You can't heckin prevent credit cards from usury or banks from subprime mortgage lending!!!

The Trump administration has ordered the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to stop nearly all its work, effectively shutting down an agency that was created to protect consumers after the 2008 financial crisis and subprime mortgage-lending scandal.

Yeah, because consumers don't need protections from billionaires...

Under Chopra, the CFPB approved rules to cap overdraft fees by banks, limit junk fees, and has proposed restrictions on data brokers selling personal information such as Social Security numbers. The agency had also sought to address complaints about the alleged “debanking” of crypto firms and conservatives by seeking to ban contracts that could cause someone to lose access to financial services for making political statements.

Yeaaah, who needs any of those? It's Trump's America now, the consumer doesn't matter. The FDA will be next, because who needs foods and medicine checked? Nobody! Just the population be scammed and die from salmonella.

That’s not it, there are many, many jobs and positions within companies that are over-bloated or seriously unnecessary, so if we can cut all of the over-excessive spending in those departments, why not? They should trim off as much fat as they can.
