This makes it easier for Trump & Co. to hide their crimes by keeping all of the do-gooders in the dark.

Trump, the petulant child.

2 ( +18 / -16 )

Yep that’s what happens when you get fired.

Trump, the petulant child.

No, they don’t need to have security access as an outgoing party, for what? Also, they have more than enough money to hire private security.

Yep that’s what happens when you get fired.

The ex head of the US Coast Guard was given 3 hours notice to vacate her on base residence!

The ex head of the US Coast Guard was given 3 hours notice to vacate her on base residence!

2 weeks after she was fired and was still living there anyway.

-3 ( +12 / -15 )

And…Also what happens when you get fired.

-6 ( +10 / -16 )

The move came a day after Trump said he had revoked the security clearance for his predecessor Joe Biden, stopping his access to daily intelligence briefings.

Smart move.

Biden was a huge security risk while in office, as we saw Russia invade Ukraine, Hamas commit a massacre, China encroaching more and more on US proprietary information.

they don’t need to have security access as an outgoing party, for what?

Read the story:

"Former U.S. presidents have traditionally received intelligence briefings so they can advise incumbent presidents on national security and foreign policy."

The government needs some continuity across administrations. It shouldn't be reinventing the wheel every time a new POTUS comes in. That's just bad for the effective and efficient operation of government (which MAGA doesn't believe in).

Read the story:

I read this:

In 2021, Biden revoked the security clearance for Trump, who was then a former president.

when you get fired.

she was fired.

when you get fired.

I heard that word on a tee-vee show. It arouses me bigly.

-4 ( +6 / -10 )

Former U.S. presidents….so they can advise incumbent presidents on national security and foreign policy.

Joe Biden didn’t advise on anything when he was President, why would he start doing that now? He and his team were fired.

Joe Biden didn’t advise on anything when he was President, why would he start doing that now? He and his team were fired.

Biden was fired by other Democrats.

Even they didn't trust him and his team.

-2 ( +9 / -11 )

In 2021, Biden revoked the security clearance for Trump, who was then a former president.

Because he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, propagated falsehoods about the election, and provoked an attack on the US Capitol.

i.e. a real bad loser.

Trump revokes security clearances for Blinken, Sullivan

Very much a deserved response for Biden removing Trumps clearance. Good for the democrat radicals get a taste of their own medicine.

That said, both Blinken and Sullivan have commited horrible political errors. So good that these warmongers are finally away from the levers of power.

-5 ( +9 / -14 )

This is both hilarious and entertaining. Trump apparently can do some good.

-1 ( +10 / -11 )

More winning.

Why Bragg even has a SC is a larger question.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

i don’t trust anybody anymore. even myself.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

And yet, Trump gives away security clearances to Elon and his dodgy DOGE racist teenagers like candy. I guess as long as you kiss the hand of the king, you can get a clearance from Trump.

Trump gives away security clearances to Elon

Joe Biden gave Elon his security clearance.

-5 ( +7 / -12 )

No, they don’t need to have security access as an outgoing party, for what?

So you can get a job in the private sector. A Secret or Top Secret clearance is good for five years. If you retire from Federal Service or even just quit before reaching retirement you don't surrender your clearance. Having that clearance makes it much less costly for a contractor to hire you.

There is actually a process for revoking a security clearance and that process has not been followed, giving those who's clearances were revoked a pretty strong case for a lawsuit.

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Joe Biden gave Elon his security clearance.

Elon Musk lost his clearance years ago for well known drug abuse. There are workspaces at Space X that he cannot enter because he lacks the necessary security clearance.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

Yep that’s what happens when you get fired.

Just like how Trump was overwhelmingly fired in 2020.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

The actual policy for federal employees:

“When you permanently leave the position for which the security clearance was granted, your security clearance is terminated.

(they permanently left)

If you no longer require access to classified information but you continue to be employed by the same cleared contractor or agency,

(they aren’t employed, so the rest of the “if” below doesn’t apply)

you can have your clearance administratively downgraded or withdrawn until you need access again, so long as your security clearance investigation has not gone out of date.”

The actual policy for federal employees:

Wow. I guess every administration has been doing it wrong until Stable Genius ascended the throne.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

Elon Musk lost his clearance years ago for well known drug abuse.

he didn’t. He had a clearance still in Dec 2024

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/dec/16/elon-musk-government-security-clearance

questioned in Oct 2024 by The Atlantic:

“Why Does Elon Musk Still Have a Security Clearance?”

-6 ( +7 / -13 )

Wow. I guess every administration has been doing it wrong until Stable Genius ascended the throne.

I guess so cause that’s the policy.

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

Nothing so highlights the outright hypocrisy, vindictiveness, and pettiness of MAGA 2.0 as the Felon from MAL revoking security clearances when he stole classified, refused to return it, had his lawyer lie in writing to the FBI, re-hid what he kept, then told his aides to destroy evidence...all while keeping a stack of TS beside his toilet so his illegal immigrant maid or Chinese house guest could peruse it...

Next week he'll be handing out clearances - to Putin, Orban, Xi, and Kim...

4 ( +10 / -6 )

I guess so cause that’s the policy.

Which you don't fully grasp. There is a different policy for Presidents, members of Congress, cabinet appointees, and others who fall outside the usual designation of "federal employee" (as outlined in the Constitution). It is therefore up to the sitting President to determine whether or not, and to what degree, these particular people need security clearance.

The tradition has been to appoint clearance based on what is best for national security, and not on personal grievance.

At least until Stable Genius ascended the throne.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

How do they feel now the shoe is on the other side?

You just answered your own statement.

and not on personal grievance.

Which is why Musk was brought in. Cleaning house….

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Next week he'll be handing out clearances - to Putin, Orban, Xi, and Kim...

oh yeah, of course

Wow, the lightbulb has finally come on - they now realize what a complete fool and security risk he is....too bad that didn't occur before Nov 6th...

spoiler alert: no, he won’t be doing that. 100% certainty.

Who says?

But I do know who WONT have clearances anymore. All your homies in the article.

That was hilarious...please keep the jokes coming...

1 ( +6 / -5 )

I wonder if any previous president has done something like this, at least to this extent and in a manner which makes it incredibly clear that this is something personal.

My suspicion would be that they have not, although I'll happily stand corrected.

Just seems so...childish.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

You just answered your own statement.

lol

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Except sworn testimony.

Which proved to be one Pinocchio after another.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

please keep the jokes coming...

the jokes are the ones who no longer have a security clearance.

And they not coming, they going.

Hey, you're the one that said "of course" to Putin and company getting a clearance...

Next week he'll be handing out clearances - to Putin, Orban, Xi, and Kim...

oh yeah, of course

Or was that another one of your "jokes"?

LMAO...

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Readers, please stop bickering.

Yup no retribution going on here. We all know the foreign assets are inside the Trump administration, though.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

All Donald is up to is looking for revenge.

Not just with Sec. Blinken and Jake Sullivan.

He just can't get over it that he got charged and is now a convicted felon.

(Still wondering how felons can become PotUS!).

He is like an angry, spoiled little 3-year-old-one, besides being a bully!

3 ( +8 / -5 )

(Still wondering how felons can become PotUS!).

He didn’t commit a federal crime, that’s why the Supreme Court made it clear he run constitutionally.

He is like an angry, spoiled little 3-year-old-one, besides being a bully.

“Bully” because I want to know what happened to my hard-earned taxes went? I guess I can live with that.

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

One circus replaces the previous one..

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Well, that’s all in the past now. He’s back so all that’s now in the past

Sure, if you think it's fine for a convicted fraudster and sexual assaulter to be President, with a criminal record that would preclude him from flipping burgers at Wendy's.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

he didn’t. He had a clearance still in Dec 2024

Ok fair enough....I hope President Musk knows what he's doing. Let's hope Chief Executive Musk makes the right decisions.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

It's all too late now that Biden & Garland let the orange genie out of the bottle (jail). The humiliation of losing his security clearance is just a fraction of the karma Biden richly deserves for his mishandling of the justice system that dumped Trump on America and the world.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

I distinctly remember when Biden won, liberals told us to deal with it regardless of what was said about Biden, well, now it’s flip mode time.

Biden has no criminal convictions, trump does.
