Waking up to see what Trump has wrought each morning, is like daily checking on a raccoon trapped in your basement.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

Doesn't matter if people don't like it or not, president or not.

Yes it does. Everyone knows that different factions in the media will talk trash. They're looking for a reaction and they got it so they keep going. That's how it works. The only thing that matters is how the president reacts and how that reflects on the whole of the US. At the moment he's making America look like a bad episode of the Jeremy Kyle show. Pathetic.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

If the Prez can't take criticism, it's going to be a long 4 years for him.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

you can't expect someone who is dumb to behave smart

14 ( +14 / -0 )

President Trump appears to have the emotional intelligence of a pop-tart.

Well, perhaps not that high. I apologize to pop-tarts everywhere.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

It's only time before he starts dropping the F-bomb in his tweets. This guy has a serious mental issue.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

No one else would and why should he? If the same thing was done on that level of a scale to the previous president and he would fire back, the left would be up in applause were he to fight back and to frank, he would have been in his rights to do so.

Do you think the pervious president should have unleashed a 3am stinking barrage of trash on Twitter at Trump for his disgusting birtherism?

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Honestly you would expect better behavior from a juvenile pop tween.. and this is the guy with the big red button. Its not funny or even slightly amusing, its just pathetic.

"Japan today commenters are FAKE NEWS, its bad, terrible bad, many bad people. Don Don make all good great, so great....."

11 ( +11 / -0 )

We are talking about human being

Funny you never defend the people that Trump attacks.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

So what? Are you scared that the world will judge or hate us? They've been doing that forever, so why care now? LOL

and now validated.

...these two pathetic moonbats ... We are talking about human being.

Funny how the only people who ever count as a human being to you are the people who share your politics exactly.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Good to see our President is using his time to prep for his G20 trip next week.

When you are faced with some important meetings with world leaders there is nothing like sitting around in your man diaper, watching Fox and Friends, and firing off some Twitter salvos !

10 ( +10 / -0 )

No, just the nut jobs that think they have a say in politics and can't bring anything to the table except moan and complain.

Almost perfectly describes Trump and his performance as POTUS so far.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

@bass

So what? Are you scared that the world will judge or hate us? They've been doing that forever, so why care now? LOL

You seem to use that logic selectively. With Obama, you cared a lot about what the world thought. Just a few days ago you posted:

our enemies called it spineless.

The Russians, the Saudis, the Iranians, the Cubans, North Korea, the Syrians, the Chinese. When you have European leaders telling America it needs to lead from the front, you know you hit rock bottom.

But it wasn't rock bottom. Fact is, Obama was a very popular president internationally, and moderately so domestically (the numbers dragged down by those convinced that Obama was a socialist, Muslim Antichrist).

Now you've got a president who doesn't have a clue about policy of any kind, who spends his time playing golf, hanging out at Mar-a-Lago, watching TV, getting worked up about what the media says about him, and tweeting about it. Trump is a narcissist. Ultimately, all of his thoughts revolve around his ego. That is not just opinion. You can track it in his daily comments. And twitter is the ultimate refuge of narcissists.

A recent international survey by Pew showed a remarkable level of disrespect for Trump as opposed to Obama. The only outliers? Russia and Israel.

You may enjoy not caring about how the vast majority of people on this planet think Trump is an annoying jerk and an incompetent fool. It will not make America or the world great. It will have repercussions. When faith in the very foundations of what people believe is great about America is destroyed (not that the U.S. is a perfect democracy anyway), you're looking at real trouble.

Everyone knows Trump is a fighter

Cuz nothing says "fighter" like ranting on twitter. He's so tough.

Here's a video of Donny the street fighter.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zErgz09dESs

yeah, so tough.

Bass: No one else would and why should he? If the same thing was done on that level of a scale to the previous president

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama_citizenship_conspiracy_theories

My favorite: "On October 24, 2012, Trump offered to donate five million dollars to the charity of Obama's choice in return for the publication of his college and passport applications before October 31, 2012."

Those guys used to be on the fringe but now they're in the White House.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

I am so glad you were with me throughout my career and have known me all my life. LOL

Unsubstatiated claims do make people laugh out loud.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Perso I have no problem with politicians trying to expose news media political bias, in the us and elsewhere. After all, they sure have the right to defend themselves and denounce the media when they think/know fake or biased info is being published.

But that's not what DT is doing. From circus politics we are now down to gutter politics with name-calling & character assassination a daily occurrence. If you want the us to 'lead by example' you need a potus to do exactly that in his own backyard. I don't even expect or demand Presidents/PM to be 'role models' but I simply can't take someone who indulge in sledging pretty much everyday seriously.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

...the looney left ... temper tantrums ...a lynch mob ... They can be civil or nasty about this.

How very...civil of you.

Do you think Trump's ad hominem attacks are making America great again?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

bass4funkToday  08:06 pm JST

"Nut jobs" now? And to think just a few hours ago you were pleading with us to remember that "We are talking about human being." [sic]

I don't plead or beg, not my style, but yes, even liberals are human

So why is it you think Trump's humanity should grant him protection from insults but you feel entitled to insult "liberals" (let's be honest, what you really mean is everyone who disagrees with you about anything), who you grudgingly concede are also human, every chance you get?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Controversy sells, made up or not.

Trump feeds into it.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

The daily, expected unhinged Trump bashing by the fake media. They are so angry that this guy does not play their game and has found a way to bypass them, they are losing control.

Another one. So, what do you think of Trump tweeting idiotic, bitchy trash?

I think these kinds of tweets are utter trash. What do you think?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

The people chose an outsider and not a professional politician, can't hold him to the same standard, if people wanted a career politician, they would have chosen either Hillary or Bush.

I hold any president to the same standard. The presidency is the presidency. It is a position of enormous responsibility, not a school popularity contest. Or I s Trump prom king?

You suggest that lack of knowledge on policy is a good thing. Do you also want the person piloting your plane to be someone with no flying experience?

By the way, people did choose Hillary. We're just stuck with Trump because of an anachronism in the American electoral system, brought about in large part because of the interests of southern slave owners. Southern trees bear a strange fruit.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Back at you, the goes for you guys that feel the same about Trump supporters.

If you don't understand the context of what you yourself have written perhaps it's time to pack it in rather than throw out irrelevant, out of context rebuttals.

But the more the left eggs this guy on, he's just going to punch back harder.

That's why people are starting to compare him to Idi Amin, Robert Mugabe, the Kim family... He just has no clue that the more he fights the worse things are going to get for him.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I'm pretty sure Trump's enjoying this.

TRUMP ATTACKING MSNBC MORNING JOE LOW RATINGS: Trump Calls Mika Brzezinski "Dumb As Rock"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqIAeiuJYe0

He's been sucked in. Looks like you have too. The more he responds the more he'll be scrutinized and not just by the media... and we all know he hates the scrutiny.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Why can't they shut down his stupid twitter account as a national security issue?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Heh, Preident Twitter Troll never did cough up the five mil did he ? Although I doubt his Russian paymasters would sign off on such a loan....

This is the depths of depravity to which the insane Republican party has sunk. It's actually quite fitting that Donald J Trump heads the Asylum.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

From Trump "I'm not a president, I'm a modern president!"

Expect this line to be repeated by the those who've been full-on Trump cult-if@cated. Remember, they were so anti-American they wanted Trump to smash the American system. (No clue what to replace the system with - just smash it like Bush did in Iraq.) I'll give a tip of the hat to the Russians who encouraged the breaking of the US; that was their job. The Americans who wanted it broken? Make your own bed.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

No, but I personally hold the media equally to a hire standard

As you said, the Punch and Judy media is there for ratings. Gibbering, partisan bobble-heads like Hannity and Maddow and other insults to the intelligence are nothing new. The last president and the one before him were subjected to this crap.

What is new is trash coming from the president himself. He wallowed in trash as a candidate and is still pumping out rancid rubbish.

It disgraces the office and the country. Leave the trash to the tabloids. You write for one of the most respected papers in the English language. You of all people here must see how this kind of tone from the president is corrosive.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

“Since the signing of the declaration of independence 241 years ago, America always affirmed that liberty comes from our creator. Our rights are given to us by God, and no earthly force can ever take those rights away,” he said.

That's from, The Guardian. Although you'd be forgiven for thinking it hailed from the Isamic State with all the spooky ultra religious tones.

Trump's war on people who don't agree with him - it is going to backfire, spectacularly.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

He now represents more than just one man - he represents the Office of the US President, those who have come before him, and those who will come after him

5 ( +5 / -0 )

That's why you have a co-pilot. Trump has a bunch of advisors to help him along the way.

So what is this pilot doing in the cockpit anyway?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Did he really get the votes of 62 million people?? What is it these people like about him? The hatred? The rage? The jealousy? The greed? The callousness? The lying? The cheating? The deviousness? The cynicism?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump has shown he still is the darling of the media. Every Trump tweet is heard round the world and then followed by headlines in outlets representing the full spectrum of political beliefs, from ultra-rightist outlets controlled by the Koch brothers, Murdoch, Putin (e.g. Russia Today among others) plus those found in Saudi Arabia, North Korea and other places ruled by tyrants, to the farthest left pole and every point in between.

Watching the nuclear powered train wreck that is the US and its erratic conductor fascinates and frightens, making for more unusual stories for the media to report, making media everywhere richer.

The media love Trump!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Take comfort in the fact that Trump can not and will not win against the media. No POTUS ever has. There will come a point when enough people are convinced that Trump is an absolute nutcase and needs to be replaced for the good of the US and the world.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The GOP his ignoring his budget, his calls for investigations, his unsubstantiated accusations, his wall, his stance on Russia, and quite a few other things. He's probably the fastest lame duck Presidential in history.

His chief role appears to be antagonizing the press and people he doesn't like, but not a whole lot of policy headwind where he needs cooperation from his party. If the healthcare thing gets too bad he'll definitely bail and throw the GOP under the bus so that will be taken off the list as well.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"We are talking about human being."

Barely human. Possibly human...by default.

"there's a lot of bent up emotional anger"

I believe it's "pent up"

"I personally hold the media equally to a hire standard"

But No one went out to vote for her except California and she screwed Wisconsin

Can you prove that? Tell me, how much did Donny win the popular vote by?

When is the last time a DNC candidate was elected to the whitehouse after losing the popular vote, but by winning the EC?

Why can't they shut down his stupid twitter account as a national security issue?

The Republican party needs shutting down, they are global security issue.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trumpy Twitter behaviour lately seems to suggest that he has noticed an increase in attention. Look forward to an increase in this trend.

He will take on the wrong person one day. For instance, that remark about blood from a facelift is the type of thing that is going to get somebody sued, unless the person actually has had a facelift and it is just unfortunate.

But one day soon, I hope.

Incidentally, Mika Brzezinski looks seriously like Robin Wright's Claire Underwood in the picture.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The daily, expected unhinged Trump bashing by the fake media. They are so angry that this guy does not play their game and has found a way to bypass them, they are losing control. No its Trumps volatile tweets that keep feeding the hornets nest that is the media. If hed just STFU and do his job then much of swarm would just calm down. But no Trump just keeps punching the nest with his small hands and expects a different result, If you cant take criticism then being POTUS is the last job you'd want to apply for.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

for someone very dumb, he's very clever. I think you confusing inherited wealth, extortion, litigation, nontransparent business practices (much of what Trumps empire is built on) as a sign of intelligence. Even the best poker players in the world arent always of high intelligence

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The DNC? Did Trump mention the Democrats?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump Calls Mika Brzezinski "Dumb As Rock"

Just too funny for Trump to be calling anybody else 'dumb'!

This man is so dumb he doesn't know he's dumb.

Hachiko: good points. We are not dealing with a person who can ever have been employed in any capacity by any media organization.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Did he really get the votes of 62 million people?? What is it these people like about him?

That he wasn't a Democrat.

Core Republicans didn't want President Trump. He was forced onto them by the reality-TV watching crazies who took over the party just long enough to get some outsider, any outsider, nominated.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump is trolling the crap out of CNN and I hope he keeps doing it.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trump is trolling the crap out of CNN

Just what American needs, a troll-in-chief.

Comments like the above show exactly where the priorities of his peons lie - they don't care about effectively leadership of the country, they just want someone who can troll in the head position.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

President Trump should keep on tweeting!

This is his way of exercising his rights to freedom of speech especially in defending himself against the sometimes so one sided and totally biased but very powerful media syndicates that could powderize all of their targets at whim!

Welcome to the new normal!

Thank you President Trump for standing up to this so-called "freedom of the press" warlords!

It's about time!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

The legacy media is butthurt that this guy fights back, unlike the usual republican clown politicians. (The other side hardly gets attacked by the corporate legacy media, so they don´t have issue). High-five from for this guy to using social media to bypass the corrupt propaganda meisters at CNN et al.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

This man is so dumb he doesn't know he's dumb.

A dumb man with a lot of cash, real estate, jets helicopters and the POTUS, for someone very dumb, he's very clever.

We are not dealing with a person who can ever have been employed in any capacity by any media organization.

Uh-huh, sure, nice try. LOL

Legacy Media Confused that Trump Would Defend Himself

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dINADNp0gY

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Can you prove that?

She never went to Wisconsin, that's a fact and No one told her to do that.

Tell me, how much did Donny win the popular vote by?

Yes, Hillary won't the popular vote, but that's not our system and all those people that allegedly supported her didn't come out in massive numbers. If Blacks and Hispanics would have turned out in record numbers the way they did for Obama there is no question in my mind she would have won, but they didn't, they weren't feeling her and that's it.

When is the last time a DNC candidate was elected to the whitehouse after losing the popular vote, but by winning the EC?

You sound like talking about this will mythically and magically change the results. Time to move on guys. Complaining won't change the current situation.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

I giggle everyday when I watch the DNP sink deeper in the wet cement.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Aaah, the let try so very hard. Well, so far, the investigations into Trump have turned out to be a complete ruse and as for lame duck, not even close, now I will say, the left are so beyond desperate, they will sell their mothers down the river to get rid of this president, good luck on that. But while the left are undertaking this fruitless task, they're politically digging a deeper holes for themselves. Keep going guys, ya'll doing a bang up job.

Funny how the only people who ever count as a human being to you are the people who share your politics exactly.

That would seem to be the basic approach of most opinion posters here.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Do you have any idea what happened to Trump? Not just the delusions of grandeur, the narcisissm and misogyny but the other stuff. The really, really nasty allegations?

you must know what I'm referring to.

I do and I thought a lot of how it all unfolded was pure BS.

Also... The fact you admit the only people who count as human beings to you are nutjobs speaks magnitudes.

Back at you, the goes for you guys that feel the same about Trump supporters.

You seem to use that logic selectively. With Obama, you cared a lot about what the world thought. Just a few days ago you posted:

When I called him spineless and weak? Yes, that is correct.

But it wasn't rock bottom. Fact is, Obama was a very popular president internationally, and moderately so domestically (the numbers dragged down by those convinced that Obama was a socialist, Muslim Antichrist).

Again, I could care less what libs or the international community thought about the man there are millions that didn't think he was a good president at all.

Now you've got a president who doesn't have a clue about policy of any kind, who spends his time playing golf, hanging out at Mar-a-Lago, watching TV, getting worked up about what the media says about him, and tweeting about it.

The people chose an outsider and not a professional politician, can't hold him to the same standard, if people wanted a career politician, they would have chosen either Hillary or Bush.

Ok, and?

You may enjoy not caring about how the vast majority of people on this planet think Trump is an annoying jerk and an incompetent fool. It will not make America or the world great.

That is a matter of opinion.

It will have repercussions. When faith in the very foundations of what people believe is great about America is destroyed (not that the U.S. is a perfect democracy anyway), you're looking at real trouble.

If trouble does come, it will be from the looney left that cannot accept the process, do what is necessary to win elections, have a strong message and show you are different and why people should vote for you and as of now, the Democrats are nowhere near that point yet and that's because they can't and refuse to accept the political process and think that having temper tantrums will get them their way and if they keep up with rhetoric like that nutjob Michael Moore trying to organize a lynch mob to storm the offices of Congress. That sounds very much like a terrorist threat. Moore should be careful otherwise he will get a knock on the door by the Feds, if the left keep it up, they'll never get elected to anything for a very long time. So, the ball is in their court. They can be civil or nasty about this.

"Nut jobs" now? And to think just a few hours ago you were pleading with us to remember that "We are talking about human being." [sic]

I don't plead or beg, not my style, but yes, even liberals are human

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Do you think Trump's ad hominem attacks are making America great again?

Not at all, so please tell the left to stop with the constant barrage of verbal attacks and you won't have to hear Trump respond. But the more the left eggs this guy on, he's just going to punch back harder.

I hold any president to the same standard. The presidency is the presidency. It is a position of enormous responsibility, not a school popularity contest. Or I s Trump prom king?

No, but I personally hold the media equally to a hire standard and they have not acted like that for awhile, but it really got out of hand once Trump became president and the constant spreading of fake news has made the MSM a laughing joke and has made the people distrust them more than ever. Respect is a two way streak and the media equally shouldn't get a pass and that's why they are out of control and it's because libs are ok with an out of control MSM, but want the president to act presidential? Give me a break. Trump has never been and never will be a passive person.

You suggest that lack of knowledge on policy is a good thing. Do you also want the person piloting your plane to be someone with no flying experience?

That's why you have a co-pilot. Trump has a bunch of advisors to help him along the way.

By the way, people did choose Hillary.

But No one went out to vote for her except California and she screwed Wisconsin, never visiting that State and thinking Pennsylvania and Michigan were shoe ins. All those libs didn't come out to vote, like they did for Trump, not the Blacks or the Hispanics, but that's history, don't need to worry or talk about what could've or would've been.

We're just stuck with Trump because of an anachronism in the American electoral system, brought about in large part because of the interests of southern slave owners. Southern trees bear a strange fruit.

Ok and that's it? Lol

Its going to be a very long 4-8 years for you guys. ROFL

It's actually quite fitting that Donald J Trump heads the Asylum.

Really, judging by the last 6 months, it seems like Pelosi Waters and Jackson were Nurse Rachet's of the Asylum.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

Well, if Mika and Joe want the tweets to stop, then they should stop brutally trashing the president everyday. Everyone knows Trump is a fighter and he's not going to stand by and allow these two pathetic moonbats to walk all over him anymore. Doesn't matter if people don't like it or not, president or not. We are talking about human being. But this is definitely personal between the three and there's a lot of bent up emotional anger amongst them towards each other, so there's a lot more going on under the surface than we all will ever know.

President Trump appears to have the emotional intelligence of a pop-tart.

I used to work for that wretched network and if you think his intelligence is that of a pop-tart, that's still a lot higher than the intelligence coming out of that show and msnbc in particular.

-14 ( +3 / -17 )

Cuz nothing says "fighter" like ranting on twitter. He's so tough.

Has nothing to do with Trump, more like, I'm not taking your **** anymore.

Really, that might depend on who you are asking, we didn't take a giant poll across the country. There are people that are turned off about it, sure, but there are also people out there that love what he did, especially to those two moonbats.

Funny you never defend the people that Trump attacks.

What? Mika and Joe???? Dear lord......

I'll say this, I met Joe in Florida in 1998 back when I was at NBC around the time msnbc was a growing experiment and at that time he was NOT like what he is now, I have NO idea what happened to the man. I think all those years at the peacock network has really done something to his mental capacity, that or Mika.
