The elections over. You can cut the drama queen stuff now.

The drama is only beginning. These are real questions raised by a inconsistent and hate mongering president elect.

Winning isn't a final mandate or acceptance of a policy, especially with this election where people voted for their least hated candidate.

Yes, there is always political backlash with any extreme policy. Yes, Trump's policies (what little he has said in terms of policy) are extreme. One party cannot freely tread on the rights of others without backlash.

Yes, Trump is like Hitler in that he used scapegoats and sunk to the lowest common denominator to generate support. However, he has lied and vacillated so much, there is no telling what his policies are. Many of his so called policies would be criminal, e.g., waterboarding, bombing the sh*t out of ISIS, which would include killing civilians in mass.

Trump is drama incarnate.

Trump should release his taxes as an act of good faith.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Geez Serrano, there's no rule saying Trump can't release his returns publicly. Blaming the IRS, wow!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"Are we ever going to get to see Trump's tax returns?"

As Hillary would say, what difference at this point does it make? lol

They are still beng audited, Trump can't help it if the IRS is so slow.

Are we ever going to get to see Trump's tax returns? Or are they now going to be sealed forever under executive order?

'Trump has done more in the last 2 days'

The most newsworthy thing Trump has done is meet Obama for the first time. That is something Obama never got around to, meeting himself.

Someone's going to jail? You might want to get on the horn to FBI director Comey, who has announced otherwise twice this year. For a little courtroom drama, let's see how Trump does in a federal courtroom this month with the world watching.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

After dissing Trump during the campaign, calling him unfit for the job, Obama has been brought to heel. He' s probably hoping he doesn't have to go to jail along with his partner in crime next year.

Trump has done more in the past 2 days than Obama has done during his entire time as POTUS.

"Gonna miss Obama. He did a great job"

No, in fact he did a piss poor job.

"But I don't think I am capable of supporting this new presidency."

Oh well, I guess we'll have to get things done without your help.

"A bad joke begins thusly: A grifter and a super model walk into the White House...."

Sore loser much? lol

Obama once again proves he's one of the classiest guys out there.

I've never cared much for Barack Obama, but I think he expressed the hopes of most people when he said of Donald Trump: "We now are going to want to do everything we can to help you succeed because if you succeed the country succeeds." I hope that the protesters are listening.

Badsey, did you mean to write grateful? You know the education system is lousy when you get misspellings two words deep into an insult. Hint: the band name Grateful Dead came straight out of the dictionary, which is how those crafty libs nailed the spelling.

A big thumbs up to Obama for being so positive in the handover of power, and a big thumbs up to Bush 8 years earlier for clearly doing the same. Regardless of which side you support, the respect for the votes of the people shown by BOTH sides needs to be acknowledged. Weirdly... I actually think that when Trump leaves office, he'll be as equally gracious and helpful as both Obama and Bush were. For Clinton supporters, this is a small but important renewal of faith in democracy...

badseye3, heh, did you mean "posters" or "posers"?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

A greatful day for the Trump steamroller who decimated Obama, DNC, Democrats, media, RNC, many Republicans and the Lib posters on JT.

where IS Obama on this? And also not a word out of hillary. Leadership??

TorafusuTorasan: Ha, I knew Trump wouldn't be able to take it. He has already gone back to his old ways: Twitter rants about "professional protesters" as if they need pay stubs to protest.

Because Soros and/or Creamer or whoever are still posting the $16/hour craigslist ads hiring protesters, and Obama hasn't told them to cut it out. Because I'm pretty sure they'd listen to Obama, especially if he called them out publicly.

My prediction, the Republicans will lose their house and senate majorities in the next election. Cancel Obamacare and leave millions without insurance while health care cost skyrocket. Deport millions. Curtail women's right to choice. Every action has a reaction. Governing is not easy and fraught with risks. I'm hoping for the best, but I fear for civil rights. Oh, and that we may have elected our own version of Hitler.

Time to watch Republicans make American's angry and revolt in the next elections. My prediction, the Republicans will lose their house and senate majorities in the next election.

FizzBit: How many voted for Hillary just to keep the free food rolling in

All water under the bridge now. Lets hear your party's proposals. You can't talk about Hillary for the next 4 years.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

How many of those are poor white folk living outside major cities? The majority you say? But they aren't Trump's base?

It must be a hassle going to the nearest post office to pick up their "food stamps." Do they have cool pictures on them? Oh wait, is this 2016 with poor people in the world's wealthiest nation using prepaid cards? What's the problem--not enough homeless and starving for your liking, Scrooge?

43 million Americans on food stamps. How many voted for Hillary just to keep the free food rolling in, and not for any policy issue.

nandakandamanda: The people chose Hillary, surely.

maxjapank: Actually, the people didn't choose Trump. The electoral system did.

They are only 300K or so votes apart in the popular vote, with a large number of votes to be counted, especially overseas and military absentee votes. Something like 2M, I think. I was looking at this the day after the election and a lot of the 'Hillary won the popular vote' stories dated from early hours when even more votes would have been uncounted. California won't have the official tally out til early December.

Also don't forget the vote-rigging that took place in the Democratic primaries. Do you think they magically turned that off for the general election?

Here is a description of how unlikely the poll-vs-result discrepancies were unlikely to be due to anything other than vote-rigging: http://marionumber1.blogspot.com/2016/09/election-fraud-part-4-clinton-shift.html

Here is a description of how easy it is to buy voting machines and disassemble them and obtain the firmware (the author bought 5 machines from a government surplus for $82 plus s/h, original cost around $5000 per machine, and they were almost identical to machines in use at his poll station the same year): https://www.cs.princeton.edu/~appel/avc/

How I bought used voting machines on the Internet

Here is a description of how voting machine firmware can be hacked and how vulnerable it is: https://voter.engr.uconn.edu/voter/wp-content/uploads/sac09.pdf

Great thing for the world, the election of Donald Trump. All the student protesters just have to accept there was an election and the people chose Trump. So just accept it and go back to school, the fun is over.

Disdain, craca? The article states that Trump spent years spreading lies about Obama's origins, and the picture shows Obama looking at Trump like an adult, while Trump gazes at the floor. Shameful Trump cannot even return the gaze of his countryman! So explain who is showing disdain and disrepect to whom.

Will be fascinating to behold how long Trump withstands the forced magnaminity before cracking.

I await a clenched speech praising federal judge Curiel in his Trump U trial. "I'm lucky to have the best judge ever to grace the blah blah" will be the slick PR move. In private, I like to picture Trump cursing to himself about La Raza and immigrant parents and tearing sheets of paper into tiny shreds until they cover his desk like a Siberian snowdrift.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I wonder if Trump would have been as magnanimous if he'd won the popular vote but lost the electoral college to Hillary?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

He is President and it will all be alright. All the outrage is just a waste of emotion.

agreed, too late for Obama, Pope or Mob to regret now.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Gonna miss Obama. He did a great job, despite the unwillingness of Republicans to work with him. Wish I could be more like him. But I don't think I am capable of supporting this new presidency.

“We’re going to move very strongly on immigration,” he said. “We will move very strongly on health care. And we’re looking at jobs. Big league jobs.”

Good luck. You won't have Obama and Hillary to focus on anymore. All eyes are on you. Let's see what you can produce.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

It is just a photo opt, for image even thought is important; but lacking of substance, thereof. Obama was a wrecking ball that destroy Democratic party since last midterm election and into the future. He bad mouth Bush since day one ,and maybe Trump turns the table on him by speaking straight to people without all trashy deceptions. Clintons who made Dems as their pawn are finished while turning Democratic party to chaos, no leadership, clueless, corrupted into extreme left corner that will lead to more disaster ahead. O the other hand, Trump revamps the Republican into a new platform that must be absorbed. Suddenly, Clinton charity ( racketeering cartel) will loose donors, and without Obama's pardon, they might take new residency with orange clothes dwellers. For Obama, another smoke and dreaming of legacy that dissipated into dark thin air of narcissistic in another universe. Last, his minions who ignore the will of people (basket of deplorable) will continue screaming and searching for answers in Potville with Sanders and Pocahontas!

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Never too early to lobby for a pardon in the upcoming Trump University fraud trials.

Check for your wallet after the meeting, Mr. Obama. Chances are Prez-elect Temp will have grabbed it.
