"the dumbest man on television, (CNN presenter) Don Lemon. "

Lemon is actually in a three way tie for dumbest presenter on television with Jim Acosta and Rachel Maddow.

Lebron is nauseating. He is truly a jackass.

-51 ( +5 / -56 )

As someone tweeted back, James and Lemon are handsome, slim, intelligent, and loved. Everything Donny wishes he had

38 ( +41 / -3 )

YES! As a long-distance runner, I have met people I would never have outside of my other circles. All that matters is reaching your targeted time in practice and somehow winning in competition - nothing else.

That Trump cannot seem to restrain the infantile impulses that apparently govern his brain is disturbing. America may well be facing the first president in office with actual dementia (well, Reagan was there, but that was in his final years, and he entrusted qualified people).

30 ( +33 / -3 )

Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, (CNN presenter) Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do

About a 5 on the trashometer.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Don't know the guy, but LeBron just opened a school for less fortunate kids. In doing that he has done something more useful to humanity than the man-child has done since becoming 'POTUS'.

31 ( +34 / -3 )

James described Trump as a "bum" following the furor.

Apt description, but a bit too polite? Trump the bum, sounds good. Come on Trump, keep your lovely tweets showing your intelligence coming. We cannot wait to see your daily updates showing how much you know about the world, diplomacy, relations, respect, governing a nation - the list goes on. It would be really entertaining if we eliminate the fact this clown in the WH divides a country, fuels hatred, was given the power to do this by an (unsuspecting, equal minded?) electorate that one of these days is going to be very sorry about the choices they made.

18 ( +19 / -1 )

LeBron James opens a free school for the disadvantaged.

Trump opens a fake university to swindle and take advantage.

Now Trump is pouting.

What a sad day in America.

27 ( +28 / -1 )

The man that has zero loyalty and will burn every bridge in order make a dime in Hollywood. Man, if there wasn’t a bigger sellout of an athlete....

-34 ( +3 / -37 )

So what has Trump said that was particularly racist?

The only comments I know about that could be construed as outright racist were against Mexicans when he was running for President.

The division in America is perpetuated by the practitioners of identity politics, mostly groups like BMA and the democrats. Now we have high ranking democrats endorsing identity politics like its a good thing.

Do these people want a civil war? Morons to the last.

-24 ( +4 / -28 )

bass4funk: "The man that has zero loyalty and will burn every bridge in order make a dime"

Says the guy who supports a man who puts Russia before his own nation and has already burned his bridges.

Matt Hartwell: "So what has Trump said that was particularly racist?"

You're kidding, right?

28 ( +30 / -2 )

Poor America. They've actually ended up with a president who has the mind of a spoiled child and who acts like one.

18 ( +21 / -3 )

You're kidding, right?

Nope. Maybe I am out of the loop. I mean actual racism, not just drama, hyperbole and the usual Trump twitter nonsense.

-27 ( +1 / -28 )

Some of the comments about Mexicans, Haitians and non American Africans are definately dodgy, but most of the comments highlighted in that article are either Trump playing the identity politics game or commenting on the circumstances of different ethnic groups. Around 1/4 of those comments are racist imo.

-25 ( +0 / -25 )

MH

So 1/4 of his comments being racist is somehow below the threshold for being considered racist?

24 ( +24 / -0 )

Around 1/4 of those comments are racist imo.

OK, so he is racist for 25% of the time. LMAO.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_views_of_Donald_Trump

18 ( +18 / -0 )

MH

So 1/4 of his comments being racist is somehow below the threshold for being considered racist?

I do stand corrected to an extent. He has certainly made racist comments based on the evidence, but I don't think he is the third anti-christ. Could America do better? Ah, yeah, but I am not seeing it among Republicans or the Democrats and the support for the far left among Democrats is putting the peddle down on America's demise.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

Says the guy who supports a man who puts Russia before his own nation and has already burned his bridges.

I think you need to stop reading MoveOn and Mother Jones. But what does Trump have to do with the idiot LeBron?

-20 ( +1 / -21 )

But what does Trump have to do with the idiot LeBron?

Why is he an idiot. And Trump is truly racist.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Trump’s war on black people continues.

17 ( +17 / -0 )

the idiot LeBron?

Lebron is worth almost a half Billion dollars.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

Trump’s war on black people continues

And his war with Jim Acosta, Shumer, Pelosi, Mika, Joe are because they’re white??

-16 ( +3 / -19 )

Trump is truly racist. His Muslim ban is proof for one.

16 ( +17 / -1 )

"Trump is truly racist."

"Trump’s war on black people continues."

You Trump haters should watch this and learn something:

Pastor says he faced backlash over meeting with Trump

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rPIiopJeAk

-20 ( +0 / -20 )

And his war with Jim Acosta, Shumer, Pelosi, Mika, Joe are because they’re white??

No, because he's a thin-skinned moron. What a fat, pathetic loser. At 70+ years old, he still whines on twitter as if he was a 15 year old.

18 ( +19 / -1 )

nishikat: "Trump is truly racist. His Muslim ban is proof for one."

I keep askin' ya how Trump's temporary travel restriction can be a "Muslim ban" when the largest Muslim country, Indonesia, is not affected by the restriction, but ya never answer...

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

"Trump is truly racist."

Yes

10 ( +12 / -2 )

I keep askin' ya how Trump's temporary travel restriction can be a "Muslim ban" when the largest Muslim country, Indonesia, is not affected by the restriction, but ya never answer...

“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.”

(Trump quote and proof, also his failure like his 100B dollar wall, also no Hillary arrest for her Pizza Gate that Alex Jones reported on)

Let me just make a slight correction of Trump's Muslim ban.

Should be Trump's failed Muslim ban.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

He has certainly made racist comments based on the evidence, but I don't think he is the third anti-christ.

Certainly not - Trump'd never settle for any but the first.

Seriously, though, I'm old enough at 53 to know old people, and they're a product of their time. Trump is likely no more or less racist than any of his peers.

But that doesn't matter; what does is his long-listed history of using people to achieve his own agenda. It matters naught who they are as long as they serve his purpose. Look at his relationship with the evangelicals, f'chrissake - he's about as Christian as I am Batman. But he'll use them if and only as long as they serve his purpose, and if they dare cross him, he'll not only throw them under the bus, he'll deliberately run back and forth over them multiple times with glee. One may argue about the morality of Trump's characture, but anyone who argues with the characteristic I've described above hasn't been paying attention.

Racists are useful for Trump now to consolidate his base, so he'll use them. That is all.

17 ( +17 / -0 )

No, because he's a thin-skinned moron.

Ok, so with LeBron he’s a racist, but with Whites, he’s a moron. I’ll give you this, liberals are very creative with excuses. Lol.

What a fat, pathetic loser. At 70+ years old, he still whines on twitter as if he was a 15 year old.

Fat, but happy with a lot of money, a hot wife, hot daughter and a jet with his name on it, not to mention, the most powerful man on the planet.

-17 ( +4 / -21 )

And his war with Jim Acosta, Shumer, Pelosi, Mika, Joe are because they’re white??

Did he refuse to rent to white people based purely on the color of their skin?

14 ( +14 / -0 )

40% of the U.S. was not ready for a black president. The Tea Party was driven by the hate for Obama, particularly the thought of him giving money to the poor (assumed racial minorities). The Tea Party--the self-proclaimed "silent majority"--endured for 8 years under Obama. Trump was part of that movement, and to this day, still insists that Obama was born in Kenya.

Fueling the flames of that hatred, and with help from entities like Cambridge Analytica, Trump was elected. His racist base now has a voice. They want to Make America White Again.

Obama ran on a campaign of Hope. Trump ran on a campaign of Hate.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

Did he refuse to rent to white people based purely on the color of their skin?

How did we get on this? Rent, off topic are? I think Laura Ingraham was right, LeBron should shut up, stay out of politics and do what he does best, dribble.

-20 ( +2 / -22 )

Trump likes dodgy racist material he finds on the net.

The racists in his base enjoy it and those with slightly more moral turpitude pretend it never happened or dismiss it as a mistake that anyone could make.

Playing to racist sentiments is tactically useful for Trump. Those who criticise such filth are dismissed as haters or fake news.

He can’t lose on this one.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

I don't care what it will be affecting to anyone with this news, I only think a man who is a president of US to twit this kind of this message means completely foolish attitude, and to see the other side CNN "never sit across" !? What the public check can be CNN or a Mr. D.T. Twitter message is a freedom to everyone, for me the people who is diligent/honest in his work and duty, it's another waste of time to give any attention to it! Holy sh**!

8 ( +8 / -0 )

The racists in his base enjoy it and those with slightly more moral turpitude pretend it never happened or dismiss it as a mistake that anyone could make.

im a big Trump supporter as well as others, are you implying I’m a racist?

Playing to racist sentiments is tactically useful for Trump.

For the media as even more so, it’s the ONLY thing they talk about or Russia or about some failed porn star.

-20 ( +0 / -20 )

im a big Trump supporter as well as others, are you implying I’m a racist?

No. Read what I posted.

I just think it was and is a moral failing not to call out Trump for behaving disgustingly by retweeting dodgy videos from a notorious racist group.

The criticism should have been and still should be hard and unequivocal. Anything less is very suspicious.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

I just think it was and is a moral failing not to call out Trump for behaving disgustingly by retweeting dodgy videos from a notorious racist group.

Retweeting that video just never seems to leave you, Jim. Get over it. Move on. Is done, it’s finished, it’s the past.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

im a big Trump supporter as well as others, are you implying I’m a racist?

Well, you have mentioned you think it’s ok to not rent to black people based purely on the color of their skin.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

Retweeting that video just never seems to leave you, Jim. Get over it. Move on. Is done, it’s finished, it’s the past.

Why, “because you say so?”

14 ( +14 / -0 )

Retweeting that video just never seems to leave you, Jim. Get over it. Move on. Is done, it’s finished, it’s the past.

That’s the moral failing I was talking about.

I cannot believe you can’t bring yourself to criticise him for this disgusting conduct.

Why?

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Why, “because you say so?”

whining won’t help, but as you say, I don’t know, maybe it just might.

-17 ( +0 / -17 )

Trump’s war on black people continues.

Absolute nonsense

-17 ( +2 / -19 )

"He's kind of used sport to... divide us and that's something I can't relate to, because I know that sport was the first time I ever was around someone white. You know?" said James, who on Monday opened an elementary school for at-risk youth in his native Akron, Ohio.

How dare this sportsperson who has done absolutely nothing in his life (excluding the working hard to be a success in his chosen field and then give back to the community so others can benefit) say anything about the president. Trump's response of "he's sooooo dumb!" (paraphrased) is clearly justified! Trump is showing in his humble response that he is in fact a uniting figure, not a dividing one, and it's only the people who won't join in the Trump chorus of everyone else is stupid that are actually dividing the community... as many of the commenters here so helpfully point out. Good on you Matt and bass for clearing all this up for us!

6 ( +9 / -3 )

I find that odd that the guy has no loyalty and is beyond selfish.

LeBron returned to Cleveland and gave them their first championship in over 50 years. Everybody knows he doesn't get along with the Cavaliers owner but stayed a couple more years anyway. The people of Cleveland aren't mad at him anymore. They understand

"Reactions to LeBron Leaving Cleveland: From Fans to Athletes and More - Fans responded swiftly on social media to voice their thoughts on Lebron James heading to Los Angeles."

https://www.thestreet.com/lifestyle/sports/cleveland-reacting-to-lebron-leaving-14640229

How Cleveland Fans Reacted To Lebron Leaving

The first time LeBron signed with a different team it left Cleveland fans in a state of chaos. People trashed James on social media and even posted videos of them burning his jersey in the streets.

But with time comes grace, and those fans have become more appreciative of LeBron and what he did for the city. Fans were obviously disappointed to see him go, but they responded more with wistful reminiscence of the good times rather than attack him for round two.

Yes I'm heartbroken that Lebron went to the Lakers, but he gave our city a championship we've been waiting on for over 50 years. He gave Cleveland something to be proud of. You will be missed @KingJames

— Michael Conor (@MichaelConor) July 2, 2018

We got to live the greatest moments of Cleveland sports history thanks to LeBron James! We got to see a Championship parade in our city. We got to be in the NBA Finals 4 years straight. I'm eternally grateful! #ThankYouLeBron

— Vern Thompson (@VernThompson) July 2, 2018

If you follow the NBA, don't be outraged for fans --especially Cleveland fans-- because they're not outraged

And LeBron even returned to his hometown Akron and opened up a public school for at-risk kids

"LeBron James opened a public school in Akron for at-risk kids"

https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2018/7/30/17629560/lebron-james-i-promise-school-akron

How does the I Promise School differ from any other school?

The school will operate with a longer-than-normal school year, with a focus on accelerated learning to bring kids up to speed who otherwise might be lagging. In addition, there is a focus on combating factors outside of the classroom that could cause children to struggle.

Services are available to help students deal from stress related to parents who are struggling to make ends meet. In addition there are activities to prevent the kids from having too much idle time and potentially getting into trouble.

The school also provides services to families, which include job placement assistance for parents and an on-site food bank that will allow parents to pick out foods they can prepare at home.

LeBron James often credits his bicycle as a huge factor in his childhood that gave him an escape from dangerous parts of his neighborhood and the freedom to explore — every student will receive a bicycle when they arrive.

The LeBron James Family Foundation has been involved in helping Akron and its surrounding areas for years. In 2015 he announced an initiative that would pay for more than 1,000 kids to attend college.

So if his own people whom he's supposed to be loyal to is not outraged, there's no reason for you nor anyone to be outraged for them - because they're not

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Too bad Big Orange Man doesn't have anything to do -- because his country is vanishing down the toilet.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

A disloyal person, a stupid person, an unpatriotic person, a loudmouth person etc can be of any race or color. Somehow when it is applied to black people it’s racist?

by calling out a person for their perceived deficiencies it’s actuslly treating them as an individual, not just using their race to classify them. So this is actually how people of all colors want to be treated, as a person, not as a member of a race group.

But on the other hand people like James the individual person have no problem using the “race” card when it suits them.

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

Black: by calling out a person for their perceived deficiencies it’s actuslly treating them as an individual, not just using their race to classify them

Trump used to mark rental applications from black people with a “C” to mean “colored” to make sure his company knew not to rent to them.

Is that what you mean by “using their race to classify them?”

14 ( +15 / -1 )

But on the other hand people like James the individual person have no problem using the “race” card when it suits them.

NBA stars (multiple) are now slamming Trump. Are they all Liberal? But it's OK, at least Hillary is not president and the stock market is up. Now Trump not only hates the NFL (and they hate him) It's also with the NBA.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Nice job applying societal norms of today to actions In the early 1970s. Do gay marriage next! how was that going in 1971?

Lets at least try to keep things in their historical contexts. If you have to go back to something that happened when half the voters weren’t even alive yet, you don’t have much of a point.

Trump used to mark rental applications from black people with a “C” to mean “colored” to make sure his company knew not to rent to them.

Is that what you mean by “using their race to classify them?”

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

Yes, the stock market/economy/jobs and Hillary not being President are more relevant to 99% of American citizens than our President’s relationship with members of sports leagues.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

and the support for the far left among Democrats is putting the peddle down on America's demise.

Matt, you mean like the big bad socialists like Bernie and Alexandria?

Heaven forbid people will be getting healthier and educated! /s

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Oh, in the case with Lebron James vs Donald Trump:

One guy puts poor and desperate kids in schools that he opened, while the other one puts them in cages while he deports their parents.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Trump’s war on black people continues.

Idiotic.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Do these people want a civil war?

why would they want that they dont hold all the guns to compensate for their insecurities,

Morons to the last.

Majority of the welfare uneducated lower class states are red, Most of the wealthy states with highest levels of investment and educated are blue, just saying.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

who on Monday opened an elementary school for at-risk youth in his native Akron, Ohio.

Wow. That's very commendable not worthy of any rebuke.

So there's no point in continuing comment when the lunatic 35% here and in the USA who are essentially a Trump cult at this point can never see with their own eyes

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Get over it. Move on. Is done, it’s finished, it’s the past.

I agree! , Obamas gone Hillary isnt POTUS if we could just get Trumpsters to understand that and not use it as a universal excuse for Trump every time they cant find a plausible one then we could probably get a decent debate from them instead of the revolving regurgitation.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Black:. Nice job applying societal norms of today

Um, Trump was sued under the laws of the 1970s. The judge didn't time travel to 2018, render his decision, then head back.

Try another way to excuse racism since that one isn't good anymore.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Black: the stock market/economy/jobs and Hillary not being President are more relevant to 99% of American citizens

The stock market isn't relevant to the working class. Wages are. And those have bren flat during Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan. But the investor class GOP members have convinced you it's a liberal thing.

Then they throw in a heap of cultural wars to distract the working class and keep them voting.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

LeBron called Trump a bum and Trump called him dumb. Is LaBron surprised that his insult was returned in kind? If so then he must indeed be fairly dumb. As for Don Lemon, he is a flat out racist - that would make him more ignorant than dumb.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

Nice job applying societal norms of today to actions In the early 1970s.

Those actions were already illegal when he did them (which is why he was punished for them) - hardly a societal 'norm'.

Nice attempt at justifying his racist behavior though.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Heh, my pointing out Trump's war on black people has infuriated a few posters here!

Must have hit close to the mark.

Nope. Nothing racist about DJT.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I think he wants that of everyone and the majority are White, such racism.

Lemon is one of the worst racist since Sharpton, the guy is horrible. But I had no idea that calling someone dumb is racist, but calling someone a bum is met with jubilation.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

such racism.

You've surprised me a few times recently with (somewhat) objective criticisms of Trump - I'm really surprised to see you acknowledged his racist tendencies here.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

More hate filled rhetoric from Agent Orange showing all that he is nothing but a race-baiting liar and a self-centered, money-grubbing fraud, with a loyal following that would make recently departed Shoko Asahara proud.

"I'm going to create a group, that contains roughly half of humanity, then call them all racists because there are some racists in that group".

Nice logic.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

If there's one thing the man hates more than criticism, it's black people making a stand. And if it's intelligent black people making a reasonable comment like James did - it's like a red rag to a bull.

Not only has Trump emboldened racists but he's given them a voice.

I hope this can be reversed.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Q: ”What do you think of Trump’s affection for racist ideas?”

A: ”Look at the stock market”

What we have here is a failure to be honest.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

If there's one thing the man hates more than criticism, it's black people making a stand.

Kanye did, Trump criticized him. He loved it.

And if it's intelligent black people making a reasonable comment like James did - it's like a red rag to a bull.

Ahhhh...So that’s why he appointed Ben Carson to HUD one of the smartest physician and surgeon in our time.

Not only has Trump emboldened racists but he's given them a voice.

Yup and Don Lemon and all the other racists on CNN and the media are hamming it up.

I hope this can be reversed.

You and me both.

Nice turn of phrase.

No, CNN just sunk, flunked, tanked and banked.

Boycott them if that is the case.

Been doing that for 16 years now.

Does anyone know if has Trump tweeted at them yet?

Amongst other things besides presenting the news, yes.

CNN retweets dodgy videos from racists? When did this happen? If they did, you were right to boycott them. Imagine just accepting this kind of behaviour.

Well done, bass. I’ll pat anyone on the back who will not accept this kind of conduct.

Could you post a link to a reliable report on this story? Don’t link to the dodgy racist videos themselves. I don’t want to look at filth like that on a relaxing Sunday morning.

Thanks in advance. N

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I have to agree that if CNN truly has sunk to the presidential level of retweeting dodgy videos from racists, they should be boycotted.

If.

Blacks for Trump!!!!!

Its written on the sign seen by billions......

I get it, it's on a daily basis, just Youtube it, I do it, it's easy. Have a great day relaxing.

America cannot afford an expanded public spending

Debt keeps growing under Trump and he wants to give farmers billions more. Also, who is going to pay for the 100B$ wall since Mexico won't? Trump is making it worse.

America cannot afford an expanded public spending,

Then how to pay for these outrageous healthcare costs? Even if you have insurance people still keep going bankrupt with those ridiculous out-of-network expenses that can cost 10s of thousands. My solution: Just don't pay for the medical bill and just walk out the hospital door. Perfectly legal and works for me. Let it be someone else's problem. That's American free choice and I make my free choice not to pay.

Democrat and Republican.

The dems did not invade Iraq for trillions.

Suggesting Trump is "at war" with black Americans is idiotic.

How about the war on Jesus according to the Republicans?

And yes Trump has made it worse

Then this means we should have voted for Hillary.

elsewhere without substantial tax increase

Personally I'd rather pay more for Medicare for all instead of that rip-off private insurance scheme. It would save money personally. Medicare works will for old folks.

Meanwhile The NY Times hires an actual racist to their editorial board. Liberals don’t care, say it’s “old” views she had waaaaay back in 2015. Plus she is racist against whites so seems that’s allowed.

Meanwhile The NY Times hires an actual racist to their editorial board. Liberals don’t care, say it’s “old” views she had waaaaay back in 2015. Plus she is racist against whites so seems that’s allowed.

I saw that story. There is a claim she was counter-trolling but I think she should have been booted out. I got the sense you think that too.

What do you think of people who retweet dodgy racist videos?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Suggesting Trump is "at war" with black Americans is idiotic. Has he given the order to execute on sight has he? Its gibberish. Its that sort of dumb hyperbole that turns traditional liberals against the far left that now seem to make up an increasing number of Democrats.

The phrase "at war" is used much too frequently by both sides, but I think far right conservatives were first to use it in the "war of Christmas" fraud. Maybe "at war" is a little too exaggerated, but its clear that Trump understands that many members of his base are hard core racists and white supremacists. I personally don’t think Trump is racist - but he’s callus and calculating enough to issue "dog whistles" to the many in his base that are - this latest comment on Lebron James being one. The more blatant one being "there are good people on both sides" when talking about the Nazi and White Supremacist rally in Charlottesville. That he is taking this strategy after we elected our first Black President, who he again dog whistled with is born in Kenya nonsense, speaks loudly to his lack of integrity.

What about black unemployment apparently all time lows? You would think leftists would cheer about that but oh no, its a foil in their attempts to constantly portray black Americans as victims. Conservatives on the other hand are perfectly happy to see more black Americans employed as it feeds into economic growth and cuts social welfare. Its obviously a win, but not for victim peddling democrats.

The overall state of the economy is a credit to mainly President Obama and his team, though the recent tax law passage has also contributed (though I opposed it with its huge tax breaks for the rich). One must remember that the worst contraction in our economy since the great Depression was during a Republican administration, due to their lax oversight of the investment banking industry.

Heaven forbid people will be getting healthier and educated! /s

People are not getting healthier as the Republicans continue to reduce and underfund the Affordable Care Act.

America cannot afford an expanded public spending, of the type you might find in northern Europe and elsewhere without substantial tax increases because you have a $21 trillion debt. Tax increases will erode the meager 2-3% GDP YoY that the U.S already has. The U.S is basically bankrupt, having accumulated a vast debt that shows no signs of being paired back. And yes Trump has made it worse in the short term at least. Too many wars and too much government for decades, Democrat and Republican.

And we get to the great paradox and No.1 hypocrisy of the past 50 years - Tea Party Republicans who ranted and raved about the US deficit and swore their future political careers on passing a balanced budget amendment showed they were just as craven as all the other politicians by voting for a tax break that takes the deficit to over a trillion dollars.

Fortunately, whether its a soft landing or a brutal one, the United States will go back to its roots and its founding with a dramatically reduced government in which the sort of victim and identity politics that the left likes to play gains zero traction because the game is up and the government no longer plays a central role in peoples lives nor spends vast sums of money attempting to appease one group over another.

Well, I hope the US will go back to a nation that serves as the morale leader of the free world, that supports and values its allies, and that stands up to, rather than coddles, dictators and tyrants.

The U.S will hit the reset switch.

I agree, Robert Mueller's conclusions will help with that.

Most famous people on twitter put statements such as “retweets don’t imply agreement/consent” or something similar.

I think retweeting someone else’s words or video can sometimes be to promote discussion without taking a position on the accuracy or validity of the content.

As an example, gays have been thrown off buildings by the religion of peace. If that actual video retweeted was fake/staged or whatever it doesn’t change that it has happened.

Would it be acceptable to have an voice actor doing Trump spouting idiocy and trash on a fake anti-Trump interview because that has happened before? Would you be okay with that?

I’d attack it on the grounds that it is false. Accuracy matters. Honesty matters.

Maybe I’m old-fashioned in that sense.

They do. That’s called Alec Baldwin on Saturday Night Love which liberals love.

Not Trump. He didn't put that at all.

What do you supposed, does he actually not agree with the racist videos he retweeted, and just forgot any kind of disclaimer or commentary on these disgusting videos he disagreed with? Or did he support them?

Most of us, evaluating him within the context of the other things he's said and done, think it's the latter.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I think he knows as we all know that the things portrayed in those videos are happening. Regardless of the accuracy of the actual videos retweeted.

I’ve never seen it, but I get the impression the audience know it isn’t Trump himself spouting idiocy and trash given that Alec Baldwin isn’t Trump.

So it’s okay to retweet inaccurate videos as long as they speak of an overall ‘truth’?

You should then have no problem with true fake news about Trump as that can speak to an overall ‘truth’.

The problem is you seem to react very badly to negative reporting about Trump, never mind fabricated stories.

You want accuracy regarding reporting about Trump but accept his inaccuracies in tweets. It goes without saying the president should have higher standards than the partisan press.

You do seem to have double standards here.

We don’t all know that. And if it’s happening why not post an actual video about it instead of retweeting racist videos?

no, I think what’s really happening is that you’re willing to excuse him for anything, and will make up justifications in your mind, even when there is nothing whatsoever to support your assertion. Like that time you tried to come up with some silly justification that he got caught on tape because he wanted to leave a paper trail, even though there was literally nothing to indicate that he wanted to leave a paper trail.

The justificantions you make up are piling up, and each one destroys your credibility a little further.

Don’t care about these videos you are talking about. Unrelated to Lebron James, his race or his anti-trump comments that caused a response to him from the President.

AKA "I don't want to talk about Trump doing racist things, as I only want to talk about how he's not racist"

Well here we go agan.

Another embarrassment for my fellow Republicans and party. :-(

Head down in shame shame while whispering (moron) under my breath repetitively as my Japanese colleges ask me whats wrong slick san?

The (MDM) as I call him now (mango dumpling moron) opens mouth and inserts foot with a quickness.

For Gods sake someone take away his phone!!!!!!!

How many African American do you know?

I know all lot of African Americans. My best friend hails from Chicago and is my neighbor here in Japan.

How many African Americans love basket ball and think Lebron James is the best thing since slice bread?

I would say allot. Wouldn't you? Common sense. Common logic.

How many African American are Democratic voters?

I would say allot. Wouldn't you?

Whats the impact and damage created by insulting Lemon or James?

I would say Melania was in damage control mode. Common sense. I do find the woman very gracious and genuine. Her work for children is to be recognized as solid.

Do you think he Trump? The M.D.M. was thinking of questions 1 thru 4 before his common sense went way of the dodo bird? And anger emotion took over?

MORON!

I apologize to all offended by the current President.

Yes, Christianity (as all religions) has a lot to answer for.

Not to mention violence against LGBT folk in Uganda, Jamaica, Russia. All predominantly Christian countries.

This is what happens when leaders denigrate "minorities" and make them a target, wherever in the world, whatever religion.

From the Melania, Article above comment. The feelings are still the same. I want to see Lebron drunk Trump!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

his anti-trump comments that caused a response to him from the President.

Now Trump followers are not allowed to watch NBA games, otherwise they are Liberal traitors. Soon they won't be allowed to watch any sports. Already they are not allowed to watch Hollywood movies. Any Trump follower who watches NBA is not a true Trump follower and will be excommunicated.

I want to see Lebron drunk Trump!

Heh! I hope he just ignores the petulant, paranoid man baby. He's a lot more loved and respected than the ogre ever will be.

What does that have to do with the idiot LeBron?

This is what happens when leaders denigrate "minorities" and make them a target, wherever in the world, whatever religion.

But if White people are denigrated it’s ok?

Heh! I hope he just ignores the petulant, paranoid man baby. He's a lot more loved and respected than the ogre ever will be.

The behavior by many of these athletes is Ogre-ish.

Trump followers are banned from watching any NBA games or they will become outcast Liberals.

the idiot LeBron?

Compared to Bill Gates Trump is a real idiot. Also Jeff Bezos. They are richer so they are smarter. They also didn't get rich off of Daddy's money.

seems like he has nothing to do but involved with every little things that did not go his way. hopeless!

If I were LeBaron, I would focus more on continuing to give back to his country and community, like he's been doing a great job of doing and less focus on Donny boy. LeBaron is a real inspiration, if you read his history.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

only idiots support Trump. He is an SOB and fascist. Does not care about anyone but himself. LeBron asked for it as he attacked Trump and anyone who says anything negative about him gets attacked. Trump only creates division and one can see the idiotic supporters even here on these posts.

The very notion of Swamp calling someone else 'dumb' is just hilarious!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Our presidents have fueled racial division in this country since 2009. Yes, it sucks. But in no way is it exclusive to Trump.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

No one better than the other:

"He's kind of used sport to... divide us and that's something I can't relate to, because I know that sport was the first time I ever was around someone white. You know?"

Trump is racist in a way of course. No need to even defend that comment.

But a black person who never ever met people white people and had to because of sports, what is he ? If he had not succeeded, he would still avoid whites because hey whites are whites...he is saying it is normal to be that way if some success does not come.

As bad as Trump then and the core of the US issue is embedded racial division from school then.
