Trump supporters seem to want the media to not do what their media spent eight years doing, and are all in hysterics because the "MSM" is doing exactly what their "MSM" did.

It's not fine. You just have it in your head that there is some kind of war and war makes you take positions you otherwise wouldn't take. It's a bad decision and one that hurts you, but you are getting something from Trump that outweighs the loss.

There are legitimate questions that the media needs to be asking Trump. I'm sure you understand and agree with that. Whatever you or Trump think the media is doing is irrelevant to the bigger point that Trump simply isn't answering enough questions on important issues. He can make whatever case he wants against the media, but there's no reason he can't follow it up with at least a statement on some of the bigger stories. He is keeping Americans in the dark as much as possible.

And we both know he looks into the camera and lies, and I have no idea what you expect the media to do with that. I also never hear of any objections from you which at this point I'm assuming is approval. You and I are in the same boat when he does that. We both lose. You have no reason to support a position that keeps you in the dark with absolutely nothing tangible in return. Yes, you can troll moderates and liberals, but is that really that everything to you? There's no reason why you can't call him out on that, and if enough Trump fans did he would probably do it less often. But you don't.

If you're going to avoid all of my points by turning them into a comparison of someone else, then save it. Just create your own post and put it there since you don't need anything I'm saying. Your point about hypocrisy has been made a thousand times so maybe set it aside for a minute and face the issues head on.

I think too many Trump fans want to see the media criticized above any clear answers or policy measures from Trump. Until that changes his rambling anti-press conferences will satisfy them just for being anti-press.

I understand how you're using 'source' in this instance, but as an English as a foreign language learner you should know that there are different ways to interpret what 'source' means. I keep reading in different 'sources', even Russia Today, that someone in Russia pays trolls to attack US institutions, particularly media. Do you know anything about that?

I watched it all, which is a first for me (listening to a politician speak for 90 minutes) .I have to give it to him. He predicted this news article. (Watch tomorrow's press, folks!. Or words to that effect.)

Take out his strange use of words and strange speech mannerisms. Ignore the constant references to his own achievements. Put aside dislikes for his attitudes and business behavior. (I certainly can't stand the man on a number of fronts.) He seemed quite aware of his situation and the circumstances around him.

I was reminded of a line from a poem by Edwin Morgan. (about a person perhaps not so dissimilar)

Rachel Maddow, Van Jones, James Carville, Ellis Henican and a good friend of mine that I grew up with is Cenk Uygur who is a very liberal journalist, but not far left crazy bomb thrower, we used to have deep conversations, often disagreed on many issues and on some we agreed. I think this is a question of standards rather than fake news. I honestly don't mean to be insulting here, but Trump supporters do accept a lower level of logical expression, clarity and eloquence than others from the president of the US. I'd go with the argument that what Trump voters voted for was a man who would get things done, rather than a slick salesman who truly does have a lot of words including the best words. I'd add knowing how to spell those words does help with the credibility when claiming an expansive knowledge of the language.

That was early in the campaign say 12-18 month ago. But then it became pretty obvious that what we saw was DT at his very best and that he didn't have much more to offer.

For a President of the United States to behave and speak like this makes our country-and us-look like fools and far worse: crude, ignorant, liars. Most people their core beliefs will never change much. For example, I believe if you are illegally in a country and it is found out, you gotta go. I think this is a question of standards rather than fake news. I honestly don't mean to be insulting here, but Trump supporters do accept a lower level of logical expression, clarity and eloquence than others from the president of the US.

I'd go with the argument that what Trump voters voted for was a man who would get things done, rather than a slick salesman who truly does have a lot of words including the best words. I'd add knowing how to spell those words does help with the credibility when claiming an expansive knowledge of the language.

If you're saying those claiming there's a media-led conspiracy are blind, it could be they're not actually blind in the clinical sense of the word, just benighted. Staying angry for long periods of time does have that kind of effect on some.

And just on his supporters, I was watching some cable TV today where they went deep into Trump country (bar, pool table, over weight people in cowboy and baseball hats) and asked what they thought of Trump's statement that the leaks are real but the news is fake? The more I see Trump the more i am reminded of the Coue method aka conscious autosuggestion. He always repeats the same things, the same way, with the same tone, words, facial expressions etc (was designed to build confidence).

Problem is extreme self confidence through autosuggestion often leads to delusion, fanaticism, paranoia and other mental disorders as you're completely disconnected from others, live in your own world and only believe the mantras you've created. Exactly the way I see Trump.

Pence would be worse in the sense that he would be much more competent at pursuing a policy agenda that I strongly disagree with than Trump.

He lies so much though, it is still impossible to believe that statement. The Senate needs to strongly investigate the Russian election hacking scandal and the Trump campaign involvement with Russians.

We need to know what Trump knew and when, and what information he received from advisers and what instructions he gave.

I don't want another years long partisan investigation like the Benghazi investigations.

I just want an independent investigator to make sure that Trump is not tainted by Russian influence and ensure steps are taken to prevent interference in the 2017 election. I can't take Trump's word on it with all the lies and dictatorship like comments coming from his office.

I watched excerpts from this press conference and if I didn't know Trump was teetotal, I'd swear he was half-cut. This was disturbing. Gibbering rants, silly name-calling and rambling stupidity. His approach reminded me of a hippo spinning its tail when taking a dump to spread its feces.

Get your money on him not lasting 4 years. His mind isn't going to take it. I'll be spending today looking at the best odds.
