HIV AIDS - Made in USA

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV#History

AIDS was first clinically observed in 1981 in the United States.

But both HIV-1 and HIV-2 are believed to have originated in non-human primates in West-central Africa, and are believed to have transferred to humans (a process known as zoonosis) in the early 20th century.

HIV-1 appears to have originated in southern Cameroon through the evolution of SIVcpz, a simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) that infects wild chimpanzees

HIV-1 is thought to have jumped the species barrier on at least three separate occasions, giving rise to the three groups of the virus, M, N, and O

The earliest, well-documented case of HIV in a human dates back to 1959 in the Belgian Congo. The virus may have been present in the United States as early as the mid-to-late 1950s, as a sixteen-year-old male presented with symptoms in 1966 and died in 1969.

There's just been a new milepost in the market:

The longest-ever bull market for U.S. stocks has now ended Wednesday, closing an 11-year bull-run that started in 2009

It officially entered bear market territory when it marked a 20% decline from the most recent high - the first time since the 2008 financial crisis

H1N1 - Made in USA

The 1918 H1N1 (Spanish flu) came from the WW1 battlefield in France, although the first widespread reports were in Kansas with returning US soldiers (then other countries' returning soldiers reported it too)

The 2009 H1N1 (Swine flu) originated in Mexico, before quickly spreading to the US

The US is not even testing people in order to keep the numbers now, and they haven't taken any serious measures to contain the spread of the virus, yet they blame China that has quarantined half their population. Even the WHO said that the speed with which China reacted and took measures to contain the virus were, quote UNPRECEDENTED.

When is America going to apologize for H1N1 that killed millions of people worldwide due to the utter incompetence and lack of care on behalf of the US authorities? When is the US going to apologize for HIV? When is America going to apologize for killing millions of innocent people, women and children in the middle east? When are they going to apologize for bombing hospitals, schools and causing the refugee crisis in Europe? Oh that's right, never, because nobody has the media power to force them to apologize. The anti-Chinese hatred is disgusting. You are all despicable. I wanna say more but the mods are watching.

I’ve posted conspiracy theories but FWIW. Yes they are all excrement but they are just what you find on the net. When you read up on the coronavirus you find all kinds of things. Not saying what it is or isn’t. Anyone can look things up. Here’s a summary

1) Coronavirus from the US after 300 US military leaders met in Wuhan, China in Nov 2019. Virus breaks out two weeks later.

2) Coronavirus was an accident in the Chinese military lab in Wuhan in researching the invention of vaccines for the existing US patented coronavirus that could possibly be used against China in the event of war.

3) Same as 2) but not an accident but intentional CCP plan in retaliation of the trade war with the US. The Chinese authoritarian government can control and handle its population unlike the US.

4) US has a patent on the coronavirus (a strain of it, this is fact) and US drug companies are trying to patent the vaccine to treat the virus. This is a race with China for the patent to treat this virus that can be used as a weapon in the event of war. If the virus is a missile, US and China are working on their own anti-missile systems.

5) coronavirus has been around since the 1970’s. The military of each country will not reveal information due to national security interests. It is how Dean Koontz uses such leaked information in the novel, The Eyes of Darkness 1981 in which there’s the line “Wuhan-400 is the perfect weapon.” This imo is not a prophecy but fiction based on access to military information.

6) Bat soup and tiger exotic foods as the source of this virus.

Of these, my opinion is that it’s not 6) This narrative is too simple but who really knows what’s going on.

While it's certainly fun to sit around and get all mad about Trump and scream about racism every five minutes, the likely origin of this pandemic needs to be addressed. That origin most certainly is China, but moreover, the massive 'wet' markets common to Chinese cities.

Chinese wet markets contain nearly every sort of wild animal imaginable being kept alive and slaughtered in very close proximity, and they are the ripest of breeding grounds for viruses that can easily make the jump to humans. Until China makes some changes to these markets, our closely intertwined global community will continue to be vulnerable. Therefore, the origin of this outbreak most certainly needs to be acknowledged.

AT LAST!

A world leader who ISN'T a puppet of the prc communist china-nese.

You tell'em Trump!

I'm a big fan of science fiction as well.

Seriously, though, can you explain your line of thinking here?

When did outbreaks become flag waving events to whoop and cheer over?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Trump has been criticized for playing down the virus, contradicting his own public health officials and concentrating more on the economic fallout from the outbreak. In a speech to the nation Wednesday night he referred to the “foreign virus” that “started in China.” (He also worked in some digs at Europe for letting it spiral out of control there.)

Of course he did. That's what his ahem, leadership is all about - blaming everyone else in order to deflect from the piss poor reaction to the outbreak.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Most ordinary Chinese are innocent, stigmatized victims. The Communist leadership is chiefly responsible for the pandemic. Some local meat traders may be part of it, too. Don't forget, don't let them get away with punishments.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I thought the main reason many people hate Trump is because he's racist. Now I'm confused.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Which countries are fighting against trump ???. This is the comment of a big racists. trump was losing, therefore, he has to use another tatic, the only 2 parties that have the courage to fight with usa is China and all of Europe. This time , trump had gone too far . Killing human beings for trade ???.

I think we have much more pressing problems than pointing fingers at each other. There will be time for recriminations later.

In the meantime, I just hope the sane elements that surround President Trump can keep him focused on what needs to be done. If they fail to do so, many folks will die.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

These types of comments by officials and public leaders are nothing more than a racist slur and they should be ashamed of themselves.

To call this outbreak a "chinese virus" or anything similar I find quite disgusting.

“In recent years, several new human infectious diseases have emerged. The use of names such as ‘swine flu’ and ‘Middle East Respiratory Syndrome’ has had unintended negative impacts by stigmatizing certain communities or economic sectors,” says Dr Keiji Fukuda, Assistant Director-General for Health Security, WHO.

“This may seem like a trivial issue to some, but disease names really do matter to the people who are directly affected. We’ve seen certain disease names provoke a backlash against members of particular religious or ethnic communities, create unjustified barriers to travel, commerce and trade, and trigger needless slaughtering of food animals. This can have serious consequences for peoples’ lives and livelihoods.”

3 ( +6 / -3 )

The fact is it came from China. It may be made in China but it's not a fact.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

China bears a lot of responsibility, but it's now in America, so it's America's problem now too.

Still, US has big issues. US has one of the lower hospital beds per capita in the developed world. Officials higher-up keep saying there'll be enough testing kits for everyone very soon, but doctors on the ground say they don't see that being achieved anytime soon - there's just not enough testing capacities in labs and not enough man-hours labor to do all those tests. They have to find a more efficient way to do tests automatically. Even NY State isn't waiting for the CDC tests - they're trying to get ahead of the curve by using private labs.

Experts talk all about "flattening the curve"

"Flattening the Curve for COVID-19: What Does It Mean and How Can You Help?"

https://healthblog.uofmhealth.org/wellness-prevention/flattening-curve-for-covid-19-what-does-it-mean-and-how-can-you-help

The mortality rate for Covid-19 (2-3%) is already significantly higher than a regular flu (0.1-0.2%), but it could be much higher if the # of cases exceeds the # that the nation's healthcare can accommodate at any given time. As they say, it's the difference between being treated in a hospital vs. being treated in a hospital parking lot.

That's why Italy's Covid-19 mortality rate is so much higher (around 6%) - because their healthcare system cannot accommodate treating all the cases. Even more people die before the healthcare system can get to them.

The solution is to "flatten the curve"

Made in China, perhaps, but "Made Better with MAGA", without a doubt. Well done, Trump! Your denial of the severity of it,

What does that have to do with acknowledging that China is the cause of all this. Stop focusing on Trump, it’s better for your stress levels. Trump talks and that’s fine, he believes in what he wants fine, just turn on the TV when Dr. Fauci is on and you guys can feel much better.

and relying on your "hunch" (and now calling said quoting of yourself as "fake"), is what is going to ensure the US becomes the biggest carrier, and has the most deaths.

I think you’re jumping too quick into the deep end. It could be China for all we know.

Oh! But I love the socialized medicare plan you've claimed you're going to put in place for this pandemic! hahaha.

As if that would help. Lol

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

It was made in China, as were the avian flue and SARS. It should remind us again that making our supply chains dependent on that dictatorship with horrible environmental and labour rules is not such a brilliant idea, regardless of how many times the globalists claim that.

0 ( +7 / -7 )

How does blame China helps the situation in the US? If Americans believe that blame China can somehow magically make the virus disappear in the US,then go ahead see if that works, see if stock market can be saved by blaming rather than solving the problem

Made in China

I don't care about the supposed cover up with the Chinese government. What is completely unacceptable here is a President now endangering his own citizens. There are already a lot of idiots out there attacking asians over this. What Trump did will further embolden them and many others to take action. This will result in the engagement of innocent American citizens and residents. I've never seen someone in a place of power this reckless.

I don't care for Trump, but China should've told the world about this virus much earlier.

Made in China

If the shoe fits, wear it. It fits in this case. Not only was the coronavirus made in China, but it was made worse by the Chinese government trying to cover it up early on.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

......: It carries the "Made in China” label.

Hitherto, made in China has always insinuated cheap, substandard or even fake. How I wish this is true of the Corona. ( Covid-19).

6 ( +6 / -0 )

There's one thing the Trump administration wants Americans to remember about the coronavirus pandemic: It carries the "Made in China” label.

Well, that should be easy, just tell everyone to think of Trump's ties and Ivanka's shoes - they're all "Made in China" too...

Maybe in Wuhan...

Think about that next time you slip on one of those...

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I have no sympathy for the CCP dictatorship. They could have closed these "wet markets" with their strange animals and unsanitary conditions back in 2003 after SARS was traced to them. Not only did they fail to do so, they kept COVID19 under wraps even shutting up doctors who tried to bring it to their attention. They let all the Chinese tourists travel all over the world during the Lunar New Years. THey kept both the WHO and US CDC from immediately entering, and obviously pressured WHO to wait till this coronavirus was in nearly evry coutry before declaring a Global Pandemic. And to think they now have the nerve to "blame the U.S." , an obvious ploy to turn Chinese nationalism against the U.S., and away from criticism of the CCP for their mishandling in the early stages when it was most containable. Sorry, but to hell with China.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Right now who gives a crap where it came from, hell we could blame germany for giving us Trump. Wouldn't make one bit of difference.

People just want to find someone to blame, and take the focus OFF the problem right in front of their face.

I highly doubt the people who are sick with this virus give one crap about where it came from and only want to get well! THAT is what everyone should be focused on. That and stopping any further spread!

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Thank goodness that the economy has boomed under Trump during the last three years.

It can only help America withstand this current crisis and come through it well.

Wow! That is comedy gold!

9 ( +14 / -5 )

Others have already said that China, US and Japan will pull the "nationalism" card to save face! China started it first. Now the US is following suit, and Japan will follow all of them because they don't have any real leaders.

NK will blame the whole world.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

well being that it did come from China....whats the big deal?

2 ( +8 / -6 )

I'm not here to put China down as there are some good in the people out there and it is unfortunate for them that the actual people are powerless to make a change, at least for the moment. With this said there is truth in the US President words no doubt about that. This is not about the US President taking media attention from himself not in any means as he loves being the center of the media regardless bad or good and for those who have followed President Trump's career over time understand fully well his intentions. So totally disagree with @Trump unfortunately has followers who actually believe and hang on every word he says! So what the virus "started" in China, it does nothing to stop the spread, and all Trump is attempting to do is take the focus away from HIS problems.

So what is way way an understatement, question should not be so what but how does the world and their economies hold China accountable and responsible financially and economically? hmmm...but not to say I believe in conspiracy theories but there are few times where the conspiracy is actually true...so I have to wonder who was behind in pressing China to enhance this strain and who was responsible for ensuring they had their hands in it? Follow the labs and money...even off shore accounts are traceable.

There's one thing the Trump administration wants Americans to remember about the coronavirus pandemic: It carries the "Made in China” label.

If that's the case, then it stands to reason that that *orange *** infecting our White House  carries the label "Made in Russia".

Guys, the virus came from China. It's a fact! Get over it! Everyone is getting thier panties in a bunch over China's hurt feelings. Let's focus on getting help to people that need it.

Not getting my panties in a bunch over China's hurt feelings.

Am getting pissed off that instead of focusing on getting help to people that need it, Trump and the Republican party is trying to mask their own outrageous incompetence by blaming foreigners for everything.

7 ( +16 / -9 )

While Trump is clearly in ‘not my fault’ mode, this virus came out of China - fact. The CCP has to be pressured to do more in terms of improving health and safety and being open with facts.

I’m just surprised Trump isn’t on the conspiracy theory train about a bioweapon. Sounds right up his street.

5 ( +11 / -6 )

"the coronavirus outbreak that started in China and is now spreading..."

Fact. It started in China and the Chinese government failed to contain it while covering it up. Fact.

15 ( +19 / -4 )

Will this affect Trump/Ivnaka/Jared business arrangements with the Chinese Communist Party members they've partnered with?

Not surprising Trump's pointing blame away; story of his life.

Did he mention why his admin was so slow to react to this crisis?

Made in China

Exactly.

China's foreign ministry has taken offense at people blaming China. After Pompeo called it the “Wuhan coronavirus,” the ministry's spokesman said the description was “despicable," disrespected science and stigmatized China.

If you speak the truth and the truth makes China look bad then you are hurting China is what China is trying to say as if China can do no wrong. If there ever was a bully that blamed you for running your head into their fist, it is China.

The world should NEVER forget that this was China's fault. The Chinese government failed its citizens and now blames the world.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

I am certainly not a Trump follower, but cover-ups and denials in China went on for 6-8 weeks from the beginning of December, to the 5th of Jan when they announced they had a new virus on the loose. This then gave it time to spread just before the the worlds largest mass migration event, spreading it to every corner of China and beyond during the Chinese New Year.

How different would it have been if they had started investigating it, and publicizing to take precautions from the beginning? At least they would have been 6 weeks ahead trying to contain it before CNY.
