Sovereign actions of sovereign Governments mean zero to Trump.
Must be a lot of foot stomping in the White House.
Do returnees need foot shackles and manacles ?
Treat people with dignity....and Colombia will accept the people.
BTW flying a couple hundred people out, even daily, wont even come close to the "millions of illegals " the MAGA crowd claims are in the US.
Peter Neil
trump spending $850,000 to fly 80 people on military aircraft. in leg-irons for photo ops.
everything is for show.
the good news is tariffs will make some oil products and coffee prices go up, so americans can be richer, per his logic.
those 475 flights the last four years weren’t a problem.
Toblerone
Earlier Sunday, Petro said that his government would not accept flights carrying migrants deported from the U.S. until the Trump administration creates a protocol that treats them with “dignity.”
They are criminals. Petro is free to shower them with “dignity” after they arrive in Colombia.
travelbangaijin
These are the worst-of-the-worst convicted criminals who engaged in very violent crimes - these are not "80 people" - these are 80 animals with no respect for life
GuruMick
Travel above....well shouldnt they be in US prisons for offences on US soil ?
Methinks you exaggerate a little.
"Animals with no respect for life "
Any evidence to support this hyperbole ?

The game is OVER for Radical Left politics in South America, its absolute death knell, turning promising nations into DISASTER ZONES riddled with corruption, crime, and economic misery. Resource-rich Colombia is now a complete and utter joke, having succumbed to the same FAILED ideologies that destroyed Venezuela and is once again crippling Brazil. It's the SAME STORY: Leftist/Marxist policies promise "utopia" but deliver NOTHING but poverty and chaos, all while blaming the "evil imperialist" U.S. for their own self-inflicted failures.
Thank God that at least Argentina has finally woken up from its SOCIALIST NIGHTMARE and is clawing its way back to sanity - proof that rejecting Uber Leftist ridiculousness is the only path to prosperity for everyone willing to work. Colombia had BETTER learn fast, or it's headed straight for the same abyss as the rest of the continent. Hopefully these measures are a wake-up call.
bass4funk
They broke the law, yes, with the help of Myorkas and Biden, but they came in illegally.
No, their people, they broke the law and Colombia needs to take them back, that simple, we don’t have to be nice about telling them to take back their own people, which they now agree to do.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/colombian-leader-quickly-caves-after-trump-threats-offers-presidential-plane-deportation-flights
Well, we are just getting started, more work ahead. This is what happens when you have a strong leader, things move quickly and in your favor, didn’t take long.
GuruMick
Yes Jay, I am sure the nations of Latin America all agree with you...not.
Tell me...why does the USA intervene whenever a "leftist Government " is ELECTED ?
Doesnt the US respect the outcome of the ballot box?
And why would voters keep electing "leftist " parties ?
sakurasuki
Here's some suggestion for not having migrant influx.
Don't disturb democratic elected government in the first place.
So those countries will have stable economy and government, where people doesn't need to flee their country.

What were the Democrats thinking in the first place, allowing these hardcore criminals to enter, and remain in the US?
Peter Neil
good grief, the fox news link is so slanted and misleading. the presidential plane was offered before the military flights.
and all the people on the flights were already scheduled for deportation before trump took office.
again, the other 475 flights weren’t a problem until trump’s grandstanding.
Tokyo Guy
He'd better get used to countries standing up to him.
Just because his own party is terrified of him, doesn't mean everyone else is.
GuruMick
Bass...quoting "fox " to support your argument.
Say it isn't so !
Peter Neil
colombia just slapped 25% tariff on u.s. goods. a country the u.s. runs a trade surplus.
columbia will just source from china.
see how that works? americans will pay higher prices for goods from columbia and columbia will shift imports from the u.s. to china.
art of the deal, right?
GuruMick
The "art " in "Art of the deal " needs an "F" in front .
bass4funk
They will.
Maybe now and especially because so many illegals come from leftist nations.
Yes, and he has a mandate and 72% want him to send these people back.
Huh?
Toblerone
This ends with Colombia capitulating.
Blacklabel
It already ended:
Who says 25% tariffs don’t work?
“The tariff would rise to 50% after one week, Trump said. The president also ordered a travel ban and visa revocations for all Colombian government officials, plus "allies and supporters."
GuruMick
Bass....hows that "close Gaza down and move Palestinians to Jordan and Egypt " idea coming along ?
It may be a novel idea to you, but I think the US history in Latin America is appalling , an affront to human rights and an affront to self proclaimed ideas of democracy.
"Legacy of Ashes " is a history of the CIA worldwide.
Big sections on Latin America.
And tell me, how does that US Marine song go ?
"From the halls of Montezuma "...or something

Yes, Colombia is biting off more than it can chew, but we went down this ally before with them and the outcome was also not in their favor.
Trade Volume: In 2022, U.S. exports to Colombia totaled approximately $19.4 billion,
Major Exports: The U.S. exports refined petroleum, corn, and cars to Colombia.
Economic Importance: The U.S. is Colombia largest trading partner, highlighting the strong economic ties between the two nations.
Yes
bass4funk
Has nothing to do with Fox and everything to do with stats, try harder.
Jay
No mate, it intervenes when those governments start trampling democracy, silencing opposition, as it should. When "leftist" leaders turn into dictators who rig elections, suppress free speech, and wreck their economies, they stop being legitimate representatives of their people.
So why are they so sucked in, as you suggest? As I said before (is there an echo in here?) because of empty promises of "equality" and "prosperity." But history shows that these leftist regimes inevitably lead to poverty, corruption, and oppression. Just look at VENEZUELA - once the wealthiest country in South America, now a SOCIALIST HELLHOLE where people are eating zoo animals to survive. Argentina has bucked the trend of inevitable doom - thank God - and they're finally flourishing.
Blacklabel
“Trump also ordered stricter inspections of cargo shipments arriving from Colombia, along with banking and finance sanctions and visa sanctions on “all Party Members, Family Members, and Supporters of the Colombian Government.”
“These measures are just the beginning. We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.”
that’s how you handle things.
Tokyo Guy
I can't see how the US comes out of this looking good.
Colombia makes a stand against their policies, and they go straight into Global Bully mode, throwing their weight around. And Trump certainly has enough of that to spare.
The_Beagle
Illegal aliens are fully criminal in intent and action. As such they can and will be treated as criminals. No quarter.
FizzBit
This is how a President acts. Haven't seen this in 4 years.
Peter Neil
the problem is not deporting illegals. it’s trump’s ego escalating it into a trade skirmish by showboating constantly when it didn’t need to happen.
again and again and again, 475 flights under biden and no problems.
trump - the ultimate drama queen.
Some dude
Jay ...I think you need a brush up on your Latin American history mate.
There isn't much of that in the only book he reads.
Blacklabel
Huh?
he sends the flights quietly.
then a leader goes to the media and runs their mouth, you get excited that a leader you never heard of “defied Trump” but then they back down immediately.
Who’s the “showboat”? So far, Colombia, Brazil and Mexico.
TokyoLiving
Well done Petro..
This is DIGNITY against the inhumane policies of Trump..
No problem Colombia, You get China to help you..
GuruMick
Media now have to start counting Trumps lies again.
Last time in office it exceeded 20,000 lies.
wallace
Didn't Mexico also ban flights?
Tokyo Guy
Media now have to start counting Trumps lies again.
Count, maybe, but they probably won't publish the numbers or they might get the Truth Social equivalent of a Mean Tweet.
I'veSeenFootage
"Quietly"?! It was all over the news. Trump never does anything "quietly" (even corruption, and that's his main problem).
Blacklabel
So after all this nonsense for a few hours, the illegal immigrants from Colombia are in fact back home and not in my country.
winning!
Blacklabel
oh noes! What will we ever do about the severe economic impact of this.
Tokyo Guy
So after all this nonsense for a few hours, the illegal immigrants from Colombia are in fact back home and not in my country.
winning!
Yes, a stunning victory over that military and economic giant Colombia.
Maybe we can go bully someone else now. How about Grenada? We kicked their a** before, bet we could do it again!
NOMINATION
Treat people with dignity....and Colombia will accept the people.
You have links to the Colombian government to know they are going to roll out the red carpet for their rejects?
Toblerone
The USA is back!
I'veSeenFootage
Personally I wish we could deport insurrectionists who viciously attack police officers too. Send them to mars maybe? Two birds, one stone.
bass4funk
There is no problem, they’re illegals, Myorkas and Biden were the problem that made the problems
What does that have anything to do with deporting people who broke the law?
Then redirecting the flights and trying to sneakingly put them in red states
I am totally fine with it, as long as he deports lawbreakers, good.
Toblerone
He'd better get used to countries standing up to him.
Somehow I don’t think so.
lincolnman
What a "huuuuge" FAILURE!
Add this bungle to his failure to stop the Ukraine war in 24 hours (it's now 144 and counting), his debacle humiliation at Davos, and his Shadow VP Musk's Nazi salute, and this has to be the worst opening week of any new administration ever.
And as even as low as this is, we all know it's only going to go downhill from here...
Tokyo Guy
Somehow I don’t think so.
Yeah, well the idea of having a spine is alien to the GOP, so that tracks.
I'veSeenFootage
Could you give us 5 examples of that happening in the real world?
bass4funk
For now, that will subside
Coffee to be $20 a cup in the future.
Relax, Colombia will come to their senses
I hope so
More liberal propaganda
I assume he will move to Columbia to sit closer to the source!
Tbh, a lot of people make that mistake, a lot. Been there twice, heard it too, too many times.
Blacklabel
how so? Where are your beloved illegals at this exact moment?
Blacksamurai
LOL at the hide of the Columbian President fronting that this is some major principle - illegal immigrants from his country, some of them attached to Columbia's infamous drug cartels, being taken back in military airplanes.
I guess 'sovreignty of a country' only applies to Columbia - their ruling regime had no problem with their citizens breaking the laws of a sovereign country in the US. Trump's got people mad because he's doing exactly what you expect the President of the US to do - prioritise its citizens and residents. And all the howls of outrage from the Dems and their fellow travellers just enforce why Trump won back the White House.
iknowall
Colombia quickly saw the light.

They stopped ONE flight, and caved very quickly. Just as Colombias socialist president did.... fastest cave ever.
You should read beyond partisan legacy media propaganda headlines.
Geeter Mckluskie
True, but it will prevent more from coming. And it will expedite the removal of illegal alien criminals, as in the DEA bust that netted 50 Tren de Aragua gang members over the weekend. Little by little, the removal of hardened violent criminals...is a good thing for those who would have been victim to them.
https://www.foxnews.com/us/dea-busts-drug-traffickers-makeshift-nightclub-takes-50-illegal-aliens-custody
Little by little...bust by bust...party by party...traffic stop by traffic stop...crime by crime...these foreign criminals will be deported.
MAGA!

Your new daily slogan but I’m confused because you continue to post on a site with legacy media. Why’s that?
Blacklabel
Hundreds a day equals thousands a week adds up to hundreds of thousands a year.
its a good start considering the head of the agency hasn’t even had a work day yet.
wallace
It will take years to locate, detain, and deport the claimed 20 million illegals.
Blacklabel
Sure it will. So we need to speed up.
lincolnman
Fox News? ROFL..I could give you 787 million reasons not to believe them...
Probably working at their new jobs at MAL, Bedminster, and Westchester...
Blacklabel
Liberal news media: you will actually continue this deportation push for the next 4 years?
Homan: yes
liberal: every single day?
Homan: yes
Blacklabel
can’t be if they just arrived on a flight in their home country, sorry bout your incorrect logic.
soon the metrics will not only include deported numbers but those who left on their own and those future ones who never bothered to come.
wallace
So 10,000 deportee per day is 3.5 million in a year. 20 million, 6 years.
VoiceOfReason
I can't see how the US comes out of this looking good.
SMH. When a parent disciplines a child, it's not about "looking good", it's about the result.
Any country who has scores of people that entered the US illegally is obviously not going to willingly expend the resources or effort to get them back. Which is why you have to take a hard line.
In life and in business it is about the result. Do optics play a role, sure, but come on, this is the country whose most famous figure is Pablo Escobar.
VoiceOfReason
Fox News? ROFL..I could give you 787 million reasons not to believe them...
What's funny about this is that they regularly posted stats on how bad inflation was during the Biden administration. The Biden administration kept denying it and the voters made their choice.
You don't have to believe everything Fox News says, but if they say the sky is blue, if you can't acknowledge that much is true then there's no saving you.
I'veSeenFootage
The real question here is, seeing as there are only about 11 million "illegal" (=undocumented) immigrants in the US, how exactly will Donald Trump deport 20 million of them? Import 8 million foreigners to deport them immediately after they land? Or maybe start deporting Americans too? Or simply continue lying about everything?
By the way, if he intends to keep that promise, it would mean deporting about 14 000 people every day, without stopping for a single day, for the next 4 years. The cost would be in the hundreds of billions. (the party of fiscal responsibility everyone!)
Peter Neil
obama and biden each deported more than trump1.
americans want them deported. i do.
who would want illegal migrants?
well, agriculture, meat processing and construction industries.
everything trump’s going to do and doing is going to lower gdp and increase inflation.
a failure at every business he’s ever started is going to fail the u.s.
Geeter Mckluskie
It takes no time at all to do nothing at all
Blacklabel
close enough!
as by next year (if not earlier) we will see self deportation be more common than forced deportation.
Blacklabel
hundreds of billions over 4 years?
I’m all for that, just reallocate the Ukraine money that isn’t needed anymore.
I'veSeenFootage
Yeah by the way, how's the price of eggs in Trump's America? I thought he would reduce the price of groceries on day 1 but it's been almost a week now.
Also, another question: could anyone point to me the exact bills or executive orders that Biden signed that created this horrendous, and worldwide, inflation? Everyone on the right blames Biden for it, but never mentions what policies of his were responsible. Which seems strange, doesn't it?
Blacklabel
It’s so odd.
When downplaying it as even being a problem there are “only” 11 million.
but when claiming it simply cannot be done cause there are “so many”? 20 million.
I'veSeenFootage
I think it would be way more sensible that Musk and Trump pay for it. They clearly can.
lincolnman
Liberal: Why should we believe you?
Homan: Because we built an impenetrable border wall seven years ago and forced Mexico to pay for it...
Blacklabel
No, because it’s been 4.5 work days and we have deported thousands already.
I'veSeenFootage
Using actual numbers is not really "downplaying" it. Simply explaining how inane the idea of deporting 9 million more illegal immigrants than there actually are is.
lincolnman
Well, this guy doesn't share your view of Fox...
“FoxNews has totally lost its way!” he wrote.

It won’t be that difficult, now with every law agency now in sync and working together, never happened before, they won’t get all of course, but a huge majority, without a doubt.

All Colombia did was give Trump some free publicity at their own expense. You have to be smarter than that when dealing with Trump.
bass4funk
Exactly
I'veSeenFootage
You should try to do the math yourself.
Really? How did Obama deport more than 3 million illegals then? By sheer force of will?
Zaphod
Blacklabel
Exactly. Just image all the sensible things that could have been done with the billions sunk into the black hole that is the Zelenski government.
Zaphod
wallace
It will not be 20 million. He is acting fast to get rid of the criminals and recent crossers. Once the program runs into people without criminal records and family/community connections, it will slow down. Which is not such a bad thing. Easy prediction.
lincolnman
Indeed - just think how much "free publicity" he got with Musk's Nazi salute...
According to his "best-ever" SECDEF Mattis, all you need to do to be smarter than Trump is to have gone farther than the sixth grade...
Blacklabel
I’m totally fine with forcibly deporting the 1 million or so that are national security or safety threats. That can be done in 6 months.
then make it where the rest can’t work, don’t get government benefits, can’t have any US bank accounts, can’t purchase assets and cant remit money “back home”.
Then they will leave on their own to Canada or somewhere not strict.
wallace
Zaphod
wallace
It will take years to locate, detain, and deport the claimed 20 million illegals.

Trump and his MAGA supporters said the illegals number 20 million and everyone of them will be deported. The biggest deportation in history.
GuruMick
These "Colombian drug affiliates ".....would their market be to middle America...white people, even MAGA voters ?
Just asking.
lincolnman
Really? Six months? One million?
Pretty big boast for a guy that had four years, two of which included a Repub House and Senate - AND STILL FAILED TO BUILD A WALL as he promised 62 TIMES...
Not strict - like the hiring procedures at MAL, Bedminster, and Westchester...
I'veSeenFootage
Could you let us know where you got that figure from? It seems amazingly big. And not something written by Jim Jordan please, because he is clearly mentally challenged. Actual figures from serious agencies.
Blacklabel
“As of July 21, ICE's national docket, which tracks immigrants facing deportation proceedings, listed roughly 660,000 noncitizens with criminal histories, including 436,000 convicted criminals and 227,000 with pending criminal charges.”
that’s half a year ago, and Biden’s numbers that are always underreported for anything illegal immigration/border.
Geeter Mckluskie
Does it matter?
Also, do you suppose people in LA don't do coke?
I'veSeenFootage
Yeah you conveniently forgot to cite a source there. But I found it for you: it's "Trump's border czar".
So about 35 seconds for a fact check:
https://www.aol.com/fact-check-trumps-border-czar-120007749.html
"By Homan's numbers, around 6% of noncitizens would be convicted criminals. By Johnson's numbers closer to 12% of the noncitizens would be criminals, or as much as 24% of the unauthorized population.
According to ICE's figures closer to 2.6% of the noncitizens in the U.S. have criminal histories."
That would be closer to about 290 000 people. Just talking about people "with criminal histories", which doesn't necessarily mean "national security or safety threats." After all, Donald Trump has a criminal history too, and I don't think you can call him a national securi...... oh wait.
