Administration officials say Trump remains focused on serving the public.

Trump uses words his own way. To him 'the public' means his fellow global elites, i.e. his fellow billionaires (has anyone seen his latest tax info to see if he in fact is one?), the 'public' he's meeting with at Davos.

And he indeed has served his 'public' well. His income redistribution measures such as tax breaks for the richest and their corporations have made them wealthier, further widening the income gap between them and the rest.

He's also served his 'public' by continuing federal subsidies (welfare/socialism for the richest) for big farming and ranching, big oil, gas and coal, big defense and other bigs.

Trump's served his 'public' by appointing fellow billionaires from Wall Street, big oil, big defense and other bigs to 'serve' his administration where they're able to continue their lavish lifestyles, paid for by working and middle class taxpayers.

He's also 'served' his 'public' by weakening environmental, consumer and worker protection measures so those running the big corporations can get even richer.

To the other public, i.e. the majority of Americans, he's continuing the Republicans policies of trickling down on them.

@mrnoidalthe do-nothing-dems

Have you heard whether Trump's tool McConnell is doing 'something' with the bills passed to the Senate by the doing-something, at least trying to do something Dems in the House?

Or are the Republicans in the Senate still doing nothing with them, i.e. doing Trump's bidding in his and his fellow R's ongoing attempts to weaken the balance and separation of powers provided in the US Constitution so Trump can have greater authority, allowing him to serve the needs of the so-called elite, i.e. the 'public' the Republicans serve.

We have been over this. Why would a Republican majority Senate pass any bills that contain the priorities of Democrats in the House? We don’t want what they want, obviously.

Let’s get some bipartisan things going, like the USMCA that Nancy held for over 1 year.

@blacklabWe have been over this.

We? Mighty authoritarian of you. Which is to be expected from the serial bifurcators, those following the authoritarian agenda of Trump and his rightwing followers in their ongoing attempts to further divide the long-divided US, to separate those following Trump's regime from those who question it. In their ongoing attempts to undermine the democratic principles the republic's built on. No wonder so many Trump backers envy Russia's totalitarianism, laud Putin and want him to 'meddle' in US politics..

Trump is off doing the business of the American people - as usual. Dems are off trying to undo the 2016 election- as usual. Looking forward to the witnesses and the acquittal.

Trump, who departs Washington on Monday night, said he's going to Davos to encourage businesses to invest in the U.S.

“We're now where the action is,” he said at a farmers' convention Sunday in Texas.

They must have a strip club in Davos...

“The president's work doesn't stop just because of the impeachment sham,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in an email.

As she accompanied Donnie at hole 17 at his golf club at Bedminster...

“Our country is the hottest country anywhere in the world,” he said at the White House last week. "There's nothing even close..”

No Donnie, that would be Australia, if you could read and had half a brain to figure that out...

Trump heads to Switzerland as just the third American president, after Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, to face a Senate impeachment trial.

And like at every international meeting he attends, expect every other world leader to laugh at him for the clown and fool he is...

Wear that big scarlet "I" on your tie with pride...

Knowing Trump, he just can't pass up an opportunity to intimidate, threaten and shake down some country's leader for something, anything. The man has no morals and his base loves him for it.

Looks like Nunes lied to the American public about his dealing with Parnas....multiple times.

Trump is off doing the business of the American people - as usual.

That could almost be a quote from 1984, except that George Orwell wouldn't have been serious.

Dems are off trying to undo the 2016 election- as usual. Looking forward to the witnesses and the acquittal.

Aren't you also looking forward to the next Republican House majority carrying on exactly the same way?

Aren't you also looking forward to the next Republican House majority carrying on exactly the same way?

Usually, the GOP wouldn’t get in the gutter like the Democrats.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

So basically business as usual? I thought he was going to be removed for his “crimes”. Nancy gonna have a hard time explaining to all the people she gave pens to why Orangeman is still there.

Trump is planning to make his first visit to India at the end of February, probably after the conclusion of his impeachment trial.

"Aren't you also looking forward to the next Republican House majority carrying on exactly the same way?"

Usually,

What you think is immaterial as the comment wasn't directed at you. Not to mention scarcely worth reading.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Oh, come on! Davos is about more abstract economic trends, not "drumming up business." His itinerary is telling:

The White House has not named any of the business leaders Trump is set to meet with. But he will hold talks with the leaders of Iraq, Pakistan, Switzerland and Iraq's self-governing Kurdish region

And it's an overnight trip: he'll barely have time to get in a plate of schnitzel.

Please. His handlers are panicked that he'll use his free time on MLK Day to tweet about his upcoming Senate trial so had to scramble to find some way to distract him for 24 hours. End of story. This is one expensive president.

What you think is immaterial as the comment wasn't directed at you.

But I have the right to comment on it. Lol

Not to mention scarcely worth reading.

Oh, I say that every single day about liberals.

*Oh, come on! Davos is about more abstract economic trends, not "drumming up business." His itinerary is telling: *

Honestly, where do you read this stuff?

*And it's an overnight trip: he'll barely have time to get in a plate of schnitzel. *

You mean, Fondue or Rösti, Trump is in Davos, Not Vienna.

Please. His handlers are panicked that he'll use his free time on MLK Day to tweet about his upcoming Senate trial so had to scramble to find some way to distract him for 24 hours. End of story. This is one expensive president.

And the haters will do everything in their power to make an excuse to continuously attack the President...keep trying...

Ita not a right, it’s an ability to post. Let’s try to be a bit accurate.

Which I did

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

We don’t need excuses to call Donny out,

Good because it’s not helping

Nope. You claimed posting here was a right, but it’s not

Ok, but all of us can post and make comments. Thanks

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Looks like Trump has given up on the defense that he's innocent and is transitioning to a position that his crimes don't rise to the level impeachment. Smart move since everyone knows he's guilty.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

bass: They don’t. Guess what? Watch closely at how fast this all gets wrapped up. I can tell you the outcome, the Democrats won’t win on this.

We've already won. Impeached President. Now the GOP can do their job of letting a guilty President go free. Even you don't support his actions here but you're a weak man who follows his leader.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Greta will swamp & devour trump with one stare.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I can tell whenever the liberals here are losing on an issue.

They stop talking about the topic and all their comments are only about other posters.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Trump fleeing once again, and I can't wait until the world leaders (actual leaders) laugh at him again and he runs from that, too. And I can't wait for him to try and turn Switzerland into a "Why are they doing this to me?" cry baby routine (giving even more fodder for the world to laugh), and then he returns home to his defense by so-called men who defend fellow sex-offenders and rapists.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Trump fleeing once again

Heh, if Obama was attending the Davo economic forum, guaranteed you wouldn't claim he is fleeing.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Just look at all the "you" and "your" statements above. Thats called talking about other posters.

How do you feel about the issue other than orangemanbad for anything he does? See post below, talking about me, then name calling and off topic comments, moron, impeached, criminal. How does that relate to the topic of the meeting in Davos?

Would you prefer the President not go to Davos? No one is "fleeing" stop being ridiculous.

He says, only talking about other posters. Dude, you guys are the masters at blatant deflection, and you know it. In fact, you guys think you NEED us to comment on your posts and not the topic because you canNOT bear the topic at hand -- that your president is not only a moron, but the first ever president impeached in his first term, and is a criminal.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

So explain to me if this was "fleeing" as well?

Nah,just handling his business, right? Putting aside that he was impeached for a "crime"- perjury. Not over an affair. But I digress.

During his impeachment over an affair with a White House intern, Clinton visited Japan, South Korea, Israel and the Palestinian Authority. He traveled to Jordan for King Hussein's funeral in February 1999, just a few days before he was acquitted by the Senate.

Comment all you like. But don't be too surprised if someone replies with "Who was asking you anyway?"

0 ( +1 / -1 )

We've already won. Impeached President.

Now how is that a win? Even impeached you’re not going to convict him or remove him and it won’t do anything as far as stopping him from proceeding with his agenda and his second term, but yeah, he’s got an impeachment on his record, ooooohh, wow...big deal, lol!

Now the GOP can do their job of letting a guilty President go free.

Guilty of what? He wasn’t even convicted on anything.

Even you don't support his actions here but you're a weak man who follows his leader.

I think liberals are weak for following the hate crowd.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I don’t really understand the overwhelming joy of the “but he is impeached” narrative. It’s doesn’t mean he has to leave, and actually helping him get re-elected.

its basically the “yo mama” of retorts. It only happened because there are more Dems in the House than Repubs.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Would you prefer the President not go to Davos?

Yes! I don't want him going anywhere internationally where he'll just embarrass himself and our country, and be laughed at by all the other leaders... Even Putin, his Master, laughs at him...

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/video-surfaces-of-putin-assad-trump-at-damascus

No one is "fleeing" stop being ridiculous.

True, if Donnie does flee anywhere its usually to a porn theater or a strip club...or maybe an all-night McDonalds...

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

You wouldn't understand.

I think I really do, it basically translates liberal logic to:what we couldn’t get him removed, but at least we got something even if it doesn’t amount to anything.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

No law against it

Ah, we know that, but I just hope and pray you guys will be ok for another 4 more years and this time, Trump won’t be so nice to the Democrats.

Thanks Nancy and Nadler ans of course his second term just wouldn’t be quite there without the help of Schiff, I adore you all.
