The first thing The Donald must learn (and Bernie Sanders too, to a certain extent) is that crowds don't necessarily mean votes. I have respect for Bernie, but none for Mr. Trump at all. He is nothing but a braggadocios buffoon !

Trump is right about one thing. I have no interest at all in watching the debate tonight. It's like going to a circus but there are no clowns.

CNN is showing long lines forming outside the event. Is this the first time they’ve covered Trump’s crowds? Priceless.

This is why Trump makes me nervous, the guy is too thin-skinned. When you say something or try to give the man some constructive criticism, he has to attack you in the most vicious and obnoxious way, undermining his credibility as being a sound and rational president. He needs to stop acting like a spoiled brat. He should went on and just deal with Megyn. But because he can't get his wish, he storms away from the debate? The guy is truly amazing.

As if we didn't know already, but this man is demonstrably unfit to be President of the US.

But that is why 40% of Republicans like him. His unfitness is not a bug.

Its a feature.

And that is why, as you all know,

the Republican party must be destroyed.

I think it was some due to Megan and the unpleasant experience of the first debate but mostly to the snarky taunting statement of Roger Ailes. Why shouldn't he say screw it and beat these people at their own game ? Or try to at least.

the Republican party must be destroyed.

Gee, the 2nd amendment wasn't enough for you Sabbath? I guess you want to take away the 1st as well.

This has nothing to do with Megyn Kelly and everything to do with Fox/Google trying to ambush him at the last debate before the primaries. Google is sending 'youtube personalities' to ask questions, including a Muslim Bernie Sanders supporter that has compared Trump to Hitler. The entire thing was a setup to begin with. Trump didn't plan to attend this debate to from the start. This entire move was planned.

When do you think I'm exercising when I say "the Republican party must be destroyed."

My biceps?

Love or hate Trump, you have to acknowledge that he is outplaying the Establishment on both sides.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"I am what I am from my rump to the stump," said the Great Trump with a mighty humpf.

Perhaps, but who else do we have? Hillary and Sander are equally as bad.

But that is why 40% of Republicans like him. His unfitness is not a bug.

Neither is Hillary's for the Democrats.

And that is why, as you all know, the Republican party must be destroyed.

You going to throw in the Democrats as well, I think they're just about tender.

When do you think I'm exercising when I say "the Republican party must be destroyed." My biceps?

My thing is, I'm with you, but for some strange reason you seem to leave out the socialists Democrats that want to impose more big government. I say, we put them all in a blender.

This has nothing to do with Megyn Kelly

Oh, yes, it does. It has everything to do with him being a childish wuss because she doesn't bow to him and good on her, she asked him a completely legitimate question and he got testy. He's thin-skinned, always has been and they want to make this guy president? If he can't handle Megyn, how can he handle Putin or the Chinese? By hurling bombastic insults?

and everything to do with Fox/Google trying to ambush him at the last debate before the primaries.

By asking a perfectly legitimate question, but the Trump supporters thought it was mean, give me a break. Trump was just pissed off because he had zero control of the debate and the questions weren't to his liking.

Google is sending 'youtube personalities' to ask questions, including a Muslim Bernie Sanders supporter that has compared Trump to Hitler.

Then you deal with that question, simple as that.

The entire thing was a setup to begin with. Trump didn't plan to attend this debate to from the start. This entire move was planned.

Believe me when I tell you, no one misses him, Trump might be shockingly surprised. At now the other candidates can breath some air and get a chance to say something without Trump sucking out all the oxygen.

Is there a dark horse out there waiting for the dust to settle before entering this crazy race?

Trump is right about one thing. I have no interest at all in watching the debate tonight. It's like going to a circus but there are no clowns.

Actually, it's more like going to a circus with nothing but clowns.

"Is there a dark horse out there waiting for the dust to settle before entering this crazy race?" On the Republican side I'm thinking Christie

"On Thursday, Trump posted seductive photos of Fox News host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly from a 2010 GQ magazine shoot on his official Twitter page"

On the page with the seductive photos - "Crticizes Trump for objectifying women... Poses like this in GQ magazine"

bass4funk, what makes you say that Bernie is bad, have you looked at his voting record or the things he stands for or against?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I've been reading "Art of the Deal" and it gives a lot of insight into how Trump operates. To what extent he would be a great politician no one knows but the bravado and bragging are strategic, they get results.

Here is a PowerPoint-type presentation that summarizes the book:

I read it years ago. It's a good read for business.

But business does not equal politics, and unfortunately what makes him a good businessman would make for a bad politician.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

@Strangerland That's what I tell people when they give me ''He's a sucessful businessman'' as the reason they support him. I haven't heard any convincing reasons to really support the guy, and I'm pretty sure there aren't any.

Did you guys catch Bill O'Reilly the other day literally BEGGING Trump to reconsider and join the debate? It's pretty clear that whomever is dumb enough to vote for Trump is going to vote for Trump whatever he does or doesn't do, and in fact eat it up when they should be questioning it. He is correct when he says he could shoot someone and Americans would still vote for him (long history of the US supporting white bigots who shoot others aside, again, those who support Trump will support him regardless).

What's also clear is that while it is childish, it is a calculated and smart move in hurting FOX -- without Trump, ironically, the debate loses credibility as he is the front-runner, and there is absolutely no doubt a large number of viewers will at the very least switch between events if not avoid tuning in to FOX altogether in order to watch Trump's event.

As for Jeb 'the sad turtle' Bush saying it's going to hurt him... how? It'll give all those loonies a chance to support each other in their opposition to Trump, but if they waste their time on that it won't be much of a debate. It also gives a chance for Trump to lash out at them without any interference or back talk.

It won't hurt him at all.

"My thing is, I'm with you, but for some strange reason you seem to leave out the socialists Democrats that want to impose more big government. I say, we put them all in a blender." Trump plans higher taxes and more public healthcare. There is no one left on either side.

Trump and his dad made their fortune off the government, you can see a bit of the crony capitalism at work in this 1991 testimony before the House.Economic Recovery committee. But behind the carnival barker demeanor of today there is obviously an extremely serious, crafty and intelligent guy.

Trump plans higher taxes and more public healthcare. There is no one left on either side.

We don't know that.

Did you guys catch Bill O'Reilly the other day literally BEGGING Trump to reconsider and join the debate?

For his own exposure, definitely would have been better for him, as far as him being broadcasted in peoples homes.

But how do you know he's a bigot. Do you have concrete facts to back that up besides some of the looney things he says? You libs talk about we can't prove Hillary is a liar, then you can't prove that Trump is a racist or a bigot. If you have hard concrete facts that can support and prove that he is a racist, then I will buy what you are saying.

What's also clear is that while it is childish, it is a calculated and smart move in hurting FOX -- without Trump,

How is it hurting them, in fact, that might be just the thing they need, a break from Trump and allow the other candidates to get some air to talk about the issues that are of great concern to the American people.

ironically, the debate loses credibility as he is the front-runner, and there is absolutely no doubt a large number of viewers will at the very least switch between events if not avoid tuning in to FOX altogether in order to watch Trump's event.

Ok, so FNC might loss one night, if so, that's nothing to even lose sleep over.

That in itself is hilarious watching a 69 year old acting like baby.

It won't hurt him at all.

As well as the FNC.

But how do you know he's a bigot. Do you have concrete facts to back that up besides some of the looney things he says?

Um, the looney things he says are what show him to be a bigot. You realize he is the one saying them, right? Not someone speaking about him.

You libs talk about we can't prove Hillary is a liar

If she's lied about something, it can be proven. But where there's no fire, there can't be smoke.

Yeah, O'Rellly offered to buy him a milkshake. First, THERE WILL BE BLOOD and now this.

Milkshakes are finally getting their due.

Brought you buy Americans United for Milkshakes.™

Strangerland: If she's lied about something, it can be proven. But where there's no fire, there can't be smoke.

Keep them blinders on, you'll be happier that way.

Lawyers are professionals at hiding and twisting the facts. There can be fire and they'll convince you there's not even smoke.

Someone posted this link a few days ago ... plenty of stuff in there.

Hillary's team copied intel off top-secret server to email

It doesn't even seem like that should be technically possible. The aides supporting her in this effort went to an incredible amount of effort and risk. Someone is going to write an expose on this if they haven't already.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Um, the looney things he says are what show him to be a bigot. You realize he is the one saying them, right? Not someone speaking about him.

Still doesn't concretely confirms that the man is a bigot.

Yet.

Yeah, O'Rellly offered to buy him a milkshake. First, THERE WILL BE BLOOD and now this. Milkshakes are finally getting their due.

I wouldn't call it begging. Didn't see him on his knees, more like trying to rationalize and talk some much needed sense, which Trump never seems to take.
