Roy Cohn Jr. resigns. News item.

I shed few tears for Bill Barr. While in the end he finally did find his decency and remembered his vow to uphold the Constitution, his years of being Trump's lapdog removes any pity I might have for the man.

So good job Bill. At the end at least you remembered to do your job and upheld the law.

At least you're better than that disgrace to my alma mater, Mike Pompeo.

Aw man, that sucks for him to lose a secure gig that he would have had lined up for another four weeks like that.

Barr has been a full-on Trump supporter, complicit in the messes Trump's leaving behind. He's other who's further undermined the democratic principles the republic's built on. He was responsible for having peaceful protestors violently attacked by 'security' forces. Barr's Trump stank will follow him wherever he goes. Just another rat deserting.

Even the most loyal to Trump are jumping ship. Barr may have done the most damage to our country as a Trump lackey.

Certainly a good day for us and democracy!

Poor Jeff Rosen. Being labeled “an outstanding person” by the current President is the kiss of death.

Jeff Rosen will be fired soon as well. Trump's lies are too much to be believed.

Poor Jeff Rosen. Being labeled “an outstanding person” by the current President is the kiss of death.

Well it was a French kiss then. He's cut from the same cloth as William Barr. He interfered with the Paul Manafort case. He had previously opposed EPA plans to regulate greenhouse gases as staff counsel for OMB circa 2006.

Another one jumps ship, but he left it too late:

"History is written by the winners", the unoriginal quip uttered by Trump's smirking toady, might well come back to bite him one day next year if Biden's AG determines that Barr's blatantly loyal service to "Felonious Trump" requires an investigation of the investigator himself who, in any case, will surely go down in history as America's worst AGUS to its worst president.

“As discussed, I will spend the next week wrapping up a few remaining matters important to the Administration and depart....”

Even Trump's most loyal supporters can't stand this level of kookiness...and are fleeing the Trump Crazy Train as it careens off the rails...

Will Pence, Pompeo or Meadows be next? Or maybe Melania?

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Maybe Trump is smarter than we all are thinking...

Maybe he asked Barr to resign to become his personal attorney? I mean, he was essentially acting like that as AG...

Crazy Rudy has a 1 - 62 win/loss record...and likes to have press conferences next to adult bookstores...

Trump would be smart to make a change...

Wolfpack: Don’t need Biden’s wingman covering for Hunters tax avoidance and money laundering schemes.

Well that would look a bit odd when Trump and his family are currently being investigated for tax fraud. You'd have to justify an investigation into Biden's son (not Biden) and not one that actually involves the President.

Along with Durhams investigations and more expected prosecutions for FBI corruption

We've heard this multiple times in multiple "investigations into investigations." Remember Benghazi? Clinton's email server? The Comey investigation? The results were nothing like the Right alleged.

As for "more expected prosecutions," I guess I'll just have to take your word on it (see above). So far you have one person plead guilty. Recommended sentence? Zero to 6 months. That's if he doesn't get just probation. Great job on uncovering these criminal masterminds.

Couldn't stick it out the last month, eh? Too much egg on the face it would seem. Won't miss him.

Water boy spilled some water. Just too much water to carry.

Seen who the next one is? Same same.

Trump releases Barr resignation letter the moment Biden/Harris crossed the EC 270 line in an attempt to divert the media attention away from his great loss and defeat and onto Barr.

Trump fails again

Not fail, for one thing, he and Barr are friends, Barr will move on and Trump will regroup, the only thing you can do, especially knowing what’s coming 2024 should be a much better, more aware and a breeze for Trump to re-enter the game in 4 years especially if you have his VP jump in the front seat of the Presidency.

Barr has been a full-on Trump supporter,

Which is NOT a crime, Holder was an Obama supporter.

complicit in the messes Trump's leaving behind. He's other who's further undermined the democratic principles the republic's built on.

Not at all, they just believe like half the country, the US should remain a free nation where it’s citizens have to right to live free, liberty and happiness without the government telling them how to live or how to think.

He was responsible for having peaceful protestors violently attacked by 'security' forces.

No, the peaceful protesters were never attacked, the rioters, Antifa and BLM were the ones giving the legitimate protesters a bad name and they were the ones clashing with the police, so Barr was definitely doing his job in putting out that political subversion.

Barr's Trump stank will follow him wherever he goes. Just another rat deserting

What on earth are you talking about, the man is decent, he did what he could, that’s all you can do, there will be other battles, it’s not even remotely close to being over. Just move on and prepare for the next battle.

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

Not fail, for one thing, he and Barr are friends

Sure they are, just like Trump and his previous AG Jeff Sessions...

Barr will move on

Barr will break out the JD and commiserate on how stupid he was to come back and work for Trump

and Trump will regroup

He better, and start packing for his trip to Rikers Island...

the only thing you can do

For sure, especially when you're facing multiple indictments...
