I am not aware of any recent "white nationalist" attacks in America (the country that Trump runs). So maybe he's "silent" because he prefers action to stop it instead.

You aren't?

So you aren't aware of Charlottesville? Or the Coast Guard officer who got arrested recently before he could go on his attacks?

White nationalist attacks account for about triple the percentage of terroristic incidents in the USA compared to left wing terrorism.

If you think that right wing, white nationalist attacks aren't recent, then your head is firmly in the sand.

Those who defend Trump defend hate.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I’m waiting for proof OF collusion. We don’t have to prove it didn’t happen you have to prove it did.

I’m waiting for you to prove you’ve ever read Mueller’s mandate.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I suggest that people look at their own silence on that, before accusing Trump or anyone else for their supposed "silence."

You act as if this would somehow justify trumps actions.

I am not aware of any recent "white nationalist" attacks in America (the country that Trump runs). So maybe he's "silent" because he prefers action to stop it instead.

Unfortunately, we live in a social-media-drive hashtag world where we think that merely "speaking out" actually equates substantive action.

And anyone who prefers substantive action to "speaking out" gets accused of "silence." It makes no sense to me.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

What happened in New Zealand was despicable ... quite so.

But that sort of thing happens quite often to Christians in various parts of the world -- and there is plenty of silence about that.

I suggest that people look at their own silence on that, before accusing Trump or anyone else for their supposed "silence."

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I’m waiting for proof OF collusion. We don’t have to prove it didn’t happen you have to prove it did.

We don’t have to prove why they lied or it’s automatically collusion. Again, that’s your burden of proof and why Mueller was given 2 years to find out.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

It was all about money -

For the Democrats as well, the difference is, this President decided to cancel the Democrats money machine as well as protect Israel and the Saudis, thank God.

No collusion?

Even Trump hating Lisa Page said so and cowardly Cohen, works for me.

Answer away - we're waiting...

You got it Lincoln.

So if democrats won't denounce other democrats, Trump should ignore a rise in white supremacy attitude in America that is motivated by the wall and anti-immigration?

I’m not saying that, I’m just saying, the Democrats are THE LAST group of political idiots that can point the finger at someone and call them a supporter of a fringe racist group.

Why does every choice made by Trump have to be determined by the actions of the Democrats?

It doesn’t and not at all, but as I said, they don’t have a stand at all on this issue.

Shouldn't he be better them, if he wants to beat them?

It wouldn’t matter as I said before, the media will distort and come up with another narrative to make this guy look bad and I don’t blame him for not saying anything. If Trump says, I condemn it, the media would never say, the President condemned these idiots in the strongest terms, they would say, but he didn’t say it with sincerity or he’s just saying it to deflect from Russia, so it doesn’t matter what or how he’s says it.

You're saying its ok for Trump to ignore racism because a few Liberal politicians aren't denounced for inappropriate behavior. What a load!

He doesn’t and he never did, the problem is the Liberals are never satisfied with what he says and how he says things and the liberals argument of a man who embrace Judaism and who’s been trying to uplift blacks and who has had a black woman live in the White House faults flat and it’s not working call that despite their feeble constant attempts

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

But that's not the reason he pulled the US out of it

Actually, it was, the primary reason for it was it undercut long term the safety of Israel. Again, I trust the IDF over what the liberal big wigs at home are trying to indoctrinate into our heads.

It was all about money - even you have said so in previous posts. So now Trump is going to follow the far right wing crazies that took us to war in 2003. How did that work out?

Well, none of them are there - but Manfort, Gates, Cohen, Papadapolous, Flynn, et al, are or will soon be - and then there are the 26 sealed indictments that have yet to be opened. Then add the forthcoming indictments from the SD NY Attorney. The cell block at Pelican Bay is going to be named Republican Row....

Ok, so once again. No collusion. What a relief that is.

No collusion? Care to answer the quesion again that's been posed 10 times that you've dodged - why did all these Trump associates lie about Russian contacts? Why does Trump say he has "ZERO" business interests in Russia when his sons say that's where his company gets all its money? Why did he lie 3 times about the Trump Tower meeting with Russian agents?

Until you can offer a plausible explanation for all the lying about Russia, no way you can say no collusion...

Answer away - we're waiting....

What exactly has President Trump done supposedly wrong?

Its great he condemned the attack. But for one, he refuses to address a rise in white supremacy groups around the world and thinks they are small groups of troubled individuals. They are not, doesn't take long to figure that out.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

President TTP has condemned the attack along with other world leaders, and 99.99 recurring % of people.

The suspect has been charged in NZ and will send trail for murder.

What exactly has President Trump done supposedly wrong?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I would as well, because anything and I mean, anything I say would be used by every liberal media in the US to condemn and vilify me.

Boo Hoo. A president should act like one.

As my father once told me, I’m not going to give you a rope to help you hang myself.

Atrocious grammar.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

The disconnect comes from you thinking as an idealist, wanting to make the world a better place, and Bass speaking as a hyper-partisan, wanting to ensure his party has power no matter what, with zero interest in making the world a better place.

I realize that the race problem is something that needs to be faced and solved head on. People like Trump only create a wider gap between people, race, culture, etc. There is nothing wrong with nationalism, but in a country like America, there sure seems to be a lot of right wingers that associate nationalism with whiteness. Just look at the comments on right wing media sources (fox news, etc...). Pretty much every article that involves a minority is meant with Trump fans drooling, "I bet it was an immigrant". Its absolutely sick.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I would as well, because anything and I mean, anything I say would be used by every liberal media in the US to condemn and vilify me. As my father once told me, I’m not going to give you a rope to help you hang myself.

You would because you don't know how to defend an argument, statement, or opinion, nor does Trump.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I would as well, because anything and I mean, anything I say would be used by every liberal media in the US to condemn and vilify me.

I thought you people wanted a straight talker. Now you want a liar. You're all over the place.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

So if democrats won't denounce other democrats, Trump should ignore a rise in white supremacy attitude in America that is motivated by the wall and anti-immigration? Are you a neo-nazi? Why does every choice made by Trump have to be determined by the actions of the Democrats? Shouldn't he be better them, if he wants to beat them? You're saying its ok for Trump to ignore racism because a few Liberal politicians aren't denounced for inappropriate behavior.

Trump being silent on the threat from white nationalists isn't news,

I would as well, because anything and I mean, anything I say would be used by every liberal media in the US to condemn and vilify me. As my father once told me, I’m not going to give you a rope to help you hang myself.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

No more than the Democrats denouncing Omar and the two racists in VA.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Trump being silent on the threat from white nationalists isn't news, just like it isn't news when one of his speeches is riddled with lies and inaccuracies. This is to be expected from Dimwit.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Are you seriously equating an individual's stance on Israel with white nationalism,

Yes.

especially given its history in the US where thousands of Black men were lynched?

Lynching and genocide leads to the same thing, murder with intent, both are very bad, but the Jewish people have been hunted down and persecuted for over 2000 years. So with everyone everywhere trying to kill the Jewish people I would definitely say, yes.

Are you admitting Trump protects White nationalists? Are Trump supporters OK that he won't denounce White nationalists?

No more than the Democrats denouncing Omar and the two racists in VA.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Would you guys be happier with an article that reads:

Mick Mulvaney defends Trump after New Zealand massacre, says president 'not a white supremacist'

Would that article be more right oriented?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Ok, so the President is protecting White Nationalists in the same way the Democrats are protecting Omar, I see.

You're complaining about Democrat's "protecting Omar", while at the exact same time, in the same posts you're complaining in, you "protect" Trump and refuse to call him out

Whatever your reply is regarding 'Liberals', it seems you should swamp your own name out if you want to be accurate.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump is not a white supremacist or a nationalist. Trump is a Trumpist.

This was not the first time Trump had run for President. When Trump first ran for President, he was a Democrat that ran on different views. He failed to win the Democratic primary and then waited. Once he started making a lot of noise during the Obama campaign and he saw he was becoming popular, he switched his affiliation to Republican and started pitching a completely different idea.

Trump is a salesman and nothing more. He does what will benefit him and doesn't particularly care about America, white nationalists, minorities, or anyone other than himself.

While white supremacy is taking the forefront, around the world nationalism has been spreading far more around the world and taking root in major political campaigns for many countries.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Blaming Trump for not saying enough about white supremacy violence is an easy scapegoat for you libtards. As I said, in your eyes, regardless of the information available through a simple search, Trump will always be wrong no matter what he does.

No, he is right sometimes. I strongly support his efforts to deal with Chinese IP theft. And for all his failures on NK, I give him credit for at least trying (I've only criticized his Trumpets who are entirely clueless as to how things work with NK). When he does right I'll call it out.

But this time, he has done a poor job as the leader of America. There is nothing to praise, and everything to criticize this time.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

This terrorist is getting exactly what he wanted. The left projecting his actions on to trump and trump supporters when actually in his manifesto he's an eco fascist and wanted this terrorist attack to cause civil unrest and more violence.

Please stop projecting terrorist garbage on to the president of the United States. Really shameful.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

I did my research and those articles are not the same at all!

Wasn't a thing about this on Fox, Info Wars or Sputnik....

Where were you idiots when Obama was supporting terrorism by funding Iran etc?

Funding Iran - as in getting them to sign an agreement where they wouldn't pursue gaining nuclear weapons - the one Dimwit Donnie pulled out of, so they are free to now go nuclear...got to keep those Saudi investors happy....

Blaming Trump for not saying enough about white supremacy violence is an easy scapegoat for you libtards.

Welcome back to elementary school....

As I said, in your eyes, regardless of the information available through a simple search, Trump will always be wrong no matter what he does.

Well, as long as it is illegal, immoral, unethical, undignified...well, yes, essentially that means everything he does is wrong...

How about looking at his achievements to date instead of wishing you were right on your hate filled diatribes?

Dang straight - he's accomplished almost all of the punch list Putin gave him at their first Summit - you know, the one where there were no US interpreters in the room...

3 ( +3 / -0 )

@bass Let’s see...Google the most progressive

Given white nationalists are often pro-Russia, you could use Yandex. Here: https://yandex.com/search/?text=trump%20racism&lr=20791

2 ( +2 / -0 )

@bas4 Ok, so the President is protecting White Nationalists in the same way the Democrats are protecting Omar, I see.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Only if posters ignore the evidence that's long been provided on this forum, let alone the evidence easily found online. Google - or Yandex - it.

Let’s see...Google the most progressive corrupt corporation that refuses to help the Pentagon Design hi-tech weapons for the next generation of national defense, but are eager to help China develop a system to help monitor and control all aspects of individuals lives in their country. Google...yeah....

That's easy to do when Trump provides so many opportunities. Hunting fish in a barrel easy.

You guys have terrible aim.

She was wrong and has been censured by her Party. How about calling out a president who claims Democrats are anti-Jewish.

When Democrats complained and whined about Steve King and his racist outbursts, he was called out, censured and removed from committee assignments and rightfully so, the Democrats on the other hand outright refuse to call her out or strip her from her committee duties, speaks volumes of how the Democrats will deal and accept racism.

I agree. All instances of racism need to be called out and shamed. If only the president would set the example instead of protecting the white nationalists in his base.

Ok, so the President is protecting White Nationalists in the same way the Democrats are protecting Omar, I see.

Any articles on the Christian hating Muslims in Nigeria recently? Fulani jihadists racked up a death toll of over 120 Christians over the past three weeks in central Nigeria, employing machetes and gunfire to slaughter men, women, and children, burning down over 140 houses, destroying property, and spreading terror.

You are trying to make it tit for tat though, aren't you.

Citing these examples, are you trying to defend the attacker now? Seems like by citing these cases you are trying to send the message that all Muslims are evil...wrong.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Doesn't make Trump a white supremacist. Trump is white and a nationalist ( someone who loves their country ). Nothing wrong with either one of those things.

You are absolutely right. However, making fun of minorities using their race, is racist. Trump does it weekly, if not daily.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

@rickykaminski13 well said.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

The alleged gunman -- identified as an Australian white nationalist -- livestreamed the assault on social media and published a manifesto filled with racist conspiracy theories.

He also referred to Trump as "a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose."

Doesn't make Trump a white supremacist. Trump is white and a nationalist ( someone who loves their country ). Nothing wrong with either one of those things.

The gunman is crazy.

By the way the photo is from Trump's announcement of his veto of Congress' attempt to stop his national emergency declaration:

Belrick

The articles you posted share the exact same information as the JT article. The exact same quotes, and the exact same stance. I'm not sure what you intend on proving here...maybe you can explain?

I think the argument stand that Trump should address the issue of growing white supremacy, if not abroad, at least in America. He flat out stated that he doesn't think white supremacy is a problem but rather "a small group of people that have very, very serious problems, I guess". KKK, neo nazis, etc are white supremacist groups that are growing everyday around the globe. Maybe you should do a little research before you ask others to do so first...

5 ( +6 / -1 )

As if anything he could do or say would appease his rabid haters. He’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. There is no discourse anymore with certain types. It’s all gone mental mate.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

The victims families are grieving, mourning there loss, funeral arrangements yet to be finalised. On their grief politicians assume it is appropriate to take advantage and play party politics.

On Friday evening a vigil was held at New York University attended by Chelsea Clinton.

At this vigil, news outlet have reported that Clinton was purportedly subjected to accusations by Palestinian activists that the Christchurch massacre was ‘stoked by people like you’ in relation to tweets Chelsea Clinton directed at rep Ilhan Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes.

Politician and activists could and should display a modicum of respect for the families of the deceased and wait until after the funerals.

Trump could well stand accused of failing to follow political and diplomatic protocols. Whether Trump failed in his duty to forcefully condemn the role white supremacy had in this appalling atrocity will be judged when a detailed thorough investigation have been completed.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@Ricky Kaminski13

We'll said.

Time for solemn pause and reflection for everyone. Out of respect for the victims, let there be a mourning period before the inevitable screaming matches begin again. Sigh.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Trump has 2 choices,

Condemn racism/white supremacy and make america great.

Remain silent and make America more racist.

Looks like his choice is hatred.

The problem is, Trump was dragged into this by being labeled a role model by the man who carried out last weeks attack. I think if Trump had not been mentioned as an inspiration for an evil horrible attack on Muslims, this wouldn't need to be an issue. Unfortunately, it is and Trump is refusing to fight it because it goes against his true character as a white supremacist...

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@Alphaape - the leaders of both NZ and Australia have stood up and called it what it is. Trump, although this has little to do with him, should actually be standing there with most of the prominent world leaders and do the same.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

To comment or not on an incident in every foreign country in the world is beyond any presidential remit....

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

slammed!! Oh no the left has another big word they can use for a week.

well you know Trump may just learn something to expand his limited vocabulary.

then again may Trump may not want to confuse himself and his followers with big words

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I think the problem for Trump is that the entirety of his brief political career turns on nationalism and xenophobia. He came to the fore as a birther and an outright liar ("thousands and thousands of Muslims celebrating 9-11 in Jersey City). And as we all know by now, shrieking about immigrants is about all he has to offer Americans. It provides perfect cover for all his other exploits, rewarding his cronies, lining up deals for his family, chipping away at the regulatory state. He's a grifter and a nasty piece of work and it's rather hard to rebrand at this late date.

The real question is if the GOP can still win elections if they stop dogwhistling. Possibly, but that would require acknowledging a segment of their base is made up of fellow travelers with extremists. And telling all those people they're moral cretins who should crawl back under their rocks would jeopardize the party's short-term ability to win elections. Of course, they could attempt to broaden their message or start addressing the real problems Americans face. They could stop distracting voters or misdirecting their anger against the weakest members of society. But who are we kidding--that might result in people getting wise to the con--that virtually all of America's wealth flows back into the pockets of the 1%. Imagine where all that rage would be directed if enough folks realize Jose or Abdul aren't to blame.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Stop using this tragedy for political gains and points! It’s the worst form of opportunitism. The left just refuses to understand that not all conservatives or people who swing right on social issues are white supremists or racists, rendering themselves ideologically possessed and unable to communicate with. They come out swinging before the conversations even begin. All in the name of progress! Shame on this type of mindset.

Time for solemn pause and reflection for everyone. Out of respect for the victims, let there be a mourning period before the inevitable screaming matches begin again. Sigh.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

The debate over bigotry quickly shifted to Trump after the atrocity in New Zealand.

Trump had nothing to do with this attack in NZ.  As a matter of fact, the whole issue of "white Nationalist" have nothing to do with NZ.  For those who don't know, NZ and AU have a long history of mistreatment to the native populations of those lands well before the USA had even broken away from England.  It wasn't until sometime in the late 50's or 60's that in Australia they stopped the forced taking away of children from aboriginal families.  So there has long been an issue of bigotry in NZ and AU where the shooter was from that doesn't need any from the USA.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

BlacklabelToday  08:39 am JST

You are protecting your racists. By not speaking about them...

How about this. Whenever allegations of racism against a Democrat or left-leaning politician make it into an article here, we can condemn them all you like and demand his or her resignation. This article is about Donald Trump. You are not speaking about him, are you.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Over 50 people die due to a far right white supremacist terrorist attack and our President can only offer weak statements of condemnation...

But two Fox News anchors utter vile racist rhetoric and face suspension and he goes off the rails...

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/03/17/trump-fox-1224362

The president wrote that Fox News “must stay strong and fight back with vigor.” Framing the public relations fracas in gladiatorial terms, Trump advised the network to “continue to fight for our Country” and “[s]top working soooo hard on being politically correct, which will only bring you down.”

“The losers all want what you have, don’t give it to them,” the president wrote online. “Be strong & prosper, be weak & die!”

After so may deaths, this Idiot uses this kind of inflamatory language.

And Trumpers here say there's "no proof" that he incites violence...while it stares them right in the face....

Trumpers would look at the photo at the top of this article and say ; "There's no proof he's orange"....

2 ( +5 / -3 )

He is wrong whatever he says or doesn't say.

Its hard to be right when everything you say is a lie...

0 ( +2 / -2 )

He is wrong whatever he says or doesn't say.

That's not an acceptable excuse.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

He is wrong whatever he says or doesn't say.

Attitudes like this don't help. Team politics is anti-societal.

When Trump says something right, he should be credited for it. When he says something wrong, he should be condemned.

The problem is that he says a lot that should be condemned, but the right don't want to admit this, so they try to attribute the massive amount of criticism towards him as being biased against him, rather than accepting the truth that the reason he is criticized so much, is because he is not only crooked as hell, he is also totally inept. Their team is getting their cause and effect backwards.

Trump has worked towards some good things - like dealing with Chinese IP theft. We should all support him on that. On the other hand, he's created an environment of fear, where racists feel that it's ok to express their despicable beliefs. We should condemn him for that.

We should all stop being stupid and thinking that attacks on his ineptitude are purely team based.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

These terror attacks are meant to divide, and it's a shame how easily so many here take the bait.

I agree. Like in NZ for instance... Most people are standing up against the violence regardless of race, religion or political view. People have come together more than ever before. In the US it seems people just don't want that to happen.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I'm not sure why the word terrorism only applies to attacks carried out by muslims in the eyes of the alt-right.. Its awfully strange, the rest of the world seems to get it except for conservative Americans (some on here included). Either they have an incredible lack of historical knowledge or they are racists I guess. What is it called when white people carry out attacks with the purpose of spreading a message of fear?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

He is wrong whatever he says or doesn't say.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

It’s not difficult to treat white supremacists with the disgust they deserve, particularly after one committed a filthy massacre. It isn’t time consuming or difficult.

He finds the time to grandstand, lie, post/retweet trash and defend a Fox News sock puppet stirring up anti-Muslim feelings.

He’s clearly got the time.

Conspicuous by its absence is the right expression.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

To be clear: Following a horrific massacre of Muslims by an Islamophobe, Trump basically makes the same argument.

Yep. Same argument as the terrorist - that it's the fault of the immigrants.

It's pretty clear why Trump is so weak on this topic. He's strong, just strong in a direction his team doesn't want to admit.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Damned if you do,

By who?

damned if you don’t!

Rightfully so.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

The proof is in the pudding. Following a prefunctory message of sympathy to New Zealand and its victims, Trump got down to business. A favorite Fox "News" host and vicious Trump propagandist, Jeanine Pirro, has been silenced since she claimed Muslims cannot hold political office as their loyalty was suspect. Trump is outraged so tweeted:

Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well. Fox .....

....must stay strong and fight back with vigor. Stop working soooo hard on being politically correct, which will only bring you down, and continue to fight for our Country. The losers all want what you have, don’t give it to them. Be strong & prosper, be weak & die! Stay true....

....to the people that got you there. Keep fighting for Tucker, and fight hard for @JudgeJeanine. Your competitors are jealous - they all want what you’ve got - NUMBER ONE. Don’t hand it to them on a silver platter. They can’t beat you, you can only beat yourselves!

To be clear: Following a horrific massacre of Muslims by an Islamophobe, Trump basically makes the same argument.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Remember when the Republicans literally freaked out about Obama not using the word 'terrorism'? Yet they are surprisingly quiet right now...

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Who cares what the republicans or democrats do or say, the president should carry a bigger voice and a message to the people that racism is not OK. You guys need to get wise, stop defending the president with dems this, dems that.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

How do you guys continue defending Trump for not fighting racism? Regardless of whether or not he is a white supremacist or not, as the potus, he should be strongly condemning all racism and he is not. He's advocating censorship of free speech when it comes to his personal image but won't comment on racist dialogue...hmmm...

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Seriously. All Trump needs to do is make a statement saying he condemns the atrocities committed by this white supremacist and that violence by extremists of any sort will not go unpunished. That statement includes the blame for this event on white supremacy. Saying he condemns white supremacy is not the same as saying he condemns conservatives. So why is it such a big deal to do that?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

slammed!! Oh no the left has another big word they can use for a week.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

These terror attacks are meant to divide, and it's a shame how easily so many here take the bait.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

You are protecting your racists. By not speaking about them and hoping other news will keep giving you things to attack Trump about. You know you can’t defend what they have said and done so silence is your only hope.

Liberaks project what they are doing onto the other groups always. You are being silent about racism on your side.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

The shooter's manifesto was all over the place, but there's only a specific part in it that closely reflects his action.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Is Trump a white supremacist? No. He isn’t. Trump is for Trump and only Trump.

Black people came out in droves to vote for Trump? False. By the amount of eligible black voters, this was the worst black turnout since Reagan’s first election. Also, Democrats overwhelmingly won the black vote.

Trump will not denounce white supremacy because it would alienate a large amount of his voter base and he cares about that more than right or wrong. Trump only makes moves beneficial for Trump and denouncing them isn’t a beneficial move for Trump.

@Concerned citizens

African Americans haven’t benefited from Trump. The current economy is from Obama moves. Not Trump. Majority of Trumps moves that do affect African Americans has been his cabinets huge initiative to roll back equal rights laws and programs. That doesn’t benefit African Americans. I don’t know if you are aware, but Trumps economic moves only start taking affect from this year. The economy was on a huge upswing prior to Trump taking office.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

No you should remove your proven racists. They are still in office and you hide them by not talking about them or passing legislation denouncing racism without identifying why it was necessary (your racist said something racist again)

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

@bass4 There is absolutely zero proof of that

Only if posters ignore the evidence that's long been provided on this forum, let alone the evidence easily found online. Google - or Yandex - it.

liberals will take any and every opportunity to cast this President as a racist.

That's easy to do when Trump provides so many opportunities. Hunting fish in a barrel easy.

She was wrong and has been censured by her Party. How about calling out a president who claims Democrats are anti-Jewish.

If liberals want to try and paint the President as a racist, they need to look deep in their own closet

I agree. All instances of racism need to be called out and shamed. If only the president would set the example instead of protecting the white nationalists in his base.

For Dem attacks “silence” only means not saying what they want you to say. In those cases they pretend you have said nothing.

dems on the other hand have actually been silent on the racists in their own party.

So should the "dems" be defending their pedophiles and racists like the pubs do?

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out whether you guys think we should do what you do, or do what you say. With all your conflicting positions, and manufactured outrage, it becomes really difficult to track which thing you are outraged by at any given time.

Here comes David Duke again. He supports Democrats now, you know?

Mr Donald J. Trump continues to be a dangerous embarrassment to the United States of America.

Maybe not, but he and the GOP nabobs know white nationalists comprise an important part of Trump's GOP base.

There is absolutely zero proof of that. Liberals have been peddling that nonsense for years. You have a growing black base supporting Trump, we’re they all Black Lives Matters Associates?

Again, Trump the slimy politician knows how to appeal to many in his base. He knows how important Fox'news' and its 'journalists', especially those who distort info in support of him, are to him and his syndicate in their ongoing attempts to increase the value of the Trump brand name and tear down foundations of the US democratic republic.

Hogwash, the real problem is, liberals will take any and every opportunity to cast this President as a racist. Look at the Democrats, they have real racists among their ranks. You have a congresswoman that is an outright blatant racist that made racist comments about Jews, purposely and in VA you have 2 congressman that wore blackface and played it off as if it was nothing, they had and supported a former Grand Wizard in Congress where the former Secretary of State called him her mentor.

The attacks are slimy at its worst. The President has zero responsibility for what happened in NZ. If liberals want to try and paint the President as a racist, they need to look deep in their own closet before trying to accuse and air out someone’s laundry.

Prior to Trump, the GOP always kept their white supremacist and racist ties "in the closet" - they were frankly embarrassed by them - the GOP was the party of the "button down shirt" crowd, the "country club" Republican. They wanted their votes, but they didn't want the association to be out in the open.

Wow, has that changed. Now it's "there are good people on both sides" - when one side is all Neo-Nazis and KKK. Trump peeled the lid back, and the racist crazies came pouring out. Now David Duke openly professes his support for Trump;

David Duke, the former KKK grand wizard, is unambiguous about what Saturday’s alt-right and neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, means to him: It’s the fulfillment of President Donald Trump’s vision for America.

“We are determined to take our country back,” Duke said from the rally, calling it a “turning point.” “We are going to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump. That’s what we believed in. That’s why we voted for Donald Trump, because he said he’s going to take our country back.”

Because these racists make up such a large percentage of his base, he can't break with them - so we get weak statements or condemnation or no condemnation at all.

This is not America - for over 200 years we have been striving to make progress on civil rights and fair treatment for all.

It's past time to throw Dimwit Donnie out of the White House and send all his white supremacist supporters back under the rocks they crawled out from - or better yet, expel them to Russia where their views are much more mainstream... Send Donnie along too - he and Putin can have ajoining Penthouses at Trump Tower Moscow...

Shouldn't the Democrats wish that Trump had spent all his moral and leadership capital by the time the next election comes around? Or are they more interested in scoring short term political goal?

I think they're intending to not pull punches from here through to the election.

If Trump wants to give up 'grounds' morally, why help him regain it?

Mulvaney scoffed at the idea that Trump's anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies had anything to do with the New Zealand attack.

The shooter mentions Trump in his manifesto, Mulvaney. Hard to spin that any other way.

This ridiculous accusation of President Trump as a supposed 'white supremacist' shows how little his enemies actually care about African Americans who are far better off economically under Trump than they were under Obama.

-14 ( +6 / -20 )

Whether or not Trump is himself a white supremacist internally, he's definitely an enabler externally.

16 ( +19 / -3 )

So why did African Americans abandoned the Democratic Party in droves to vote for him in 2016?

Except that didn't happen.

The African American percentage for Hillary Clinton was the same as it's historically been, 88 percent.

President Trump a 'white supremacist'? So why did African Americans abandoned the Democratic Party in droves to vote for him in 2016?

Russian influence. That's what they are finding from going through the postings from the Russians in 2016 to influence the election. They would put together special interest groups on something entirely unpolitical. Say 'black youth' or 'black housewives' or whatever. Then they would post content that matched the group, but periodically would make a small political post, something like 'as black people, we should not vote for the white man's government', or 'as black people, we can't vote for Hillary'. The Russians knew that the black vote would be one that traditionally goes Democrat, and they hated Hillary, as they were worried that she would be a hawk. So they put their goals to lowering black voting, and redirecting the black vote away from Democrats.

"The president is not a white supremacist," Mulvaney said in an interview with Fox News Sunday.

Actions speak louder than words, but in Trump's case it's the opposite!

Shouldn't environmentalists also be "slammed" for silence on the eco-terrorist threat?

Did the shooter target people based on his environmental beliefs? No. Do any environmentalists advocate violence like this against Muslims? No.

Did he target people based on his white supremacist ideology? Yes. Do white supremacists advocate violence like this against Muslims? Yes.

So maybe white supremacists and their supporters like Trump own a bit more of this atrocity than the tree huggers do, but by all means carry on making spurious arguments like that.

President Trump a 'white supremacist'? So why did African Americans abandoned the Democratic Party in droves to vote for him in 2016?

-21 ( +8 / -29 )

"The president is not a white supremacist,"

Maybe not, but he and the GOP nabobs know white nationalists comprise an important part of Trump's GOP base.

Trump has avoided the subject of white nationalism on Twitter, where he instead fired off a string of messages in support of Jeanine Pirro, a Fox News host reprimanded by the network for remarks widely criticized as Islamophobic.
