The thing with Donny is that you never know when he's going to turn on you via twitter. What a suave, intelligent, competent president said nobody with a measurable intelligence.

The US needs more Indian immigrants!

No surprise that Trump and Modi get along so well. They're both arrogant bullies who dislike Muslims, and are happy to stir up fear and hate to accrue power.

The US needs more Indian immigrants!

Trump’s administration has been cracking down on legal immigration. And no more than 7% of new Americans can come from any one country, meaning that there is no way to specifically increase Indian immigrants.

Did President Trump just lock down the Indian-American vote?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Howdi Modi my man in India has Trump chases the vote.

B2 Indian workers have been refused more since Trump became president.

Bet Trump has never even ate a curry Mac?

Bet Trump has never even ate a curry Mac?

Bet Modi has never had a big T-bone steak either. Not that it matters.

What is so interesting is how the American Left is going to explain Trump holding hands with a "person of color" and welcoming a crowd of immigrants from a non-Christian country. Kind of goes against the whole "white supremacist" narrative they have been painting since Hillary's ignanimous defeat. Oh well, there is always 'Russia Russia Russia'.

Yeah well the real terrorism is dropping bombs from high in the air not being quite sure where they are going to land or on who and/or invading and shooting up countries on the basis of lies. Second would be invading homes in the middle of the night and killing the occupants for daring to be surprised and shooting at you (or not) even if they are 8 year old girls (Nawar al-Awlaki). Third would be people blowing themselves up in public spaces. But a notable forth would be the daily flying of terror drones over civilian cities and towns whether there is an actual target being sought or not. What does Trump propose to do about 1,2 and 4? Order his own military to capture him dead or alive?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

I don't know anything about India or Modi, but the fact that he has just chosen one terrorist over another while decrying terrorism does not look too good.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Trump trying to counter the American Jewish vote which is greater and mostly democrat.

for religious reasons, yes.

Of most immigrants that I have met around the world, I have noticed that Indians of all creeds take an above interest in family, education and attempts to be successful.

Surely, an addition to any country.

So is this Trump's and the US approval of India's clamp down on Kashmiris'? It the US approving India's treatment of Kashmiris and the declaration of marshal law in Kashmir, the use of military force in Kashmir?

Really? I find it interesting Modi is standing next to a guy that said some White Supremacists were "very fine people"....

Maybe they should invite Repub Rep Steve King on the stage - you know, he of "what's offensive about the term white supremacy"?

The are six Indians in the House of Representatives, all democrats.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

So, according to the US, Kashmiris who want independence are terrorists but HKers are freedom fighters! This sums up nicely US foreign policy.

No surprise that Trump and Modi get along so well. They're both arrogant bullies who dislike Muslims, and are happy to stir up fear and hate to accrue power.

They both hate the jihadi variants, and ever since Modi ended the medieval triple talaq (instant divorce), his vote share among the Muslim women and educated Muslims is steadiy increasing.

Also, they're proud to become Americans.

The crowd was chanting 'USA' pretty loudly at the event.

"The crowd was chanting 'USA' pretty loudly at the event."

What else would they chant if they live in the USA?

Obvious.

The two leaders, like-minded nationalists

Trump looks out for America, Modi looks out for India. As it should be. Right, lincolnman?

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

I don't see much condemnation of India's treatment of Kashmiris. What about police brutality, police violence?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Around 80% of the Indian Americans support the Democrats, so not surprising to see Donny desperate for their votes.

Hardly known for his celebrations of ethnic diversity, Trump said to Indian-Americans, "We love you."

I spilt my coffee reading that.

Almost but not quite;

Trump looks out for Russia (and his Master Putin) and Modi looks out for India.

There, fixed another one for you...

The entire rhetoric of Modi’s party is based on extremism and fascism.

The attacks on non Hindu population of India has increased exponentially since he came into power.

Sometimes I envy the lying skills of these crooked politicians.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Given that these two men themselves are constantly fighting against human rights, their statement that they are united in fighting terrorism is absurd. Their actions breed terrorism.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Its long time ago when modi committed the massacre of Gujarat.

Modi happened to be on terrorist list and denied US entry.

He is doing same thing in Kashmir now.

But we can join hand with him for few votes that will not benefit in the end.

Desperate times I say.

That's funny, coming from a guy who just stood there and did nothing as governor of Gujerat when innocent Muslims were being murdered.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

In the NE near Bangladesh all residents were required to register for citizen iD and had to prove they were born in India. This has excluded more than one million Muslims from Bangladesh who are now technically stateless but Bangladesh has said they can't return there.

So they're going to fight each other, then?

Yes, the pot calling the pot black.

That's funny, coming from a guy who just stood there and did nothing as governor of Gujerat when innocent Muslims were being murdered.

Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat and not Governor, and innocent Hindus were murdered in that Godhra training burning attack, following which the riots happened, do some homework, and yes all of this was planned to get rid of Modi, but Modi was/is a very strong grassroots leader, and knew exactly what was happening. No amount of deceit, subterfuge could dismantle him, he kept on winning local state elections and later national elections.

Which Kashmir are you referring to, PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) or the 5 districts of Kashmir on the Indian side ? If you mean all of Kashmir from a Indian perspective, than that is yet to happen, i.e. the Indian takeover of PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). Now once that happens then you may have a point.

The situation is HK is very different in that the managed catholic protestors are also British nationals, they never were part of China, the land has gone to China, but the protestors are all but westernized, and most of them are fine re-locating to the west, since 1990 more than a million have already re-located.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

mrtinjp: HK protesters are not British Nationals; they are British Nationals (Overseas). They  are not British citizens.

Hong Kong was part of China until the Britain annex HK under duress as a result of the Opium Wars. The people were originally Chinese, other than the British overlords, and were treated as inferior to the ruling British and, were in fact, called coolies by the ruling British. As China does not recognise dual citizenship, the British Nationals (overseas) are regarded as Chinese citizens. You claim that many have been "westernized"  but by the clashes between pro-and anti-Chinese protesters shows, many still consider themselves Chinese and not "westernized". Protesters that want the Western lifestyle are free to leave HK and seek that lifestyle. The ringleaders of the riots are travelling the globe seeking support so it is obvious that those seeking to leave may still do so.

Yes, I am well aware of this fact, also how Opium was used to control and subjugate the population..

As China does not recognize dual citizenship, the British Nationals (overseas) are regarded as Chinese citizens

Yes, but since they have BNO (British national Overseas) passports, they can easily migrate to anywhere in the west, Canada and Australia are among the favorite destinations..

You claim that many have been "westernized" but by the clashes between pro-and anti-Chinese protesters shows, many still consider themselves Chinese and not "westernized". Protesters that want the Western lifestyle are free to leave HK and seek that lifestyle.

Well the protesters are fully westernized, this is due to the catholic western education, majority of them are Catholics and are fully westernized, they consider themselves more english than chinese, and no I am not making this up, this is a fact, some of my past western educated managers (chinese) always considered themselves more english than chinese. One more thing, why do you think majority of the HK locals have/prefer english first names, what does that tell you.

Now the pro-chinese protesters are the ones who have migrated from mainland China in the last 20 yrs, there protest is managed from the mainland, just like the anti-chinese protesters are subtly managed from abroad.

Dead? You wish. We found out your boy tried to collude with Ukraine this week - and he admitted it!
