Why is this "newsworthy"?

Because there isn’t a comedy section.

Eating their own and throwing away money. Classic.

Why is this "newsworthy"?

because it shows the Trump party will throw their own under the bus if they dont toe the line

It is tragic. The Republican party needs governors that can think for themselves and do the right thing. Replacing such people with Trump yes men prepared to do what Trump orders no matter if it is legal or not is something even the Democrats should be worried about.

Former President Donald Trump’s political action committee has given $500,000 to a group that is running attack ads in Georgia against Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.

This is Trump getting rid of people he cant control, from the party and replacing them with people loyal to him first, party second and country a poor third. The autocrat setting up the system that will allow him to do anything and to remain in power as long as he wants. It is the death of democracy in America being orchestrated right now. Spending all that money to kill off one of your own governors to replace with a more loyal to Trump governor.

Sickening to watch.

that 33% Presidential approval albatross isn’t going away

actually average of all major polls, not just the FOX polls , shows Biden at 42% still higher than Trumps 36%.

Trump never even made it over 45.5% in 4yrs. sucks when the fact prove you wrong

Once again the rightists come out in defense of one of their idols, this time Trump, reverting to one of their old defenses: 'he's got money so he must be smart', zero regard for his lack of honesty, integrity, human decency or what he might to for the greater good of the country or any of its parts beyond the US South and other places in the Bible Belt, just the same old rightist reasoning 'he's got gold fixtures in his helicopter so he must be smart', and 'he's avoided jail so he must be smart'. Today's Republicans will do more damage to the country than Putin, Xi, MbS, MbZ and the Ayatollah, by keeping the US from progressing beyond some mythical point in history when Trump and his supporters in the global establishment said the country was great.

Trump lost in Georgia three times. That's just humiliating. I feels sorry for him and his suporters.

Trump can choose to use his money from his supporters for any candidate he prefers.

That goes without saying.

Was it donated by Republicans for the good of the party or is it Trumps private resources earned and owned by him?

If it was donated funds it is not in the parties interest to use it to oust a sitting party Governor.

It the party member in current power is not a true Republican then throw him from the party. Supporting the Republicans does not equal blind obedience to any individual including Trump.

If Republicans are a one person party with no opposing positions and only loyalty to Trump then it really is no longer a party of Republicans. It is the Trump party with nothing to do with Republicanism and all to do with Trumps autocratic style and demands of personal loyalty. Hitler demanded his military swear a personal oath to him. Trump is turning out exactly the same.

Trump is Hitler 3.0 or Putin 2.0. Either way he and his supporters need to be locked up and given psychiatric help until they are cured. They are a danger to themselves, the Republican party and to America and its people. So sad.

But our democracy is in danger, or whatever.

But that is what Trump and his extremist backers have been pushing for, so Trump can be equivalent to another extreme right idol Putin in terms of how many years he can stay in office. If you guys were smarter you'd get younger guys instead of the aged and mentally declining like Trump and Putin, those whose primary concern is more money and territory for me and my oligarchs. But you think they are smart to take money from people, and strong because they have full nuclear arsenals and threaten to use them.

wtf- yeah, those polls are real accurate…not.

Perdue? Sounds like a loser........

In-fighting in the GOP. In-fighting in the Dem Party. Fighting between left and right. Keep it up America. Some of us are sitting on the sofa with popcorn.

fear mongering is all the Dems have left. cant run on their own record, which is beyond horrible.

So just have to speculate that it will be "even worse" when Dems lose the majorities.

People arent buying that one, as shown by the approvals on nearly every issue at historic lows.

But our democracy is in danger, or whatever.

Once again the rightists come out in defense of one of their idols, this time Trump,

Yeah, the left think that and yet none of our adversaries would even attempt to do what they’re doing now under this administration and at least the Saudis would answer his phone calls.

reverting to one of their old defenses: 'he's got money so he must be smart', zero regard for his lack of honesty, integrity, human decency or what he might to for the greater good of the country or any of its parts beyond the US South and other places in the Bible Belt, just the same old rightist reasoning 'he's got gold fixtures in his helicopter so he must be smart', and 'he's avoided jail so he must be smart'

Not sure what that meant, but needless to say, the Dems have less of a 10% chance of retaining the House and the Senate looks bleak as well and that means, Biden won’t get a second term. Bill Maher is as left of a liberal as they come, but the man is smart and as he said, the Dems should put more focus into policy and less on Trump and because the Dems are so worried about a Trump 2.0 resurrection, they’re actually making it easier for Trump and burying themselves in the process. Listen to Maher, he makes sense.

Today's Republicans will do more damage to the country than Putin, Xi, MbS, MbZ and the Ayatollah,

Nope….

Inflation (and rising)

wokeness

Political Correctness

Open borders

Deteriorating race relations

Rising crime

Geopolitical/international relations lost

Rising gas prices

Rising food costs

Homelessness

1st-2nd amendment

Defunding the police

Wars on our energy sector

Our dependency on “foreign” oil

…so this is what the Democrats have done to the US, not the Republicans, this is the reason why the GOP is winning in every category, because it’s the Democrats that are destroying the country, every poll shows this and there’s no way they can or will do anything to alter their impending political doom, that’s why more than 30 Dems decided not to seek re-election because they see the red wave coming and it’s not going to be pretty.

by keeping the US from progressing

The US is regressing each and every single day and that needs to stop.

Not quite. The Republican Party of today is not the Republican Party from the 1980s, the Republican Party of today are basically traditional list Americans that only care about a free in democratic United States, they are not full wars, they are not for globalism, they are focused on the country first and foremost, they believe in helping people, but the needs of the citizens of this country should always come first, they believe in a strong military for defense. We believe in No Wars or unnecessary ones. We believe in lower taxes, we believe in empowerment of the individual, we believe in prosperity for all, we want strong borders and an end to open borders, and we believe in the first and second amendment deeply. All of this nonsense we’re trying to equate trump to Hitler is just beyond ridiculous, Trump didn’t do anything of the sort to watch Hitler was doing, so any references to Hitler it’s just childish and without merit. We believe in having pride and love for our country. That is the party of Trump. No apologies. Very different from the establishment.

not just the FOX polls

the Fox poll you deride is actually higher than most.

No one was talking about the average of all the polls, just the most recent one, which was 33% (35% for registered voters). the one before that was 38%, from super liberal CNBC.

sucks when the fact prove you wrong

I didnt mention anything about what you claim Im wrong about?

Its a tax write off, of half a million bucks.

I don’t think anyone here is under the illusion that democrats are going to fare well in the next election. This being the case, the republican party are sorting themselves out to make the most advantage of the majority they are sure to win next November. Neither America nor Europe have experienced a tithe of the inflation and economic harm which their policies over the last year have set in motion, and those who have been running the show as the theater was set alight are going to get trampled.
