"Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton is a “nasty, mean enabler” and calls liberal Sen. Elizabeth Warren a “goofus,” lashing out at leading Democrats while hardly sparing Republicans bigwigs repulsed by his chokehold on their party’s presidential nomination."

Trump keeps proving himself nothing more than an angry adolescent loser. The Gameshow candidate. Very fitting the high school drop demographic of his racist followers.

Very simple folks, Trump is 4-F (Unfit for Service).

"Trump assured the thousands gathered that “we’re going to be a unified party.”" - article

A unified Party of racists is all Trump has at this point.

Trump acts the fool so often his behavior seems that of a pathological liar.

Unified in stupidity, Trump's bigots and wife beaters don't care Trump is under indictment for a $40 million dollar fraud from his "Trump University" scam.

Unified is the picture of a serial liar's violation of Federal law and the laws of New York. (read on, there's a citation at the end)

While claiming his messiah complex is real, (In 2004 Trump famously chased Disabled Veterans from their licensed subsistence work as street vendors on Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Towers. Trump could care less that they served their country in a time of war and documented his hate in a letter to Mayor Bloomberg.)

Trump pocketed funds he didn't rightly deserve from 9/11 resulting in two real world conditions still pending: charges from felony violations and confirmation of pathological lying.

Trump's ignorance and contempt for Americans is documented, the evidence is hidden in his 2006 IRS filings. When they come to light, 'The Donald' will have a date with the New York Court System, not the November Election.

Reading the sourced copy below leaves no doubt Trump isn't a Messiah but cheap crook who detests Americans, Veterans, Women and Mexicans.

"Trump also remains that rare soul who made money off the 9/11 attacks. He gave little if any of his own money in the aftermath when the whole world was offering to help, but he accepted $150,000 to offset supposed business losses at his building several blocks from Ground Zero."

"Only his 2006 tax return will show if Trump is a felon or a liar."

"Only all his tax returns—which the IRS says he has no reason not to release despite his talk about audits —will tell the full story of The Art of the Hustle."

He is really trying hard to make Democrats ladies win the next dozen of elections. In case, he'd fail and accidentally became Da Prez, he could get along Kim Jong Un. They'd exchange hairstyle tips.

"Ryan said his meeting with Trump . . . Discussions will center on “the kind of Republican principles and ideas that can win the support of the American people this November,” Ryan said." - article

Ryan is meeting with the bigot to decide how far in racial and religious hatred the GOP/Tea is willing to go to betray the United States Constitution.

Most likely, the GOP/Tea are setting themselves up as defenders of racism.

Interesting tactic in a National Election. That's more of a Jim Crow thing, isn't it?

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Trump said he had “no idea” if he and Ryan would patch things up.

That's an inspiring thought for the Republican faithful, isn't it.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

It's clear that Paul Ryan is steering clear of Trump so that, in the event of the Trumplosion (yes, I did just make that up - not bad for a Sunday morning), his position as party leader will solidify. Seems the Trumpians have cognized this and are gunning for him:

The sharpest words, however, came from Trump’s spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson. Not only did she say it’s incumbent upon Ryan to be the one bringing unity to the party, she suggested Ryan may be ill-suited for his current job.

How far is Trump willing to bring it on? If pushed, Ryan may turn from negative-neutral to antagonistic. In that case, will Trump create some sort of "nasty" name for him and fire up the Tweet bucket in an attempt to spark a coup d'etat? It's not unthinkable.

Also not unthinkable is that the Trumplosion could occur even before the GOP convention in July, with an oit-of-control Trump and full internecine chaos. Remember, Ryan is supposed to chair the conference. Is it possible the whole thing could be canceled?. My oh my, this is a fine pickle the Republicans have gotten themselves into.

"Shovelful by shovelful, Trump digs his own grave"

I dunno, considering he doesn't even have the support of the Republican Party "leadership," he's been doing pretty well.

One thing you have to give Trump - he doesn't hesitate to criticize anyone in either of our screwed up major political parties.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

That's more of a Jim Crow thing, isn't it?

Jim Crow Laws were enacted by Democratic party controlled state governments with the expressed goal of relegating black Americans to lower class status and driving the Republican Party out of the southern states. State and local police enforced the laws and when that was deemed insufficient the para-military wing of the Democratic party, the KKK, took over to intimidate and/or kill party opponents. And they killed thousands of people right up through the 1960s.

So no, having the republican leadership get together to discuss strategy isn't really a Jim Crow thing. If it was the Democrats getting together it might be a different story.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

One thing you have to give Trump - he doesn't hesitate to criticize anyone in either of our screwed up major political parties.

That depends on your definition of "criticism." Flinging semicoherent insults doesn't really qualify, it only highlights what any person with an IQ over 80 can easily comprehend, which is that Trump is a shamelessly obnoxious buffoon who realizes the media will report anything he says or does to get people's attention.

If mental capacity is evident in the pattern and content of an individual's form of expression, Donald J. Trump shouldn't be running for village idiot, he should be interviewed for admission to Bellevue Hospital Center Psychiatry Inpatient Services for evaluation of a stroke.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

I dunno, considering he doesn't even have the support of the Republican Party "leadership," he's been doing pretty well.

True - but that speaks much more about GOP "leadership" than it does about Trump. It's akin to asking, "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

2 ( +4 / -2 )

People assume Trump is following some ground-breaking low road when he is only tearing a page out of the democrats playbook. They set their party's cultural and behavioral norms by making national politics a street fight and they're getting a street-fighter in Donald Trump.

If you look only at the surface of this political season, you are failing to notice what's below the surface -anger, disgust, rejection of the status quo-you don't seem to understand that people feel culturally and politically threatened, and Trump is the closest analog to this frustration. That's why they are ignoring his behavior, because he is viewed as one of them. If you don't understand that, then you are missing so much, and will never understand what or how this could be happening.

These statements are interpretation. Donald J. Trump's "street fight" was promoted with racial, religious and gender prejudice built on five years of his racism from the Trump/FOXNews "birther campaign".

Anger isn't a mandate, it is a mental state. Trump's supporters are certainly "mental". Somehow, his klan found no friends in the Republican controled House of Representatives and millions of hours of broadcast and internet communication to their Legislators? This is the fantasy victimhood the GOP/Tea loves and it is a lie.

SerranoMAY. 08, 2016 - 09:13AM JST One thing you have to give Trump - he doesn't hesitate to criticize anyone in either of our screwed up major political parties.

You say that like it's a good thing.

Trump's failing (and to a degree the failing of the GOP as a whole) is that he attacks people not policies. If something doesn't work in America, it's because the person responsible is a "loser", not because the policies they follow or the system they operate in is dysfunctional. It's a childish view of the world that is very emotionally satisfying to the people who engage in it, but it doesn't lead to effective improvement in our government. If all you do is blame people for our systems, then all you can ever do is change the person sitting at the desk where the system takes place- you don't have the mental wherewithal to actually address the failings of the system.

Regardless of if you support their policies, that's what makes people like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren polar opposites to Trump. They target systems for criticism. Implement a good government policy, and it doesn't matter if the person sitting at the desk is an "inside-the-beltway" "loser" or "good people", they have to follow the policy and good governance will happen.

Insulting Hillary Clinton for her marriage doesn't address any of the problems within the Democratic Party. I'm sure it feels good to the people who just want to see doodie flung at the other team, but for the adults in the room who want to get stuff done it's nothing but a waste of time.

Somehow, his klan found no friends in the Republican controled House of Representatives and millions of hours of broadcast and internet communication to their Legislators? Trump as well as every American have the complete right to be angry, at both parties, the cowardly GOP and the the lying DNC. it's been a tough 7 plus agonizing years of dealing with a Tyrant that was bent on changing the country into a dependent socialist state and now that the curtain is about to come to a close on his totalitarian reign, Dems and libs are in a panic that for the first time in years, that government check will slowly come to an end. The bureaucracy and institutionalized racism that the Left has perpetuated and subjected the people to is a testament to fact that Liberals ONLY care about one thing and that's staying in power regardless of how much damage they can cause, as long as they can drive a political wedge and use the racist card to their advantage, all bets are off and banking on the fears of the American people, taking them for granted and hoping they are ignorant enough to fall for it. Sad and very pathetic.

Trump used his racist birther campaign to juice the bigots and made a safe place for hate at every loyalty rally.

Clearly, some want to hate more than they want real solutions to their victimhood; that would be psychiatric care.

The left is bored with democracy. Just look at the anti-Trump protests and the college campuses. "The ends justify the means." The choice isn't about Republican or democrat. The choice is between democracy or Hillary.

The psychology we should be exploring is why the media pundits are ignoring the biggest historical event of the year, by far.

That is, for the first time since the founding of our country, a person who is being investigated by the federal government which is run by the the person's own party is running for President of the United States.

For the first time since the founding of our country, a person may be elected President who may also be a felon due to national security violations.

These facts make the Trump candidacy small potatoes by comparison.

What does this say about the current state of American culture?

In April, The New York Supreme Court gren lighted prosecution to proceed against Donald J. Trump in a $40 million dollar class-action fraud for Trump's "Trump University".

Stealing from stupid Americans with willfully designed fraud is of no concern to Trump supporters.

But for the liberal ANTI-Trump crowd, the real and true violent racist crowd along with the racist BLM that abhor free speech and would do anything to undermine it and to inflict serious violence on anyone that would stand in their way opposing the institutionalized status quo of Washington racism.

The 50's? America was still great throughout the 80's. Even up till mid-90's.

It's sadder when illegal Mexicans are being issued DMV drivers licenses, when they have no business residing in America in the 1st place.

It's sadder when illegal Mexicans are getting better health care (for free, courtesy of Mr/Mrs. Taxpayer) yet our Veterans who've actually served America are not getting that health care.

It's sadder when the cartels and criminals can come in & do whatever they want. Most of the time, they're not even deported when they're arrested. Look @how corrupt Mexico, as a country, is.

. . . and sum posters say we DO NOT need a wall. Are these people blind?

kcjapanMAY. 08, 2016 - 10:27AM JST Thank you. This is the central leverage Trump believes he can win an election with, the politics of hate.

While I appreciate the support, when someone routinely posts things like, "GOP/Shia-Tea" and in this very thread posted the words, "Trump's supporters are certainly 'mental'. " I don't think they're in a credible position to condemn "the politics of hate". At some point you need to admit that you don't post things like that because you genuinely want to change people's minds and improve the quality of the policies and systems we have in place. You did it because it feels good to hurl an insult at a person you disagree with.

We can criticize the bigotry we see at Trump rallies. We can make rational arguments for how someone turning a blind eye to those specific acts of bigotry while pretending themselves to be oppressed strains credibility. We can point out the fact that Trump has made almost no attempt to explain his positions, and what few attempts he has made have been riddled with self-contradictions, and how Trump supporters taking on faith that somehow despite this he has a plan to actually achieve anything of merit is quite dubious. We can point out that Trump has brazenly lied repeatedly, on everything from the cost and feasibility of his infamous wall to the nature of the Japan/US Armed forces agreement, and ask how it is that anyone could overlook those lies and still support him. We can even, as I admittedly do, call Trump a carnival side-show barker- not to criticize the man but to criticize his approach to gathering support for his political campaign.

But to just blanket call everyone who supports him mental? That's hate.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Why is the so called party of tolerance so intolerant of Trump's hate?

That's what I want to seriously know. Why are liberals so obsessed with a man that just speaks the truth and then gets branded as a bigot when the party of tolerance supports groups like BLM that promote violence and insurrection?

Is a sad sad modern day story that his supporters believe he will build a wall and take them back to 1950s. talk about how brain washed the average Americans are.

Not the 1950's, but a wall and a more strict enforcement of illegals crossing into the US, that's not brainwashing, those are the hard facts and desperately needed.

Why did Reagan coin the use of "Make America Great Again"?

If you lived through the Carter years, you'd know why.

(The phrase Trump stole claiming it as his own.)

That's just politics, ask Hillary, she knows it better, Sanders was complaining at how many lines he stole from her, did that equally bother you as well?

What is the "great again" thing that no one can describe?

Freedom from 7 years of being in limbo and stagnant frustrating financial years. We won't even cover the racial division part.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

There also obsessed and supportive of the anti-Trumpers, who are constantly trying to incite violence at the rallies. They love it when the thugs and illegals vandalize police vehicles and innocent motorists right on national TV. Its like porn to them.

Trump has the right to say whatever, but thugs have NO right to damage city/state/gov property.

The GOP is 89% white, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 40% of Trump supporters think Obama is a Muslim from Kenya. Some posters here openly disparage minorities on a regular basis, even including racial slurs.

I think there's a wide gulf between how Republicans view themselves and who they really are.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

First, many thanks, as poster before, these many comments do more than any single poster could. Brevity is the soul of wit. One by one then . . . seriously, many thanks. (italic is the comment, quote is reply)

It means the simple stuff like; Saying "merry christmas" in December without offending anyone;

Your point is more detailed, however, no one need feel anyway diminished by expressing the 'meaning of the season', if "they" get angry at Merry Christmas? That's them not you. Merry Christmas!

you don't post things like that because you genuinely want to change people's minds

Quick point on the sh-tea thing, JT asked, and sh-tea was never repeated. The meaning is clear enough, it pairs religious separatism with a political movement. Unremarkable in its use and creation. To your point, however, changing people's minds is their own responsibility. When the student is ready, the teacher will arrive. That role isn't the purpose of comments. As a note, JT has insisted on ramping back "personal attack", respected and sometimes violated. Oops, sarcasm is brutal task master, guilty as charged.

Trump's hate? - Why are liberals so obsessed with a man (Trump) that just speaks the truth

Donald J. Trump hasn't spoken the truth on any matter since 2011. Pretending Trump is truth? No, Trump is hate.

you really think he will build a wall, I mean, really?

Donald J. Trump hasn't spoken the truth on any matter since 2011.

We still have to try to do something. - I'd rather see a beefed-up Border Patrol and stricter penalties.

And inspections of major American Corporations using non-resident labor, not paying legal wages, not paying taxes on those wages, systematically not hiring Americans because the cheap undocumented labor desperate for work to feed their children is too easy to exploit. It is a grab bag, amusing sarcasm isn't doing any of those things, hence, these posts are not changing "the world" only providing tiny snap shots of ideas.

Then Trump burst onto the scene and started insulting people. - And rightfully so

Trump has the right to insult, denigrate, shame, mock and promote racial, religious and gender prejudice? He may have the right, but no one is obligated to respect a national figure for promoting hate.

Again, discipline, in these comments have firewalled direct personal address.

Comments are quoted and marked for source not individual contributor identity.

If the idea and reply are about the idea itself, no personal attack exists.

Again, these posts are so much more valuable because the mosaic reveals all potentials and some specific failings.

Some of those ideas need a sharp few words, not the intent to eliminate the contributor's perspective.

Thanks again, in all seriousness, and as JT posted, political seasons are a nuclear generator when the control rods need to be kept in place to maintain a warm interaction, not a pool of boiling anger.

Everyone here gets that.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Why did the Republicans spend $8 million on 60,000 attack ads targeting Trump?

"And now so many of those voters admit that they made a mistake, I work with a lot of them."

I think I'll stick with the opinion polls which show the US people do not seem to see Obama as an incompetent tyrant. I also work with and speak to American people who have different views of Obama. The most common reaction is he's better than the alternatives - barking mad GOP bobble-heads lobbing childish insults, cracking knob jokes, rabble-rousing and screaming insanities like Obama declaring martial law. This of course cannot be seen as a fair view of the GOP given the small number of people I'm talking about.

I think the opinion polls are the best guides we have, don't you?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

"I think I'll stick with the opinion polls which show the US people do not seem to see Obama as an incompetent tyrant."

"I'll stick with the people that do think so and you see it when you go to ANY Trump or even a Sanders rally, complete repudiation on Obama and his minions as well as Clinton."

Very non-partisan of you. Ignore what the opinion polls say and stick with people who share your hatred of Obama.

Using your standards, Trump has been portrayed as a clown, a bigot, a racist, a liar, a spoiled child and many other things by other candidates, Republican and Democrat. Is that a fair reflection of the man in your view? This GOP campaign has been ridiculously childish and moronic in its name-calling and vitriol. Speeches by candidates winding up their loyal supporters are hardly reflective of public opinion as a whole.

By the way, you do know that calling Bush a chimp was a cruel caricature, don't you? The people who did this didn't actually believe he was a chimpanzee. The GOP nutters who think Obama is a Kenyan Muslim actually believe this. There is another not insignificant group who think Obama is actually the anti-Christ.

You do see the difference between cruel name-calling and sprinting down the street naked roaring insanities, don't you?

2015-2016, Trump, three times on live television, refused to condemn David Duke, Holocaust Denier, White Supremist, Grand Wizard of the KKK.

When asked his responce to David Duke urging his followers 'that a vote for anyone except Trump was a betrayal to white heritage', Trump suddenly didn't know what racism was or who the Duke person was.

Trump's refusals are promotion of racism by pretending ignorance of racism.

Obviously, some argue Trump's refusal to condemn racism isn't racism.

It is worst then, it is either cowardice in the face of racism or the self serving use of racism to win votes to satisfy a narcissism of criminal nature that answers to no one.

Which, or if both of these are Trump, it is Trump who on multiple occasions refused to condemn the White Supremacists and Holocaust Deniers of David Duke.

"What proof over the 50 years of Trump as an adult does he show racism? With the thousands he has employed, how many racial lawsuits have taken place? Yet he's a racist?, no! It's simply the lefts hateful, slanderous talking points looking for anything to bring him down. PATHETIC!"

You seem to be under the bizarre impression that only the left are capable of hate. Your posts repeat this complaint.

Obama has been labelled a terrorist, a terrorist sympathizer, a Muslim/atheist ( I never could work out which one the right regards as worse ) and my personal favourite - the anti-Christ. I could go on here.

You do have to admit that Trump does seem to attract more racists to his cause than others. You should ask yourself why this is.

"Trump will be Armageddon, since he is causing a weakening of previously strong positions in the House and Senate races." - comments

Trump's impact on the Republican Party associates all Republican Candidates with a perpetual contempt for everyone except his own selfish desires and a commitment take no responsibility for any statement or action.

The GOP/Tea has their perfect representative who epitomizes all the moral and ethical principles Republicans have fought for for thirty years. A true victory for all Republicans.

Americans? Not so much.

Bill Clinton... the worst abuser of women in the history of politics.

I just have no idea how someone could think that is a true statement. I mean, politics is the second oldest profession, closely related to the first. Would someone have to go back to Nero's Rome to find someone "worse"? One could. But just objectively, lurid tales come out of Washington constantly of various politicians and their philandering. I don't know how someone could measure abuse, but surely the Lewinsky thing was not the biggest deal ever.

And you know, this is one of the things I don't like about Trump. Just listening to the guy gives me a headache. He does not "tell it like it is." He "tells people what they want to hear." So you kind of have to be on board his bandwagon to swallow all of the whoppers he tosses out there. You can get really excited by his cadence and his confidence, but if you can imagine him in clown makeup, you are just as likely to laugh out loud at the silly pomposity and the tall tales.

I repeat with every post on him the following: Don't miss this chance to look around you and see who is a Trump devotee. You will never get a better chance than this to spot the most gullible and misguided people around you. These are people who truly believe that the best leader is someone with no experience whatsoever. They believe that the best plans to follow are the wholly unrealistic ones. They can be flustered and angry enough to agree with any old thing. They have "studied it out" and are unable to get to the truth on their own, or with assistance. They can be conned. And they believe Trump is sincere.

I have read all of his books, and I can tell you... he sets em up and knocks him down, and he will play these voters just like he plays his business deals. Once he gets what he wants, he is done with you.

“She’s married to a man who was the worst abuser of women in the history of politics,” Trump said of Clinton

Just a point of information to clarify - Bill Clinton, though certainly no one I would ever recommend any women get involved with, was never convicted of any crime involving women. Even the charges of his impeachment had nothing to do with so-called abuse of women (one count of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice), and he was acquitted in those impeachment proceedings and served out his term to completion. So however sleazy he might be, there is zero evidence he actually "abused" any women.

However, every Republican Speaker of the House who oversaw the impeachment of Bill Clinton has now been found to be a part of a sex scandal. So, "worst abuser of women?" Hardly.

A few months ago, both Trump and Hillary was top. With most disliked candidate by women Now others gone and Trump began talking about Bill and Monica. Then Clinton is no longer most disliked.

Bill Clinton was "Impeached" and later acquitted.

Trump is receiving criticism, too, from within his own party as some high-profile Republicans say they won’t vote for him even though he has all but secured the nomination. Asked about his ability to unify the GOP, Trump is repeating his view that he doesn’t think it has to be unified and that he will gain Democratic votes to win in the fall.

I find it amazing that the press is really concerned when people like the Bush's and Romney and other Republican figures say that they will not support Trump, while when these very same people were in office they were calling for the "moderate" Republicans to not support them or get them to move to the center.

As far as those who say that they don't support Trump, or will not vote for Hillary, this just shows that the system is rigged, and that they are only there for their personal gain. If they can't be the "deal makers" then they don't want to play, is not really going to do something to help the average American, whether Republican or Democrat.

I think that the Trump campaign, as well as Sanders have shown that the game of two care Monte between both parties needs to change.

Here, the reader has an opportunity to better understand the tactic of the Trump supporter.

Currently, President William Jefferson Clinton is the hand puppet of hate. (The commenter provides the bones under the really super scary story Trumpers tell.)

In brief, shaking a hate rag doll is so ultimately a beautiful description of Donald J. Trump, it needs telling as a cartoon.

Cartooned Donald shakes a voo-doo Clinton and his beaucoup not too slobber some blubbering repetition ad nausea of limp pseudo clever.

The fascinating thing?

How far, how deep and how long does buffoon in chief go before . . . a blubbering stroke victim hovers over the greatest nuclear armament and influential economic system in the world?

Bill Clinton's marital fidelity, grievous though it was, reflects well on Hillary, because she stood by her man, and worked it through.

More like stood by her business partner, or partner in crime from what I'm reading about their foundation.

Trump forgot. No matter what Bill did he was popular with women. He can't compete himself with Bill.
