I personally made clear to the Russians that there will be severe consequences for interference in our democratic processes,"

Did Pompeo really mean to say 'won't be severe consequences'?

"I gave up NOTHING," Trump wrote on Twitter on Monday.

Did Trump mean to say "I gave up EVERYTHING"?

Doubting and disbelieving anything said by anyone in the Trump administration or anyone in his wider circle of sycophants is to be expected. The White House is led by reality TV star Trump, the most dishonest politician in American history, a serial con-man known for bait and switch tactics.

Drain Trump's swamp! Lock him up!

The one positive to come from having such an unethical leader is the US is no longer lecturing the world on ethics and decency. GoTrumpers in the US and 'abroad': you own this.

To the hateful left, I have nooooo doubt about that at all.

The visit has been postponed because the people you claimed don't care about Russian meddling made their voices heard.

And guess what? Some of those voices are Republican.

Please explain your flip-flopping. Ta.

"Trump adviser Bolton says Putin invitation to White House delayed until Mueller 'witch hunt' over"

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-adviser-bolton-says-putin-invite-white-house-delayed-until-n894571

Bolton is such a tool, saying the meeting will take place "after the Mueller witch hunt is over", echoing his dear leader Trump's favorite line. The propaganda coming out of the mouths of the Trump administration is shallow and asinine.

The NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER called the Special Counsel's investigation a witch hunt.

Freaking full stop.

Pompeo said a lot of things that Trump will have to walk back over the next week or so,

6 ( +7 / -1 )

"I gave up NOTHING,"

Very probably yet another lie. He can always walk it back and say he was talking about a frustrated, constipated visit to the potty at 3am while tweeting and missed the punctuation.

His supporters would accept that.

To be very clear: Trump did not postpone the meeting - Putin cancelled.

Absolutely true, but remember, stealing credit for other people's work is kinda Trump's whole thing.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Now it's turning out that the white house transcript of the press conference with Putin removes the reporters question where he asks if Putin wanted Trump to win. For an administration who is so hung up on fake news, they sure seem to create a lot.

To be very clear: Trump did not postpone the meeting - Putin cancelled. I guess he got all he needed for the moment in Helsinki. Best not to be too greedy.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Putin cancelled. Trump didn't "delay" anything. And yes that is known as taking credit for something one didn't do. This entire administration is a sick disgusting joke, but the Trumpeteer's don't care, they'll just open wide and gulp down whatever sewage comes from their dear leader's rear end.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

He may even get tougher on Russia. He talks tough when his enemies aren't around, but he's completely weak-kneed whenever they are. Putin's not around right now, so Trump probably feels a little tougher than before.

The public got to see all of Pompeo's inadequacies as Sec'y of State exposed. No qualifications, no background, no training, no government experience -- just loyalty to the Godfather and a kiss of his ring.

Did trump mean to say “there IS collusion “

or “there is no collusion “?

@cochiseFritzX Is Russia really that powerful that it is the be all, end all of American news and politics?

A bit hyperbolic, but good question nonetheless. I think many Americans are concerned that Russia is trying to re-establish and extend its empire, and so far appears to be succeeding. Many Americans don’t trust Russia.

Russia's cyberwar tactics, including use of social media, even sites like this, are aimed at convincing many of America’s intellectually vulnerable citizens that their government and media are the problem, not Russia. Look at how Russia’s using NRA and other rightist American sites to spread propaganda.

The Russian propagandists want those Americans to believe that because Russia’s against terrorists (at least some) that Russia’s on the American side.

It’s quite clear, except perhaps to the Putin-bots spouting ‘Can’t prove it! Can’t prove it!’ that Russia meddled and continues to meddle in US elections and politics.

And I’m fully aware the US has a hideous history of affecting other nations. But that doesn’t make Russia, North Korea or China’s involvement in US affairs acceptable. Except to Russian, North Korean and Chinese partisans perhaps.

Bolton is such a tool, saying the meeting will take place "after the Mueller witch hunt is over",  yeah because nothing would be more embarrassing to the Trump/Putin 2020 campaign than Mueller releasing his findings while Putin is in the US. LOL

Putin would not be in a hurry for another summit. He "won" the only summit so far - he appeared to control the proceedings while Trump appeared meek

On the other hand, Trump would want another summit as soon as possible. That's why he invited Putin all the way to the White House so quickly that his intelligence chief didn't even know (and only found out while being interviewed on stage) - he wants a do-over ASAP

Polls:

Do you approve or disapprove of how Trump handled the summit with Putin?

After summit, confident Trump will stand up for U.S. interests?

"Is Russia really that powerful that it is the be all, end all of American news and politics?"

Heck no, the media also love sex scandals, real or imagined, lol.

Trump is a 4-D chess expert.

Trump squeezes NATO for 33 billion and set the deadline on their IOU. More importantly he highlights Germany, which gets energy from Russia, is in a political quagmire and the US could pull the plug or escalate to shut it down. Trump shows the world who Is in control, especially Putin ( pin that thought ).

Then Trump goes to the U.K. And steps all over tradition -- not actually but figuratively bowing to the queen. Why? He's showing us that he doesn't answer to the old world order globalists. He stands alone. Another message to Putin before his visit.

Putin and Trump meet. Putin hands Trump the soccer ball which symbolizes several things -

A. He is acknowledging Trump is in control and even says as much.

B. He is on the team: the team of 11 players on the field +1 to make it 12. That he will work together with the U.S. to get this resolved along with the crimes that took place in Russia which he mentioned in the press conference.

Bottom line is Trump put Putin in a tough spot the week ahead of his meeting to ensure he got what he needed. Putin saw that Trump has the will and power to do two things that would sink Russia's economy for decades -

A. Escalate into a new arms race.

B. Pull the plug on oil exports in Germany and shut down the Syrian pipeline they've worked for a decade to get built. This would crush Russia.

So much for the Trump is a traitor argument.

Pompeo is the best thing Trump has going for him. He is a very likable guy that both sides can "kinda" get along with.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

To be very clear: Trump did not postpone the meeting - Putin cancelled. I guess he got all he needed for the moment in Helsinki. Best not to be too greedy.

I don’t think Trump meeting Putin at this time would serve any valid purpose, it was kind of a dumb move to begin with. The damage was done, let it go, give it a rest and wait until next year if he thinks that’s something he needs to do, but hurrying to get this guy on US soil, uhhhhh....

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

The visit has been postponed because the people you claimed don't care about Russian meddling made their voices heard.

But it’s funny they didn’t when it mattered in 2014, but it’s good they didn’t otherwise we might not have had Trump.

And guess what? Some of those voices are Republican.

Yes, but the loudest voices are Corker and Flake, they’re not up for re-election as they wouldn’t win anyway, but ok and?

Please explain your flip-flopping. Ta.

I’m not a liberal.

Bolton is such a tool, saying the meeting will take place "after the Mueller witch hunt is over",

Is that bad?

echoing his dear leader Trump's favorite line.

So what is Bolton supposed to say to his boss? Relax and think for a second on that statement.

The propaganda coming out of the mouths of the Trump administration is shallow and asinine.

To the hateful left, I have nooooo doubt about that at all.
