 votes in PA. lol

3 ( +9 / -6 )

Just looked at the latest state of play. This is pretty close to worst case scenario for the Democrats.

They need to ask themselves a lot of brutally honest questions.

They know the answers but they are too beholden to the donor class.

The DNC shut out a wildly popular economic populist twice.

https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2016/5/15/polls-sanders-has-more-potential-to-beat-trump

Now you see the Dems losing the young.

The duopoly of corporate controlled neo-libs is why you get populist agitation and Trump is the only alternative to burn it all down.

Enjoy Trump's socialism for the rich.

Bad Haircut

Yeah. But Trump will lose the popular vote. That is pretty certain.

This comment isn't aging well...

We shall see...

We shall.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

The Dems definitely need to clean out some people up the top. Change their messaging.

Installing a weak candidate and giving her just over 100 days to campaign against Trump was madness. They will be up against it in 4 years too. Trump will be controlling MAGA - and selecting the candidates - for a very long time.

Oh man.. This is so true. This is such a great comment. Due procsess. Due!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Long over.

Something interesting with Wisconsin. It always polls deep blue in surveys but in election Trump won it and nearly won it.

it seems that DT going to win?

at least CNN saying so?

Trump looks to have won on current projections.

What that will mean for the world only time will tell!

A return to sanity? No new foreign wars and winding down existing ones? Nation over UN? Respecting borders again? A sane energy policy instead of subsidizing "green" smoke and mirrors? Sounds so bad?

1 ( +6 / -5 )

The American people have spoken, and they said they do not want to live under ultra-liberalism policies anymore.

It was a safe bet--the intelligent voters who ticked the box next to the name Trump recognized the four years where the US and the world prospered under Trump are preferable to the misery induced by the Biden/Harris administration.

Trump's lead in Pennsylvania increases--51.2% Trump to 47.8% Harris.

Trump is leading in Nevada too-.50.9% to 47.5%.

Trump is winning the electoral college votes, he is winning more states than Harris, and he is winning the popular vote. This is an expected but still brutal loss for the Democrats.

Remember the days of listening to cries of 'Russian collusion'.?

RickyKaminsky01.22pm - Great post!

Agreed!

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Nevada's showing up now, with Trump ahead with about 75% of votes counted. There's some chance MN might be in play as well, but it's not likely to matter with the main swing states heading Trump's way.

It's only a matter of time before Harris will have to concede get it over and done with. Trump's about 5 million up on the popular vote too, so the country might not be quite as divided as we think.

Trump 2024! No surprises. The far better choice of the two!

Sure, but there is no virus lockdown this time, and more people have been waking up to the sudden appearance of mystery ballot trucks.

I certainly hope that Elon Musk cleans up the system and creates a secure and auditable voting system based on verification and paper.

Obama’s legacy will likely be his put-down of black male voters before the election.

GA goes to Repubs and it's 248.

Looking good for Trump.

Looks like it'll be Trump, and I respect the nation's democratic decision. However, I wonder if the Trump voters really understand how badly he wants to destroy that very democracy, and whether they actually care.

Terrible day for the future of US democracy; terrible day for Ukraine; terrible day for the free world; great day for dictators.

I'd go with "possibly" and "absolutely not", in that order.

Terrible day for Ukraine

Ukraine is already losing. You just don't hear it from the media because they don't want to create any impression the current administration that you admire is actually stupid.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

They were correct and you failed to respond when I told you that because of Covid, there were an enormous number of mail-in ballots to count in 2020.

Lame excuse. They were saying that there are too many votes to count because of the US's large population. Today is proving them wrong.
