This guy is still around? Time to focus on quietly ushering out Foreign Asset Gabbard.
plasticmonkey
What a joke the GOP Senate has become. Hegseth is so obviously unqualified and unfit to lead the DoD. It doesn’t matter how strongly you hate a “woke” military, it’s dumb to let this guy through.
dagon
So we know he is doing well, is high energy, is a winner.
Will he make the DoD great again? Will he save it from the woke mind virus?
Trump has the televangelist gift of saying volumes while providing absolutely zero of merit and content.
bass4funk
Wait, but the Dem Senate led by Chucky is good? Really now? lol
So what were Tony Blinken’s credentials?
Well, that’s your thinking, I think the military would benefit from an American patriot, one who isn’t woke and one who will make the military the institution it always historically was, we need more recruits and not less.
If he’s confirmed absolutely.
The left are the very last people to accuse anyone of providing zero merit or content.

”You vill fall in line!” barked Don Jr.
bass4funk
She’ll be confirmed
Norm
Tony Blinken wasn’t the Secretary of Defense.
plasticmonkey
empty cliche
doesn’t respect women, what a mensch!
Have you heard lots of complaints from within the military? I haven’t. It’s mostly hot air from the right wing propaganda media to instill outrage among its gullible followers.
plasticmonkey
What makes her qualified to be in charge of national intelligence? She’s a “patriot”?
What a clown show the GOP has become.

The same Articles about this same guy every single day here.

As the esteemed John Fetterman said, don’t forget that Trump won the election so he should get his nominees.
No Dem voted against any of Biden’s 21 nominees. We still have way too many RINOS to get out in 2026.
Tokyo Guy
I'm just curious as to if Trump does eventually throw him under the bus, what the reason will be.
It certainly won't be for any perceived moral or legal impropriety, we know that already. Heck, those things are practically prerequisites to get in close with Trump.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Democrats don't nominate sex offenders, foreign assets, and cronies.
Going to be a tough sell with troops on the streets to avoid Schumer smiling at ya.
TaiwanIsNotChina
You see, any MAGA senator with enough personal integrity left to shoot down these nominees already won an election without resorting to Large Body as the principle selling point.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Yeah, a patriot who literally has not found an enemy of the US she doesn't support.
bass4funk
Ok, so in other words, you can’t answer, I get it, I would be embarrassed myself, so you want to pivot and not address the lefts problems with their people whom they think are supposedly qualified.

Yes, and he doesn’t drink anymore, so now what?
You guys need to try harder.
Blacklabel
this is a really obsessive speculation you for some reason. Unless you would happen to be a criminal illegal alien in the USA you have zero to worry about.

Trump won the election and the senate majority for republicans, not these RINOs. Trump won the vote, they vote for his nominees. That’s how it works.
bass4funk
What makes the former Democrat darling of the left now all of a sudden not?
Always was
No, the Dems still just can’t get over that they lost. I get it, they lost so badly and embarrassingly.
Try harder.
Tokyo Guy
• Became a prominent television personality with Fox News.
If you're trying to sell him, you should probably leave that part out.
Blacklabel
neither do Republicans. Zero of the nominees have been charged and convicted of any actual crime. Absent that, confirm the nominees.
they all just getting “the Kavanaugh” to break the will/provide cover for weak RINOs to use unfounded “allegations” of things to vote no.
Norm
I can answer it, and of course I’m not embarrassed at all (no need to “absolve” me!).
But if I must get off topic for your sake?
OK, before becoming SoS, Tony Blinken was:
• Deputy National Security Advisor
• Deputy Secretary of State (Worked in the same department!)
• National Security Advisor to the Vice President
• And served in various positions in the State Department in the 90s. (Same department!)
And the list goes on. But now back to the topic of beleaguered Pete’s baggage…
bass4funk
Bingo! And this is a very crucial part of the nomination process.
funkymofo
Sexual assaulters stick together.

What proof? And don’t you think it’s odd that these stories seem to just come out of the woodworks when these people run for office and then now all of a sudden the media cares and the politicians care. Why don’t these people bring up these allegations before they go on TV or right when they campaign for office or before they run.
plasticmonkey
He’s not running for office. He will be going before the Senate whose job it is to vet the President’s cabinet nominees to make sure they’re fit for the job. That’s what the Senate is for, not to rubber stamp what the executive demands.
These stories come out because the nominees come under increased scrutiny. The allegations are not coming from libs.
Hope to become Secretary of Defense? Try controlling your drink and don’t abuse women.
