Trump praised Minnesota Gov Walz in 2020 for response to unrest over Floyd's murder, audio shows

Classic Trump; praising the the 'communist' he said will 'set the country on fire. '

Of course Gen. Milley got even worse for daring to defy Trump.

Echoes of 'Hang Pence'.

Anyone who believes Trump redux is good for the US is suffering from Folie à deux.

Let the MAGA flip-flopping BEGIN!

Oops!

Its like Don doesn’t understand audio is forever, like in GA….

Trump told the governor at the time that he fully agreed with how Walz handled it.

The above could be true, but knowing Trump's history of flip-flopping and his sometimes impossible to understand speaking abilities, and his slide deeper into dementia, I expect him to say 'I never said that'. I wonder whether Trump's handlers like big tech bros Elon X. Musk and Peter Thiel will come out with another manipulated AI video, this time on the reported conversation between Walz and Trump, showing Trump saying what they want him to say. Trump's owned by billionaires around the globe that know he and Vance are for sale to the highest bidders, and both have long shown they have always been ethically challenged. After all they are Republicans, the Party for people that put their personal wealth above all else, and have little regard for the country or anyone not as rich as they are.

"The entire city was burning down. ... If you didn’t have me as president, you wouldn’t have Minneapolis today,” Trump told a Republican audience.

Trump the drama queen, not afraid to exaggerate, self-aggrandize and distort, in North Korea some North Korean subjects of the Moscow-created Kim dynasty believe their dear leader and the myths built around him, cults of personality after all. Not surprising some MAGAs parrot Trump's distortions of reality, claiming their 'alternative reality' exists, because they 'feel' it's true, and to remain to be seen as loyal cult members have to parrot the falsehoods or be shunned, maybe ex-communicated, because it's like a religion.

That's like saying, libs can punch you in the mouth as many times as they want, but conservatives are not allowed to punch back because of whataboutisms?

You guys make yourselves look looney.

Says the group supporting the OLD and WEIRD presidential ticket!

LOL!

Trump the way he is!

Weird and living in his own little weird world!

I love Kamala but I,m not sure about her ability to tackle inflation and other big issues.

This does not inspire confidence.

How could you even listen to anything trump is saying? He is a liar, a fraudster, a traitor etc... if my neighbor was 5% like trump, I would never even look at him.

That will come back to bite Walz, give it some time. The left can try and drown out the noise as much as they want, but it doesn't matter, not sure what the left always want a one-sided liberal echo chamber. This is exactly why the country and frankly, the planet can be whole, because the left regardless of where they reside refuses to engage with the right and the philosophy of the left is "my way or the highway" no, you don't get to decide for millions of people globally that don't prescribe to the views of the left on every single issue, we can like and disagree as much as we want. Can't wait for the debates, because once these people are exposed for the charlatans they are, it will all just further help Trump.

Even Trump thinks Walz is awesome! Of course he has to pretend otherwise because of teams, but now we all know how he feels about Walz deep down inside.

He never said that, do you have a quote? No, you don't

Yeah, strange, you try so, so very hard.

By the sounds of it, even Trump rates Walz more highly than he rates Vance.

Even Trump thinks Walz is awesome!

He never said that, do you have a quote? No, you don't

How about this -

Trump, in the June 1, 2020, call, described Walz as “an excellent guy” and later said: “I don't blame you. I blame the mayor.” The president didn't criticize the governor at the time.

"Excellent" is close enough, isn't it?

Trump tells so many lies and fake comments he no longer knows what the truth is.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Rumours that Trump is thinking of ditching Vance due to his terrible favourability ratings. Don’t know how much there is in it but he must know he’s chosen a dud.

He should have chosen someone of the quality of Walz - a man he praised wholeheartedly.

“an excellent guy”

A ringing endorsement.

“Tim, you called up big numbers and the big numbers knocked them out so fast, it was like bowling pins,”

Wow. He usually reserved this gush for dictators around the world.

This is like a one-sided bromance.

So a republican isnt allowed to commend a democrat when they do something good?

And you call republicans divisive? jeez

*Trump, in the June 1, 2020, call, described Walz as “an excellent guy” and later said: “I don't blame you. I blame the mayor.” The president didn't criticize the governor at the time*

Is this one of those times we’re supposed to take Trump figuratively rather than literally?

Because he literally said that.

So a republican isnt allowed to commend a democrat when they do something good?

Nothing in the article can be constructed as this, it deals with the deep contradiction between what Trump and Vance have said about it.

And you call republicans divisive? jeez

Well, in this case both republicans seem to have the opposite opinion about the same thing, that i what would be divisive.

Well, no because it doesn't matter. Walz is the Gov. and the responsibility rests with him. God, I hope the left is not that stupid to try and pin this on Trump, that one is already slowly backfiring.

I don't care what Trump said because he didn't lead that state, Walz did and he did a poor job at it 18 hours allowing for these riots to go on....

Yeah, that one is definitely not going to age well.

So a republican isnt allowed to commend a democrat when they do something good?

I think it’s a good thing, until the former takes it back and spins things differently four years later for reasons. Too bad about the audio evidence.

Yeah, Harris and Walz better not even say anything to that given their history because they would win a dozen Pinocchio's.

And now Shady knows what it’s like to be Don Jr. and Eric everyday.

It has been proven time and time again that Trump is a serial liar.

Trump on Walz

"love that guy".

If he falls much lower, he might wander into “Tiffany territory”…
