Trump: I'll run America like my business

Oh dear !

22 ( +26 / -4 )

I'm assuming he's not talking about the ones he bankrupted.

25 ( +27 / -2 )

Clinton is already running America like it's her own business. Doing quite well, I gather, too.

-20 ( +3 / -23 )

“What Trump has done is to make it possible for people who had racist, sexist and all kinds of prejudices and bigotry to put them right out there,”

Trump running America like his businesses; does that mean he'll bankrupt the country? Why does he want to expand the US military? He has criticized Bush 41 and 43 for not taking the spoils of their wars. What does he want to use an expanded military for? Does he want to invade more countries to take lands as spoils to build Trump hotels and golf courses on?

Which international 'financiers' does he owe hundreds of millions of US dollars to, and why won't he release his income tax info?

What all is he hiding?

18 ( +19 / -1 )

Less than 2 weeks from the election and Trump takes a detour from his campaigning to look in on his hotel. That, my friends, is what is known as a conflict of interest.

You can judge the quality of the individual by the company he keeps.

Trump surrounds himself with the most despicable people in politics.

20 ( +21 / -1 )

Lisa Lerer was the reporter most googly-eyed in worship in the Hillary bobblehead video, so, not surprisingly, "Trump: I'll run America like my business" is another imbalanced piece from nominally-balanced AP under her name.

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/08/hah-ap-hack-says-not-horrified-hillarys-seizure-look-face/

HAH! AP Hack Says She Was Not Horrified During Hillary’s Seizure — BUT LOOK AT HER FACE!

https://youtu.be/kLoVjvBL5Po?t=6

Hillary turns into a Bobblehead LOL

Rather than hanging on every sound bite from Trump they can possibly spin downward, we really would like the AP to try tracking down some of the obvious news stories about Hillary, and by "tracking down" we don't mean BenSmithing them.

-22 ( +2 / -24 )

Trump has consistently run his business by screwing the little guy, in order to benefit himself and put more money in his own pockets.

So this is a case where I actually entirely believe him for once. I really do think he will run America like he runs his business.

16 ( +18 / -2 )

Rather than hanging on every sound bite from Trump they can possibly spin downward,

First of all, nobody's spinning Trump's comments downwards. They stand on their own as ridiculous nonsense.

Secondly, Trump wouldn't have gotten to this point in American politics without the media giving his bloviations free airtime. Remember, much of Trump's appeal (to those who are into him) is that he speaks off the cuff, 'says it like it is', and refuses to be 'politically correct'. It's pretty rich having Trump and his followers blaming the media for what comes out of his mouth.

16 ( +17 / -1 )

president of usa; running like his business. is he confused to that level?

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Ah, that's the plan.

Declare bankruptcy.

Actually not a bad plan since the U.S.A. is bankrupt anyway.

Ruptured by the banks!

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

Less than 2 weeks from the election and Trump takes a detour from his campaigning to look in on his hotel. That, my friends, is what is known as a conflict of interest.

And he's been clear that he won't remove his conflict of interest regarding his companies while he is president. He has every intention of having his children run them, rather than putting them into a blind trust, which would be the right thing to do.

Probably because he can't afford to have a 3rd party running his companies, and potentially finding out what he's hiding in his tax returns he's so careful to not release.

For a guy who calls her crooked so much, he certainly seems out to fill the moniker himself as best he can.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

If Trump could bankrupt three, not one, but three casinos the can easily bankrupt the country. He is a loser and I think all of you know this by now.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Seems like cherry picking to me if you are going to point out a few flaws compared to hundreds of successful businesses

Compared to many English teachers in Japan, Im sure most of you have great reviews from your students, but I also imagine if you have been doing it for any period of time, there was also a few students that didnt like your class. Good thing your companies dont harshly review your failures as harshly as the bias media scrutinizes Trump.

-19 ( +2 / -21 )

Show us your tax returns. Otherwise we don't know what you mean by that.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Seems like cherry picking to me if you are going to point out a few flaws compared to hundreds of successful businesses

His successful businesses are either him licensing his name on someone else's work, or built by ripping off the little people under him by making an agreement to pay them X, then telling them after the fact he's only going to pay them a fraction of that, and they can sue him if they don't like it. Which of course they can't afford to sue him, since he hasn't paid them.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Trump knows how to use the loopholes and would boom America again.

Just because he went bust by using a loophole in the system, doesn't mean he is bad.......Smart.

So long at voted don't get found in school sheds like bush voted did, trump should win.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

I don't know if running the America like one of Trumps business' would be good or not but it beats the heck out of running it like one of Hillary's Libyan embassies.

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

And he's been clear that he won't remove his conflict of interest regarding his companies while he is president. He has every intention of having his children run them, rather than putting them into a blind trust, which would be the right thing to do.

And? Hillary said, she wasn't going to step away from her foundation or close it or get someone else unrelated to run it, but in light of the Wikileaks revelation that might significantly change. No to be fair, both Trump or Hillary need to remove themselves in order to avoid the optics of having a conflict of interest.

-22 ( +1 / -23 )

Hillary said, she wasn't going to step away from her foundation or close it or get someone else unrelated to run it

What are you talking about? She has clearly said she is going to step away, as is Bill, to remove any hint of impropriety.

it beats the heck out of running it like one of Hillary's Libyan embassies.

You mean the embassies that were severely understaffed due to republican budget cuts, leading directly to the deaths of the four employees at Benghazi?

15 ( +18 / -3 )

Trump knows how to use the loopholes

No he doesn't. It's his lawyers and accountants who know the loopholes. Maybe you should vote for them in the election.

The key to this story is, "I'll run America like MY Business". His business. Not a business where the people of America are the bosses, but one where he's the boss and everyone works for him. Sounds like paradise!

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Lol to the one liner.More into the ground like it.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Trump: I'll run America like my business

Like your follicular denial, more like.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Trump: I'll run America like my business

I hope so. I cannot wait for this election to be over. When Trump becomes President we can finally get back to life as we know and watch the American dream come alive again. TRUMP/PENCE 2017

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

America, YOU'RE FIRED!

5 ( +7 / -2 )

And lose a billion in one year! And stiff people, either by not paying them owed money or giving them an 'education' at extortionate prices.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

What are you talking about? She has clearly said she is going to step away, as is Bill, to remove any hint of impropriety

And Chelsea as well?

You mean the embassies that were severely understaffed due to republican budget cuts, leading directly to the deaths of the four employees at Benghazi?

....and through her policies she implemented and instrumental in creating the Arab Spring which led to the ouster of Mubarak and the Death of Gaddafi as well as ambassador Stevens.

If Trump could bankrupt three, not one, but three casinos the can easily bankrupt the country. He is a loser and I think all of you know this by now.

But he made his money back, had one of the most successful TV shows, merchandise worldwide 12 million followers on Twitter, not to mention the 67 million strong supporters, silent voters he already has, so even if he loses, he created a movement that is growing day by day, from union workers, blue collar workers. So all in all not bad for a loser.

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

Ah, that's the plan. Declare bankruptcy.

The funny thing is that earlier in the campaign (during the Republican primaries IIRC) he, perhaps inadvertently, declared that this was exactly his plan. He announced that his plan was to "re-negotiate" Americas public debt. What he didnt appreciate at the time was that, while in private business you might be able do that, in government what he was proposing amounted to defaulting on Americas debt obligations, which is effectively a governments way of declaring bankruptcy.

When actual economists pointed this out, he stopped saying that he would renegotiate the debt. The episode illustrates that he does intend to take his screw-everybody approach to business to government, and also that this approach is totally useless in government.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Except looks like he won't get the chance. Hilliary will win and we get 8 more years of crony capitalist "democracy" and foreign warmongering.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

8 more years of crony capitalist "democracy" and foreign warmongering

In contrast to Donald Trump's wanting to further expand the (world's largest) military? Get real!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

When actual economists pointed this out, he stopped saying that he would renegotiate the debt. The episode illustrates that he does intend to take his screw-everybody approach to business to government, and also that this approach is totally useless in government.

Speaking of which, since Obama will leave us with an over $10 Trillion deficit and so far has NOT addressed the debt he greatly added to, how would Hillary cut the debt? I mean, besides imposing more taxes on the middle class which will happen in order to dish out more entitlements. By the way, how will Hillary tackle the anger of a vast majority of Americans that will get their new adjusted expensive rate planes for Obamacare next year?

-19 ( +1 / -20 )

For Trump, generally "business" is some shiny object that catches his eye, so he grabs for it with no knowledge of what to do next, then quickly gets bored and lets it founder. Trump Shuttle, his casinos, Trump Mortgage, Trump University - he runs in headlong with no prep, subsequently running face-first into the wall of reality, loses interest, and then blames the failure on others.

Sounds a lot like his presidential campaign. Oh, the horror a Trump Administration would have been.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

"I'll run America like my business!"

Oh my...

9 ( +11 / -2 )

"But he made his money back, had one of the most successful TV shows, merchandise worldwide 12 million followers on Twitter, not to mention the 67 million strong supporters"

67 million supporters? Are you sure? That equals 33.5 million deplorables. That's depressing.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

67 million supporters? Are you sure? That equals 33.5 million deplorables. That's depressing.

Comments like that coming from lying progressive liberals is a greater badge of honor than hearing it from cowardly Washington establishment conservatives. LMAO

-21 ( +2 / -23 )

@plasticmonkey,

The media has been mostly negative towards Trump. They haven`t helped his campaign at all.

Secondly, he made himself available for interviews and events. Clinton was usually hiding.

@Strangerland,

Too much anger.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

They haven`t helped his campaign at all.

That's not what everyone was saying during the primaries.

Too much anger.

After you people have spread lies, and been purely obstructionist, then choose as your leader a guy who is bigoted, sexist, and anti-American? I'd say not enough anger.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

@Bass

I'm interested in the 67 million followers and what you mean by followers. Where are you getting that number from?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Comments like that coming from lying progressive liberals is a greater badge of honor than hearing it from cowardly Washington establishment conservatives. LMAO

Yeah, the bigots, homophobes, racists and misogynists take pride in it.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

@Strangerland,

We could say the exact same things for Clinton. In fact, even worse.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Speaking of which, since Obama will leave us with an over $10 Trillion deficit and so far has NOT addressed the debt he greatly added to, how would Hillary cut the debt?

A $10 trillion deficit would be catastrophic, surely you mean debt, not deficit?

I mean, besides imposing more taxes on the middle class which will happen in order to dish out more entitlements.

Its notable that the debt/deficit hasnt been much of an issue for either side in this election, I dont even think it came up in the debates (maybe in passing)?

If that is your main issue though Trump is no better than Clinton - cutting taxes without any corresponding plan to cut spending (Im sure hes down with cutting some entitlements, but he`s also on record protecting the most expensive ones and his signature policies on immigration will come with huge price tags) is just going to leave the country with more public debt.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

so hell basically run the US economy into bankruptsy all the while skimming the top so he can make himself personally richer. When the US economy is shot he can retire to his tower and count his cash.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Speaking of which, since Obama will leave us with an over $10 Trillion deficit and where do you think much of that deficit came from! the wars that the Bush family started

2 ( +4 / -2 )

I'm interested in the 67 million followers and what you mean by followers. Where are you getting that number from?

Mostly from middle America, the largest part of America that liberals as well as Washington forgets.

Yeah, the bigots, homophobes, racists and misogynists take pride in it.

After reading hours of Wikileaks, there really isn't that much difference between Democrats and Republicans when it comes to those points.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

so it will be

Trump: I'll ruin America like my business

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"I'm interested in the 67 million followers and what you mean by followers. Where are you getting that number from?"

"Mostly from middle America, the largest part of America that liberals as well as Washington forgets."

This isn't a difficult question. From which source are you getting the 67 million figure and what do you mean by supporters? Do you mean 67 million people are going to vote Trump?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

and where do you think much of that deficit came from! the wars that the Bush family started.

Yes, and I'm talking about the 12-16 Trillion Obama added to that deficit. So much for Obama economics....

-19 ( +0 / -19 )

Trump: I'll run America like my business.... into the ground

Trump: I'll run America like my business.... evicting blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims

Trump: I'll run America like my business... go through 4 bankruptcies until no bank will make any more loans ensuring the US economy is completely crippled.

Trump: I'll run America like my business .... without pesky things like facts, science, or truth

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Into the ground and into bankruptcy?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump: I'll run America like my business.... into the ground

It pretty much already is.

Trump: I'll run America like my business.... evicting blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims

If the Democrats would stop handing out entitlements and promote more self-reliance, No need to be evicted if they have a good job and a decent education.

Trump: I'll run America like my business... go through 4 bankruptcies until no bank will make any more loans ensuring the US economy is completely crippled.

A 1.8 GDP is kinda hobbling along. Not exactly healthy at all!

Trump: I'll run America like my business .... without pesky things like facts, science, or truth

From the Wikileaks it seems like a lot of liberals don't care about those things as well, but if the base likes it.....

-22 ( +0 / -22 )

Yes, and I'm talking about the 12-16 Trillion Obama added to that deficit. So much for Obama economics....

It must be extremely comforting to live in a world in which only the dollars of debt incurred under a Democratic president matter, while those incurred under a Republican president don`t matter.

More to the point though, I highly doubt that the current debt level would have been significantly different if McCain or Romney had beaten Obama. Its increase is almost entirely the result of the fallout from the 2008 financial crisis and the need to finance the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the costs of which would have burdened any administration regardless of party.

And even more to the point, how is this relevant to the current election? Neither Clinton nor Trump has made the debt/deficit an issue and neither have presented plans to reduce them. Based on their overall policy proposals Trump`s is clearly the worst from that perspective. His tax cuts alone are going to reduce government intake by about half a trillion dollars per year and he has identified no areas of spending cuts where that will be made up, plus he is proposing massive programs that will require huge expenditures of Federal dollars. These are going to radically worsen Federal finances if actually implemented.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

I love it! Trump TOTALLY walked into that one with his comments, and Clinton could have nailed it more perfectly. Trump will treat America like his buiness? Absolutely! -- outsource the nation, not pay the workers, go bankrupt, make more money than ever off it while the nation's people get nothing for it and in fact pay the bill. Hahaha... classic!

Just look how desperately Trump's few remaining supporters are struggling desperately to deflect: "Trump will run it like his business?/ W-w-w-w-well ObamahillarybillclintontheliberalsdemocraticMSM are to blame!"

Hahaha... classic! Sooooooo classic.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Yeah, the bigots, homophobes, racists and misogynists take pride in it.

After reading hours of Wikileaks, there really isn't that much difference between Democrats and Republicans when it comes to those points.

Yeah, the only difference being the democrats lack of bigots, homophobes, racists and misogynists.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Trump TOTALLY walked into that one with his comments, and Clinton could have nailed it more perfectly. Trump will treat America like his buiness? Absolutely! -- outsource the nation, not pay the workers, go bankrupt, make more money than ever off it while the nation's people get nothing for it and in fact pay the bill. Hahaha... classic!

Haha almost makes you wish there was another debate.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Yes, and I'm talking about the 12-16 Trillion Obama added to that deficit. So much for Obama economics....

But the Congress sets the budget, of which the Republicans control. So you're repudiating the GOP again.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Equating America to a "business" that can simply be "run" is a grave insult to all Americans at best and mindblowing incompetence or even deliberate national sabotage at worst. Either way, it is essentially treason to support this shocking fool if you're an American, the damage he has already done to his country will last for at least 30 years and I really can't see any conclusion that doesn't involve violent conflict

5 ( +6 / -1 )

bass4funkOCT. 27, 2016 - 11:49AM JST

From the Wikileaks it seems like a lot of liberals don't care about those things as well, but if the base likes it.....

You think that whatever his base likes is all that matters to get elected? And you accuse other people of living in fantasy worlds?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Maybe he will really run it like his business -- already in Pence's state they are rigging the election by blocking more than 45,000 Black people from voting, gettign police to shut down block registration drives (not white ones, though!) and seizing all documents. It's just like Pence did to win his current position, and just like the Republicans are banking on to keep the race tighter in certain areas.

As Trump is blatantly racist in all his dealings, so here we see he would run things that way, too.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

And this is the problem with politicians.

Why do they think they have to "run the country?"

The best thing they can do is not run anything and let "the country" run itself.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

He couldn't run a goldfish shop if his life depended on it.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Trump never said 'I'll run America like my business'

What he did say that his hotel had been completed on time and under budget!

How he can be criticized for being a success, creating jobs and adding to society is mind boggling!

Maybe all the naysayers here want more empty "yes we can!" slogans instead of real progress?

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

How he can be criticized for being a success, creating jobs and adding to society is mind boggling!

Where has anyone ever criticized him for any of these things?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Trump: I'll run America like my business

...into the ground

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Just about all of his opponents, or don't you watch the news?

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Hilarious all the lefties on here talking about bankruptcy. They either don't understand the laws, don't care about the debt, or are part of the free shit army.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

"How he can be criticized for being a success, creating jobs and adding to society is mind boggling!"

Noble things indeed.

Shafting people owed money for work done is deplorable.

Praise when it's due. Criticism when it's due.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

And you Strangerland - you're a pretty vociferous critic too......

'His successful businesses are either him licensing his name on someone else's work, or built by ripping off the little people under him by making an agreement to pay them X, then telling them after the fact he's only going to pay them a fraction of that, and they can sue him if they don't like it. Which of course they can't afford to sue him, since he hasn't paid them.'

If Trump were as fraudulent and corrupt as you say then he'd be in jail, no?

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

If Trump were as fraudulent and corrupt as you say then he'd be in jail, no?

The fact that you can't see the hypocrisy in a statement like this boggles the mind. Trump isn't in jail therefore he must not be a criminal...? Hillary also isn't in jail but you scream from the roof tops about her being a criminal. So, right back at you...

If Hillary were as fraudulent and corrupt as you say then she'd be in jail, no?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

"If Trump were as fraudulent and corrupt as you say then he'd be in jail, no?"

Don't the rightists usually answer with something along the lines of "laws are for peasants" when asked the question about why Hillary isn't in jail?

Let's agree that the rich and powerful get away with things that peasants would be crucified for, eh? The question of paying taxes springs to mind.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

"How he can be criticized for being a success, creating jobs and adding to society is mind boggling!

Maybe all the naysayers here want more empty "yes we can!" slogans instead of real progress?"

How is not paying money owed, or taxes, adding to society? It's exactly not that. If he's happy to earn off the back of goods and services provided by legitimate businesses and the state, he should be just as happy to contribute. Anything less is not the standard expected of a leader who seeks to maintain respect. Donald Trump has earned his criticism, he's demonstrably odious.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

borrow $10 trillion dollars.

pay it back with 5 years at a cost of 1.8 trillion extra debt.

We can make 8% pa and can make trillions after 5 years of making money of the $10 trillion dollars.

4.That's $320 billion made pa after the 5 years of saving it up.

That crates 32 min wage jobs or 16 million jobs at double the min wages.

We will go to $20 trillion dollars debt in 5 years "but" will make 2 million 2 many jobs or 2 million extra jobs that can't be filled.

7 We make and save money to payback the debt.

Money saved on gov payment's. Money made on tax work wages. Money made from extra goods being sold = big biz and small biz boost in sales. Money cut back from the $1.2 trillion big biz workers help scam.

The cut's and saving's can be $1 - $2 trillion pa, paying back debt within 10 to 20 years.

By all means reply how this won't work???

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

It must be extremely comforting to live in a world in which only the dollars of debt incurred under a Democratic president matter, while those incurred under a Republican president don`t matter.

Not at all, it's just that Obama is president (NOW) and hasn't done anything about the CURRENT debt under HIS administration.

Yeah, the only difference being the democrats lack of bigots, homophobes, racists and misogynists.

Lack? Wow! Ok, so let's really now deal with reality...

http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/wikileaks-just-destroyed-hillary-racist-email-surprise1/

But the Congress sets the budget, of which the Republicans control. So you're repudiating the GOP again.

So what your are saying then is from 2008 until 2014 the Dems had full control of congress and the budget. After the GOP took back the Senate, they were to cowardly to stand up to Obama, spineless as they are. So since they gave in to Obama and the debt grew exceptionally under his administration, again, he will leave office without addressing it, kicking the can down the road.

You think that whatever his base likes is all that matters to get elected?

No, not at all, also he doesn't have the media or the goons the Democrats have to make it happen.

And you accuse other people of living in fantasy worlds?

After reading a ton of Wikileaks, I think a lot of Hillary supporters are living in a fantasy world.

After reading a ton of Wikileaks, I think a lot of Hillary supporters are living in a fantasy world.

That's what you were continually saying before you read the Wikileaks as well. Not much of a riposte, really.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

pointofviewOCT. 27, 2016 - 10:52AM JST @plasticmonkey,

The media has been mostly negative towards Trump. They haven`t helped his campaign at all.

This is the view that has the world with their jaws dropping in disbelief. That some people really believe that it is the media that is 'making' Trump look a fool when it is blindingly obvious to the vast majority of people that all the media is doing is reporting on what Trump says and does. Are they biased against him? Given the man's character who isn't going to comment negatively - there is nothing positive to report on!

He's not intelligent, not wise, not experienced, rude, childish, selfish, says stupid things constantly and not only has no understanding of almost anything he refuses (or is unable) to educate himself.

And you wonder why the media is negative towards him. Books will be written about the mysterious psychology of Trump followers for years to come.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

That's what you were continually saying before you read the Wikileaks as well. Not much of a riposte, really.

At this point I could care less what liberals try to fabricate and want to spoon feed us and try to make it as if everyone else is stupid and the libs are the smartest people in the room and they aren't.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

At this point I could care less what liberals try to fabricate and want to spoon feed us and try to make it as if everyone else is stupid and the libs are the smartest people in the room and they aren't.

Exactly. Why can't liberals write sentences of grammatical excellence like that masterpiece you just wrote? Dey iz dum, rite?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

No thanks, Orange Chump. That is EXACTLY what we are afraid of ! GO HILLARY ! "Madame President" - 1/20/17 It's HER time.! And just about damn time if you ask me ! I'm lovin' it !

6 ( +6 / -0 )

It's HER time

I'm sure the Syrians and Yemen's will be real pleased that another warmonger is in the Oval Office.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Run it like he does his businesses? By stiffing creditors and contractors, and declaring multiple bankruptcies to place the financial burden of his failures on the backs of those who pay their taxes so as to take advantage of the corporate welfare baked into the US tax code? Thanks, anyway, but spare us the additional insult and misery.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

@bass try to make it as if everyone else is stupid...well not really just the Trump supporters.. not saying that all Trump supporters are stupid there are the exceptions few and far between though..

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Hillary is a weapons salesman. Live with that you baby killers.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

When Trump could not repay debt, he has declared bankcrancy. In US, bankcrancy does not mean borrower is totally penniless. Being bankcraft means did not need to pay tax and debt. It could buy time for restricted ting business,

According Trump strategy, US should default debt owed to foreign souverign funds. He misled bond university students. US should misled creditors too. It may be extremely risky for market and US inflation.

Reality is US foreign debt is clicking time bomb which will explode anyway. There is no magic wand for that.

Therefore Trump will make America grope and broke together.

"At this point I could care less what liberals try to fabricate"

I think all of the 67 million Trump supporters you mentioned would agree.

Is it worth me checking this one or should I put it in the same column as your non existent, non-partisan historians claiming outrageous things? It's just the number is absolutely yuuuuge.

Run America like his businesses? He means bankrupt them and sell off the name to the highest bidder?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Talk about turning democracy on its head: The Repubs in the Senate and their think-tank minions are discussing now permanently blocking any Clinton nominee to the Supreme Court in the (increasingly slight) chance that they retain control of the Senate. Kind of makes me hope they do: It would be interesting to watch as the Supremes dwindle from eight to seven to six.... Considering how long it will likely be before the Repubs regain the White House, it could go down to even one (think of that! - one elderly Justice deciding all of these cases by his/herself!) and, conceivably, to zero, in which case the third branch of government goes extinct.

That seems to be cool with McCain and Cruz, though. Sheesh. These people should not be trusted with the TV remote. Fortunately, it seems likely the Dems will regain control and push through the "nuclear option" disallowing fiibusters for Supreme Court nominations. Democracy wins again!

I'll ruin America like my business!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I have to admit that upon re-reading the details of the article, and searching around a bit on the internet, I mis-posted based on the incorrect title of this article. Trump didn't say he would run the country like his business, he said that 'under budget and on schedule' was '“a metaphor for what we can accomplish for this country.'

Don the Con says enough bad stuff, and does enough bad stuff, that his words shouldn't need to be twisted to make him look bad. It's just as sleazy when the left does it as when the right does.

Alistair: "Oh dear"

Yeah, oh, dear, having more women in top management positions must be a bad thing, lol.

serendipitous: "I'll ruin America like my business"

Yeah, he's had some bankruptcies, it's not unheard of in business, lol

DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Hillary: I'll run America my slave.

Probably the best thing to happen to any country today... run it like a business.

Economically for running the government, there is one important financial prerequisite. It must be run on a CASH basis (no credit / deficit financing) with a balanced annual budget.

Otherwise, his proposed 27 priority changes which is rational, practical and workable may work, provided Congress and the public along with the opposition allow those ideas to be implemented. That is an extremely difficult uphill battle for him. There will be much open confrontation all over. However, that is exactly what the USA needs to wake up the nation. It will be much better than management behind closed doors as it has been going on for many decades.

Trump's utopian future will soon be past.

Wake up and evidence what is happening. All that matters is current status and the idiocy that got you here. Obama's Affordable Care is and was from the beginning about profiting the Pharma and insurer lobbyist. Making it a point to tax-penalize responsible citizenry should they not have coverage, even though that absence might well due to indiscriminate and unjustifiable rising cost that individual could no longer afford. Further isolating the field where coverage could be solicited by closing off states to markets, not allowing the citizen access to the Amerikan free-enterprise system. Obama campaigned on change. For whom has this change benefit. Joe Blow had a premium spike of $400.00 this year. Its cheaper to take the tax penalty and burden my healthy neighbor that can probably afford to pick up my tab for another year...at least.

Donald J. Trump already has another VOTE (I took advantage of early Mail-in vote).

If he WINS, he will make HISTORY.

With 96 % of the Liberal (Democrat) media BIAS, it is indeed an Uphill battle but I pray & hope for the sake of the country and the world that he WINS !!!

GO TRUMP !!!!!

The comment was mae by Trump. Hillary did not. He has real estate business and in New Jersey, he was bankrupted like other Casino owners which believed promotion of State officials, Only Caesars created Casno their from Vegas and its New Jersey business was bankrupted. Right now, his Trump Hotel on Strip. Is doing fine. Not like others here but any casinos here make money anyway. Just like other casinos, hig,y income jobs such as table game dealers are full with Southeast Asian immigrants. I think Asians are good with Marh so that is why we don't see discrimztion here and Trump might mean be does not discriminate.

So Americans are going to be treated like his employee?

That doesn't sound good.

Hillary: “Donald Trump is the poster boy for everything wrong with our economy,”

One of Hillary's stupider comments. Last time I checked, Trump was employing thousands of people whilst Hillary hasn't created one private sector job.

And, oh my...

" Texas voters: Trump on ballot changed to Clinton " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GNAks2tBvU

This is one reason why Trump said "I'll keep you in suspense."

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

..on the other hand, as President, he can't really bankrupt a country that's already bankrupt....

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

It means he will bankrupt America 4 times.

One of Hillary's stupider comments. Last time I checked, Trump was employing thousands of people whilst Hillary hasn't created one private sector job.

No, she was spot on the money. He outsources his work, underpays contractors, renegs on deals paying less than he agreed to, doesn't pay health insurance to most of his workers, doesn't pay his taxes etc. He is definitely the poster child.

And your comment that Hillary hasn't created one private sector job is wrong. The Clinton foundation is the private sector, and it has employees.

How many times did Clinton lie?

Here, allow me to provide factual evidence that Trump lies way more than Clinton. (Oh but wait, Trump supporters don't 'believe in facts' right?)

True statements Trump: 13 Clinton: 69

False statements Trump: 106 Clinton: 28

Now, who is the real lier?

It is amazing that this article is still up? It is clearly mistitled! Trump believes the system is rigged and it seems that he is correct. Clearly, disinformation is rife in the campaign to discredit him.

But with journalists in general measured at 91% hostile commentary aimed at Trump, and 96% of journalists' donations measured going to Clinton, how did politifact find a 50/50 balance of journalists that would provide valid fact checks?

And, "politifact.com":

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PolitiFact.com#Analysis_of_PolitiFact.27s_ratings

... A writer with the right-leaning Human Events claimed that after looking at Politifact's work on a case-by-case basis a pattern emerged whereby Politifact critiqued straw man claims; that is, "dismissed the speaker’s claim, made up a different claim and checked that instead". The conservative magazine noted Politifact's use of language such as "[although the speaker] used [a specific] phrase […] in his claim, [it] could fairly be interpreted to mean [something more general that is false]". Human Events cited Bryan White's PolitiFactBias blog to state that "from the end of that partnership [with the Congressional Quarterly] to the end of 2011, the national PolitiFact operation has issued 119 Pants on Fire ratings for Republican or conservative claims, and only 13 for liberal or Democratic claims". ...

Um, facts aren't subjective. They provide the reasoning behind each and every fact check.

Trump is the man.

Borrow $10 trillion for 5 years making $1.8 trillion dollars debt. After that 5 years they will have saved up trillions of dollars.

The amount they saved up is going to make them interest of $320 billion pa. That creates 32 million min wage jobs.

America has 14 million unemployed i think, so we double the min wage rate and employ 16 million people.

Money is paid back in 6 years time and Americas debt repaid back within 10 - 15 years time.

no more gov handouts extra work pay tax from million of people. boost in sales from 16 million more people working = tax money rise on biz tax. can cut a big % of the big biz scam that pays there money to hire people.

Them cut's will pay back Americas debt.

Don't like it? REPLY WHY

Wow! some incredibly hateful left wingers on here. So sad.

Interesting how touchy you guys get when receiving it, after having delivered it for so many years.

I hope you're not expecting us to feel bad because we've started playing your game.

Stranger: Interesting how touchy you guys get when receiving it, after having delivered it for so many years. I hope you're not expecting us to feel bad because we've started playing your game.

I thought the opening salvo was Bill Clinton sending a person in a cigarette suit to heckle George Bush the elder. When VP candidate Al Gore was actually the one person in the presidential election with a tobacco farming background. Kind of like the current campaign, take your candidate's weakness and accuse the opponent of it to distract attention away from your candidate.

Or maybe that was the first time I noticed stuff like that. Don't remember what went on the 80's. I think I've read both Reagan and Carter were no pushovers, maybe both their campaigns tried some dirty tricks, but I've forgotten the details.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

I have no idea who started it, but the Republicans turned it into a new thing in the past decade.

Fox "News", Brietbart - they've sold you guys lies and anger, and now you're getting all pissy that we're playing the game you guys have been playing so long.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Strangerland: Fox "News", Brietbart - they've sold you guys lies and anger ...

But it's sweet as milk and honey if the MSM is shoveling it, right?

Yes, I could see how Breitbart could trigger the SJWs to exhaustion (not Fox, maybe it used to be right-wing but now doesn't seem very bright). But Breitbart is just the other side of the coin from NYT and WaPo, etc., except there's only one in Breitbart's league as opposed to almost the entire MSM, Breitbart's usually got links and pastes from third parties and attributions to back up their stories, if information is iffy they identify it as such, as opposed to those other guys on the other side. They are following the stories all the other media should be but that the others only pay lip service to following or, more usually, BenSmithing them. And they actually have a wide variety of political stories on their front page, where the MSM has the same set of 'bad Trump' with a few 'good Hillary' stories sprinkled in, talking points distributed by their masters at HRCC, etc.

Just taking the news media as a single abstracted entity, you should be consulting Breitbart for half your news input and all the rest of the media for the other half. Or you'll be walking around in circles with one huge leg and one withered leg.
