Donald Trump warned on Tuesday of "bedlam" in the United States if he is put on trial,

Should have thought of that before breaking the law over and over. Pretty desperate.

No president should be above the law.

29 ( +31 / -2 )

"They feel this is the way they're going to try and win," he said.

This has nothing to do with the presidential election. It is about the crime you committed, Trump.

"And that's not the way it goes. It will be bedlam in the country."

Don't be such a drama queen. There will be no bedlam. Some Trump supporters will be upset, but that's what you get when the guy you support is crooked.

Judge Florence Pan, a Biden appointee, asked Sauer whether a president could be criminally prosecuted for ordering the assassination of a political rival by Navy SEAL special forces.

> Sauer insisted that even in this hypothetical case, a president could only be tried if first impeached and convicted by Congress.

Trump stacked the courts and directed by operatives like Bannon worked to promote perversely literal interpretations of constitutional law to condone all manner of old school brutality on the American people.

Of course Trump rose to political prominence trying to disqualify a sitting falsely on legal grounds, President, Barack Obama.

Trump stacked the courts and directed by operatives like Bannon worked to promote perversely literal interpretations of constitutional law to condone all manner of old school brutality on the American people.

So when the Democrats subvert the law and use our intel agency to go after a former president and other political leaders not a problem, undermining the will of American voters is just acceptable? Hmmm…

Of course Trump rose to political prominence trying to disqualify a sitting falsely on legal grounds, President, Barack Obama.

President Obama and Hillary Clinton tried very hard to disqualify Trump.

-26 ( +5 / -31 )

Of course Trump rose to political prominence trying to disqualify a sitting president falsely on legal grounds,, , Barack Obama.

Corrected for accuracy there.

21 ( +23 / -2 )

Trump is bedlam. Having him have to sit there in silence on camera and stew throughout his trial is what will be a public service to the nation.

Hasn't happened, so a hypothetical.

undermining the will of American voters is just acceptable? Hmmm…

Again, hasn't happened.

14 ( +18 / -4 )

Of course Trump rose to political prominence trying to disqualify a sitting president falsely on legal grounds,, , Barack Obama.

No, Obama’s toxic policies did that.

Accurately corrected for accuracy.

-27 ( +2 / -29 )

Hasn't happened, so a hypothetical.

The polls say something different, hate on the politics, don’t hate the messenger.

Again, hasn't happened.

Then Biden should be blowing Trump out the water in every single poll. Again, everyone if that were even remotely true.

-23 ( +1 / -24 )

The polls say something different, hate on the politics, don’t hate the messenger.

Great and smart point, the popularity of somethind determines its factually. Brilliant.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

factuality.*

5 ( +8 / -3 )

The polls say something different, hate on the politics, don’t hate the messenger.

When you're proven wrong, you shrug it off with the alternative facts of "the polls".

The polls aren't facts.

Trump is going to be held accountable. He is not going to attempt to overthrow the government and then walk away like it never happened.

Nope. That’s not happening.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

Trump is going to be held accountable.

By the haters? How about the people?

He is not going to attempt to overthrow the government

He didn’t overthrow anyone, never tried to.

and then walk away like it never happened.

Nope. That’s not happening.

He’s not, no need when you’re innocent. This is why he wasn’t charged

-25 ( +1 / -26 )

Judge Florence Pan, a Biden appointee, asked Sauer whether a president could be criminally prosecuted for ordering the assassination of a political rival by Navy SEAL special forces.

Sauer insisted that even in this hypothetical case, a president could only be tried if first impeached and convicted by Congress.

But if Congress didn't convict him, or if he left office before it had a chance to, then he would get off.

It was a poor argument legally, but if it is found to be correct, the powers that it effectively gives the President are terrifying.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Trump is going to be held accountable.

By the haters? How about the people?

By the LAW.

Your “arguments” (snigger) are particularly weak today.

18 ( +19 / -1 )

bass4funk

Hasn't happened, so a hypothetical.

The polls say something different, hate on the politics, don’t hate the messenger.

The polls don't determine the truth. Just because some people believe something is true, doesn't make it true, after all, many people believe in god.

Again, hasn't happened.

Then Biden should be blowing Trump out the water in every single poll. Again, everyone if that were even remotely true.

Again, polls don't determine truth.

18 ( +20 / -2 )

Having heard the hearing live, I think the judges were having none of it.

The question “Could a sitting president order Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival and be held accountable?”

“After trial and impeachment”

”What if he were acquitted? Could he then be tried?”

”After impeachment and conviction, yes”

”So no”

Trump is going to trial before the election. There will be a verdict. And because he is guilty AF, he is going to be convicted.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

bass4funk

Trump is going to be held accountable.

By the haters? How about the people?

By the justice system.

He is not going to attempt to overthrow the government

He didn’t overthrow anyone, never tried to.

Oh, he tried. Luckily, he didn't succeed.

and then walk away like it never happened.

Nope. That’s not happening.

He’s not, no need when you’re innocent.

This is why he wasn’t charged

For insurrection? I would give that big "yet!".

15 ( +17 / -2 )

Further attempts by Trump to further delay by seeking a full panel hearing and then SCOTUS, will very likely be felt with expeditiously or will just be denied.

Neither the full appeals court nor SCOTUS have to take this case. They could just as easily deny as the appeal is clearly a frivolous attempt to delay judgment.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

John

Having heard the hearing live, I think the judges were having none of it.

The question “Could a sitting president order Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival and be held accountable?”

“After trial and impeachment”

”What if he were acquitted? Could he then be tried?”

”After impeachment and conviction, yes”

”So no”

Yeah, Trump's lawyer was squirming on that one. He then said, "a qualified, yes", which is actually a "no".

The judge then brought up the hypothetical "what if he ordered Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival and then resigned the next day, so he couldn't be impeached."

Can easily tell which way this is heading, and it's not in Trump's favor.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Further attempts by Trump to further delay by seeking a full panel hearing and then SCOTUS,

You can make the same arguments about the haters trying push this faux trial scam at any cost.

will very likely be felt with expeditiously or will just be denied.

Then on to the Supreme Court where they will knock some reasoning into Smith’s cranium

Neither the full appeals court nor SCOTUS have to take this case.

They will though.

They could just as easily deny as the appeal is clearly a frivolous attempt to delay judgment.

They could, but as radical and desperate as the Dems are to subvert the entire political process, I think they will.

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

"I think it's paradoxical to say that his constitutional duty 'to take care that the laws be faithfully executed' allows him to violate criminal laws," said Judge Karen Henderson, an appointee of former Republican president George H.W. Bush.

BINGO!

Think about that one - Trump is saying that he could go on a unlawful spree and assassinate all his political rivals and former turncoat cabinet members, but could only be indicted and tried if Congress impeaches him first... Utter craziness...

And Trump is becoming even more crazy and desperate as he loses trial after trial....

Besides his boast that he would be a "dictator only on day one", he said yesterday that he "hopes the economy will crash in the next 12 months"....

https://fox59.com/hill-politics/trump-says-he-hopes-economy-crashes-in-next-12-months-i-dont-want-to-be-herbert-hoover/

But then what can you expect from a guy that thinks you need an ID to buy bread...

11 ( +15 / -4 )

By the justice system.

The so called Dem system?

Oh, he tried.

No, if he really tried, it wouldn’t have been executed so poorly and finished in a few hours.

For insurrection?

Riot, that is why he wasn’t charged

I would give that big "yet!"

Not going to happen.

The polls don't determine the truth.

No, but they determine that Joe is politically in trouble..

Again, polls don't determine truth.

Then Dems wouldn’t be in a panic. Don’t convince, go out and sell them that Biden’s policies are good. ROFL

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

The Democrats are in full-fear of Trump.

Anyway, the US already has bedlam at its borders with thousands crossing illegally everyday.

-20 ( +2 / -22 )

There's a reason Trump is acting so erratically lately - or should I say MORE erratically...

"New evidence obtained by special counsel Jack Smith from Donald Trump’s former aides could be “kryptonite” to the former president’s defense in the D.C. election subversion case, legal experts say.

Trump “was just not interested” in stopping the violence on Jan. 6, longtime aide Dan Scavino told Smith’s team, according to ABC News. “So what?” Trump asked when told that then-Vice President Mike Pence had to be moved to a secure location, former aide Nick Luna told prosecutors.

“The new evidence will be kryptonite to Trump’s hopes for avoiding a conviction,” former federal prosecutor Dennis Aftergut wrote in an op-ed at Slate."

https://www.yahoo.com/news/nail-coffin-legal-experts-aides-134843487.html

This case, and the classified steal and stash one, were both slam dunks - even before more of his aides came forward to testify against him...

This is the nail in the coffin...and just encourages more of them to flip and save themselves from jail...

Steel yourselves now MAGA brethren - your apostle is headed to Leavenworth...count on it...

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Trump, by choice (He wasn’t “dragged off the campaign trail” another lie) attended the preceding.

Where he did nothing, provided no value, and failed (again) to intimidate the judicial branch with his huffing and puffing.

It was a metaphor for his entire term.

Maybe it was performance art?

What??? ROFL... George Santos.

That include Republican appointed judges at every level who have thrown out his junk law suits, sanctioned his law and disparaged his submissions?

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Isn't this so "Trump"? He and his quack lawyers are making an argument now that is the COMPETE OPPOSITE of what they were making when he was impeached...

"Donald Trump's lawyer said he should be immune from criminal prosecution unless Congress convicts him first. But his attorney ran into an issue in federal court on Tuesday: Trump's old lawyers once argued the exact opposite point — and now, the judges noticed.

When Donald Trump was impeached over the Capitol riot in 2021, his lawyers drilled down on one key argument: a former president shouldn't face impeachment proceedings, he should face the courts.

Now, Trump is facing those courts in the criminal election-interference case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith - and is arguing the complete opposite"....

A fact which did not go unnoticed by the judges.

yes Bass, he’s arguing for total immunity because he hasn’t been charged.

Trump warns “very bad things” will happen if his prosecution goes ahead.

Yes they will, to Trump.

As for his wannabe gangster threat of violence, he all huff, no puff. Like all bullies, he is a coward.

And even his cult gets tired of going to prison on his account.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Trump, by choice (He wasn’t “dragged off the campaign trail” another lie)

Because THEN he will be a criminal defendant in a felony trial.

But TODAY (do try to keep up) he wasn’t. He lied. Again.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

yes Bass, he’s arguing for total immunity because he hasn’t been charged.

Brilliant argument

Ok, so that means, if Trump is elected or whichever Republican, they can go after Biden for his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan which ultimately ended in 13 of our soldiers being killed. Or maybe they can go after Obama over that drone strike that accidentally killed some people. I mean, why not? Every future president and administration should be able to go after their predecessor.

-17 ( +3 / -20 )

Ok, so that means, if Trump is elected or whichever Republican, they can go after Biden

You want this and 45 has claimed he will do it. What is your problem?

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Just a daily reminder that if Trump somehow wins this case Biden is officially above the law. Sure, House could Impeach, but according to team 45, he also must be convicted by the Senate, which won’t happen. Something really baffling about arguing for total presidential immunity when the other party holds the White House and Senate…careful what you wish for, Trump faithful…

He’s not the problem, the voters that are denied will be the problem.

And even his cult gets tired of going to prison on his account.

You would not know this factually, you haven’t spoken to them or even know what the prosecutors told them.

Because THEN he will be a criminal defendant in a felony trial.

Bad policy, (to use your example a poorly thought out deal with terrorists negotiated by , checks notes TRUMP! - Oops, didn’t think that one out, did you?) is not criminal.

Attempting to overthrow the government is. And Smith’s charges amount to that even if the charges themselves are slightly different.

Wow, with “logic” like that, maybe you should be Trump’s lawyer. I don’t think not knowing anything about American Jurisprudence would hurt you. It doesn’t seem to be hurting them.

Yep. Here’s another hypothetical that is well within the parameters of what is being advanced.

Withdraw Trump’s security, have Don (and his idiot adult children for good measure) murdered by Hunter (just to own the right!).

Then pardon Hunter and resign before the House can impeach him.

And according to Trump’s “logic” that is all perfectly in line with the underpinning of Constitutional Government that we are a nation of laws and no man is above the law.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

And to the Dems going forward.

I’m a Dem. What bad things are going to happen to me if Trump is elected?

Well, he never tried to overthrow the government, had he’d done that he would be in prison now. Fact.

Wow, with “logic” like that, maybe you should be Trump’s lawyer.

Naw, he already has a great one.

I don’t think not knowing anything about American Jurisprudence would hurt you

It’s called “precedent”. Rules established regarding similar matters in previous serve as rules in subsequent cases.

I see law school wasn’t wasted on this one.

And Trump is accused of and will stand trial for knowingly committing a crime. That’s what criminal trials do.

Quit while you’re behind…..

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Ain’t like 45 started telegraphing his intentions in February of 2020 or anything like that. All presidential candidates say the only way they can lose is if the other side cheats 8 months before the election and rep-at that every time they speak for the entire cycle. That you’re too blinded by get the libs to see that is on you.

your man did exactly what he said he was going to do.

Yep. Here’s another hypothetical that is well within the parameters of what is being advanced.

You just played your hand and that’s exactly what the left are freaking about, that their Frankenstein creation can backfire on them and they are right. They should have listened to Harry Reid.

Emotional misery

It’s called “precedent”. Rules established regarding similar matters in previous serve as rules in subsequent cases.

Ok, so the Dems are in serious trouble once the party changes, good lord…

I see law school wasn’t wasted on this one.

You can always consult a lawyer

And Trump is accused of and will stand trial for knowingly committing a crime. That’s what criminal trials do.

Criminal? What crime? In a blue that? A state that hates him. So why not move the trial to a less impartial state like Texas.

Quit while you’re behind…..

I am way ahead actually…

-14 ( +2 / -16 )

So why not move the trial to a less impartial state like Texas.

Because defendants can’t choose to move a trial to a state of their choosing. Trials almost always take place where the alleged crime occurred. This has been explained to you several times now.

Less impartial?

9 ( +11 / -2 )

"It will be bedlam in the country."

Trump abandoned his supporters after encouraging them to join his insurrection. He watched it on TV in a basement and hundreds of them ended up in prison.

Even more reasons Trump is growing more unhinged and desperate...

"Just two weeks out from the state's first-in-the-nation primary, a new CNN poll out Tuesday, conducted by the University of New Hampshire, shows Haley cutting into Trump's lead, garnering 32% of the vote to his 39% and trailing him now by just seven points in the state, slicing her deficit from the last University of New Hampshire poll by 12 points."

And to no one's surprise, what racist insult did Trump fall back on?

"Trump alleges Nikki Haley is ineligible to be president because her parents were not U.S. citizens at the time of her birth in the US."

Welcome to the racist Birther Lie, ver 2.0...

The Trump “attorney” (and given his previous legal counsel, that word should always be in quotes when refer to Trump) actually changed his argument middle-stream (of consciousness?) from “Absolute Immunity” to “Qualified Immunity” which he laughably declared was nonetheless “absolute” (Thus proving that words have no meaning in the MAGA-verse.)

Again, it didn’t go unnoticed by the judges.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Trump abandoned his supporters after encouraging them to join his insurrection.

Is that what the left thinks??? Gawd! lol

He watched it on TV in a basement and hundreds of them ended up in prison.

No one was killed except Ashley

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

Not very clever from all those many opponents and attackers to keep him extremely busy in trials , accusations, drawing energy and time from him when he probably will regain presidency. Leave him alone, so that he can develop strategies and political concepts for his next term at WH. The West, US and also the ones who always attack Trump cannot afford another period of a weakened Western world leader. Trump will come out of those attacks more or less unharmed, but will we all come out unharmed too if he is in power but too exhausted?

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

There won’t be any ‘bedlam’. There’ll be plenty of whining and “just you wait grrrrr” but it’ll be a gnat’s fart compared to the sound of millions around the world cheering.

”Such violent people the left ARE!”

If you are going to say untruthful, unhinged bunk, at least use the correct form of the verb “to be.”

Not sure if it is true, but I heard that you can run for president whilst in prison.

Regardless of guilt or innocence, attempting to lock up the leading opposition candidate makes America look a lot like Russia and an assortment of Banana Republics.

The Democrats really should have fostered the ability, policies and candidate to beat him, regardless. It's politics. You just have to be better at it than the other lot. Maybe skill up a bit more and find someone who can win easily.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

Regardless of guilt or innocence, attempting to lock up the leading opposition candidate makes America look a lot like Russia and an assortment of Banana Republics.

No, it doesn’t. It makes us look like a nation of laws which is the antithesis of Putin-land.

Interesting legal concept. Guilt or innocence should be irrelevant when it concerns politicians

Shall we let people commit crimes if they politicians? I thought you folks hated 'elites', especially political ones?

Make your bloody minds up.

I don't think they will be as keen on killing people for him again.

No one was killed except Ashley

Who was shot and killed as she attempted to breach the final barrier between the insurrectionist mob and the members of Congress. After being warned. Multiple investigations ruled it a good shoot.

I couldn’t help but notice that the tough patriotic “LIBERTY OR DEATH!” Cult was so DEI that the were kind enough to let a woman breach the gap first. How woke of them….

I also noticed that after she was shot, the ra-ra bois were suddenly looking for option 3 on the “liberty or death” choice.

Because they were huff and puff cowards.

It’s called “precedent”. Rules established regarding similar matters in previous serve as rules in subsequent cases.

I see law school wasn’t wasted on this one.

Actually in law school it is called stare decisis and that principle does not refer to "rules", but to prior legal rulings.

Ditto your second sentence above,

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

No, it doesn’t. It makes us look like a nation of laws which is the antithesis of Putin-land.

We are a nation of laws??? Since when? Not these last 2 years, that’s a given…

The Democrats really should have fostered the ability, policies and candidate to beat him, regardless. It's politics. You just have to be better at it than the other lot. Maybe skill up a bit more and find someone who can win easily.

Well, that’s it, don’t have any policies that they can run on, the only thing that they can run on is hate, racism, Trump is bad, Trump is bad, rinse and repeat and that’s all they can run on, if you can’t run any accomplishments or policies of Trump is it.

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

Regardless of guilt or innocence, attempting to lock up the leading opposition candidate makes America look a lot like Russia and an assortment of Banana Republics.

funny, I see him actively campaigning, violating the terms of his bail near daily with impunity, not in some prison colony in the wilds of Alaska like Vlad’s chief rival.

How will you cope when the law finds him guilty and he loses again? What mechanisms do you have in mind to deal with it?

The Trump Book of Fear will need updating, the old one isn't selling that well.

My brother is a cop, as he told me, at the point she was trying to reach the window, she would’ve been grabbed and snatched and pulled through while the other officers gave cover, not a difficult thing to do if you’re competent and had the proper training.

My brother is also a cop and he says the officer security at the Capitol was well justified in shooting her. She was part of a mob that ransacked the Capitol, and was trying to gain access to a secured area where members of congress work. How pathetric the "law and order" party have become.

*If denied, Trump could ask for a rehearing by the full complement of judges on the appeals court, Tobias said, adding that it would also likely be denied, setting the stage for Trump to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.*

Mentioned this before: the appeals court has to hear his appeal TWICE, so that will kills a few more weeks.

Then he has a FULL NINETY (a 9 with a zero) days to file his appeal with SCOTUS - which I suspect his attorneys will do just before the close of business on day 90.

Jack Smith's trial schedule has been blown out of the water. This is a fact.

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

Actually in law school it is called stare decisis and that principle does not refer to "rules", but to prior legal rulings.

Which serve as rules for subsequent cases unless there are important differences, the law has changed, or in the case of Dobbs, the “originalists” just decide to ignore them.

And I did know that term, but I was asked to “dumb it down” for the “Lexically challenged” in your lot.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

JJE,

so you seem to admit that 45 doesn’t want a speedy trial but rather to hopefully drag it out till after the election so he can hopefully pardon himself.

you catch that, GBR48? Think Vlad would put up with this?

With zero weapons, a tiny 5 foot woman.

To be followed by a hoard of angry armed men shouting “Hang Mike Pence” among other things.

But as they were “woke” they let a “tiny 5 foot woman” go first, eh?

My brother is a cop,

And you still carry water for people beating and bear-spraying cops as we all say on live tv? Interesting..

as he told me, at the point she was trying to reach the window, she would’ve been grabbed and snatched and pulled through while the other officers gave cover, not a difficult thing to do if you’re competent and had the proper training.

Your brother was never ever in this situation and was never tasked with defending members of conform a hoard of insurrectionists braying for their murder.

As multiple investigations have ruled it a good shoot, I’ll go with them over your so-called brother whom you claim to be a cop.

It’s hard to believe that this traitor can make unveiled threats like this. Stunningly arrogant.

No, not in the US legal system. It is not referred to as "rules". The word is "ruling". And "precedent" can also be substituted.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

How will you cope when the law finds him guilty and he loses again?

They find guilty, but I don’t think you loose again, at this time the Republicans are very attuned to the tricks of the Democrats

What mechanisms do you have in mind to deal with it?

Playing by the same rules the Dems play by.

Are you lining up another Big Steal?

It will be different this time around, the GOP are now more aware of their MO.

The Trump Book of Fear will need updating, the old one isn't selling that well.

Hmmm…according to the polls, looks like your wrong once again.

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

*Mentioned this before: the appeals court has to hear his appeal TWICE, so that will kills a few more weeks.*

You were factually incorrect before and you are equally wrong now.

Granting an en-bank review by the full court of appeals is up to a vote of the court. Ditto SCOTUS. Neither HAS to take the case. Given that this is likely to be a 3-0 decision accompanied by a scathing rebuke of Trump’s “argument”, it is equally likely that the full court and possibly SCOTUS will just deny the reward they did in his fraudulent election claims.

AND…..

The court can, quite possibly will, replace the blanket stay with an administrative stay. In such as circumstance, Trump’s “attorneys” would have 7 days to seek a hearing max.

And as the other poster noted, “We can delay!!!” Not such a strong argument of innocence.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

No, not in the US legal system. It is not referred to as "rules". The word is "ruling". And "precedent" can also be substituted.

The rulings serve as rules, AKA precedent for subsequent cases.

You agree with me without meaning to agree with me.

Thanks.

Yes. The voters should decide the election. Not faceless Biden democratic bureaucrats and their acolytes who ruined the economy, plunged the world into war and bungled the southern border. They are attempting to prevent themselves being held accountable by the electorate.

Besides, it's a not just a tad undemocratic keeping him off the ballot - it's outright anti-democratic (that's why they are trying to keep any primary challengers to Joseph Robinette Biden off the ballot too).

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

Exactly.

You mean, the way the left did during the summer of 2020?

Your brother was never ever in this situation

You don’t know what bad situation he was in, seriously, don’t even try, you’ll only further embarrass yourself and weak argument.

and was never tasked with defending members of conform a hoard of insurrectionists braying for their murder.

There was no insurrection. But yeah, my brother was involved in a few heavy riots.

As multiple investigations have ruled it a good shoot,

Well, this administration and their supporters can believe that, but a lot of non-basis military officers and former cops said, the cops handled this in the worst possible way.

I’ll go with them over your so-called brother whom you claim to be a cop.

No claim And I’ll go with my brother and former military officials over this WH without a doubt.

It will be different this time around, the GOP are now more aware of their MO.

What is their MO, and why were you unable to detect and prove it last time?

But it's nice to hear you confirm that if Trump does lose you will embrace the result.

Yes. The voters should decide the election.

They will. And they did in 2020, in a monstrous landslide. But it was all too much for you.

The woman who was shot wasn't some little woman.  Ashli Babbitt enlisted in the United States Air Force, where she served 12 years; Babbitt was deployed at least eight times by 2014, including in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar; from 2010 onward, she served in the Air National Guard.

She knew what she was doing n that day. Trying to break down the door protecting the representatives. What would have happened if the mob had got in?

Trump undermined democracy when he attempted to stay in power by rejecting the results of American voters. Now, Trump denies accountability by asserting that, as the US President, he can assassinate political opponents without facing prosecution.

He has no clue about what makes America great. America cannot be great when its democracy is undermined.

The national telephone and online survey, released Tuesday by Rasmussen, found that 21 percent of mail-in voters admitted to practices that were likely or definitely fraudulent during the 2020 election -- and that those Americans constituted 30 percent of those who cast ballots.

And more..

The whole world wants to know how Joe stole an election from a basement,

Trump Lawyer Claims Presidential Immunity Covers Having Rivals Assassinated

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-lawyer-claims-presidential-immunity-163404635.html

So this week alone, Trump said he hopes the economy collapses to make him look good, and that he should be allowed to use the military to take out a political rival, which he has stated previously he will do if he gets elected. His suggestion of execution included a military General who has honorably served his country all of his life. The MAGAs are totally fine with this. This is what Trump and the GOP wants to stay in power.

Don-E is really using those marching orders that Putin gave him.

She was shot by someone charged with protecting the representatives. He wasn't a coward, he was doing his job.

> He was and he wasn’t, this job as a police officer, or even a Capital officer is to de-escalate a situation, and to ascertain as to what is happening at the moment and time, she wasn’t caring a weapon, and because of her height and stature, he was able to pull her out and over zip tie her and pass her along to other officers that were backing up, that’s a cop out

His job at that moment in the speaker's corridor was to protect the representatives and VP Pence who were being evacuated. He had to stop the mob from smashing down the door. People don't have to have weapons to be a threat. She trained in the military and was very capable. Your picture of some little woman does not cut it.

A weapon does not have to be a gun. Baseball bat etc.

The day happened because of Trump and he is the one responsible for what happened.

She didn’t know she was going to get shot by a cowardly thug.

A police officer acting in his official capacity, but we will let the stupid semantics slide.

So she didn’t know that engaging in a violent insurrection to overthrow the government might get her shot?

That just makes her stupid (and dead).

Almost as stupid as the claim, that Trump actually made, that he’s not criminally liable because nobody informed him that he was engaging in criminal behavior.

He’s lying. White House Counsel definitely advised.

Ignorance of the law is not a legally valid defense.

https://apnews.com/article/ashli-babbitt-capitol-siege-a15c7e52a04d932972b7a284c7a8f7df

1) The first time Celeste Norris laid eyes on Ashli Babbitt, the future insurrectionist had just rammed her vehicle three times with an SUV and was pounding on the window, challenging her to a fight.

2) Terrified and confused, Norris dialed 911 and waited for law enforcement. Babbitt was later charged with numerous misdemeanors.

3) On social media, Babbitt identified as a Libertarian and ardent supporter of the Second Amendment. Her posts included videos of profane rants against Democrats, COVID-19 mask mandates and illegal immigration.

4) “Nothing will stop us,” Babbitt tweeted Jan. 5. “They can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours....dark to light!”

5) Among Q followers, “The Storm” refers to the predicted day Trump would finally unmask the pedophile cabal, arrest and execute those deemed traitors and restore America to greatness.

Another example of the "Good Ones" (supporters) that Don-E likes to talk about!

Ashli Babbitt a martyr?

The First Amendment allows for storming, rioting, and looting of the Capitol Building and the injuring of 174 police officers.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

I don't believe any President past present or future should be immune from prosecution, as much that Donald Trump conspired to overturn the 2020 election.

The circumstances surrounding the so called storming of the U.S. Capitol a riot by Trump supporters on January 6, 2021 was never a threat to the US democratic/constitution.

Trump if suspected of instigating a riot should have faced trail/prosecution without delay.

This ridiculous political media circus is totally bizarre.

The fear of Trump returning to high office President of the United States of America has turned into a complete loss of reasoning, paranoia, insanity.

The First Amendment allows for storming, rioting, and looting of the Capitol Building and the injuring of 174 police officers.

> Does it allow for 3 months of rioting and looting businesses, shopping centers malls, defacing public properties and injuring over 400 officers?

This is an off-topic deflection and not related to what happened on Jan 6 when a mob urged by Trump tried to stop the democratic and legal handover of power. Trump urged Pence to stop the procedures which he refused to do. You claim this was their First Amendment rights. Hontou!

10 ( +11 / -1 )

so JJE, let’s just say that 45 successfully drags this immunity case out until after the election. And let’s say he wins the election. Does he drop it? Or does he keep going and take it to his Supreme Court? You understand that if he wins in his court, he officially has the power to become an absolute dictator? Like, for real?

you think he won’t? This is what you are cheering for.

And no, I don’t want Biden to have that kind of power, either. No American politician of any stripe should ever have that kind of power. Thats kind of the purpose of the Constitution.
