In an interview with The Associated Press Monday, Wray acknowledged the report had identified significant problems with how agents conducted the investigation into ties between Russia and his 2016 campaign and pledged to make changes. But Wray also characterized as ïmportant" that Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the Russia investigation was opened for a proper cause and was not affected by political bias.

What Wray has made clear is that the FBI can investigate anyone, at any time, for any reason, and drag that investigation out for as long as the FBI deems necessary.

Wray struck a similar balance in his comments on Monday, seizing on findings from the inspector general favorable to the FBI while also making a point to highlight the significant problems that it found. Those issues, Wray told AP, were “unacceptable and unrepresentative of who we are as an institution."

Wray told AP that the FBI would change how it handles confidential informants, how it applies for warrants from the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, how it conducts briefings on foreign influence for presidential nominees and how it structures sensitive investigations like the 2016 Russia probe. He said he has also reinstated ethics training. In total, the FBI is implementing more than 40 changes, he said.

OTOH, there seems to be at least 17 incidents of individual efforts to undermine the results of the 2016 Presidential election. 17 incidents which Wray promises to use to somehow prevent politically-biased individual agents from using their government positions to fraudulently harass unsuspecting political opponents.

Keep chasing your tail! Good squirrel.

Not in that State or Department or division. Smart.

FBI standards pretty much so.

You forgot that you’ve told us it’s your relative in the FBI, not you.

One of your posts contains 17 clerical errors.

FBI standards pretty much so.

Riiiiiiiight. No political bias here!

Don't you just love it when Trumpers disparage their own team members...

Here, they trash a Bush appointed guy who served in the DOJ for three years under Trump - and who Sessions or Barr could have replaced at any time if they didn't want him...

Then during the Impeachment hearings, they call Amb Volker who says clearly that Joe Biden is "honorable" and that the Hunter Ukraine smear is "not credible"...

Kind'a like Mueller - a life-long Republican who was also appointed by a Republican President...

And I'm reminded of one Trumper here who said Sondland was a hero - and then changed that to scum within 24 hours after his testimony...

The Republican Party - a serial firing squad...

there was 400 plus pages of wrong doing. Those 17 things will be matched to the people responsible by Durham. Then we will see how many of those are crimes.

You guys sound exactly like the Democrats and liberals during Mueller’s two year and one month - Trumpophiles have been throwing around the three-year lie - investigation.

I wouldn’t worry, Durham and Barr are taking a deeper look into it it has more authority to investigate into question and to also write and bring about recommendation on charges, so his report should come up around next year, so I wouldn’t worry about it. What are the FBI witnesses going to say to Horowitz yeah, we lied? It’s obvious that they lied give me the fact that they were 17 clerical errors? So what do you call that? That constitutes as a lie because these errors were purposely done, so this is not anywhere near over.

No because we know the IG has no subpoena power, can’t compel testimony and can only talk to current employees. All the criminals quit long ago.

Then why have you been screaming for months about how the IG report would exonerate the president and confirm every one of your suspicions?

Now you're telling us that the IG couldn't even do his job?

Hmm, quite the flip you've just flopped.

First time anyone on your team ever did that! hahaha

No because we know the IG has no subpoena power, can’t compel testimony and can only talk to current employees. All the criminals quit long ago.

now that the IG has identified potential crimes, those go to the prosecutor.

No bias? Report just said no one told IG they were biased and no one wrote down “i am biased”. IG said it’s not his place to speculate why people made the Anti-Trump “mistakes” they made.

@serranoRiiiiiiiight. No political bias here!

A claim to be expected from those who've echoed the slogans of the Internet Research Agency and believed the Kremlin's reports but not the reports of the US and 'western' intelligence agencies.

Riiiiiiiight. No political bias here!

But you told us the IG report would say there was political bias, and now it explicitly says there wasn't.

Oh my.

there was 400 plus pages of wrong doing.

Haha, just like the Mueller report had 400 pages of wrong-doing, right brother!

Haha

We all know that the "400 plus pages of wrong doing" are just fake news by the right-wing deep-state fake news MSM establishment RINOs, and that there wasn't actually wrong doing.

Same as the Mueller report was most definitely not filled with actual reports of wrong doing, it was just fake. Right?

Lol No he won't, this is the exact same you Trumpies said about the IG report. When will Trumpies learn that Donny is just a big fat liar?

You guys are confusing people not being held accountable and there being no consequences for their actions (yet) as “no wrongdoing”

there was 400 plus pages of wrong doing. Those 17 things will be matched to the people responsible by Durham. Then we will see how many of those are crimes.

This whole process has shown us that the GOP is anti-american, anti-religion, anti-law enforcement, pro-corruption.

Good to know going forward.

Thank moscow mitch you traitor.

Trump would have no idea what report Wray read and was commenting on because there is no way I'll believe Trump read a 434-page document.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the Russia investigation was opened for a proper cause and was not affected by political bias.

Trump and his followers will continue to believe the Kremlin's reports instead. And continue to accept and permit further Russian 'meddling' in US politics as long as the meddling keeps right wing politicians like Trump, McConnell, Rubio, Cruz, Kennedy and others who've received campaign donations from 'foreign' oligarchs in office.

Trump and his enablers will continue to more firmly establish their reign enabling the elite (so called) members of the establishment (including global banking and finance mavens, big oil and big defense) to get even richer and more powerful in their ongoing attempts to undermine the principles the republic was founded on and create an even more authoritarian system for their benefit.

“I don't know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasn't the one given to me," Trump tweeted.

Wray actually read the report, unlike you who simply tried to find pictures to look at.

Trumpophiles will be here shortly to unjustly claim the upper echelons of the FBI are corrupt. Never mind these same people were assuring us this report would lead to indictments.

Trumpophiles will also be screeching about how Durham’s report will lead to indictments despite Durham not being mentioned once in this article.
