If he tries REALLY hard, he might bounce back to being solvent.

Trump lost more than $1 billion during his final year in office.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I can see how an analogy- that’s a comparison of one thing to another -would fly over your head.

Trump is as likely to bounce back as a dead cat is off the pavement. It’ll bounce a bit, but it’s still dead.

So too with Trump’s business fortunes.

No sources of (legal) financing.

No business will partner with him.

No more Russians or Saudis willing to use his properties to launder money and pay him a fee.

He’s toast.

All of his names businesses are losing money.

The only people willing to give him money are his cultist rubes and most of them wouldn’t be allowed onto one of his properties due to a lack of funds and personal hygiene.

I hope this makes it easier for a person of your “intellect” to grasp.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Free Fun Fact: The single most profitable asset in Trump org. is a small minority share in a commercial property that does not share his name and in which he has no managerial role. LOL

This makes perfect sense has his “brand” Is radio-active, and he is a business buffoon.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Trump does not even own Trump Tower.

As of 2021, the building's official owner is GMAC Commercial Mortgage, according to the New York City Department of City Planning.

Mortgaged to the hilt.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Not all businesses are equal or have the same laws applied.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

A business is a business.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I don't understand it.

Unsurprising.

The NPCs insisted he would be behind bars once his taxes were made public.

But it turns out he paid them to the letter of the law.

And now his organization, not him, may have to pay a fine that can be taken care of at lunchtime.

How could the NPCs have been so wrong??

O.K. Andrew. How's prison?

Holy Cow! someone named Andrew is in Prison?

I guess whoever that is, it ain't President Trump, is it!

OOOoooo wee! The NPCs are salty today!

These Are The 25 Businesses Quietly Paying Trump $115 Million Each Year

Not all companies are listed

1 ( +2 / -1 )

A listed company is a company.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Listed companies belong to the shareholders.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump is like any other self-employed person.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Oddly mostly the same people who still own them now that they are public.

Perhaps this misunderstanding is more of an English vocabulary problem?

Allow me to introduce the difference between the noun markers “an” and “the”.

“An owner” means one is one of many or at least multiple owners.

”The owner means that one is the ONLY owner.

“Publicly traded” means a business is for sale on the stock market and anyone can buy a share of the business at the market (stock) price.

IMPORTANTLY, it also SEPARATES ownership from liability for the businesses crimes or debts.

You are not the corporation and the corporation is not you. The corporation borrowed money but you did not. Nor are you liable for crimes.

Private businesses like Trump org have no such separation. Trump can be held liable for both unpaid debts AND crimes (and both are coming)

Leave it to one of his rubes to be ignorant of this very basic difference, taught in 1st year financial accounting.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

criminal.

A lawsuit is a civil tort- not a crime.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The MAGA-minions here can use their typical weak pathetic spin to try to convince themselves that this isn't a loss for Trump...

Re-read the article gents..."guilty" and "convicted"....

The Trump Corporation and Trump Payroll Corp., entities of the Trump Organization, were found guilty last month of running a years-long scheme to defraud and evade taxes through falsifying business records.

They were convicted on all 17 counts following a trial,

In addition, his hand-picked CFO was convicted of tax fraud and given six months to cool his heels at Rikers Island...

And this is just Chapter 1 of the tax criminal investigation book...Trump's taxes will now be given an extensive analysis to see if all the allegations of over-and under-valuing are true. Remember, his long-term tax company walked away from him saying they wouldn't vouch for the integrity of his taxes based on the "discrepancies" he gave them...

https://news.yahoo.com/donald-trumps-accountants-quit-midst-230043771.html

Once again, it just confirms that they'll overlook any crimes, malfeasance, or outrages Trump does...because like the cult they are, they worship at the feet of the Ultra MAGA King...

Sorry, that won’t happen, the government and workers will still get paid. Why do the left keep telling that tale. Look, the Dems are in no position whatsoever to overrule Kevin on what he can or cannot release.

Kevin is a puppet, dont forget it takes 1 vote of no confidence and his speaker role is done, thats what he agreed to, unless they vote for him again. LOL

Don Trump aka Don the Con

A guy should always pay his debts.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Just another way for Trump to remain in the car headlights.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

AKA a public bailout of private business failure and an invitation to Welch on his debt obligations.

How very Trump

Not just Trump, he used the laws the way they were designed for, don’t like it, campaign to change them, but that probably won’t happen. Thank God for them otherwise the nation would be in a much bigger mess than it already is.

yes Trump Deranged Supporters need to move on , Trumps done.

Hey, you guys are the ones that want to see an end for Trump….deranged..lol

robbing oh like the grifting Trump does to his PAYtriots LOL

No, like the Democrats have been doing for the last two years, that’s why they recently got fired

the only regrouping needed is the GQP, their red wave barely held the house

But they hold the House….again, the GOP holds the House and not a darned thing the Democrats can do about it but watch….

and their Senate minority got worse. better candidates is what the GOP needs,

The same for the Dems in the House

nearly every swing state candidate that Trump supported lost. Even many in the GOP know a Trump endorsement cost them the midterms

Not the House, I just care that Biden has to beg Kevin for some cash, exhilarating

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

True, but Vice versa, the DOJ can’t stop the House from holding investigations and subpoenaing others involved

still need the evidence to submit to the DOJ to get the indictments you want. So investigate away, hopefully the GOP can find that evidence that they tried to do for 2yrs during Bengazi investigation, result

a big fat nothing burger. Durhams both investigations thrown out in 6hrs by the jury, zero evidence. LOL

Nothing the house can do to stop Trump indictments, they can cause some delays while the DOJ ponders, thats about it.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

bass4funk

Trump a six times bankrupt. Not including morally.

Thank God for bankruptcy laws and restructuring.

Tell that to the contractors who did the work, paid for materials, and then didn't get paid. Would you be happy with that?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump a six times bankrupt. Not including morally.

Thank God for bankruptcy laws and restructuring.

How very Trump

4 ( +4 / -0 )

but still won anyway and control the House and have subpoena power for the next 2 years, don’t leave that out,

subpoena power lol totally irrelevant to the DOJ, the house has no power over the judicial branch of government, they can ignore subpoena if they choose, just like the GOP did and not a thing they can do about it. Once indictments come and the cases are in the courts republicans cant do squat. LOL

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Convicted on every charge in less than an hour of deliberation per charge on average.

And?

Given the maximum allowable fine, Which I am glad to see Bass agrees should have been much higher.

And will never be, because it would look more like extortion instead of a fine.

I understand that this might be your genre given the lack of wild condo and the low-ball stakes.

In that case, I refer you to L. James and the State of New York vs. Donald J. Trump coming to a court near you very soon!

All the same criminality, the same documentation, MUCH bigger stakes - the minimum fine will be $250 million and she could ban the company from operating in NY.

Anyway, he’ll have to pay a few million here and a few million there, no big deal, and that’s the only thing that will happen to the guy. After he pays all the fines, I hope the left can finally put their TDS aside and move on. The left try and regroup for future elections and work on a message other than robbing taxpayers of their money and Trump can work on his campaign.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

So in other words, nothing?

no criminal convictions.

No criminal convictions YET. They’re coming

Apple, Google, Facebook, many other companies have all been found guilty of various crimes. Are their CEOs all criminals?

Are those CEOs names the same as their companies?

Are they private businesses meaning that the CEO is the owner? Did they personally sign the Company returns as Don did?

No, no and no?

Then no, they are not.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

That’s it?? That’s chump change! Just write a check then and move on.

When the NY AG imposed fines North of $250 million, we can call that “Trump Change”, lol.

And he won’t be writing a check. His cash poor “Org” will be selling assets CHEAP. And not his junker golf courses either. The commercial properties in NYC and SFO.

And that will be the end of the tax fraud scheme known as “TRUMP Org” (Org sounds sardonic as it implies some level of organization or competence”

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Better ‘print’ some more cards.

theyre not even printed , theyre photoshopped jpegs LOL

they dont call Trump supporters PAYtriots for nothing

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump owns his business.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

1.6 million dollars sounds way too low. This is the Liar King we’re talking about here.

dont worry thats where NY AG Letitia James 250million lawsuits into Trump tax crimes comes up next, Trump already tried to move his organization assets outside of NY after the announcement, Letitia James had the court block it, shes not messing around,

250million isnt chump change even for Donald LOL

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Is he? What crime was he convicted of?

ah magas making it sound like Trump knew nothing about how his organizations financial dealings,

his long time CFO is the fall guy now serving time in Rykers Is

2 ( +2 / -0 )

That’s it?? That’s chump change! Just write a check then and move on.

apart from the illegality of it no it isnt chump change, well actually its change from the Chump Trump.

this is just the entrée, special council Smith and NY AG James are just getting started, and yes they have indictment powers unlike SC Mueller

better buckle up maga LOL

THAT was the name of the convicted company. Trump Org.

It’s the first 2 words in the headline of the article. why are you acting like you discovered something?

Why are you carry water for the owner of a company convicted of tax fraud?

Tax fraud is Ok with you?

It’s inappropriate to discuss the owner of a fraudulent business behaving fraudulently?

Hello Pot, have you met Mr. Kettle?

You’ve got to remember that Republicans don’t have morals. They will forgive rape and pedophilia if there is an (R) after the name. I’ll prove it:

If you are a JT reader who is a Republican, I offer this as your chance to disown Matt Gaetz, Roy Moore, and Donald Trump.

Go for it.

The article is 100% about Trump.

You’re gonna lose it when you find out what happened in the 2020 election.

That comes next.

BTW, what was the name of the company again?

Something Org?????

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Ok, move along.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

he fact that it's not a bigger story is telling. Trump is damaged goods with reduced influence. Yesterday Paul Ryan referred to him as a "proven loser," something unthinkable a couple of years ago.

With the exception of a few RINO’s looming in congress like the endangered species they have now become, no one cares what Ryan thinks, Boehner even less.

Few RINOs? They were re-elected at a far higher number than the MAGA-losers in 2022...

And I can just imagine the comments here in a few months; "No one cares what that Spineless RINO McCarthy thinks"....ROFL....

Somewhere, DeSantis is smiling

He should, it’s a win, win for either of them.

Either of them? When one thinks the other is a "fat, whiny, phony"? You agree?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Does it explain why they won the 2016 election?

Sure, because we all know that 6 years ago is far more relevant than today.

I wonder what could have happened in all that time. /s

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Trump has branded the case a "witch hunt" and claimed that Weisselberg acted alone.

When in trouble, Trump throws all his associates under the bus. He demands loyalty but never gives it in return.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Oh he wasn’t the “target” of this? Then why have you been linking this to him for 6 years??

You seem confused. As always feel free to quote me.

Besides. It is linked to him. You know this.

Trump will need to win the GOP nomination and he won't be the only candidate.

One dude is so insistent that this is something that he duplicated his reply to me.

But the Republican brand had been tarnished for the majority of American voters.

Nah; which is why Republicans took the House less than three months ago.

This explains why they lost the 2020 election,

Does it explain why they won the 2016 election?

performed historically poorly in the midterms

As mentioned above, Republicans took the House.

and will in all likelihood lose again in 2024.

Or they might win.

Doesn’t matter what 45 supporters think, they are a minority group inside a minority party.

Incredible that a minority party won the presidency in 2016 and won the House in 2020.

I sincerely hope he runs in 2024, truly. It’ll be glorious.

I will feel so giddy when I cast my vote for him.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Trump no longer has 100% support from the republican congress, the GOP, or the voters.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

But the Republican brand had been tarnished for the majority of American voters.

Then the Democrats should have retained the House with ease.

This explains why they lost the 2020 election, performed historically poorly in the midterms and will in all likelihood lose again in 2024.

Anything is possible, but there is no guarantee.

Doesn’t matter what 45 supporters think,

or Biden supporters hope.

they are a minority group inside a minority party.

Yeah, then the entire South would bleed blue.

I sincerely hope he runs in 2024,

Me too

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Trump as the representative brand for the Republican nominee has not been tarnished for the American Republican voters.

Not that big of a deal for Trump supporters. They already know he steals from charities, runs fake universities, etc.

Wait and the Dems are the honest politicians? Yeah, don’t go there Sup, just leave that one alone. Lol!

Character doesn't really play into it for them and for the few that do, they know to keep their mouths shut or get thrown off the bus.

Ahhhh, that’s one the Dems are always one cohesive lockstep monolithic party, that explains a lot.

The fact that it's not a bigger story is telling. Trump is damaged goods with reduced influence. Yesterday Paul Ryan referred to him as a "proven loser," something unthinkable a couple of years ago.

Above that, as has been stated above numerous times and in the article the 45 brand is further tarnished and any financial dealings will now be examined very closely.

Trump as the representative brand for the Republican nominee has not been tarnished for the American Republican voters.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

lying to the electorate is acceptable to you?

No, whether it’s on the left or right.

So a problem with drinking or domestic violence or watching child porn cheating on your spouse.

Has nothing to do with whether you can govern or not. If we go by that then we could never elect any President by that standard.

Everything which can leave a politician open to blackmail.

Like that hasn’t happened, where have you been?

Trump is no longer the Republican poster boy.

He never was, bingo! He never claimed to be, that’s why millions voted for him

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

That was very anticlimactic.

Then you should have read more about the case.

Found guilty on all 17 counts and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

45 wasn’t targeted in the case so there was never going to be any jail time for him in connection to these charges. Mr Weisselberg took the fall, he is in prison now and facing a $2 million fine.

Above that, as has been stated above numerous times and in the article the 45 brand is further tarnished and any financial dealings will now be examined very closely.

It’s far from anticlimactic.

It’s also an issue for anyone interested in it. I like reading about 45 losing. It’s an important issue for me and a constantly reliable source of guffaws, chortles and sniggers.

I feel the same about The Dems and Biden now, but it’s just a short thrill and then it’s back to making money. They’ll figure it out.

Back at you.

My comments have nothing to do with any democrats. We have been there before.

Nor mine to Republicans.

He covers up more than we know

Well, I would disagree with that now that a lot of things are coming out with this current president

Yes, and probably he won't be the candidate in 2024.

Because you wish it so? Yeah, if he gets a heart attack or shot then you just might be right.

Not according to Eric Trump...when asked where the Trump Org gets its funding since most American banks refuse to loan it money with their many failures and bankruptcies, he said;

*Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia. We just go there all the time.*

Explains a lot, doesn't it...

Trump's tower no longer looks so ivory

When it’s on a “sunny” day, it Glimmers.

"Ivory Tower" is a metaphor

Every aspect of a politician's life is of concern to the voters in an election

No, it is not. What a candidate are for breakfast, what business corporations you worked with, who he had sex with in HS, in relation to a career in politics.

Every aspect of the politician's life is of concern to those who nominate them and then who elect them. Anything bad that becomes public can change the election outcome. The republican Santos lied to win his election.

which is why Trump resisted releasing his tax returns.

Because he was losing money, what a flop that turned out to be in the end.

Trump lied about his taxes and his wealth.

Politicians like Santos who lie to be elected and whose fellow republicans are calling for him to resign.

He won’t and they can’t make him. They could bring him before the ethics committee, but that’s about it.

Defend liars again

Everything is connected when it comes to elections.

No, the Dems are fishing, even on the big circuit of all the news in politics, Biden is the center of every news story. Take your pick on the headlines.

That’s it?? That’s chump change! Just write a check then and move on.

Limitations of the fine is chump change, I agree.

But, it isn't about the fine, the bigger picture says a conviction of all counts means limited to no loan power, the essence of the Trump organization business, from the banks who cannot trust them from illegal actions. He may go to Russian money, it's his thing to do when things go bad, but you can forget about America, he made America a scam, not great. lol. Business in NYC, which is the essence of his image in America, is completely finished.

He's the ultimate fake.

It's obvious Trump himself is not blissfully ignorant. He's too full of himself to listen to others, but quite the weasel to create legal distance.

He has inflated his worth for years and lied to the banks and to the people who believe in an unsuccessful business built on fraud and being a fake rich persona many got bilked to believe. The ultimate oil salesman. The ultimate art of the steal. I'll grant it does take some talent to lie to his level.

Everyone who is anti Trump knew this. Only the cult believed in him and his ubiquitous lies. Now, if his people stay faithful, it's a true conviction of his organization that speaks otherwise to his legal and business prowess, which are proven to be illegal and fake.

It's only going to build from here, and he'll be further exposed as a flimflam man.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Remember when the company leader took responsibility for any criminal actions? I don't see that happening here.

Trump is the worst sort of boss. He takes credit for other people's work, but never takes the blame.

For every $1M, someone needs to spend at least 1 yr in jail.

I never said or implied that.

It is so profitable that it has now captured the "democratic" processes of many nations.
