No, they gave it back to the States, now thankfully each state can vote on the issue.

Look at the result. There was no "Red Wave". The Republicans went backwards over this. This broke trends with history with all the "save the babies" ads the Trump party released on TV. Younger voters (who are hated by Trump people) spoke and old Trump geriatrics who watch FOX 24/7 in their lazyboys need to disappear into the sunset.

I do, now more than ever.

In Japan? What's wrong with the school system in Japan?

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Trump went to a private school and then paid another boy to take his exams for him. Typical cheater. Later he cheated on his wife. Cheated on his tax returns. Serial cheater. Must be his DNA.

--The GOP would like to stop or prevent many from voting.

Non-Americans, that goes without saying.

Do you have statistics on how many non-Americans voted in 2020 and 2022? I mean, real statistics? Real evidence?

6 ( +9 / -3 )

He spent money like crazy while talking about the greatest economy in history.

Well, there was covid and what is it with Foreigners hating a strong modern and up to date military?

Not just non-Americans the GOP would try to stop American-born voters.

Utter and total laughable BS.

The GOP took away the rights of women to have control over their bodies.

No, they gave it back to the States, now thankfully each state can vote on the issue.

And I thought you believed in home skooling.

I do, now more than ever.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

I'm wondering what woman in their right mind (who is younger at least) would vote Republican since they want to control their bodies. The Republicans these days see them elves as direct descendants of Jesus. Yes, the Dems have a few weird points (that have nothing to do with me personally) but it seems the Republicans are on a self destruct mission and they try to push clowns like Hershel Walker. Republicans? Why be so obsessed over the woman's body? You are losing votes over this. The dems just don't have open borders? What is the political point of that anyway even if they did?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

--That makes no sense.

Neither do Joe’s policies.

Great rejoinder. You got me there.

elected qualified teachers, elect more conservatives to school boards and DOE.

Huh? Are teachers elected? And I thought you believed in home skooling.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

There were always time limits for terminations. Many states like Texas have removed the rights of women to have control over their bodies even in the cases of rape and incest. Texas governor denied there was any rape in the state.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

No, just elected qualified teachers...

What were Betsy deVos' qualifications, apart from donating $200 million to the GOP?

“I have decided to stop taking offense at the suggestion that we are buying influence,” she wrote. “Now I simply concede the point. They are right."

As for the wall--of course the US needs a wall. What's the argument to not having a wall will keep illegals out?

Sounds like more sales for ladders, ropes, and shovels:

If they call at this The Trump Wall, it has to be beautiful. And you put that plank up and you dig your footings. And you put that plank up -- there's no ladder going over that. If they ever go up there, they're in trouble, because here's no way to get down. Maybe a rope.

(Trump admitting his wall is garbage since they just need a rope)

of course the US needs a wall.

And who is going to pay for that?

What's the argument to not having a wall will keep illegals out?

Exactly how should this giant wall be constructed? Like the Berlin wall? What are the specifics? What if the Mexicans use ladders and shovels....also Ropes [Maybe a rope (Trump)]. They even tried this before Trump...

In 2006, Democrats were saying 'build that fence!'— As a senator, Barack Obama once offered measured praise for the border control legislation

(News Source)

Trump did nothing the Dems didn't try before and they both failed. But ladders, ropes, and shovels never fail and very cheap at Home Depot.

What is Trump's healthcare plan?

"Trump faced criticism from many in his own party following the November midterm elections,

Yeah, they’re quiet now aren’t they?

in which Republicans underperformed their hopes and expectations.

Well, the abortion issue did kill many of them. Most Americans do want to some limit to abortion in the case of rape, incest or if the life of the mother is in jeopardy, but some of these candidates wanted zero exceptions whatsoever, that scared a lot of women, that was on those candidates not Trump.

The president’s party has historically lost seats in Congress during the midterms, but Democrats were able to grow their majority in the Senate and only narrowly lost in the House."

But they lost the House. They lost the ability and power to spend and write blank checks, and gained the power to stop Biden’s radical agenda, thank god!

He spent money like crazy while talking about the greatest economy in history.

His supporters were able to suspend deep-held beliefs in fiscal conservatism very effectively. Naturally, beliefs later came roaring back.

It was quite a sight.

I don’t think anyone needs to pinpoint the dates of this suspension.

his opposition to Biden's open border policy.

Don't forget that Reagan inked millions of green cards for illegals during his 2nd term. Why point the fingers at Democrats all the time? Trump's wall is now a hunk of garbage and less legal land for the US due to the influence of the Rio Grande especially.

Reagan isn't president now.

And he wasn't dishing out green cards to refugees from hotbeds of terrorism.

Yes, so benefitting Americans. Oh I’m sorry did that surprise you that I had a good one?

I disagree it is a good one.

Agree or disagree--you did ask for someone to name a beneficial policy, and he did. As an American, I agree that is a good example. Anytime US society can get maximum achievement from its children, this is a big plus for our society.

Sec Ed DeVos , billionaire Amway scion with Erik Prince and their private military business were a symbol of the Trump kleptocracy benefiting cronies.

We've been through this field enough--all that needs to be said to counter that is Hunter.

They do, but they can’t vote, so does it matter? Anyway. opinions are always welcome.

Opinions are welcomed, but the constant trolling over elementary issues is just silly.

At the same time, only Americans have the experience and insight to really understand how these issues affect Americans.

For example, a disgruntled Brit chirping "Trump denied the election". Sad.

im fine with Trump/Desantis/Pompeo/Cruz/Scott as President at this moment.

Name one policy accomplishment or proposal of any of these individuals that would benefit the American public.

On more positive Pompeo stance--his opposition to Biden's open border policy.

Pompeo considers this a national security problem--especially allowing a flood of refugees from hotbeds of terrorism such as Syria and Yemen.

I would feel safer as an American if the number of refugees from those types of countries is kept at zero.

This list is all either nonspecific polemic (e.g. "failed liberal policies", "corrosive to our military", "vilifying male masculinity") or simply untrue (e.g. "defunding our police").

His company was just convicted of tax fraud, setting the stage from criminal indictments.

You know full well that the only thing that will happen at the most is, he might have to pay another fine, that’s it.

He and one of his attorneys were just sanctioned by a judge for abusing the legal system with ridiculous lawsuits to the tune of about a million bucks split between them. And don't forget the cases he lost over his so-called non profit charity where all the funds went to him, and having Trump U shut down for defrauding the students. It is catching up to him now. Judges are no longer tolerating his delaying tactics.

Yeah, and watch the Dems fail on that as well. 7 years, don’t kid yourself. The obsessive hate the left has for this guy, they worked 24/7 to do whatever they could to take this guy out and absolutely nothing happened. Well, yeah. Trump runs. Trump loses. People laugh. His supporters are triggered. It’s really quite entertaining.

Trump's campaign, in its early stages, has already drawn controversy, most particularly when he had dinner with Holocaust-denying white nationalist Nick Fuentes and the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, who had made a series of antisemitic comments. Trump also was widely mocked for selling a series of digital trading cards that pictured him as a superhero, a cowboy and an astronaut, among others.

I guess the Trump supporters think this is nothing to do with Trump and they are probably right because he's no longer the poster boy and too many republicans oppose him. He has to win the nomination first.

Hmm…7 years you’ve been saying this. It has as much validity as AOC becoming the next President. We know, soon, soon…lol

Ron DeSantis has a 12-point lead over Donald Trump

Nope.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/trump-boasts-20-point-lead-desantis-hints-new-energy-campaign

Trump currently has an unfavorability rating of 55%, and a favourability rate of 39.6%.

He’s always had that, nothing new, but then again it depends on who was polled.

In one poll Trump was favoured slightly over Biden but that's not such a great achievement.

Considering how destructive his policies have been and still are, it’s a phenomenal achievement.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

Was Obama the exception that proves the rule?

I’m sure the Republicans and the Democrats wish they had someone with that kind of skill set.

Trump and Biden struggle with the basics of putting a coherent sentence together.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Yes, kids don’t need to learn about absolute benign racism. If the parents want to teach them that at home, that’s their choice

Cannot parse this syntax.

So makes about as much sense as the Trump and Republican rhetoric against wokeness, CRT, cultural Marxism or whatever empty culture war grift that comprises the bulk of what they campaign with to their electorate.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

And yet he is still in first place In both the primary and the general election polling.

Lol it's two years out, and Trump is leading in some polls by roughly 3 percentage points, with 10% of voters claiming to vote for someone else, and 4% undecided. I'd bet money that neither of those two categories will break towards Trump.

triggering, isn’t it?

Lol no.

I really doubt if he will ever make , he will be behind bars before Jan 2024 but then again Mr. TEFLON managed to survive so much not because he is smart but because he is a crook.

His 7 million vote popular loss

According to? Same people that said he would go to prison forever?

According to the election results.

There was no evidence of mass fraud. Trump has claimed mass fraud in a few elections without evidence. It’s what he does. Not very bright people accept his claims without evidence. It’s what they do.

He was comprehensively thrashed by a declining Biden in 2020.

Worth remembering.

Believe me, if the victory of the GOP is inevitable, it is preferable that it be Trump..

I wouldn’t be so sure, with the damage Biden is doing and with 75% of the nation feeling that the country is going in the wrong direction and 2 more years of this guy and his policies, be careful.

DeSantis is a worse fascist, for the sample now he is suppressing the books in schools in Florida..

Yes, kids don’t need to learn about absolute benign racism. If the parents want to teach them that at home, that’s their choice

De Santis is a danger to the country,

No, he’s a danger to the liberal socialist progressive woke establishment, I’ll definitely give you that, and without a doubt, especially now more so that he’s getting more and Hispanics, that’s definitely not good for the left.

for the minorities, for the freedom and for the democracy

Wrong! Dems policies are what is fueling DeSantis success. Take a look back…

GLAD to see him running this way it is almost Guaranteed the democrats will keep the white house.

Let's see how Trump started off his campaign...

After saying for a year that the classified he took belonged to him, that his lawyers said in court you should "expect" to find classified in Presidential records, that he then said he declassified by "thinking about it", he now flips completely and says he only took empty folders, no classified...

He insulted his former Secretary of Transportation for four years and a Blue Chip Republican Elaine Chao with a another repugnant racist attack...

Trump 2024: The Triggering.

-14 ( +5 / -19 )

Lindsey Graham's prediction in 2016 that if Trump is selected as the Republican nominee it will "destroy the party" is now coming true...

Trump cultists are not Republicans, they only support the Ultra MAGA King. The regular Republicans are tired of Trump's crimes, lies, and racist hate speech - but they could tolerate those if he could only win - he's shown he's a consistent loser...just ask Dr Oz or Kari Lake...

So the Pubs will likely split in 2024, with the traditional wing nominating Pence or Haley - and the MAGA wing leaving the party to run as a third candidate - handing Joe another term.

Trump is done. DeSantis 2024.

Not according to the latest polls, his followers or himself, I think the people can make that the decision, not the left.

-18 ( +5 / -23 )

Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Biden have another 4-year term!

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

He's vile, nasty, corrupt. America deserves to have him as the next president.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

What’s Trump’s end game?

Fleecing his fans for their hard earned cash again. His campaign funding will be under very close examination this time, he’d better dot all the Is and cross all the Ts.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Somebody should get Trump declared mental incompetent,a man facing criminal and legal investigation, acting as if he can ignore his own deluded reality

3 ( +7 / -4 )

He will lose against DeSantis

He will lose to almost any other candidate. Other politicians are wise to him now and will know how to handle him in the primaries.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Interesting enough, being committed (to an insane asylum) is probably his best defense against being imprisoned for the rest of his life.

Because he is guilty as Hell of multiple felony offenses.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

Let him run, he will just split the vote, make the Rep. look like fools, again, and hand the election to whomever runs on the Dem's ticket.

Oh, how I hope Kamala Harris gets the nomination! Both parties will get their behinds served up piping hot by the electorate.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

He says he's 'more committed' than ever...

That only the half of it: millions of us would love to see him "committed" to Georgia State, for starters, and then "more committed" to the US Atlanta Pen where he can only dream of golfing (because "justice" matters).

7 ( +12 / -5 )

What’s Trump’s end game?

His ego is too big to admit defeat. In the "old" days, he would have been institutionalized.

15 ( +22 / -7 )

Let him run, he will just split the vote, make the Rep. look like fools, again, and hand the election to whomever runs on the Dem's ticket.

11 ( +17 / -6 )

What’s Trump’s end game? He knows very well that he won’t get the Republican Party nomination unless nobody else runs for Presidency. Mike Pence, DeSantis ( probably going to get nominated ), Mike Pompeo, Nikki Haley, Ted Cruz, Sen. Tim Scott, Gov.Glenn Youngkin are all going to run even though they haven’t announced it yet since announcing it too early makes the excitement extinct! If Trump doesn’t get the nomination he’ll probably create a third party just to satisfy his ego! This will break the Republican voters and Democrats will win easily! Trump is hellbent on destroying the Republican Party one way or another. This is karma coming back to bite the Republican senators who should have impeached him for January 6 riots and got rid of him then. Having said this, I personally still prefer Trump to DeSantis because with Trump I know what I’ll be getting but DeSantis seems like the devil disguised to end America one way or another!

Well, the big boss of the MAGA gang is back in the ring..

With the stupid things that Joe is doing with Ukraine conflict, he is making Trump's job easier..

The ONLY good thing about Trump is that if he had been re-elected, I assure you that no war would have happened in Ukraine, as a good friend and partner of Putin, the war would have been avoided..

In the end it would have been the best for the US..

I’m more angry now and I’m more committed now

Angry that he lost the last election and angry that his little coup attempt failed.

there are so many people who are angry about what’s happening in Washington.”

Anger. It’s what’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the GOP. With a side of grievance.

16 ( +28 / -12 )

“said his policies would be the opposite of President Joe Biden's.”

Mindless and childish revenge fantasy. Of course his supporters will lap it up.

I’m thrilled he’s running again. He has no chance of winning but it’ll be a joy to watch the show.

14 ( +30 / -16 )

I don't care who it is as long as the next president ends the war. If it's Trump so be it.

-30 ( +12 / -42 )

In New Hampshire, Trump promoted his campaign agenda, including immigration and crime, and said his policies would be the opposite of President Joe Biden's.

At least Trump did a good job of summing up the Republican platform.

But leaders of both parties are united in their love of the biggest welfare queens, large corporations.

https://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/99-reasons-to-dump-trump/ny-edit-his-corporate-welfare-20201027-6pkt2tjccjcbbkwwd3h46qug6y-story.html
