@bass4funk Not a basket case? That's a low bar. I'm glad the people around Frumpy can get him to see reason now and again, in between his phone calls to Alex Jones and his tweeting. Appointing Romney would be smart. He does need people who can read and write to run the show.

I thought Trump didn't like Romney because he was the loser in 2012, and Romney didn't like Trump due to the last bit of human decency he has left...............or had.

It appears that he is placing all of the old world order people in his new world order.

Secretary of State Romney?! Is that the best Trump and the GOP can come up with?

"Secretary of State Romney?! Is that the best Trump and the GOP can come up with?"

I remember Mitt managed the near impossible when running for president by pissing off Israel and the U.K. on trips abroad. All he needed to do was go through the usual cliched niceties. He even managed to get a UK Conservative MP to rip into him.

That's the problem with a GOP presidency - you can't confine these clowns to the US.

"That's the problem with a GOP presidency - you can't confine these clowns to the US."

"After 8 of stagnation and heavy regulations, they shouldn't be confined, they need to unleashed and do what Obama couldn't, revive the economy."

I'm talking about letting these idiots go abroad. Mitt made an absolute balls-up on his trip outside his comfort zone. It's like letting yokels who haven't bathed for a month while wearing a string vest and crocs into a decent restaurant. They make the US look stupid and unpleasant.

This defense secretary candidate Trump admiringly calls Mad Dog on Twitter (Jump, Darn Dolt!), was once reprimanded by the USMC for telling a San Diego, CA conference:

"It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right up front with you, I like brawling."

I'd much prefer to have Romney in there than some other GOP choices.

Romney, stuffed shirt though he is, would be infinitely preferable to Bolton, Giuliani or some of the other freaks that have been wheeled out. Let's hope Trump randomly picks a semi-serious candidate by mistake!

So is there to be any women in Trump's cabinet? Any moderates?

Or is it going to be 100% pure angry old racist white men from the swamp?

Is the fury of the pitchfork crowd that got hoodwinked by Don the Con going to kick in, or are they going to do their time-honored Denial thing ?

The right-wing meme that Obama is nothing without his teleprompter prompts the awful realization that Trump sans teleprompter will inflict his below 6th grade level of speech on us for the next four years. Mercifully, I expect his handlers will severely limit his public speeches and confine him to twittering away from Trump Tower or the Trump White House.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Why? I actually admired Romney standing up to Trump. He put his country before his party.

Romney wasn't running for office in 2016. His words weren't the result of campaigning where he was trying to beat Trump. Clearly not the same.

Politics and the WWE are looking more and more alike these days!

old. white. male. i guess those are the only qualifications that you need to be in trump's cabinet. and there is no way in heck romney would want to be SoS for Trump. they don't see eye to eye on so many issues, especially Russia. i loved romney for being a fervent anti-trumper and thought he had moral conviction for doing that. to throw that all out the door would really reveal romney as being a spineless 1%er.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

I'll be surprised if he picks romney for anything. Maybe trump just wanted to see him grovel. I could be wrong though. Only the donald knows.

Though in the 2007 primaries HC and BO exchanged heated barbs, he later made her SOS. Not so different than Trump possibly choosing Romney. Don't be hypocritical. How about Jan Brewer?

old. white. male.

I think there were a lot go old white males in Obamas administration too. Trumps team just started and they have a lot of hiring to do. He will diversify and satisfy as many Americans as he can. He will be the peoples President.

I don't know Romney, but one thing is 100% sure: chances are he at least would tell the truth, unlike Hillary:

"So is there to be any women in Trump's cabinet?

Would Barney "The Dancing Queen" Frank count? Nyuk nyuk!

Bass - Conway might become Trump's White House press secretary.

Jimizo: ...I remember Mitt managed the near impossible when running for president by pissing off Israel and the U.K. on trips abroad. All he needed to do was go through the usual cliched niceties. He even managed to get a UK Conservative MP to rip into him.

Then that must be the plan. It's not like the transition team wouldn't know about those.

So is there to be any women in Trump's cabinet? Any moderates?

Conway is one.

Or is it going to be 100% pure angry old racist white men from the swamp?

You would prefer to see racist young White millennial men that Obama has in office now???

Is the fury of the pitchfork crowd that got hoodwinked by Don the Con going to kick in, or are they going to do their time-honored Denial thing ?

I know you libs took a beating a few weeks ago in the worst embarrassing way, but give it time, as Biden said, we'll be fine.

"Secretary of State Romney?! Is that the best Trump and the GOP can come up with?"

Hey, better than Secretary of State Bolton, lol. Giuliani would be better.

Wow! Im going to mark that comment down.

Oh, and you think Lurch was great for the credibility of the US?

Not a basket case? That's a low bar. I'm glad the people around Frumpy can get him to see reason now and again, in between his phone calls to Alex Jones and his tweeting.

Are you absolutely positive he sends Jones Tweets and that they friends?

Appointing Romney would be smart. He does need people who can read and write to run the show.

You do know we had a smart president who produced nothing and couldn't do anything without his trusty TelePrompTer.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

It appears that he is placing all of the old world order people in his new world order.

The last thing Trump needs is to align himself with a millennial that doesn't know anything and botches everything. We already did that for 8 years and I think the country doesn't want to go through that kind of experience again.

I thought Trump didn't like Romney because he was the loser in 2012, and Romney didn't like Trump due to the last bit of human decency he has left...............or had.

They had bad blood, but I think it was magnanimous of Trump and Romney to come together to batch up their differences. It shows what big men these guys can be. Great example and shows that Trump can be reasoned with and is not a basket case, but I'm not expecting liberals to take that to heart.
