The Republican New Hampshire Delegate: "This isn't a meeting of the Republican Party, this is a meeting of Brown Shirts."

So much for Party Unity, or allowing a Democracy of Voice Vote at the RNC Convention.

Trump Campaign Denounces John Kasich in Ohio, Where Convention Begins.

Which is a great idea. 'Cause, after all, who needs Ohio.

Moreover, the Republican Party must be destroyed.

@Chikuyokei, I was waiting for someone to point out the difference. Seems there are too many loose can(n)ons in these commentaries.

A "canon" is a form of music - for example, Pachelbel's Canon.

A "cannon" is a large and noisy form of artillery.

Trump is definitely the latter.

"Trump is a loose canon (which I love) and people are afraid of him (which I love)." - comments

Reckless and Dangerous. Another vote for David Duke. oops, Donald J. Trump.

This pretty much summarizes the philosophy of those who wish to be led by a Dictator.

Trump supporters.

Say a prayer for Cleveland.

"It's going to be ten times worse for you this time when you watch even Republicans moving over to vote for Hilary because they can't tolerate the bigot you guys elected to be your representative."

Nah, smith, it's more Democrats, disillusioned with establishment politics and especally with Crooked Hillary, are going to vote for Trump or Jill Stein, but never Hillary.

Serrano: "Too many Americans are fed up with establishment politics to vote in Hillary Clinton"

As opposed to Trump? who is not only a liar, but a misogynist and a racist, which has been proven by his own words. What's always amusing is watching you guys say "BLM is racist!" -- a black movement that demands black lives be included amongst those that matter -- but turn around and say "Trump is not racist!" when the guy says Mexicans are rapists, wants to profile all Muslims based on the fact that they are Muslims, and belittles people based on their ethnic background. He is the very definition of racist.

Remember how bad you felt when Obama won against that moron McCain and his moon unit of a partner? It's going to be ten times worse for you this time when you watch even Republicans moving over to vote for Hilary because they can't tolerate the bigot you guys elected to be your representative.

"The question is why did the GOP choose such an inexperienced bigot to represent their party(?)."

Nah, the question is why did the Democrats choose such a corrupt liar who is virtually tied with the "inexperienced bigot" to represent their party when they could have chosen a decent and honest candidate who clearly beats Trump in the polls?

Go trump!

shirokuma: BUT....it is against the rules of the Republican Convention to bring tennis balls, back packs or water guns to the Convention.

Actually they aren't allowing guns into the GOP convention. They were probably worried about it being too safe with all the good guys with guns.

Serrano: Too many Americans are fed up with establishment politics to vote in Hillary Clinton

They can be fed up with Hillary all they want. The question is why did the GOP choose such an inexperienced bigot to represent their party.

Too many Americans are fed up with establishment politics

I would encourage you to read up on Trump's family history, his roles in global business and politics, the politics of the modern Republican Party and the current Republican Party platform. I think you'll find Trump is a .01% member of the international political and business establishment, unless of course your my-side bias limits your objectivity and prevents you from seeing what you don't want to see. I would encourage you to also read up on Trump's corrupt business dealings. Once again, unless your my-side bias limits your objectivity and prevents you from seeing his dirtball-ness, I think you'll find he's as sleazy as they come.

Hillary does have her negatives, but Trump is absolutely frightening. Unless you're a true believing sheeple who believes what he and his MSM lackies say, you suspend objectivity, and are willing to swallow his claims to make America (whatever he says today) again. HE'S IN IT FOR HIMSELF. He cares jack-nada for you.

Too many Americans are fed up with establishment politics to vote in Hillary Clinton, the most corrupt and with the highest negatives Democratic candidate in history.

The Republican Convention is in Ohio. It is an "open carry" state. This means if you are a registered gun license holder, you may carry your loaded pistol in a holster or a loaded long rifle slung over your shoulder in public as long as it is NOT concealed.

BUT....it is against the rules of the Republican Convention to bring tennis balls, back packs or water guns to the Convention.

Anybody see a problem here??

It's the 21st century and most people still whine about skin color, progress is mind numbing (gross sarcasm)

"Obama is weak and that's why NO ONE fears him, Trump is a loose canon (which I love) and people are afraid of him (which I love)."

Yes, but many of the people who fear him are not the enemies of the US. They are decent people who see something potentially disastrous from a man-child with a thin skin, a hair trigger temper, a stupendous ignorance of issues that matter and completely unworkable 'policies'.

I remember one commentator said if you could see 4 years into the future and find the country reeling from the most disastrous president in the history of the USA, you'd put your mortgage on that president being Trump, not Clinton. Early on you saw the lunacy of the Trump thing and you should keep in mind why you thought that way.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

The first night will include speakers on Benghazi and that Duck Dynasty guy. Should be pretty fun to see the new face of the GOP.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump is a loose canon (which I love) and people are afraid of him (which I love). A very dangerous mix, so whats Trump to do when he spews his threats towards say Russia, Putin doesn't fear Trump, and there's nothing Trump can do to Russia that they cant do in return. When there's no threats to pull a person or country into line then diplomacy is the only option, something Trump clearly has no understanding of and what a POTUS requires

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Funny who the rightwing folks who discounted Trump initially as that was what they were told to do now have rallied behind him like he is a saint. He is still the same racist, bankrupt conman he was when he started his campaign last year. The other 15 candidates were so horrible that the conman won. It just proves how broken the republican party is, no heavyweights are even showing up for the convention. It is pathetic. Any normal republican could beat Hillary but the republican party cannot nominate anyone normal any longer. You have to be a racist to win.

Trump has run a brilliant campaign to this point. He is tied right now with the lying witch. She had only one opponent and Trupm had over a dozen. Trump spent literally pennies to Clintons dollars. Now you see a calmer Trump, less Hollywood Apprentice. Don't you anti-Trumpers see what he's done? He is no idiot as some like to say. He's no racist as all you like go claim. He is a smart tactical man. Is he perfect, by no means. Is he a liar like Hillary? Not proven yet.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Trump is a loose canon (which I love)

So you're an anarchist.

and people are afraid of him (which I love).

People are afraid of the economic and social disasters that his presidency would create. Sounds to me like you don't love your country very much.

* StrangerlandJUL. 18, 2016 - 09:03AM JST Many of us are still waiting for Hillary to denounce the BLM

Why would she? It's not a racist movement, and only racists want her to denounce it. Are you saying you think Hillary should become racist?*

BLM most certainly is racist! They are intolerant of "ALL Lives Matter" and certainly oppose "BLUE Lives Matter". If that isn't racist what is? They have inflated truths. Lied about facts. Even some of them want dead cops.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Of course the BLM is a racist movement.

What's the difference between Trump's narcissism and Obama's narcissism? Nothing really? Pretty much the same, both inflated egos, however the stark difference between the two, Obama is weak and that's why NO ONE fears him, Trump is a loose canon (which I love) and people are afraid of him (which I love).

People don’t know exactly what it’s going to be.

I do. It's going to be:

-- I'm great, I really am.

-- We're going to win, more than the winningest winner that has ever won

-- Muslims are bad. Muslims love me, and I love them, but lets be honest, they're bad.

-- China.

-- Build a wall

-- Did I mention how great I am, and that we're going to win? And that Muslims are bad?

“He [Donald J. Trump] does really well on the teleprompters,” Priebus told The Associated Press. “It really is, I think, presidential.” - article

Turning Trump into a robot would help. But, it would still be an evil robot.

Robots don't deserve that.

“He doesn’t have natural filters,” New York GOP Chairman Ed Cox said. “Let’s see about the acceptance speech. That’s probably going to be the most watched acceptance speech ever, because it’s going to be dramatic. People don’t know exactly what it’s going to be.” - article

Everyone hopes there's some kind of decent person inside Trump's rabid prejudice.

There isn't. Let Trump Be Trump, an evil robot.

What more need we know? That's what happens when Daddy doesn't condemn David Duke, Holocaust Denier.

Many of us are still waiting for Hillary to denounce the BLM, wonder when that's going to happen?

'Will Donald Trump Turn the GOP Convention into Chicago 1968?'

Oh, really? Hmmm, 40% of Bernie Supporters say they will NOT support Hillary Clinton. Methinks there is a very high likelihood that at the upcoming Democratic convention the people should make sure security is tight and bomb sniffing dogs are present. This could get ugly as well, but good luck to y'all!

"Ivanka Trump’s rabbi, scheduled to deliver the opening prayer, also backed out." - article

What more need we know? That's what happens when Daddy doesn't condemn David Duke, Holocaust Denier.

"“We want America to understand who Donald Trump the man is, not just Donald Trump the candidate,” Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, said Sunday on the convention floor."

Looks like everyone who needs to, knows what Trump the "man" is. He's the guy who refused to condemn David Duke.

Trump? Can you imagine him as our president? What tone would he set? What would his priorities be? What would be his guiding light? How long before he did something that threatened the fabric of our nation? I never thought I'd see a less serious candidate than George W. Bush, but if you live long enough, you see everything take place. I thought I'd have to live longer though...

"That moment may help Trump score what he needs most from the convention: a picture of a Republican Party united behind his candidacy."

"According to any number of preference polls, Trump heads into the convention as one of the most unpopular major party nominees ever." - article

Worst, Trump is using the event as a personal celebration of Donald J. Trump.

Americans are clearly not anywhere near as interested in Trump as Trump is in himself.

What most will agree on is Cleveland is a good place not to be anywhere near for a week or more.

"So Trump doing his version of a touchdown dance in the end zone would not be unprecedented. But there would be a large problem for the GOP this year, should it follow Obama's lead. If Trump were to hold his coronation in one of these stadiums, he would have to open up the event to thousands of people not vetted for the convention. That means that a large number of potential protesters could attend. Maybe thousands. Given the conflict that has occurred at Trump campaign rallies, it is not hard to imagine what could happen in such a situation."
