@ulysses: and a spine.

A president taking a two-week holiday? I guess when all you do as president is tweet and play golf, a two-week holiday really isn’t unreasonable.

Trump is not suitable for this position.

Trump returns to answer why now un-redacted e-mails show him directly ordering the stop on the Ukraine military aid - can't blame Rudy or Mulvaney now....

And more Wag the Dog...

The State of the Union address will show his complete and utter mental breakdown...

Hope the boys in the white coats are standing by outside the Capital to haul him to the rubber room...

Because “now” was the time all the high value people were at the airport together. Right after an American was killed and our embassy attacked. But muh impeachment.

Why does he pick now to take this highly inflammatory, highly dangerous action that moves us closer to war?” the Massachusetts senator said.

Oh will he? great news! A trial which will acquit him of all articles. Seems he would be looking forward to that, not worried at all.

Next week, the president of the United States could be facing an impeachment trial in the Senate.

The only thing easier to buy in America than a gun is a Republican.

For Republicans - the longer the delay, the more evidence comes out against Trump.

No wonder Lindsay Graham's grasping at straws to get the Republicans' sham impeachment "trial" underway without documents or witnesses, before any other evidence can come out.

So just keep the impeachment* open ended until 2025 then?

Your guys said they were done and voted, so all the evidence is done, no? Or did you just rush it through for political purposes without enough evidence to prove your point?

before any other evidence can come out.

Patraeus seems to have quite a different perspective than the agitated left-minions :

More like play the game of making situations worst to distract then allow someone else to bring it back to normal. Finally, he pretend that he made the situation better because it is back to normal.

So, he can have something to talk about at his next rally until he comes up with more distractions for his incompetence.

Rinse and repeat!

The impeachment will be over so quickly, already losing steam and no one really cares, Iran is a bigger issue the President needs to worry about.

The only thing easier to buy in America than a gun is a Republican.

No, that’s why none of them voted for this farce.

For Republicans - the longer the delay, the more evidence comes out against Trump.

And McConnell doesn’t have to take any of it. Watch that acquittal come hard and fast.

No wonder Lindsay Graham's grasping at straws to get the Republicans' sham impeachment "trial" underway without documents or witnesses, before any other evidence can come out.

What evidence? Nothing that hasn’t already come out and besides, who the hell do the Democrats think they are? They completely lost it. The Senate couldn’t tell the House Dems what to do, it won’t be any different....or do Dems think, I’m omnipotent! I am a Democrat and I hold rank over every politician in the Senate and everyone has to follow me.

Next Trump rally....

"We're bringing the troops home!" "No more endless wars!" "No more American blood in the sand!"....

Cheers, fist pumps, flag waving...

"But we're going to bomb Iran at 52 locations and kill thousands and ensure the US remains mired in the Middle East for another 20 years!".....

Cheers, fist pumps, flag waving...

I believe its called mass hysteria....

facing twin challenges: the fallout from the strike he ordered to kill an Iranian general and his looming impeachment trial in the Senate.

The possible impeachment trial, if the Dems ever hand over the articles of Impeachment Lite to the Senate, is not a challenge, it only helps Trump's re-election.

SuperLib: Trump is not suitable for this position

I am so going to remind you of this comment when Trump wins re-election in a landslide.

Only if Iran doesn’t heed the multiple warnings we have given. why don’t you advocate that they just do that?

But we're going to bomb Iran at 52 locations and kill thousands and ensure the US remains mired in the Middle East for another 20 years!".....

Seems to me that President Trump is helped by his impeachment. He will not be "convicted" or removed from office by the Senate unless there is a lot more evidence out there than has been released thus far. This will only embolden his supporters, cast doubt upon the Democrats' reason for impeaching him, and lead to a resounding reelection.

Please tell me that I am wrong. I am no supporter of President Trump's policies. But I don't think what he has supposedly done meets the definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors." I didn't think it when it happened to President Clinton. I didn't think it when some were calling for the impeachment of President Obama.

Reality, people. Forget the removal by impeachment. If the Democrats really want him out, they should focus on offering a decent candidate for President this year. So far, I have found none among them. So, as usual, if I vote (very unlikely) it will almost surely be for the Libertarian Party candidate.
