https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofqyJ_udrQQ ( My video on why I fear Donald Trump ) I do not live in the USA but I fear Donald Trump would change the USA in a way that is bad for the entire world.. To me he is like a high school bully always pointing fingers at other people. He is fine unless he wants to make you a sacrificial lamb.

Then there is no difference between Trump as President and Kim Jong Un, as they both love to use violent rants to get their way.

But Kim murdered people for no reason, but to consolidate his power and destroy any possible rivals. Nothing similar about them at all.

Trump is like the schoolyard bully who will force you to do what he says and if you don't will call you names and impose physical violence on you until you do.

Obama is that sneaky bully that do stuff behind your back and when you call him out on it will vehemently deny all accusations.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump declares martial law when protesters in America rise up against him.

That should be done if the protesters become belligerent and use violence to get their point across.

Then you'll see the U.S. become as "democratic' as North Korea is.

Now we are drifting into the liberal land of theatrical nonesense.

I'm not, I think people around the world probably can see this guy ain't a punk, so most people will probably tread lightly before doing anything stupid.

his overwhelming Hillary Clinton obsession, haven't you.

No more than the left have with Bush or Trump.

If someone shot her that would also keep her out of the White House. Would that be ok with you too?

Shot, NO. Incarcerated and serving a very long federal prison sentence, you bet!

You're starting to sound like the kind of person who might do that yourself.

But you don't know me, so you can't really say that now...

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

I'm happy with him over a Hillary presidency any day of the week. If Trump is what we need to ensure that this lying habitual liar doesn't get in the White, then he's the guy we need.

Trump really scares me as a potential President as he has no clue, and will be totally scary with a nuclear arsenal at his disposal.

I'm not, I think people around the world probably can see this guy ain't a punk, so most people will probably tread lightly before doing anything stupid.

I still remember last year when he stated that he wouldn't be afraid to use nuclear weapons, and yet, didn't understand what the term 'nuclear triad' meant.

So what? Obama couldn't even say Marine Corps. instead he said, corpse. Anyone can learn. We had so many politicians that knew supposedly everything and did nothing. Now we have a guy that admits he's not a politician, but is willing to learn. Give the guy some slack. Remember, you don't become a multi-billionaire because you're stupid.

When he was asked which leg of the triad was his top priority, Trump responded by saying that "nuclear, the power, the devastation is most important". WTF?

Yeah, and Obama said that taking in Syrian refugees will keep us safer. I never could understand that rationale thinking. How so? That was also a WTF moment.

And let's not forget that although he said that he would use the nuclear weapons at his disposal, he also stated that those said weapons are old and ineffective.

Obama said ISIS was defeated and a JV team and told Romney that we didn't have to fear Russia in a nutshell. So much for that. Look, Trump talks a lot, we all know that, but so does Obama, so I don't get why you guys dog pile on him, but give Obama a pass. At least Trump doesn't need a teleprompter when he talks...EVER.

Plus, who would follow such a person who has to resort to name-calling, as in calling undocumented immigrants 'rapists', and issue unwarranted threats, such as threatening to kill all relatives of ISIS terrorists because he claims they should "know what's going on with their relatives".

Yeah, I think he should tone it a notch down on the rhetoric, but Obama does the exact same BS talking, with a little more with grace and decorum, but his insults and pot shots are equally as offensive. Besides, if Trump can strike fear and terror in the hearts of fanatic jihadists like ISIS, good on him.

I also don't trust Trump because he makes his campaign about making America great again, but has no concrete policies or plans to accomplish such a feat.

Obama had plans and he ruined the country. So what's the difference between Obama having plans for the country and leaving the country soon with more debt, racial division a shattered middle class and a nation burden with over taxation, why not give the guy a chance? He's created jobs before, Obama destroyed jobs, not talking about the paper hat jobs that require an answer to "Would you like fries with that?"

At least other candidates make an attempt to create policies (even if some of them are terrible). With Trump, all you have is powerful slogans and "rah rah" speeches.

I understand, but Hillary does the same, talks about policies, never did anything for her state when she was Senator and even secretary of state. These politicians on both sides talk from the side of their mouths, they talk about policy, change and never, ever get anything done, at least not when it comes to what the people want, but they will make sure to pass their own personal agendas.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Go Trump!!!

The republican, naaa, the WHOLE establishment are chewing off their manicured fingernails on how to re-brainwash the US citizens who have decided to roll the dice with Trump rather than keep playing the Central Bankers game. Even former democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb says he's not gonna vote for Clinton. She will lose, and lose BIG. Any one who doesn't see this have their heads in the sand.

Romney/McCain are a joke and have always been tools just like back in 2008 and 2012 when they followed orders and handed the White House to Obama.

There’s no question about the type of president Hillary Clinton will be. She will coddle Wall Street (and bail them out again if necessary), while pushing a neocon foreign policy abroad. It’s not an exaggeration to say that a vote for Hillary means a vote for oligarchy at home and murder abroad. This is merely an inconvenient truth the Democratic establishment wishes to pretend doesn’t exist.

"Me, I look at policies (or, in Trump's case, their counterpart scrawled on a restaurant kids menu with waxy crayons). Taxes? - Same GOP line: lots for the rich to be paid for by slashing middle-class services. Health care? - Same GOP line: "We've got emergency rooms!" Minimum wage? - "Our wages are too high!" is his starting point. The environment? - He wants to abolish the EPA. Ad nausea. Seriously, can any Trump supporter here point me to a Trump policy that differs significantly from what Rubio and Cruz have proposed?"

Yes, I can point to a few Trump policies that are different from the GOP, which is why the GOP doesn't like him. Do some independent research and stop barking with the other dogs; it's one thing to repeat soundbites but another thing to think in soundbites.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

The media and the political establishment cannot control Donald Trump, and therefore fear him. He reflects the anger and the frustration borne of the ineptitude, hypocrisy and lack of connectivity that the political calculus of Washington has created, fostered, and perpetuated.

Hee hee. I love this stuff - really. Did you promise you a unicorn with rainbow flatulence too?

If you like the GOP party line, sure, go ahead and vote for Trump - you'll also get a bonus flavor of Fascism. If you expect anything remarkably different from any other Repub, though, except for style, you'll be disappointed.

Someone please explain that basfunk stuff that clogs these strings.

I perform quite a bit and I change my string sets twice a month, so don't worry.

Kidding, give them enough rope . . . the reality of the Trump movement.

I think you libs need to wake up.

"What exactly was Trump's position on that 'liberation' of the Iraqis/catastrophic bloodbath based on lies?"

Doesn't really matter anymore at this point and time, what difference does it make?

I was talking about how Trump used the catastrophic bloodbath based on lies view of the Iraq War to mercilessly savage Jeb. Do try to keep up.

It's so very hard with the liberal rant polluting the blogosphere.

Incidentally, you must have been absolutely furious with Trump for bringing this up.

No, because I never saw Trump as a true conservative, judging by that rant.

Bloody Europeans and liberals, eh? Just hypocrites.

You said it, not me.

Why is this commenter criticizing Trump? Trump has no need of learning or advisors.

Obama saw no need for it either.

Trump demands torture, Trump get torture.

For any terrorist trying to harm Americans or cause carnage, he should.

Trump demand religious prejudice for ID branding of Muslim faith, Trump get ID branding.

Now there you go again with the exaggerations.....

It is so exhausting to ask for every little detail about Trump's dictatorship.

We asked a lot from Obama and all we got was racism, debt and hate.

Trump want expel largest population ever expelled from a nation, eleven million Mexicans, exceeding Stalin, Trump get expulsion.

Bernie wants to turn the country into one giant socialist Scandinavia, believing in the way of Karl Marx.

Trump want banding Muslim faith, Trump get branding. (The forearm with a number series is always vogue, especially for children and "their dirty, dirty people." Mr. Trump's Holocaust Deniers endorsement will show how branding is done old school.)

And your proof of that is.....

Mr. waters want Trump, Mr. waters get Trump. Big wall poster, $25 dollar, Mr. waters buy poster, put on Mr. water wall.

Love Trump. Want dictator tell Mr. water what think. Mr. water happy, Trump tell water think hate.

The media and the political establishment cannot control Donald Trump, and therefore fear him. He reflects the anger and the frustration borne of the ineptitude, hypocrisy and lack of connectivity that the political calculus of Washington has created, fostered, and perpetuated. He's a loose cannon, no doubt, but both Bush and Obama have been disastrous and Clinton 2.0 would only add another layer of sediment to a nation that is floundering and on the downslope of its better days.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

@SimonFoston. If Trump goes back on his promise--which I don't think he will because he is not owned like Hillary, etc.---how would that be different from any other politician in the last 50 years?

Deflection, deflection, and more deflection.

"Flexible" means Trump is giving himself the leeway not to do what he says he's going to do.

So who knows what people will believe if he's actually going to do what he's saying or not.

Trump responded to such concerns in a statement Friday, saying that he understands that the U.S. is “bound by laws and treaties” and he will not order U.S. military officials to violate or disobey those laws if elected president.

But Trump already said he's going to violate some of the trade agreements that the US is bound by, so who knows what's going to keep him from violating these bound laws and treaties

"All the mud throwing aside. I think everyone commenting on her would love to see a Hillary Clinton trump debate. TV's golden moment."

I'd actually love to see Sanders v Trump. Sanders would be better at actually forcing him to debate things like policy instead of allowing him to talk about his knob. A Clinton v Trump showdown would very probably more ad hominem atracks given the baggage they carry.

bass4funkMAR. 05, 2016 - 09:10AM JST No, but if you want to hold Trump in contempt for flip-flopping, then you should do the same and hold Hillary to the same standards.

Ah, you seem to have misunderstood my point. I'm not condemning "flip-flopping". I think it's quite reasonable and quite prudent for a politician to, upon discovering that their previous position was incorrect, to adjust their new position to be better. Trump isn't "flip-flopping", he's having to back-track on things he said because he went from one nuanced point of view to another, he's having to back-track because he shows up at rallies and spouts off whatever nonsense comes to mind without taking the barest moment to think through what the thing he's about to proclaim actually means. He's a showman, not a doer.

Which leads to your second misconception of my point, your frankly odd assumption that this has anything whatsoever to do with Clinton. Perhaps it hasn't occurred to you that not everyone who dislikes Trump must automatically support Clinton?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I think the greatest issues facing the USA are the porous southern border/illegal immigration, the unbalance of trade agreements the US has with other countries (we allow theirs in, they keep ours out), and the outrageous deficit that is exacerbated by military freeloading from Japan, Korea and Nato, etc. Trump will address those better, I believe, than any other candidate.

How can you know that? He keeps wanting to row back on what he's said. I wouldn't be at all surprised if, a few weeks from now, he quietly announced there won't be any wall between the US and Mexico. I just don't trust anything he says.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Immigration was more or less just one of many issues about a year ago, and now it's suddenly "the greatest issue facing the USA." It's also an issue that had bipartisan support to pass legislation.

What changed? The GOP started campaigning.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Bernie is a good man with a good heart but he is a lifelong government employee who doesn't understand that money doesn't spontaneously reproduce itself.

I'd argue that Bernie understands that the health, education, and fair wages of the general public makes for a more wealthy nation. With health, people can work, With education, they can make the next big ideas. With fair wages, they can spend to keep our economy going.

Republicans care about making the rich richer at the expense of the average American, they exploit, they pollute, and they lie just to make more money than any human needs. I laugh at those who call Trump 'anti-establishment' he is the exact definition of the establishment, the type on the RECEIVING end of all the government corruption. He will dish out favors to all his 1% buddies just for the enjoyment of having their noses up his rear.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

That's the spirit, sam! - a refreshing change from at least one American poster here who insists on calling Obama "your president."

All the mud throwing aside. I think everyone commenting on her would love to see a Hillary Clinton trump debate. TV's golden moment.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm true to my school! I think Trump is the best available candidate. Hillary is bought-and-sold. Bernie is a good man with a good heart but he is a lifelong government employee who doesn't understand that money doesn't spontaneously reproduce itself. Cruz and Rubio are professional candidates whom I don't believe have the courage to tackle illegal immigration/amnesty.

Now, if someone else wins how will I react? I will say what the great John Wayne said when JFK defeated Wayne's Richard Nixon. "I didn't vote for him. But he is my president and I hope he does a good job." If one of the others win, then I will say, "I did'nt vote for him (or her) but....." You know the rest.

Looks like some in the GOP are willing to support Trump because he's a Republican, and others in the GOP won't support him because they don't want his image leading their party. The latter is willing to take a White House loss to save the party, for the former, not so much.

Narcissism in its extreme forms is considered a personality disorder. It is defined as a syndrome or combination of characteristics that includes the following: (a) a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, self-importance,and perceived uniqueness; (b) a preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success and power; (c) exhibitionism and attention seeking; (d) emotional reactivity especially to threats to self-esteem; (e) displays of entitlement and the expectation of special treatment from others; and (f) an unwillingness or inability to show empathy.

This description of narcissism sounds so much like Trump, it's frightening.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

"Don't elect a party at war with itself." Excellent advice. Trump is not a party; he an individual and that is why the GOP is terrified of him. There is something fishy going on with the Democrats; Bernie has all the popularity and yet Hillary can barely fill a small conference during most of her rallies. I wonder if deals are being made.

As opposed to the lack of transparency and integrity of the Democratic Party?

Do you think Trump will crack any more knob gags in his quest to become the leader of the world's largest economy with a gigantic army and nuclear weapons?

Last week one of the Gang of Trump was saying the children of Fallujah deserved to die in Bush's war based on forged documents.

That Hillary signed on as well. Heathen!

What a sick representation of the American People.

Both parties suck!

Some demand torture, some laugh at the death of innocent children.

But when the overwhelming sectarian violence claimed thousands and thousands of lives, not a single word from you liberals denouncing the Sunni Shia violence.

then you should do the same and hold Hillary to the same standards.

Bulls#!t. If you and other folks who want to make excuses for Trump's abominable personal character can't recognize the qualitative, moral, and legal difference between Clinton changing her mind on policy and Trump spewing certifiably racist and hate-filled drivel to wind up his supporters, then you no longer deserve to have a voice in this Bass.

If you can still at this point in good conscience equate Hillary and her ridiculous e-mail server to "Mexicans are rapists, Muslims are no longer welcome in America, trade wars are great! and my opponents are {insert playground taunt here}," then your hatred for Clinton is dangerously likely to be a debilitating psychosis in need of profession attention.

Clinton most definitely NOT cut from the same cloth as "I'll say eff-ing ANYTHING to get votes" (that's precisely the tone he adopts) Trump. He's flip flopped on virtually every one of his position that he used to riles up angry, white voters into propelling him to where he is now. What does that make him? A liar and a scam artist, that's what.

That his fans continue to eat his garbage up is astounding! He's the loud-mouthed drunk at the neighborhood bar ranting and raving about how the world would be if he were the boss, and the other drunks sitting around him are downing shots and pushing him ever onward to see just how far he'll go with his rant. The bar staff are just praying to hell no one decides to shut him up because a brawl will likely break out.

The thing is, there's going to be one hell of a hangover the next morning when all is said and done. And you can be sure Trump will look around, shrug his shoulders, and feign amnesia, "What? What'd I do?"

Study the decline of the GOP/TeaParty.

What? The GOP voters have been showing up at the polls in greater numbers than in 2012. The GOP wills always be a major contender in US / world politics and you know it. For better or worse, but no more & no less.

Actually, I like what Hillary said recently, "America never stopped being great. I'm going to make America 'whole' again."

Good. This means the US flags will remain on US universities without any complaining. Kids will once again recite the "pledge of allegiance" every morning. The whole LGBT issue will go back into the closet. Hometown heros (honorably serving in the US military) will cont. to be featured during NFL half-time. And during mid December, Americans can walk around and say "Merry Christmas" without offending anyone.

Study the decline of the GOP/TeaParty.

When the "leader of the free world" is reduced to genital jokes?

The joke is in the hands of the voters.

The Americans know how to pull it out.

Check how they pushed in an AWOL Bush. Twice. (with a little help from a tilted playing field, not unusual.)

Trump that.

A joke with no punchline and nothing to laugh about.

Ladies and Gentlemen . . . The GOP/TeaParty

"flexibility" = the public didn't like it = flip flop flip flop flip flop flip flop flip flop

The only thing I'm convinced Trump won't flip-flop on is the size of his penis. At his age, it might me more flopping than flipping.

Do you think Trump will crack any more knob gags in his quest to become the leader of the world's largest economy with a gigantic army and nuclear weapons?

The GOP's endless mid-life crisis. (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

Emerson's "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" makes sense to me. But if anyone knows what the 'art of the deal'-meister, master of bait switch and all forms of shady business practices Trump actually believes then I think you're already behind the times because he's changed stories since then. Now he's down on torture.

"If it involves terrorists that do a 9/11 attack on the nation, I can tell you for a fact, I would." - comments

Come on now, it's not always about you and your lust for torture. Trump is taking applications. There's going to be aa 'Apprentice' spin off. Variety already had the casting.

Zinger of a deflection. Is your point that Trump is just another establishment politician doing what establishment politicians are disdained for doing?

No, but if you want to hold Trump in contempt for flip-flopping, then you should do the same and hold Hillary to the same standards.

Trump's cool with Torture. Didn't you get the memo?

If it involves terrorists that do a 9/11 attack on the nation, I can tell you for a fact, I would.

As you told us Bass, everyone is allowed to flip-flop. After all, you dismissed Trump supporters as lunatics up until he looked certain to win the GOP nomination. You must admire the 'flexibility' of Trump and Clinton.

Hey, and as I said in that dire situation, I will take the less of the two evils and when it comes to a guy with an ego equivalent to the current president or a habitual liar and another Democrat, then I'll go with the guy with the ego.

So far, Trump has 10 state victories and leads the field with 329 delegates . . .

Only 329 committed to a national policy of racism, religious prejudice and megalomania?

Come ON! GOP ShiaTea! Yer not even try'in to get the Klan back in the saddle. Quitters!

"Flexible" in this case is code for "I have no idea what I'm doing, have no principles, and have no ideas. I will literally say anything to get the job, and I haven't thought one minute past January 20."

"So you must not have noticed Hillary's flip-flopping then."

Racism and Torture are the 2 mainline of Trump campaign, he will certainly not give up. I have seen recently how he "get the hell out of here" manu militari a person only because of nationality, this guy is a living demon, opening his mouth only to shout hate to mexico, china and japan.

Trump can be flexible on issues like torture? What does that even mean? Why does he not give specifics and clairify?

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Flexible on the truth.

77% Fail.

Flexible on what? The man hasn't said anything of substance.

Trump would constitute an "it just occurred to me" presidency. Failed (add noun here) Bobby Jindal noted in the WSJ:

I believe that voters tend to act in open-seat presidential elections to correct for the perceived deficiencies of the incumbent. After seven years of the cool, weak and endlessly nuanced ‘no drama Obama,’ voters are looking for a strong leader who speaks in short, declarative sentences.

In other words, Trump is the nose-breathers' reflexive reaction to the cool consideration of the what is possible and how it can be achieved presidency of Obama. Reminds me of this Blazing Saddles scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHqL7dNujNc

Donald Schmuck.

The middle eat is laughing at us. No Donald they are laughing at you. This idiot ability to carry democracy as a world leader is what people are laughing at. He reminds me of that popular kid in the school playground who have,s everything but lacks social intellect. He show off's his wears and all the kids gather and crowd around not for who he is but for what he has and maybe get a ride on a new bike.

Numbskulls will support him anyway.
