Public health experts worry that Trump’s refusal to take aggressive action on the pandemic or to coordinate with the Biden team during the final two months of his presidency will only worsen the effects of the virus and hinder the nation’s ability to swiftly distribute a vaccine next year.

Thats becuase this whole thing was only about one person - himself. Please go back to the swamp you crawled out of Trump - the game is over for you.

Staying in power is far more important to Trump than the health of the American people, or their economic welfare or even the security of the country. Said it 4 years ago, this guy is not and never has been "fit" for office.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

He's a pathetic creature reading nonsense at his press conference. "Most cases because we have the most testing with the greatest accuracy in the world." type nonsense.

He's said the government will not send the vaccine to New York for political reasons.

The US is approaching the same deaths in less than a year than all of the US combat deaths in the 3-1/2 years of WWII.

Trump is the most lethal president in history by his lack of leadership.

If 245,000 people had been killed in a war, a sane US president would have mustered the people to fight the war by acting in unity to protect their families and their neighbors as all patriotic people should do.

Instead, he fed people lies was a traitor to the nation.

Trump, stewing over election loss, silent as virus surges

Other than himself and perhaps his children, Trump has never shown even the slightest concern for any other human. He's genomically incapable of being anything but a thug.

Trump is the worst politician in US history. Along with being a terrible businessmale. LOSER!

13 ( +13 / -0 )

The role of a leader during any public health crisis is to direct the efforts towards the most efficient way to control it.

It is sad that in this case the best thing he has done against the pandemic is just to stop being in the way.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

There is speculation now that Trump will feign some illness and resign before the inauguration so VP Pence can pardon him.

The courts would never allow him to pardon himself, so it's his last move to not be indicted.

James

Would it really have been any different than what Trump has done?

Yes. Quite a bit different. Biden would have organised a federal approach rather than letting the states fend for themselves. Also, he wouldn't have disbanded the pandemic response team.

At least Trump organised Operation Warp Speed to get a vaccine ready as soon as possible

It's interesting to note that the first, most likely viable vaccine was not part of Operation Warp Speed.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

He should concede and just stay at the golf course. Let Pence handle things until Jan 20th.

Instead, he is trying his using his only skill, graft, to extract money from his followers with his "legal defense" funding campaign that pays money to the GoP and his new PAC, and doesn't put any money towards the stated purpose, legal defense.

The S.Ct. is not entering the fray on several cases, to include subpoenas for information on his financial fraud cases. They are waiting until Jan. 20th when the stupid assertion of presidential immunity is moot. Then, the president is likely facing criminal fraud charges. He already should have faced criminal charges for his foundation.

Trump is a loser that keeps losing.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

So he’s just made his first speech since losing, talking about how an approved vaccine might be available to the general public by April. Before the election wasn’t he saying one could be ready by ejection time?

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Ejection time = election time

but it’s funny.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Lawrence Gostin, a public health expert at Georgetown University’s law school, said Biden will only be able to “scratch the surface” of tackling a pandemic that could be a “raging forest fire” by the time he takes office on Jan. 20.

Nero and his fiddle? Or in this case Trump and his Twitter.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Has the stable genius worked out he lost yet?

11 ( +11 / -0 )

A disgrace to the presidency and the country.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

just to show you how evil Trump is, he wanted to replace ALL of the electoral college electors with loyalists, who would vote for him no matter what their state’s certified! Luckily he missed the supreme courts UNANIMOUS decision on this, that they can’t do this. https://guce.yahoo.com/consent?brandType=nonEu&gcrumb=HaEacMc&done=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.yahoo.com%2Ftrump-asked-aides-could-pursue-113507375.html%3Fsoc_src%3Dsocial-sh%26soc_trk%3Dfb%26tsrc%3Dfb

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Warp_Speed

I recall them saying it couldn't be done and needs 5 -10 years to get a vaccine ready, So with Biden we may have had to wait the full amount of time so in the long run America would have been worse off.

Wrong on quite a few counts. One, Pfizer's vaccine has nothing to do with Operation Warp Speed. They've flat out stated this. Also, the timeline for a vaccine was a year to a year and a half. Even if Pfizer's vaccine is ready for distribution with no effects, it'd be ready at... a year to a year and a half after research started.

Stewing just like quite a lot JT posters!!!

They have no explanation for trump's epic loss, failure as a president, and incompetence with the pandemic.

He has been successful as a superspreader. He ishe best superspreader in US history.

Over 130 Secret Service agents isolating amid White House COVID-19 outbreak

https://nypost.com/2020/11/13/over-130-secret-service-agents-isolating-amid-covid-19-outbreak/

He will start to take revenge on people, break as much of the government as possible, and do something foolish for on a global scale for internet likes and tweets.

Of course, while try to save himself from prison time.

Trump Has Reportedly Been Asking About Pardons for Himself, His Family, and More

I remember when Trump was saying that he would win easily against Biden because he claimed that Biden was mentally weak. Well well well. Who is the weak one now.?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

240,000 dead. A very real possibility of 300,000 dead by the end of the year.

That is a legacy nobody will forget.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

He has fumed that Pfizer intentionally withheld an announcement about progress on its vaccine trial until after Election Day

The man literally sits there and invents ways to be a victim.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

James:. Would it really have been any different than what Trump has done?

Trump routinely undercut his own medical experts in an effort to undermine public trust in them. All for political purposes.

He routinely mocked people for wearing masks in public and had mass gatherings and intentionally threw out the safety precautions.

His lack of following guidelines is why we are seeing dozens around him getting the virus, including himself.

He was reckless and literally the worst example he could have been as a leader.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

We just don’t know that, the Dems have been hiding so much about Biden, hard to say where the guy stands or what he thinks

After spending so many hours on here telling us what Biden will do or what he is thinking, now suddenly it’s all a mystery?

What a cop out.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Trump's legacy:

Lost the popular vote twice.

Got impeached once.

Was as bad a president as Obama was amazing.

Let over 200,000 Americans die under his watch.

Collapsed the economy.

Those of us who are smart told those who were stupid that this would happen. The stupid were too stupid to realize they should listen to us smart ones.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

The election, the virus's wild spread, etc., these are all signs of the serious decline of the USA.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

It's so good that Biden has named Ron Klain as Chief of Staff. He is well qualified and has a lot of experience; which can't be said of Trump's choices. Klain is known for his handling of the Ebola virus outbreak which could've threatened the U.S., but didn't due to their effective handling of it.

In any case, where is Trump? He is still the President of the U.S. so he still has a job to do, but isn't doing it. It seems that all he's doing is watching more TV, tweeting and playing golf. The least he could do is to give the security briefings to Biden's team and let them do their jobs of making a seamless transition. Doing nothing, threatens the security of America.

The SORE LOSER got mad and took his toys home!!!!

Trump walks away from Covid briefing refusing to take questions about the election

trump:

Screw you, guys. I am going home. Respect my Authoritah!!!!!

No greater an example of a US President "giving up" and ignoring his duty to keep Americans safe....

Trump the Coward refuses to do his duty to protect his country - whether its dodging the draft or hiding on his golf course while the pandemic re-surges...

DJP is MIA...and his cowardice and failures means he will be one of the most reviled President's in US history...

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Narrator voice over: Except that isn't what the article or the doctor says at all.

Their team isn't very good at reading comprehension. Or inference. Or choosing leaders for that matter - that's three utter losers in a row; two Bushes and a Trump.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I wonder how Biden would have handled the Coronavirus especially since WHO initially said mask was not needed.

Impossible, of course, to say.

But it's doubtful Biden would have tried to hide knowledge of the virus for fear of causing 'chaos' in the markets.

It's also doubtful Biden would have suggested 'injecting a disinfectant'.

Also doubtful Biden would have made personal attacks on CDC scientists and doctors while claiming he knew as much as them.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Stewing? Crying is probably more accurate.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Abandoning his oath of office to "faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States...", Trump "stews" rage-tweeting on his couch and watching his legacy circling the drain on his row of TV sets while Covid surges out of control. The history books will note his egregious dereliction of duty. Whither his precious presidential library (of tweets)? Wallpaper decorating Trump Tower?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I wonder how Biden would have handled the Coronavirus especially since WHO initially said mask was not needed.

Yeah, in January. As soon as the evidence was in about their effectiveness the WHO and world leaders except Trump started actively promoting them. Trump, solely because he didn’t think they looked cool, refused to do so and made them a test of political loyalty to him personally.

No chance that Biden, or any other sane leader, would have done that. And that is just the masks.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Absolutely useless person. No sense of responsibility, although that's no surprise, given that he never really intended to become president. People are getting infected and dying and the country could be at a security risk while he is hiding in his bunker (apart from appearing at Arlington for all of ten minutes after turning up late). He knows he can't find any evidence for voter fraud. He's using his fund as an excuse to suck up money from his cult followers to pay off his debts. The loser is LOW-INCOME.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Its time for some 'leader' to take over for this 2 months as the joker still sulking while the virus surge ahead. The leaders in Republicans must take responsible for their actions

6 ( +6 / -0 )

What a loser

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Finally something golden from the anti-Midas: silence.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I remember when Trump was saying that he would win easily against Biden because he claimed that Biden was mentally weak. Well well well. Who is the weak one now.?

I remember the pubs on the site saying how glad they were that the Democrats had picked Biden as the candidate, because it "meant the democrats would lose".

Turns out they, just like their Dear Loser, don't have a clue how reality works.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

In the closing days of the campaign, Trump sought to reassure Americans that the country was “rounding the corner” on the virus,

And now claims he won the election, so delusions has always been a problem with this guy.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

And aides say the president has shown little interest in the growing crisis even as new confirmed cases are skyrocketing and hospital intensive care units in parts of the country are nearing capacity.

Article 25 now, save American lives.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I don't know what to expect from him over the next two months, other than moving furniture out of the White House. Will he make a legacy, something more meaningful?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Trump Has Reportedly Been Asking About Pardons for Himself, His Family, and More

I think the likelihood of Trump being prosecuted for any federal crime is near nil. Biden and the D's will want to reduce tensions between parties and do what they can to make Trump fade away, not give him more attention.

And the reality is Biden and many of his uber-rich supporters are not that different from Trump in terms of how they have made their fortunes.

During Trump's time in DC it's been clearly exposed how corrupt Trump and his fellow 'elite' are. Biden and his people will want to try to sweep that back under the carpet.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

But it's doubtful Biden would have tried to hide knowledge of the virus for fear of causing 'chaos' in the markets.

We just don’t know that, the Dems have been hiding so much about Biden, hard to say where the guy stands or what he thinks because the media doesn’t ask him hardball questions other than what flavor ice cream Joe likes.

Also doubtful Biden would have made personal attacks on CDC scientists and doctors while claiming he knew as much as them.

Why would he when the CDC head has his own past problems in his own country, but it seems like this virus or the experts are a bit selective, if you celebrate a Biden win, you can form clusters and not wear a mask, if you’re Trump supporter you’re a super spreader, elusive and intelligent this virus!

The logistics for delivery are already set in place and ready to go Trump had these organised 6 months ago
