Here's another regulation that's gonna be struck down:

"Internet privacy rules removed by Congress"

https://www.rt.com/usa/382631-congress-vote-internet-privacy/

Internet providers will not be required to ask permission to sell customers' browsing habits, including medical information, shopping habits and even pornography preferences after Congress voted to roll back Obama-era regulations.

The planned protections were proposed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and would have prevented ISPs and broadband providers from selling information, including where customers bank, shop, browse, their political views and even sexual orientation.

Those in favor of eliminating the protection measures have claimed that preventing ISPs from requiring consumer consent for customer information will eliminate competition among providers.

This will make it easier for internet providers to sell your browsing history and track your online habits, delivering a victory for the nation’s telecommunications industry — and a blow to consumer-protection advocates.

The overturning of these rules means that broadband providers --without needing your permission-- could sell your browsing history, target ads specifically to you, and put hidden tracking cookies on your phone. The latter means that a company could track your internet habits even if you are taking precautions against that, such as using a private browsing window.

Good luck to ya guys fighting Big Internet

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Losers with so many sour grapes. Making lots of whine! PRESIDENT TRUMP is well on the way to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. That will take a lot of work rolling back the extreme overreach that your Marxist hero Obama and his disgusting minions impressed upon the good people of America, who having borne the brunt of the weight voted for Trump, giving him 37 States' Electoral wins. Victory for Americans!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Hey whatever happened to Trump's investigation into millions of illegals voting for Hillary, anyway? Are we meant to chalk this up to Trump just saying stupid stuff or was he serious?

This puts things in perspective:

I think he knows a lot about it than you or I, given the fortune he has made for himself over the years.

So you're in agreement that Trump is in it to make a fortune FOR HIMSELF, and only HIMSELF. He is not making decisions for the good of all Americans, but only for HIMSELF. Just because a rich man has made money FOR HIMSELF, doesn't necessarily mean he'll do it for others.

When he was campaigning, he repeatedly whined that Obama spent too much time golfing and Trump then promised that he would stay in the White House and work. Well, lo and behold, here he is having spent more time golfing and away from the White House in the short time he's been in office than Obama had in over a year. Furthermore, Trump continues to milk American's taxpayer's money; much of which goes directly to his Trump Tower and other properties he uses. He also uses his position to give well-paid jobs to all his family members, which directly takes away jobs from others who may be more qualified to handle such jobs.

The fact that his supporters continue to not see through all of his lies upon lies is truly the sad part in all of this. He is a downright con, who is using his position as POTUS to better HIMSELF, while using fake accusations (e.g. wiretapping claims), to distract people from his true sneaky agenda.

Glad to see you agree with the theory that puts Hillary as having received 14 million more votes than Trump!

But it doesn't matter, she's a grandma now, Trump is president and thank God for the system we have in place.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Bingo!

Glad to see you agree with the theory that puts Hillary as having received 14 million more votes than Trump!

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Ok..so Hillary got millions of those illegal votes. That 22 million is well distortion (fake) to the very extreme, the recounts would have anyway corrected the double votes, they did-not, his numbers in-fact slightly increased. Even trump haters do-not sign-up to this double vote..but for the other variant anything and everything against trump is fair game.

Bingo!

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

In America, ultimately, greed rules.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Now that's exactly the response I expected, so predictable :)

As it should have been, seeing as it's the only logical response. It would be a problem if I came up with something absolutely illogical, and therefore unpredictable.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

*There is just as much evidence of the 22 million double votes for Trump, as there is for the 3 million illegal votes for Hillary. So if you want to claim that 3 million illegally voted for Hillary, then you also have to accept the 22 million who double voted for Trump.

Sorry, you don't get to have your cake and eat it too.*

Trump just keeps on keepin' his promises to the American people.

mtuffizi: "top priority is to eliminate him first."

Ha ha, dream on, mtuffizi.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Yeah, but when you include the 22 million people who double voted for Trump, Hillary actually ends up with a win of 14 million. I'm surprised you'd want to bring up the illegal votes when Trump loses so much worse with them. Usually Trump supporters are happier admitting he won by the 3million votes that the actual numbers show.

Trump was not running against Obama

I know, but I was responding to a post that was trying to justify Trump's win on Obama's policies. I wasn't the one comparing Trump to Obama, the original poster was.

minus the illegal votes Hillary never got more votes than Trump

Trump won because he was against Hillary

Yeah - that's exactly what I said.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

"Well Trump was not running against Obama, minus the illegal votes Hillary never got more votes than Trump"

Utter trash. What comes from Trump would debauch a sewer tabloid.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

If Trump were running against Obama, there is no way he would have won the elections. Even Hillary, with all her flaws, and all the smearing of her name for years ahead of the election, still got 3 million more votes than Trump. Obama would have destroyed that.

Well Trump was not running against Obama, minus the illegal votes Hillary never got more votes than Trump, and anyway in the unique US election system only the electoral votes count. Now if Hillary had not stolen the nomination from Sanders, than in a Trump/Sanders showdown, Sanders would have won. Trump won because he was against Hillary.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

They'll probably just try to find a way to take the money from health care.

@Sangatsu03

"If such were really true, Trump would not have won the election, right? If the economy were in great shape,"

Obama didn't run against Trump. Clinton did. And she wasn't nearly as popular as Obama. But Clinton is still more popular than Trump - she got more votes than he did.

"But bread-winner employment is at near record lows."

The non-partisan OBO has found that the number of non-regular workers is roughly equal to the number of Americans who choose or seek this arrangement. Normally, it's with dual-income households, who want one of the spouses to have more flexible working arrangements so they have more time to spend raising their kids. that's right, millions and millions of working Americans prefer this situation. The employers like it too.

"No doubt about that, the Reps have been the party of choice for decades for business, Wall Street and bankers. That was until the last election which saw wall street and the bankers clearly behind the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton."

True. Clinton had an all too cosy relationship with the Wall Street raptors.

I think the main reason they didn't all get behind Trump wasn't that they believed his bullshit about getting tough on them - they are smart people, not boneheads whooping at a rally. I think the main reason was an understandable worry that this incompetent clown is a source of uncertainty and instability and is capable of running the country off a cliff.

All the pointy little hoods with a few grand wizards thrown in, too.

You seem to know a lot of about the structure of this outdated and laughable organization.

Someone needs to educate Trump that many of those regulations he is rolling back actually helps Americans.

I think he knows a lot about it than you or I, given the fortune he has made for himself over the years.

More protected national parks and protected antiquities create jobs in the form of park rangers, researchers, etc. Many of the regulations put in place were there to stop big rich oil companies from freely digging for oil in your own backyards, as well as prevent from industries to freely dump waste in America's beautiful streams, rivers, and lakes.

Oh, for the love of....here we go again....

This in turn helps preserve precious species. What this all proves is that Trump really never cared for all Americans; only the rich ones, and the ones who he calls his buddies.

Go tell that to California farmers, they'll chase you off their ranches so fast before you can blink.

Obama would have destroyed that.

Hmmm, not so sure about that.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Look at Trump's signature: like a little Klan meeting.

Interesting, how would you know that?

Thanks, b4f.

Utter nonsense, of truly epic proportions. If such were really true, Trump would not have won the election, right?

Utter nonsense, of truly epic proportions. If such were really true, Trump would not have won the election, right? If the economy were in great shape, and employment was at record levels, then Trump could not have possibly won, he would never have even been a candidate.

And that there could be construed as evidence of Russian intervention and rigging of the election.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Why would they want to kill that? Even if you don't believe in climate change, why try to stop the research from happening?

They are free to continue research, but without government money.

They literally just stripped a law saying construction companies have to disclose violations, and the reason is that it bogs them down too much.

In this case, it is of being assumed guilty until proven innocent. Every company in America has violated rules of one kind or another, some intentionally, and some not. In this case, the rules themselves are not being eliminated, and when contractors break those rules, they will be punished as they always have. What the new rules created was a bureaucratic jungle, and welfare for lawyers, which did greatly bog down contract bidding, and it's substantial costs.

Under regulations set by Obama, the US generated record levels of employment and promptly consigned the worst financial crisis in our lifetimes to the history books. Undo those regulations, and then say hello again to another financial and economic meltdown.

If the economy were in great shape, and employment was at record levels, then Trump could not have possibly won, he would never have even been a candidate. Unless you mean that record numbers or Americans are working in part-time, temporary, or minimum-wage jobs with no benefits, these are indeed at record levels. But bread-winner employment is at near record lows.

That was until the last election which saw wall street and the bankers clearly behind the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Only because Trump was a wild card. It turns out those wall street bankers had nothing to worry about.

The big money donors like to hedge their bets, but they still give the majority of their money to Republicans. And corporatist Democrats like Clinton have a progressive wing they have to answer to. I don't see as much debate or division on the corruptive influence of money among Republican politicians.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

With more help from congressional Republicans than Democrats.

No doubt about that, the Reps have been the party of choice for decades for business, Wall Street and bankers. That was until the last election which saw wall street and the bankers clearly behind the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Bill Clinton did sign that piece of deregulation your speaking of.

With more help from congressional Republicans than Democrats. I guess they're willing to cooperate for the right causes.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

the worst financial crisis in 100 years that he inherited from his predecessor do you?

Wouldn't that be predecessor(s), going back since Reagan or even Nixon going off the gold standard and starting the petrodollar? Bill Clinton did sign that piece of deregulation your speaking of.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Look at Trump's signature: like a little Klan meeting.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

And you don't suppose that that had anything to do with the worst financial crisis in 100 years that he inherited from his predecessor do you? That financial crisis that arose from deregulation. Not that deregulation has anything to do with this article, does it?

The point was what Obama did about this debt during his tenure, nothing, never even spoke about it, as if this was not his problem, guess you are right on this being not his problem.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Really, when Obama came to power the the national debt was around $10 trillion and when he left around $20 triilion, talk about financial crisis!

And you don't suppose that that had anything to do with the worst financial crisis in 100 years that he inherited from his predecessor do you? That financial crisis that arose from deregulation. Not that deregulation has anything to do with this article, does it?

Someone needs to remind Trump and his supporters that Putin's economy has been shrinking for the last 3 years, while the US economy under Obama expanded for 7 straight years.

Yeah, let's start by the ukraine styled hegelian dialectic sanctions imposed by McCain and party..

Under regulations set by Obama, the US generated record levels of employment and promptly consigned the worst financial crisis in our lifetimes to the history books

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Although I agree that over-regulation is poor, Obama's regulations are generally very reasonable particularly his social and environmental policies. Repealing the work done on environmental regulations is one of the worst things Trump could do

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Roll back Dumb Donald !

3 ( +4 / -1 )

All these costs always find their way to the end user, me and you, increasing costs for everyone

Yup, always us. The executives at the top will always do well.

I think you have the 2 parties mixed up.

Nah, the proof is in the article. Both conservative and progressive voters dislike corruption. What's the root of corruption? Moneyed interests like large corporations and Wall Street.

Democratic politicians (the good ones) want to stop corruption by regulating the corruptors. Maybe not always efficiently or successfully, but their hearts are in the right place. Republican politicians (almost all of them) want to stop corruption by removing protections against corrupt behavior and making corruption the norm.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

the Republicans prefer it this way.

I think you have the 2 parties mixed up.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

The dumber the populace, the easier to control. That is the game plan, and has been for many years... the Republicans prefer it this way. Ensures only the elite, upper middle class and very wealthy will continue to dominate everything - and the folks will vote for them too. Not much is required, just a catchy slogan: Make American Great, Patriotism.... and the little blind mice follow willingly.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Well done MR PRESIDENT! Keep rolling back the ubiquitous overreach! Much more to do!

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

Republican lawmakers and the Trump administration have made curbing government regulation a top priority this year.

This was the administrations real goal. The wall, immigration, draining the swamp, jobs, etc. were all just a ruse to energize their base. I'm sure the corporations and Wall Street whom Trump represented all along can be trusted to do the right thing without these regulations, right?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

"Trump sees how rich Putin's got doing just that and views Russia as a role model."

Someone needs to remind Trump and his supporters that Putin's economy has been shrinking for the last 3 years, while the US economy under Obama expanded for 7 straight years.

"until we eliminate every unnecessary, harmful and job-killing regulation that we can find,"

Regulations = protections, people.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Another rule nullified by Trump required federal land managers to consider climate change and other long-term effects of proposed development on public lands.

Why would they want to kill that? Even if you don't believe in climate change, why try to stop the research from happening?

The final rule targeted by Republicans had been aimed at forcing government contractors to disclose violations of federal labor laws as they sought more work. The White House argued the rule would “bog down” the federal procurement process, while business groups said that it would increase compliance costs.

They literally just stripped a law saying construction companies have to disclose violations, and the reason is that it bogs them down too much. Why limit our ability to vet? Makes no sense whatsoever unless you are taking donations from companies who have violations to disclose.

Two prime examples of ideology over evidence. Some kind of core belief justifies shutting down research on climate change despite no logical reason to do so, and their thrill for removing regulations enables companies to keep violations hidden. Because of principals.

Here's Ted Koppel calling out Sean Hannity on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmaKl0Zm2c4. He lays down the law.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

GOOD!

Keep the Fed's out of education. The Constitution says so.

top priority is to eliminate him first.

Normally I'd say be careful about saying things like this but with the globalist Intelligence Community clearly against Trump, you'll likely to get recruited.

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

A first step in establishing the kleptocracy Trump and the oligarchs are pushing for is to get rid of any rule or regulation potentially limiting their access to the country's resources. Trump sees how rich Putin's got doing just that and views Russia as a role model. Will Trump also have those opposing him disappeared ala Tsar Vlad?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

eliminate every unnecessary, harmful and job-killing regulation that we can find,” Trump said at a White House signing ceremony.
