Trump is British slang to break wind.

This bit of slang becomes truer by the day.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trumps base loves violence, bigotry and stupidity.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I wasn't aware Republicans had the choice of making Hillary their nominee.

Only in a Freddy nightmare.

Making the bigot the Republican's top choice. Because of Obama. ("That's right")

There wouldn't be a Trump if we didn't have an Obama.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

If I were a Republican I might have a problem with a candidate who'd been to IRA fundraisers and made comments like this about his own daughter:

"Yeah, she's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father ..."

Anyone who's so desperate to keep the Democrats out of the White House that they'd vote in this... freak really must be a bit sad and pathetic. And I bet that even if he ever does get elected President he'll never go through with muslim ban thing. But perhaps he isn't expecting to get elected.

Just out of interest, anyone know how much Donald Trump has raised in campaign donations? If he doesn't get the nomination he gets to keep whatever he hasn't spent, right?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

So you chose Donald Trump?

Over Hillary???? Was that a rhetorical question? Yes, Yes and a HELL YES!!!

I wasn't aware Republicans had the choice of making Hillary their nominee.

You couldn't find someone with the qualities that you are looking for who isn't a bigot and a black eye on the party?

Rubio or Cruz would be second and third choice.

Making the bigot the Republican's top choice. Because of Obama. ("That's right")

3 ( +3 / -0 )

"Over Hillary???? Was that a rhetorical question? Yes, Yes and a HELL YES!!!" He will raise taxes over Hillary

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Well I'm glad you can admit it.

That he is absolutely THE worst president EVER surpassing Coolidge or Wilson? You bet!.

So you chose Donald Trump?

Over Hillary???? Was that a rhetorical question? Yes, Yes and a HELL YES!!!

You couldn't find someone with the qualities that you are looking for who isn't a bigot and a black eye on the party?

Rubio or Cruz would be second and third choice.

"Donald Trump held onto his commanding lead"

Amazing!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

"No, it's just the people are tired and fed up with Obama's BS, people see him as weak, pathetic and the people want someone that's strong or someone that personify strength, fortitude and determination and show all of our enemies that the president of the US will use all and every measure to protect the country and its citizens, pure and simple."

I'm looking for specifics in this paragraph.

You know I often wonder if you know the truth about how good a president Obama has been,

No, I don't. I absolutely do not!

Well I'm glad you can admit it.

I would never lie

So you really do believe the lies!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

@Bass I would never lie, I don't need to. I'm not Obama.

I'd be greatly appreciative if you could provide some specific examples of times you have told the truth. Unless you're using truth to mean the same thing as opinion. I've read your opinions many times. I've read oblique - at best - responses to questions you've been asked, but never what I call truth. Then again, you have your own dictionary and use words in different ways to what I'm accustomed to.

I'm using this definition for truth: that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality.

And I've yet to have read an actual response to a question you've been asked. For example, you stated that Obama had taken away your freedoms. I asked which ones and got what I thought was a non-sensical reply: lots of words, lots of memes, but no answer.

I'll ask again: what freedoms has Obama taken from you? Truth, please.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

You know I often wonder if you know the truth about how good a president Obama has been,

No, I don't. I absolutely do not! But I do think your jokes are almost as funny as Chris Rock.

and just lie about it to support party lines, or if you truly believe the lies that are told

I would never lie, I don't need to. I'm not Obama.

As a test of courage it would be a hoot if the author of this gem had the guts to send it in to The White House email for President Obama.

He should!

Its clear and powerful message reflects the talent of a seasoned journalist and would likely invite an interview from the local authorities. But that would take real guts and maybe the loss of more than a few firearms, a stretch in the pen and certainly a spot on the 'watch list'.

I seriously doubt that.

As it is, it explains why Donald J. Trump can manipulate the mass of tiny minds so impressed with the comical condescension and disgust present in his every utterance. Funny, sad and transparent. But that's why the Republicans Love the Trump!

No, it's just the people are tired and fed up with Obama's BS, people see him as weak, pathetic and the people want someone that's strong or someone that personify strength, fortitude and determination and show all of our enemies that the president of the US will use all and every measure to protect the country and its citizens, pure and simple.

I have a different perspective on Bush 41. Remember, he and Saddam were partners during the Iran - Iraq war. (Oil, you know) I think Bush 41 went to war to protect the rulers of Kuwait (old family ties to a brutal dictatorship) and US oil companies interests. Bush 41 opened the pandora's box mess we see today

Besides being an adjunct professor, what else politically has Obama done besides voting present?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

bass: you're not going to agree with a candidate on every single issue

So where do you disagree with Trump?

And be careful....you've found a group more to the right than you are which means they're very soon going to tell you that you aren't a real conservative. It's not going to be pretty.

Lovely reading the American blowhards.

@superlib

This is not the bubble. You will need a lot more than clever vocabulary and anger to be taken seriously here. You can start by forming your own opinions and not cutting and pasting fuzzy right

Please provide us with any links you have in your research to prove kazutsukai is cutting and pasting. He/she is just expressing observations of why Trump is succeeding. And that bothers you? You are one weak and warped individual IMO.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

So why not vote for him? Is it because of his economic policy? His stance on education? Obviously his hostile bigotry has produced quite a bit of admiration on your part so it can't be that.

I have my own personal reasons, but I'll say this, you're not going to agree with a candidate on every single issue, this is the very thing that liberals don't understand. You don't have to be in lock step and agree with every issue your candidate supports or opposes. I support Trump when it comes to the issue of immigration and the refugee crisis. We have a horrible weak president, a coward and a president that could care less about our safeties, illegals or shitting down the border.

I think we all meet bass' definition of non-partisan. He's just "outsmarted" us by saying he isn't.

Trust me, I don't need to outsmart anyone. I just don't believe in lying.

This is the part of the debate where you lose the energy to defend your points so you say no one is allowed to form an opinion based on the things you've said.

You think so?

Usually sandwiched around comments where you define us all as libs.

So now, I'm the bad guy for speaking the truth?!

The response will most likely be "that's right" as you mentally slip out the back door.

Buddy, I have NEVER done that. I'll go to the mat with anyone in any debate or physically. So on that, I assure you, don't have anything to worry about, so we can put those assumptions to rest. Also, I'm a very nice guy. I don't hold grudges and I may find someone's opinion looney, like most progressives, but at the same time, I'd buy anyone a good beer.

So you're saying not one 'fundamental basic' (sic) freedom has been eroded, that whil the president has been in office your freedoms have been secured.

I already did. Try again.

If I read your responses correctly, you're still free to purchase, possess and fire a 50 caliber weapon. To me, and correct me if I'm wrong, that means the US president has preserved your right to own this weapon which has extreme, ridiculously extreme, killing power.

This is the reason why Dems are trying to pass through the loophole of creating possible laws to charge the seller, possibly at gun shows or private gun shops, if that happens and a crime is committed and they go after the seller, that would essentially end the 2nd amendment because the sellers would be liable and that would put them out of business, which would make them go underground and sell guns on the Black market just like we had Prohibition back in the days. So yes, they are trying to sneak they way to circumvent the 2nd amendment in a way it doesn't seem too obvious.

Because, as you say, you can. But doesn't it worry you that any of the groups you've previously expressed fear of can also own these viciously destructive weapons?

No, because, I pack enough heat to thwart any threat that comes my way and I'm also very skilled when it comes to using firearms, so NO.

Or are you so equalitarian that you want everyone to own as many as they want?

I could care less what another American wants to purchase for their personal safety. As Americans we all have that right.

Please tell me what purpose a 50 caliber semi automatic might have. I could understand mammoth hunting, but am pretty sure they're extinct.

You are probably right, but the main thing is! I have the right, that's the only thing that matters.

Obviously, the Liberal Media has again stooped to rumors and twisting of words. They can't stop the Trump juggernaut with their lies so they should stop it, the lying they do.

I agree.

Obviously, also, there's no way to get the truth out about Donald J. Trump, who was only showing his patriotism by skipping the Vietnam war

Clinton was a draft dodger as well and the man smoked, but never inhaled.

and demanding the birth certificate of President Obama for some seven long years as part of a campaign playing to the prejudice of the Birther Patriots to protect America and make her Great Again.

There is a lot that we don't know about Obama, a lot of his college records are sealed, that does bring a lot of things into question.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Please tell me what purpose a 50 caliber semi automatic might have. - comments

Clears the room of living people really easily?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@Bass Could you please list just one 'fundamental basic' (sic) freedom that has been eroded? Does the PC that has replaced your basic fundamental freedom mean US Americans are no longer able to make bigoted statements.

The president being the most partisan president this country has ever seen for one and what's really astonishing is that Obama could care less what the people think. The majority of Americans do not want to take in these refugees and Obama doesn't give a.... You have 32 States where the Governers told the White House NO thank you, but Obama wants to force feed the issue and defy the very people that put him into office.

So you're saying not one 'fundamental basic' (sic) freedom has been eroded, that whil the president has been in office your freedoms have been secured.

Actually the only freedom I've ever heard you and the other NRA supporters mention is the freedom to buy guns. Which is very important. Are you still free to purchase a 50 calibre semi-automatic rifle or handgun? God, I sure hope so. But I have enough. Out of curiosity, why - beyond US laws allow it - would any civilian want or need a gun that fires a 50 calibre round? Whale hunting. Because I have that right to own one, that's MY choice and MY right. Because I can.

If I read your responses correctly, you're still free to purchase, possess and fire a 50 caliber weapon. Donald Trump held onto his commanding lead in the Republican race for the White House after his call for a ban on Muslims entering the United States was condemned worldwide, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll,

Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal called the 2016 hopeful (Donald J. Trump, American television personality) a 'disgrace to all America' - Reuters

Obviously, the Liberal Media has again stooped to rumors and twisting of words. They can't stop the Trump juggernaut with their lies so they should stop it, the lying they do.

As many have pointed out, Donald J. Trump, American television personality, is widely regarded as the best and brightest the Republicans can offer to make America Great again. (Did you know Donald J. Trump is really smart? Trump said so but none of the Liberal Media will publish it every time he says it, that's prejudice by the way.)

The Party of Personal Responsibility has been victim too long of these false reports of international disgust with Donald J. Trump's popularity in the GOP Shia-Tea as he has pointed out only truthful commandments about Mexicans, Muslims and Women, and being really, really smart.

Now, another victim, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has been lied to by the Liberal Media and rightly reacts with abhorrence. (Did you know the Prince isn't an American? So he's not as smart as Trump who is exceptionally smart.)

Obviously, also, there's no way to get the truth out about Donald J. Trump, who was only showing his patriotism by skipping the Vietnam war and demanding the birth certificate of President Obama for some seven long years as part of a campaign playing to the prejudice of the Birther Patriots to protect America and make her Great Again.

Still the Liberal Media keeps mentioning these falsehoods and people are so confused they don't know what to believe.

Luckily Donald J. Trump, American television personality and patriot, will tell them what to believe and if they question him in public he will have them removed and roughed up a little by goons to show how tough a guy Donald J. Trump is. That's how tough a guy like Donald J. Trump is.

That's why everyone Loves the Trump and that's why he's on a rocket ship to the White House that will explode truth all over those smug Liberal Media faces again and again and again. Like a truth rocket ship does.

It may be time to start vetting the Liberal Media more closely by deigning their entry into the 'big tent' of Republican indoctrination sessions, they keep making stuff up about the brain washing that isn't true anyway. Did you know Trump is really, really smart?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I don't like Trump as a president, he's not my guy, but I do support his directness, I love it. I love that he doesn't care about being PC or offending other people to make a point. Yes, a lot of what he's says can be over the top, but usually he has a lot of valid points.

So why not vote for him? Is it because of his economic policy? His stance on education? Obviously his hostile bigotry has produced quite a bit of admiration on your part so it can't be that.

smithinjapan: You've also said that you are "non partisan"

I think we all meet bass' definition of non-partisan. He's just "outsmarted" us by saying he isn't.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"The same reason why I would never support Obama or Hillary." But you like Obama better than Trump because Trump wants to raise taxes but Obama never really did. Obama did a lot of good for the company financially.

"God, I sure hope so. But I have enough." Do you have a machine gun?

"muslims who do no often condemn the Paris attacks" Like how?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Really? Because I just asked you about Muslims -- so thanks for saying "yes". It's pretty clear you support Trump's lunacy,

I support Trump's directness, different from his policy stance.

and that you don't really consider Muslims to be 'American' or Muslims dying to be of any consequence.

I care about Americans first and I worry last about the refugees. No one asked Obama to bring these people in.

And yet, you're not at all against Christians like the man who killed people, including a police officer, at the Planned Parenting rampage; a man whom many Americans also support, although behind closed doors.

He was a terrorist, no doubt, but if we make a list of radical Jihadists compared to White males unhinged, the list of radical muslims that have killed and attacked especially the ones in their host countries is extensive.

Excuse me?? This, from a guy who clearly said that you hate Donald Trump but would vote for him instead of the Democrats no matter what?

I sure did, yes, sir!

And now I think you are actually starting to LIKE Trump given some of his rants lately.

Depending on which rant you are talking about.

"I'm not a Republican."

hahaha... yeah. You've also said that you are "not partisan", despite being the most partisan person on this site.

Hey, you can't define me or tell me what or who I am. I think I would no that better. I just call out liberal hypocrisies to remind liberals that there is a reality outside of the unicornverse.

Could you please list just one 'fundamental basic' (sic) freedom that has been eroded? Does the PC that has replaced your basic fundamental freedom mean US Americans are no longer able to make bigoted statements.

Because I have that right to own one, that's MY choice and MY right. Because I can.

You say that a lot. I don't like Trump but....I don't support Trump but....I don't want Trump but... So why not?

Whoa!! Wait, son! You're all over the place, I don't like Trump as a president, he's not my guy, but I do support his directness, I love it. I love that he doesn't care about being PC or offending other people to make a point. Yes, a lot of what he's says can be over the top, but usually he has a lot of valid points.

Why don't you support Trump?

The same reason why I would never support Obama or Hillary.

Let's test your courage. Bubble dwellers are trained to keep their personal opinions silent.

This is why liberals annoy me, they are too scared with upsetting the liberal status quo.

And you think banning Muslims is going to stop illegal Mexicans?

It would if we had a president that would seal the border and knowing Trump, he would do that. You don't have borders, you have NO country. Simple as that. On that alone, he would get my vote.

That's because Hillary isn't a moron, and Trump is

You're right, she's not a moron, she's a lot worse, but I can't use that kind of colorful salty language on JT, but a few adjective come to mind.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

kazutsukai: He in fact brought the "immediate" problem to the forefront which Mr. Obama "by intent" and the legislators "by inability" allowed to slide by. If Mr. Obama used every "tragedy" to "preach" morality and America's wrongdoing, Mr. Trump just simply said "take immediate and practical ACTION".

This is not the bubble. You will need a lot more than clever vocabulary and anger to be taken seriously here. You can start by forming your own opinions and not cutting and pasting fuzzy right wing talking points.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

A Christian terrorist shot up an abortion clinic the same week.

Did I say Christian? No, I was talking about "Catholics" who are from Mexico. Git ur apples and oranges in order.

Whenever us conservatives mingle "radical islam" among muslims in general (or vise versa), we get blamed for mixing these two.

But hey- if the shoe fits radicals, it probably fits the "peaceful" muslims who do no often condemn the Paris attacks as much as the west. I wonder why.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

"President Carter "banned" Iranians for a time" Can you tell us more about this "Muslim" passport? It sounds very interesting.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

This "news service" and all other news outlets have left out half of Trumps proposal. Not a ban, but a pause until we get a better hold on vetting these this class of visitors and refugees. President Carter "banned" Iranians for a time during the hostage crisis on the same basis.

The left wing media (nowadays that is almost ALL media) is so afraid the Trump reflects the will of Americans they must lie continually about his statements.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

As mentioned Mr. Trump is a masterful communicator that by what he has said got the entire world to "react" and take "action",quickly and hopefully effectively. If anything he "woke up" the entire US to be not just aware but "vigilant" and start taking immediate action to resolve the immigration, the border, the security, the communication, and related problems. In the same light, his words "forced" all people including Muslims to "respond".

He in fact brought the "immediate" problem to the forefront which Mr. Obama "by intent" and the legislators "by inability" allowed to slide by. If Mr. Obama used every "tragedy" to "preach" morality and America's wrongdoing, Mr. Trump just simply said "take immediate and practical ACTION".

Now the entire nation and the world has a "view" as to the quality and effectiveness of the President an d the Legislators, including the other candidates. Others talk of could, would, and should with all their legalistic and idealistic rationale without any real practical time frame for action. The key is "take action NOW", not tomorrow.

Talk about why the media MUST follow him and keep up with him. He did not have to "buy" the media as Mr. Obama did. The media is making money from him and he dos not have to pay for any of it.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

So will we ever get around to discussing the details of this ban or should we assume there really is no plan? People here seem to like talking about their irrational fear of Muslims but they never go into detail about just how they will decide who is Muslim and can't come in.

I'm guessing there will be no coherent answer but thought I would ask anyway.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The comment made by Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump was not abnormal in the given circumstances and as such it was not expected to have an impact on his popularity as a leading Republican candidate for the next elections despite the sharp criticism of what he said by the Democratic hopeful Hilary Clinton!

"That's because Democrats and Liberals are hypocrites."

But Obama is better than Trump

Funny, whenever stories are posted on JT about Sanders, Hillary or even Obama, there is no way near the level of lies and hateful words posted on here as there are against Trump. I call Hillary a warmonger, but I'd never say she was a moron.

That's because Hillary isn't a moron, and Trump is. And no one needs to lie about Trump, because the truth about him is already so bad. And if you think garbage isn't thrown around about Hillary, you must have missed the 20 or however many Benghazi inquiries they've had that have found nothing. Same with the email issue - that has found nothing.

That said, Sanders is the man.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

During elections, it is not necessarily the details of what one says, but the "intent", the "emotion", the "simpleness", the "directness" and the "impact" of what was said that makes a difference. Take morals, ethics, and all other idealism aside, the key is to get and keep people's and media's attention till such time as specifics and details are needed. Mt. trumps is doing that masterfully.

That is exactly what Mr. Obama did. He said nothing of value except use the word "change" without saying what that change will be or how that change will affect the people. And by his rhetoric and action actually sent messages to the entire world that the USA shall NOT participate in world events as a leader or a police force of any kind.

Mr. Trump uses the same technique, but even better, since he is "impacting" everyone in the world with his direct and clear message which does not leave any doubt that he is a "realist" and will take "clear and effective" but "practical" action immediately. That basically will put the entire world on call.

Because the people of the USA also seem to show the same or similar thought (by the pole numbers), the world leaders are definite are paying attention. That is much more than what Mr. Obama has done during his entire Presidency. In fact is seem to "appear" that Mr. Obama by his action and inaction was actually "coordinating" the growth of conflicts and chaos from Iran's nuclear program to ISIS/ISIL and the divisive weakening of the USA. Although it has forced US allies to do more for themselves, including Japan, that does not help the USA or any of its allies at all against the religious and racial war being raged against the world.

Don't matter none. Mexicans are catholics, not muslims. Catholics are not as dangerous as Tashfeen Malik. Catholics would NEVER do what "muslims" did in Paris. Oh yeah, there a few Catholics in that country too.

. . . . To islamic martyrs like Tashfeen: "Dying aint' much of a Living."

How long do you think Trump is calling for Muslim's to be easily identifiable for the minority of Americans cowering in terror behind their doors armed to the teeth WC?

Do you think some yellow stars might do the trick?

Heh. This is the limelight you've all stepped in. Unthinkable only a few weeks ago but there you all are...

And you think banning Muslims is going to stop illegal Mexicans?

And as such they could have legally entered the U.S. with nothing more than their passports.

And?

You are proposing discriminating against 1.5 billion people because of the actions of a few.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

And as such they could have legally entered the U.S. with nothing more than their passports.

Only through the ESTA waiver who's purpose is to pre-screen every single individual entering the US.

I've just had to wait for hours just to get back into UK from France in the Eurotunnel. It's called common sense.

No place for the racist idiocy proposed by head lunatic Republican inmate Donald Judas Trump!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Do you know this for a fact? Are you a spokesman for them?

No. But if Tashfeen shot my sister, brother, or friends I'd want "those kinds of people" out of my country man!

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

There is already a vetting process for both refugees and immigrants.

With over 11 million illegals in the country this process is a shining success.

Because they were French!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Trump’s comments are being taken out of context, he is not advocating a ban on Muslims forever.

And that somehow changes something?

He is saying US should ban Muslims from entering the country until we have a handle on how to vet them properly.

There is already a vetting process for both refugees and immigrants.

The gunmen in Paris indicated they were able to come and go freely without French authorities even knowing they were in the country.

Because they were French!

Trump’s comments are being taken out of context, he is not advocating a ban on Muslims forever. He is saying US should ban Muslims from entering the country until we have a handle on how to vet them properly. Why is that so bad? Look at France and all of Europe. The gunmen in Paris indicated they were able to come and go freely without French authorities even knowing they were in the country. Given the incompetence of the current administration I'm all in favor of making sure we know what we're doing before we let people in who could be terrorists.

The attraction of his comments lies in the fact that he is the complete antithesis to Obama of whom I am heartily sick of hearing. I'm not alone in that.

bass: I don't want Trump but

You say that a lot. I don't like Trump but....I don't support Trump but....I don't want Trump but... So why not? Why don't you support Trump? Let's test your courage. Bubble dwellers are trained to keep their personal opinions silent.

IMO, the three craziest among all of the GOP crazies are Trump, Cruz, and Carson. In a recent poll, the three of them combined got the votes of over 60% of all Republican respondents - those likely to vote in a Republican primary. What does it say about the state of the Republican Party?

They're insane in the membrane.

Trump himself is a moron. That's why he's the perfect inmate to lead the Moron Asylum.

There's no need for intelligence when you can shout the loudest and blame brown people.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@Bass eroded our fundamental basic freedoms a

Actually the only freedom I've ever heard you and the other NRA supporters mention is the freedom to buy guns. Are you still free to purchase a 50 calibre semi-automatic rifle or handgun? Out of curiosity, why - beyond US laws allow it - would any civilian want or need a gun that fires a 50 calibre round? Whale hunting?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Imagine Donald's first trip to Saudi Arabia as president!! Luckily, that will never happen. The longer the GOP show goes on, the better for Democrats. Trump's 35% support must be pretty embarrassing for Jeb Bush, Cruz and the others.

@Bass eroded our fundamental basic freedoms and replaced it with being PC.

Could you please list just one 'fundamental basic' (sic) freedom that has been eroded? Does the PC that has replaced your basic fundamental freedom mean US Americans are no longer able to make bigoted statements?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

It's still ever so nice to see Republicans and, heh, "independent" conservatives now being openly bigoted and racist thanks to their new Führer Trump.

Honesty is always the best policy!

bass4funk: "I'm talking about radical jihadist Islam. Yes, that's correct."

Really? Because I just asked you about Muslims -- so thanks for saying "yes". It's pretty clear you support Trump's lunacy, and that you don't really consider Muslims to be 'American' or Muslims dying to be of any consequence.

And yet, you're not at all against Christians like the man who killed people, including a police officer, at the Planned Parenting rampage; a man whom many Americans also support, although behind closed doors.

"Just stop! You guys would never vote for anyone of the GOP candidates because you all know that pipe dream of a progressive utopia would come to a screeching halt. You guys will go off the cliff for Obama and you all know it."

Excuse me?? This, from a guy who clearly said that you hate Donald Trump but would vote for him instead of the Democrats no matter what? And now I think you are actually starting to LIKE Trump given some of his rants lately.

"I'm not a Republican."

hahaha... yeah. You've also said that you are "not partisan", despite being the most partisan person on this site.

Trump is running as a Republican - actually - and clearly is favoured by a majority of them.

Not by the establishment he's not, not even close.

How many Muslims have been murdered by Daesh? How many Sunni have killed how many Shia? How many Sunni have killed how many Sunni?

As sad as that is, I care about America and Americans and I want to have strict oversight when it comes to refugees and illegals, they don't have a constitutional right to come to our country and I don't want more people to die.

This sick tiny man has defined the GOP Shia-Tea, and now the Republican Party in the eyes of the global community, and they are his children who will wander in the desert of hate some forty years to finally take from civilization the last gasp of reality and ascend to the heaven of a really, really nice golf course where ignorant dolts carry the clubs of degenerate racists.

What on Earth are you talking about, dude?? Seriously......

(Luckily just about the time George W. Bush's seven trillion war on the world is paid off by the American Taxpayer)

But how will they start paying for the $38 Trillion of what Obama racked up?

So, there's still time for hope.

Hmmm, not so sure about that.

And maybe a vote for something other than an idiot's vision of perpetual racism and bigotry. That is clearly asking a whole heck of a lot from the Republicans who seemingly 'Love the Trump'

But seriously, how do we know that Trump is either a Bigot or a racist?

OK. I accept that. And you might very well be a representative of the GOP spirit.

I'm not a Republican.

But what does that say about you? Hillary is already controlling you and your politics to the point of spite. This is the same kind of logic that says that the best way to defeat Al Qaeda is to surrender just about every freedom you have.

That's pretty much what Obama is forcing us to do, enter gun sales!

This is the logic that merely blocking and hindering any Obama policy must be good for the nation. It makes tons of sense to a certain segment of America, but it is zombieAmerica, isn't it? How can that be reasonable?

Seems like his lack of policy is making less sense to the larger segment, the segment that deals with reality.

I mean, bring it down, and you are really saying that living in a theocracy, with few human rights, xenophobia, a tiny federal government, etc. wold all be ok as long as Hillary is not your President.

We are already living in an Atheist, intolerant society with very little human rights, with lots of racism and overly gigantic out of control, over taxed, out of control spending and wasteful entitlement as well as dysfunctional government, a government and a president that is unwilling to compromise on virtually any level.

You can call that a false dichotomy if you want, but it is no more false than saying Mickey Mouse represents your interests.

Not entirely sure about that.

In summary: "whatever." I said Trump represents the GOP, and that the GOP would rather embrace Trump than be a guaranteed loser in 2016, and you agree.

I don't want Trump but it's not even an open discussion if I have to make a decision for which of these clowns I want in the White House, I'm not going with the cackling woman

Can I go further? I daresay that for you, you would go for Trump even if you thought he would not win,

Yes

but if he merely gave the GOP the best chance. And that is amazing. Sacrifice the party, the nation, whatever... for Trump.

Liberals do it all the time, nothing different here.

That's bona fide fanaticism.

Just stop! You guys would never vote for anyone of the GOP candidates because you all know that pipe dream of a progressive utopia would come to a screeching halt. You guys will go off the cliff for Obama and you all know it.

He has given you and the party nothing, but he has your vote locked up.

True and Obama gave us nothing but s*** over the last 7 years and the people have had enough of him, Dems and their policies that have completely crippled the country and eroded our fundamental basic freedoms and replaced it with being PC.

I think a lot of people feel that way. Just willing to bet it all on a TV personality. How can the party and society accommodate such people?

It's called frustration with this administration and with the overall political establishment.

Of COURSE he still has their support and is still in the lead -- he espouses core Republican values: whites are superior, men are superior, the rich are superior, all the rest should serve or die off, whichever helps serve the aforementioned superior whites.

Ahhh and how about the Democratic values: fascism, open borders, capitulation to anyone that attacks us, Blacks and all minorities play in the victimization card and the grievance and compensation card, being the party of FREE stuff, stealing other peoples money, the poor shouldn't work, the party of refusing to create jobs, the party of giving huge entitlements, the party of astronomical overspending and heavy taxation and punishing success and vilifying accumulated wealth and to create an unequal, chip on the shoulder society.

That is what Republicans support.

Many, but not all. The vast majority of don't.

And before some of you try to deny it, might I remind you that those are the things Trump espouses, and he still maintains a dominant lead. So you can't say it is not true.

Yes, it is true, but for the wrong reasons. The people are tired of this administration and they are tired of this president and they see that this president will not do anything to protect the nation and he is weak and the people are flocking to Trump because you sound strong right or wrong.

Come on, you can't blame her for cackling as she watches Trump and the GOP reaching new levels of lunacy.

Judging by the recent FBI findings, her cackling is turning slowly into a big wet sweat.

Trump is the Republican Party. His supporters finally feel their racist views no longer need a filter and that's why they like him and keep him dominating the polls. Unless his supporters change (they will fade out due to demographics) he will continue to be the face of the party.

I don't remember Republicans here calling for a ban on Muslims before Trump said it, but now they all do. Perhaps they feel more comfortable being honest now that they have Trump. It makes you wonder what else they are holding back. Maybe bringing back segregation?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It's a pit of vipers.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Apparently, Carson is angry that Republican leaders are preparing for a "brokered convention" and has threatened to quit the party. A convention beginning without a candidate who has locked up enough delegates to be assured the nomination may be called "brokered" or "disputed," and his choice of the former (though it is more common) reveals his distrust of the GOP establishment.

While the establishment claims its recent moves on this front are simply to prepare organizers and brass for a rare situation, Carson (and likely Trump) suspect the moves are designed to facilitate coalescence of non-Trump delegates behind a single challenger who would have entered the convention with lesser grassroots but more establishment support.

The whole thing is unveiling as a combination of a circular firing squad and Laurel and Hardy, with all sides exclaiming, "Here's another fine mess you've gotten us into!" - and they're all right, and they deserve it. Ironically, even if the establishment managed to swing support to Cruz (the only candidate GOP nativists could stomach), they'd still end up with a unelectable nominee and a bitter, broken party to boot.

If you've been in the military and know anything about combat, you know full well most of the jobs are behind the lines where there are plenty of possibilities for old men and women in the rear with the gear. Volunteer! If people want war, they should volunteer their services. Directly and indirectly.

Are you saying you and your imagined community? Are you saying you are offering to volunteer yourself to the war, real or imagined?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Trump’s statement was by far the most dramatic response of a U.S. presidential candidate to last week’s shooting spree in California by a married couple whom the FBI later said had become Islamist militants some time ago.

This why his statements are justified. This is why muslims both "peaceful" or "radical" should just stay in the ME or stay stranded in Eastern Europe. There was hope at one time, but the terrorists in Paris & Tashfeen Malik (who was described as a "devout" muslim) sank their ship. Enough.

He has his core, that feel the same way he does - comments

The comment that Donald J. Trump, television personality, has earnest support behind his denigration of the People of Mexico (rapists and drug dealers in his announcement of candidacy for bigot in chief apparently); Believers in the faith of Muhammad (a unique and studied wisdom of the mono-theism shared by Christians and our brothers in Israel) and the reports of the Liberal Media that confirms the adulation the Republican Party holds for his documented commandments.

Point being, it is inexcusable to suggest anyone agrees with this bigot.

It is also impossible to criticize the beliefs and commitment of the American GOP Shia-Tea in their proto-religion.

Rest this criticism finally in the vehement and documented statements of Donald J. Trump, television personality.

How many Muslims have been murdered by Daesh? How many Sunni have killed how many Shia? How many Sunni have killed how many Sunni?

If people reduce this mess, which I think was started by western resource grabbers, to just a war of ideologies then I think you're missing the key part: it's a war about who gets the black gold. Now because the invaders have been in MENA so long, it's become a resource and ideology based war.

Get the invading armies out of MENA and I think eventually the ideological war will fade away.

How many suicide bombers do we read about weekly? How many Christians have been murdered under ISIS? How many innocent live were taken by extremist groups in the past ten years? Wars aside.

Again, how is this different to extremists of other religions/races/ethnicities?

100,000 to 1 likelihood a Muslim extremist will kill others compared to any other religious extremist.

Prove that please. It's one of those things the bigots spout, but with no actual basis in reality.

That's because Democrats and Liberals are hypocrites.

Trump IS the Republican party.

Bigotry only wakes up bigots.

I disagree. I don't think he's a bigot. He's running for president and using the last 3 decades of CNN/FOX/etc corporate dumbing down of the nation against them. I think it's brilliant, in a bad way. But if this is what it takes to break the establishments back, so be it.

Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said he disagreed with the proposed ban but voiced support for Trump, saying the proposal was meant to gain political mileage.

“I don’t think he means it. He has many Muslim friends. He has investments in Muslim countries. And at the same time he has only put this out of context just to gain some more votes,” he said

Mark says Trump won't be the nominee and that the GOP has options at the present time. Most respectfully, no, and ... what options?

In September, those sentiments would have been reasonable and mainstream, but in September, when everyone was doing Hitler analogies, it occurred to me that all Trump needs is a crisis or two, and I was thinking it would be Ukraine or China, not San Bernardino.

Anyway, Trump had his crisis delivered up and he came out the tough guy. That is all he needs. One or two more crises? You can bet somebody is already cooking them up. They will be served hot.

Now to the problem at hand. How can Trump NOT be the nominee? I predict he is going to get stronger over the next year, and he will get even better coverage and financing. The nomination is his to give away, and I don't see him giving it away. Do you? Does anybody? Bbbbbut the GOP has options. No. No it doesn't. Not a single candidate is going to risk upsetting the Donald, for one. And for two, if the Donald is forced to run as an independent, the GOP loses the election, no fooling. One is left to ask... will the GOP choose winning with Trump, or getting a guaranteed loss without him? I know the answer to that question.

That is the way this is going to play out.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

@the rat

The WPost has been attacking Trump since the beginning. Even to go after his SNL performance. Pathetic.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

As we see in recent years extreem Muslims from the ME and N. Africa do not tolerate other religious beliefs. And while Trump says almost everything magnified and intentionally controversial he is playing the political game his way and remarkably it's working. He's playing the game and getting all the attention.

Hypothetically if he were to be the nominee (and he won't be) his tactics will change dramatically and he would play patchwork to regain alienated voters.

And also to top it off, Hillary has lots of targets to debate with from any clever republican which can sink her ship real fast. At least the GOP has options at the present time.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Bigotry only wakes up bigots.

Well? How is it then that the ignorant are easily led? Sounds like more elitist East Coast Liberalism is denigrating, again, the wise and kindly ignorant who well know every detail and mouthings of their dictator of bigotry.

Typical. Another Liberal appeals to reason and science for their twisted questioning of television personality Donald J. Trump's army of gun toting, hysterical and threatening Republicans who deliver the nation of Washington into the stern and unquestionable guidance of Donald J. Trump.

Good luck with all that college know-it-alls. As wise, multi degreed, Rick Santorum once said:

I fail to see why Mr. Trump's proposal concerning a complete moratorium on immigration/travel of Muslims from terrorist countries is not responsible. Although I am a moderate and highly doubt I'll cast my vote for Mr. Trump next year, I do support his stance because any other proposal would depend upon this government's properly vetting people from those areas. Only Obama, the attorney general, Mrs. Bill Clinton, American regressives, RINOs and non-Americans (whom have no dog in this fight) believe that option will be successful. . . .

Oh yeah! Here we go again on the rubberneck merry-go-round of who can insult Trump the best. The establishment and their lackeys are running scared to their keyboards as we speak. KCJapan has probably woken out of his alcohol slumber just as this was posted.

Isn't it obvious enough that Islame needs to go through some kind of enlightenment? What better way to force their hand.

On the other hand, Isn't it also obvious that the west has been f$$king around in the ME for decades now and they are perfectly justified in seeking retribution?

And in the end, the discussion should be about oil and gas resources, or is that too heavy a topic here? Maybe so. So let's just keep it simple with the dem/rep rubberneck merry-go-round.

Most Republican voters said they were not bothered by his remarks

If the Liberal Media can be believed, the Republicans are well represented in their faith and allegiance to Donald J. Trump, American television personality.

We read:

Leaders in Britain, France, Israel and Canada denounced him, and the fallout hurt the real estate mogul’s global brand. A Dubai firm building a $6 billion golf complex stripped Trump’s name from the property.

How dare these pitiful detractors question the rulings and demands of Donald J. Trump, American television personality?

It may be feared some deception is afoot in the scientific polling of the Reuters/Ipsos.

Many here have made clear, Donald J. Trump, television personality, isn't the universal choice of the Republican Party.

OH! That Liberal Media!

Well, there they go again. Misrepresenting the kindly, fair and wise Republicans of American Politics.

How unfair to represent the cavalcade of condemnations of Donald J. Trump, American television personality, are somehow cheered by the GOP Shia-Tea.

Purposely attract and then feed the gullible, the ignorant, and the bigoted a steady diet of hate and fear for a decade and what do you expect to happen?? Donald Trump is simply saying plainly what GOP candidates have said for years using code words. The Republican Party is in shambles. It has become a cult of hate and fear and Donald is the cult leader.

And what's frightening is they (and actually all of their fellow US Americans) have easy access to military grade weapons, including semi-automatic 50 calibre rifles and handguns.

Brave Republicans voted after all for those on terror no-fly lists to be able to continue to purchase as many semi-automatic guns as they fancy. It only makes sense.

The GOP are closet Daesh supporters. As Donald Judas Trump's race-baiting war shows.

And let's not forget his family fortune came from selling the ashes of Jews and Christians burnt at the stake by the Nazi's.

“He’s really saying what everybody else is feeling,”

In her imagined community made up of the hard of thinking.

“There’s clearly a large segment of the Republican electoral base that responds very positively to the things Trump has been saying,”

And what's frightening is they (and actually all of their fellow US Americans) have easy access to military grade weapons, including semi-automatic 50 calibre rifles and handguns. What's even more frightening is many within this group use their private armories to threaten anyone, saying 'come and take it'.
