This guy is still around? Time to focus on quietly ushering out Foreign Asset Gabbard.

What a joke the GOP Senate has become. Hegseth is so obviously unqualified and unfit to lead the DoD. It doesn’t matter how strongly you hate a “woke” military, it’s dumb to let this guy through.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

“Pete Hegseth is doing very well,” Trump posted on his social media site. “He will be a fantastic, high energy, Secretary of Defense." The president added that "Pete is a WINNER, and there is nothing that can be done to change that!!!”

So we know he is doing well, is high energy, is a winner.

Will he make the DoD great again? Will he save it from the woke mind virus?

Trump has the televangelist gift of saying volumes while providing absolutely zero of merit and content.

What a joke the GOP Senate has become.

Wait, but the Dem Senate led by Chucky is good? Really now? lol

Hegseth is so obviously unqualified and unfit to lead the DoD.

So what were Tony Blinken’s credentials?

It doesn’t matter how strongly you hate a “woke” military, it’s dumb to let this guy through.

Well, that’s your thinking, I think the military would benefit from an American patriot, one who isn’t woke and one who will make the military the institution it always historically was, we need more recruits and not less.

Will he make the DoD great again? Will he save it from the woke mind virus?

If he’s confirmed absolutely.

Trump has the televangelist gift of saying volumes while providing absolutely zero of merit and content.

The left are the very last people to accuse anyone of providing zero merit or content.

“If you’re a GOP Senator who voted for Lloyd Austin, but criticize @PeteHegseth, then maybe you’re in the wrong political party!” he wrote on X.

You vill fall in line!” barked Don Jr.

She’ll be confirmed

Hegseth is so obviously unqualified and unfit to lead the DoD.

So what were Tony Blinken’s credentials?

Tony Blinken wasn’t the Secretary of Defense.

I think the military would benefit from an American patriot,

empty cliche

one who isn’t woke

doesn’t respect women, what a mensch!

and one who will make the military the institution it always historically was

Have you heard lots of complaints from within the military? I haven’t. It’s mostly hot air from the right wing propaganda media to instill outrage among its gullible followers.

She’ll be confirmed

What makes her qualified to be in charge of national intelligence? She’s a “patriot”?

What a clown show the GOP has become.

As the esteemed John Fetterman said, don’t forget that Trump won the election so he should get his nominees.

No Dem voted against any of Biden’s 21 nominees. We still have way too many RINOS to get out in 2026.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

I'm just curious as to if Trump does eventually throw him under the bus, what the reason will be.

It certainly won't be for any perceived moral or legal impropriety, we know that already. Heck, those things are practically prerequisites to get in close with Trump.

No Dem voted against any of Biden’s 21 nominees.

Democrats don't nominate sex offenders, foreign assets, and cronies.

We still have way too many RINOS to get out in 2026.

Going to be a tough sell with troops on the streets to avoid Schumer smiling at ya.

Any RINO votes No? Out in 2026.

You see, any MAGA senator with enough personal integrity left to shoot down these nominees already won an election without resorting to Large Body as the principle selling point.

She’ll be confirmed

What makes her qualified to be in charge of national intelligence? She’s a “patriot”?

Yeah, a patriot who literally has not found an enemy of the US she doesn't support.

Actually, the article is about Pete and his many scandals. If you scroll up, you can read it.

Ok, so in other words, you can’t answer, I get it, I would be embarrassed myself, so you want to pivot and not address the lefts problems with their people whom they think are supposedly qualified.

Hegseth:

-Military Service

-U.S. Army Officer: Hegseth served as an officer in the Army National Guard.

-Deployments:

• Served in **Iraq** and **Afghanistan** during the Global War on Terror. • Completed a deployment to —-**Guantanamo Bay** as part of his military service.

-Awards and Honors:

• Received two **Bronze Star Medals** for his service. • Earned a **Combat Infantryman Badge**.

-Education

-Undergraduate Degree: Graduated from Princeton University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics.

-Master’s Degree: Earned a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

Professional Career

-**Advocacy**: • Former executive director of **Vets for Freedom**, a non-profit advocating for U.S. military operations abroad. • Worked with **Concerned Veterans for America**, promoting policies affecting veterans.

-Media:

• Became a prominent television personality with **Fox News**. • Known for his conservative commentary on political and social issues. 3. **Authorship**: Wrote books, including *American Crusade* and *In the Arena*, focusing on patriotism and political philosophy.

Seems qualified to me. Quick libs, try and find something disqualifying. Lol

It’s very telling that he had to promise not to drink on the job (10th paragraph from the top). What kind of people have to make that promise when trying to get a job?

Yes, and he doesn’t drink anymore, so now what?

You guys need to try harder.

Going to be a tough sell with troops on the streets

this is a really obsessive speculation you for some reason. Unless you would happen to be a criminal illegal alien in the USA you have zero to worry about.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Trump won the election and the senate majority for republicans, not these RINOs. Trump won the vote, they vote for his nominees. That’s how it works.

What makes her qualified to be in charge of national intelligence?

What makes the former Democrat darling of the left now all of a sudden not?

She’s a “patriot”?

Always was

What a clown show the GOP has become.

No, the Dems still just can’t get over that they lost. I get it, they lost so badly and embarrassingly.

Yeah, a patriot who literally has not found an enemy of the US she doesn't support.

Try harder.

• Became a prominent television personality with Fox News

If you're trying to sell him, you should probably leave that part out.

Democrats don't nominate sex offenders, foreign assets, and cronies.

neither do Republicans. Zero of the nominees have been charged and convicted of any actual crime. Absent that, confirm the nominees.

they all just getting “the Kavanaugh” to break the will/provide cover for weak RINOs to use unfounded “allegations” of things to vote no.

I can answer it, and of course I’m not embarrassed at all (no need to “absolve” me!).

But if I must get off topic for your sake?

OK, before becoming SoS, Tony Blinken was:

• Deputy National Security Advisor

• Deputy Secretary of State (Worked in the same department!)

• National Security Advisor to the Vice President

• And served in various positions in the State Department in the 90s. (Same department!)

And the list goes on. But now back to the topic of beleaguered Pete’s baggage…

Bingo! And this is a very crucial part of the nomination process.

Sexual assaulters stick together.

What proof? And don’t you think it’s odd that these stories seem to just come out of the woodworks when these people run for office and then now all of a sudden the media cares and the politicians care. Why don’t these people bring up these allegations before they go on TV or right when they campaign for office or before they run.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

And don’t you think it’s odd that these stories seem to just come out of the woodworks when these people run for office

He’s not running for office. He will be going before the Senate whose job it is to vet the President’s cabinet nominees to make sure they’re fit for the job. That’s what the Senate is for, not to rubber stamp what the executive demands.

These stories come out because the nominees come under increased scrutiny. The allegations are not coming from libs.

Hope to become Secretary of Defense? Try controlling your drink and don’t abuse women.
