Trump needs to hand over the 5 million he promised to a charity of President Obama's choice.

But he won't. Because he's a man that doesn't honor his debts.

People know that Obama was not born in the USA. All the evidence over the years prove it. Trump knows it but has decided to try and put it to rest while campaigning. In theory if he agrees that Obama was born in USA, then there is no longer any point to keep picking on the subject.

I would love to see this "proof" you talk about. So... link please? tia

The insane candidacy of Trump and his followers have simply done away with facts. And honesty. And integrity. And shame....

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Michelle Obama (aka "America's Mom") noted from her experience yesterday:

The presidency doesn’t change who you are, it reveals who you are. The same thing is true of a presidential campaign. So if a candidate is erratic and threatening, if a candidate traffics in prejudice, fears, and lies on the trail, if a candidate has no clear plans to implement their goals, if they disrespect their fellow citizens – including folks who’ve made extraordinary sacrifices for our country – let me tell you: that is who they are. That is the kind of president they will be.

Trump's lies seem to be spreading like ... uh ... pneumonia? (I 'd be more worried about contracting Trumpian dishonesty than anything Clinton has.) Today, Reince Priebus had this to say about birtherism:

People get convicted every single day with circumstantial evidence that is enough to tip the scale. And by the preponderance of evidence before us, Hillary Clinton or her campaign were definitely involved in this issue. We can’t keep saying it’s not true. That’s ridiculous. It’s not fiction, it’s the truth.

Except that there is no circumstantial evidence that Hillary's campaign, much less Hillary, was ever involved in this sordid affair. Let's use a little logic here, Priebus: Particularly after Clinton had conceded the race to Obama in 2008, what benefit would there be for her or even her supporters to push this lie? And yet it wasn't until 2011, the year before the next election, that birtherism picked up steam - 100% due to Trump's championing of the of the lie.

So, no, Reince, you're wrong and you know it - the definition of a lie. BTW, Reince, how's your campaign going to get establishment-type GOPers on board with Trump? You've threatened to withhold support in 2020 from those hopefuls who do not fold and kiss Don's ring now (Cruz in particular). Lying like this is no good incentive; it will remind Cruz et al of the lies on which Trump's campaign is based and how apparent these will become once he's defeated in November, showing him to be bereft of all clothes except for a guise constructed entirely of lies. And Cruz will be there to pick up the pieces.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

So now we have lies to cover lies. It's getting quite Kafkaesque.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Trump should be embarrassed for his behavior and participation in the birther racism.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

commanteer, Trump partisans might wish that it just go away, and Trump himself might pretend that a blithe wave of the hand can suddenly erase five years of stubborn mendacity, but the real world, at least in America, doesn't work like that. (To quote Ty Webb from Caddyshack "This isn't Russia. Is this Russia? This isn't Russia." - well, not yet.) Trump's birther lies are important for many reasons: they demonstrate the systematic racism that underlies his campaign, they prove his glib dishonesty, they threaten to bring down yet more people.

For example, Chris Christie, once a White House hopeful and now hoping to stay out of jail (the Bridgegate trial, which may well result in charges against one of America's least-liked governors, starts tomorrow), has permitted himself to be used as a Trump attack dog presumably for future favors (these have been rapidly downsized from VP choice to Attorney General to now avoiding jail). His interview with Jake Trapper yesterday is priceless: Not only does it show that the press is finally learning not to swallow Trumpian lies, it shows the complete lack of substance Trump surrogate liars hold when called out. Here is the pertinent part of the interview:

JAKE TAPPER: “Well, just as a point of fact, again, Donald Trump did not accept when Barack Obama released his birth certificate in 2011. He kept up this whole birther thing until Friday. That’s five years. But we only have a little time left. So, I want to ask you…”

GOV. CHRIS CHRISTIE (R-N.J.): “No, but, Jake, that’s just not true. It’s not true that he kept it up for five years.”

TAPPER: “Sure, he did.”

CHRISTIE: “It’s simply not true.”

TAPPER: “It is true.”

CHRISTIE: “It wasn’t like he was talking — no, Jake, it wasn’t like — it wasn’t like he was talking about it on a regular basis until then.”

The Washington Post easily notes that Trump tweeted at least 40 times his birther suspicions in the five years between when Obama released his BC and this year, including accusations that the BC was fabricated and that the Hawaiian official who released it had been deliberately killed. That is certainly quite a noisy way to be quiet about it.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/09/18/christies-claim-that-trump-did-not-on-a-regular-basis-spout-birther-nonsense-after-2011/

Trump lies, and his lies are contagious - both the RNC Chairman Prebius and the Governor of New Jersey lied for him on one day, September 18. This subject is by no means over.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Politico has established that Trump lies all the time. He never tells the truth about anything. And for his followers who have been lied to for decades it does not matter. Truth does not matter. Facts do not matter. That is why you can see birther posts about Obama today, five years after Obama released his birth certificate. It is amazing how stupid and racist people can be, and when called on it they just get stupider. They cannot see Trump is a con man, just like they cannot see Fox news is pure propaganda (not to mention sexist hell hole but the Trump supporters do not know about that). This is how countries end up falling into oblivion. they rot away from the inside. Like Rome back in the day. The USA under Trump if it happens signals the end of the USA era of dominance. It is the greatest gift the USA can give to the Chinese who will step up to fill the vacuum created by a Trump Presidency. The USA could recover from the idiot Bush with his failed wars and near depression. Trump, that will push the country over the edge into third world status. There is absolutely no comparison at all to a Trump Presidency and a Clinton Presidency. None. People like Robert Gates, who served under Republicans and Democrats alike, know Trump is a disaster and far more dangerous that Clinton to the USA. But that is just more facts that the Trump people will not be able to understand. They vote based on who is the most deplorable and they know that is Trump.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Considering dramatic revelations disclosed recently regarding Obama's birthplace, it is only natural that Trump would alter his opinion (i.e., stop lying) to suit the facts.

Ha ha! There has been zero change in what we know of Obama's birth situation since he released his birth certificate in 2011 - five years ago! Yet something prompted Trump to completely fold at this particular moment - and it wasn't any respect for truth; it was necessity to end this particular lie. Could it be fear of facing Hillary in the debates bearing such an indefensible lie? Probable. He's afraid of being caught trying to defend a great lie that he cannot. This puts him in a conundrum: given that his entire campaign is built on lies, he cannot admit to even one, for it would be the brick removed that brings down his entire edifice.

No worries, thogh. He's got plenty of surrogate liars to ease his way with further lies. Christy is an example. (How's your reputation in your home state of Jersey, Christy? Anyone still trust you?)

6 ( +8 / -2 )

For half a decade, Trump was quick to take all the credit for the birther issue.

Once he saw he can't win on it, he's quick to blame it on somebody else, even falsely.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

All Trump had to do was say he doesn't believe in the birther issue anymore, but he made this recanting a bigger issue by blaming it on someone else, let alone on Hillary. It's like he's incapable of accepting when he's wrong, even when he is admitting it.

Reminds us of what some parents say to their kids:

"I may not always be right, but I am never wrong!"

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Serrano: I see Trump is up 28 points over Hillary in Bill's home state of Arkansas.

Something in your head should have said, "Maybe I should check New York before I post this."

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Donald Trump’s most prominent supporters insisted Sunday that he’s put the burden of “birtherism” behind him with his concession that President Barack Obama was born in the United States.

This sentence really expresses the racist aggression behind the idea that Obama wasn't born in America. Rather than acknowledging the truth, Trump has 'conceded' it. Like it's his, as a white American, to concede. Has anyone conceded that Trump is American? No, because he's American. But Obama doesn't get that same acknowledgement, it has to be conceded, because Obama is black, and has a 'funny name'.

How about anyone one of you die hard Hillary fans donate less than $100 USD to Clinton and see how long it takes until you get second or third charges on your account.

They've released a way to definitely protect yourself from this, you simply have to wrap your head in tinfoil, and they won't be able to add additional charges to your account.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

She called half of Trump’s supporters “deplorables”

But they are: Bundies, KKK, David Dukes, Aryans, and White Supremacists. And lots of these people rely on government checks but they criticize non whites who do.

He admitted that Obama was born in the US.

You Hillary haters still think Obama was born in Kenya.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Serrano: Or, Super, maybe you just can't bring yourself to believe that Trump can be leading qualified Hillary in any state by even 1 point.

I believe it. The US has a lot of people like you, the left behinds. Trump is offering you a promise of a better life with no effort on your part.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

...they . . . rejected any notion that Trump’s political identity is founded on five years of peddling the false rumor that Obama was born elsewhere.

Absolutely, Trump's political identity is based on tabloid rumor mongering. He's the Weekly World News personified and on steroids. He spreads manure as if it were the gospel truth, lets the rumor run its course among naive supporters too complacent and, yes, too blindingly, embarrasingly stupid to know any better, much less be able to apply any sort of logical thought processes necessary to sniff out the manure, and throws his hands up later when the truth finally tears free from layer upon layer of muck, and says, "Did I say that? What I meant was the opposite. My opponents actually said the thing you're accusing me of."

It's insane.

Who is Donald Trump really?

The fraud needs to release those taxes. Let America see yet again what a two-faced liar he's been from the very beginning.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Here is a little insight why everyone is starting to love Trump.

He is his own person. His instincts are excellent. He is a people person.

All of those things were true about Hitler as well. The point being that none of these means that someone will be a good leader.

Last night Hillary mentioned bombing, CNN reporter THAN QUESTIONED HER ABOUT TRUMPS USE OF THE WORD BOMBING!

Trump knew it was a bomb before anyone had announced it. By republican standards, that requires 4-5 years of inquiries wasting millions of dollars, when his comment in and of itself proves he was in on the bombing conspiracy, and anything that doesn't show that is definitive proof that he bought off and/or killed anyone who may show otherwise, on top of ensuring that the people in power made sure he wasn't caught for being part of the bombing plot.

By republican standards that is.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump has lied hundreds of times and still has supporters. If this really was a protest then people would vote third party Johnson or Stein. But they have vested in Trump. Any notion that USAers have a mental capacity above Trumps speech writing level is long gone. It's really pitiful

5 ( +5 / -0 )

So, should the Donald reveal his "source" now, as being unreliable? Who do you think it was? Spiro Agnew? Dan Quale? Ross Perot? John Mitchell? His barber?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

bass4funk

Do we really need more Democrat incompetence? Aren't Dems not tired of beating the birther issue? If Conservaties talk about Benghazi, you guys have a meltdown, talk about the birther issue, we need to talk about it as long as we can. Talking about beating a dead horse.... Give it up, the man acknowledged the guy was born in the US.

I doubt there are many 'Hillary supporters' on this forum since she is so unpopular everywhere. What we have here are two of the least possible presidential candidates ever.

Hillary's lack of popularity is largely due to rive misogyny in US culture and the fact she is not very likable or particularly trustworthy. Qualified? One of the most qualified presidential candidates EVER.

Trump is unpopular simply because he is an opportunities idiot with sociopathic tendencies and possible the LEAST qualified candidate ever. And by the way is also every bit and more dishonest than Hillary - he takes lying to a whole new art form!

And despite this, people like yourself choose Trump? And you wonder why people like me from other countries question the sanity of some of the American public.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

In a few more months, he won't have to.

Why is that? If he loses, he doesn't have to pay--don't recall that as being part of the bet, or even if he wins, which he won't, UNLESS te ISIS keeps on helping him with more "terrorism". Amazing how right-wingers will try to slide away from their bets. Heck, even if it was 5 dollars, he still wouldn't pay. No honor whatsoever!

SerranoSEP. 19, 2016 - 09:14AM JST I see Trump is up 28 points over Hillary in Bill's home state of Arkansas.

Arkansas is not Hillary's "home state". Winning Arkansas is no bellwether for if a candidate will win an election. We have this thing called the electoral college - candidates need a combination of votes from many states to win. So why did you even make this comment?

American voters are essentially holding two completely separate elections on the same ballot. Competition A is to vote for the person who has the most leadership experience and researched policies to be a stable and effective leader of the USA. That's the election Hillary wants to win. Competition B is a massive national sporting competition where if your team wins then you by extension are a good person and everyone who is different from you is a bad person, whereas if the other team wins, it's 4 years of darkness because "them" are on top and it's bad for "them" to be on top because "them" isn't "us."

All American politicians at least attempt to dip their toe into Competition B - it's why every candidate since the invention of mass media has been photographed bowling or eating some god-awful local fair specialty. It's why a big part of Bush Jr.'s victory in 2004 over John Kerry was attributed to the former being "a guy you could be comfortable having a beer with". Trump however is the first politician I've ever heard of to not even make a pretense effort toward winning Competition A. Even Bush Jr, one of the most disastrous Presidents in American history, at least thought he had a plan and that his plan mattered.

Posts like Serrano's above are squarely out of Competition B. They're just empty cheerleading.

StrangerlandSEP. 19, 2016 - 11:52AM JST This sentence really expresses the racist aggression behind the idea that Obama wasn't born in America. But Obama doesn't get that same acknowledgement, it has to be conceded, because Obama is black, and has a 'funny name'.

Excellently put.

And personally I don't think Trump's supporters ever will be able to put the racism of birtherism behind them because for them, it's not a bug, it's a feature. Trump has had one and only one strategy from the very start of his campaign - appeal to angry white bigots by telling them that the source of their anger is everyone who is different from them. This is why the American alt-right with their fixation on white nationalism adores him so. Trump is never going to win back the non-racists, so if he owned up to his BS promotion of birtherism there would be literally nothing about him to appeal to anyone. Birtherism is as much the Trump brand as tasteless gold paint and spray tans.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

How so? They had 50 years, go to any urban Black community, they might tell you a different story.

You talk as if the Democrats were in power for 50 years. I count 20 years since the '80s where the Republicans were in power. Pray tell, what did the Repulican party do for the black community during this time?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

@Bass

Why do you have to run to extremes? The rightist idiocy of Fox in comparison with the leftist idiocy of Daily Kos?

On the subject of extreme ideas, are you prepared to get off the fence and say Obama is not a Muslim?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Neither John McCain nor Mitt Romney were born in the US. (The former was Panama Canal Zone and the latter was Mexico.) The fact is, "native-born" means to be a US Citizen at the time of birth. Obama. like the two men he defeated in 2008 and 2012, was one simply by having an American mother. In other words, it doesn't matter where he was born. This whole debate is ludicrous to begin with and a total waste of time.

Thank you for that laugh. I sure needed it.

The episode reflects Trump’s penchant for spreading unsubstantiated claims when he stands to gain from them and his refusal to apologize or take responsibility when he’s been wrong.

Trump supporters have claimed he's just what the US needs because he's not a politician. But he's showing he's worse than the lowest of politicians. He's showing he's the worst of the worst the US has brought the world. He's showing his bottom-of-the-barrel-ness. He's showing he's another in the long line of slimy US businessmen huckstering quack remedies to a population that willingly turns over money they don't have to televangelists and pyramid scheme hawkers.

Trump's a master at marketing himself and his scams. His ability to manipulate the media and get them to sell his snake oil for him for free is another low for the US.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

we are not talking about Federal

Yes we are. Look at the conversation of the thread - in reply to a comment about Trump, who is running to become the president, and therefore federal, you made your comment about 50 years:

Trump is offering you a promise of a better life with no effort on your part.

How so? They had 50 years

And the you say this:

Tried to educate many of them through social programs about self-reliance and Entrepreneurship, which proved quite successful

Quantify successful please. Just saying it does not make it true.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

"The episode reflects Trump’s penchant for spreading unsubstantiated claims when he stands to gain from them and his refusal to apologize or take responsibility when he’s been wrong."

This summarises Republicans as a whole.

Serrano: "No, but one of the many issues that aren't going to go away and are damaging Hillary is her huuuuuuge mistake of revealing her true feelings with that awful basket of deplorables comment."

Quoted for truth.

People said a lot of the same sort of stuff about Regan back in the day, but Regan was a saint compared to Trump. We'd be lucky to have such a candidate on the Republican side these days.

I don't like Trump or trust him, but I would probably vote for him. There are millions like me, which is why the attacks on his character fail to shift support, and why all the Trump bashers get so frustrated - they are playing politics the obsolete way.

Commanteer, that is right! It goes to show also your complete lack of values and principles or insight. As he said, Trump could kill someone on camera, and it would STILL not stop you or millions for voting for him. Let me see, the excuse would be "oh, he was an undesirable." That would fix everything. No charges, not one second of jail time, nothing. And that is what is SO amazing that a guy with no specific plans, who knows nothing about the world's diplomacy or even GEOGRAPHY or political systems and had been bankrupted so many times HAS YOUR VOTE and will have your vote even if he goes out and kills people. (Which I think will happen if he is voted in--remarkable resemblance to that figure in Revelations.....oh.....what is his name....The AntiChrist. And you will vote for this sucker because the stock market isn't high enough for you and taxes could still be lower and because of that BLACK guy Obama!! Wow!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Politico has established that Trump lies all the time.

I'm not too worried about him winning. It will be good for the comedy business. I can't wait for Trump to build his 20 billion dollar wall. It will prove to be such a worthless solution when people simply use 20 dollar ladders that have worked well to go over walls for centuries. Even Trump admits this:

"There's no ladder going over that," Trump says about a 50-foot high wall. "If they ever get up there they're in trouble, 'cause there's no way to get down," Trump insists, then concedes, "Maybe a rope."

Trump is playing his followers for fools. Don't forget the last president who inked amnesty (Reagan, a Republican) and the next president to ink a big amnesty deal could be Trump.

If Trump becomes president I can't wait for him to pull all these 180s and make all his followers angry at him.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I haven't heard that too much on this site. The Obama is/could be a Muslim is more popular among the non-partisans here.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump's comment was to blame Hillary then congratulate himself. Both sides should be able to agree that he is being dishonest.

"Oh, the excuse would be, that person was an undesirable" and THAT would make it ALL GO AWAY! Wouldn't it. 2 ( +2 / -0 )

Yeah I can see why you'd want change, but most people don't understand why you'd choose him. Go get an outsider. Great. But you can't find someone less racist and more qualified? Why did you have to choose a clown as your outsider?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

commanteer at Sep. 19, 2016 - 08:35AM JST Facts, honesty, integrity and shame are just dead weights to almost all politicians. They don't exist in politics, especially US politics. But I'm glad some people still believe in Santa claus

Only to a certain extent, some of the time. But here we're talking the whole freaking movement, all of the time. From the shrieking Trump right down to the last deplorable in the trailor park.

This is one issue that isn't going to go away and is going to damage Trump. And so it should.

Now how about that 5 mill you promised Mr Trump?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

So how's Chicago doing? How are most of the Black cities doing? How about the other predominantly Black cities?

I'll accept your abandonment of your 50 year comments as acceptance that we were in fact speaking of federal government, and your claim that the demorcats have been in power 50 years was incorrect.

Now before I answer your questions, let's finish with our previous discussion first. Again I ask:

Tried to educate many of them through social programs about self-reliance and Entrepreneurship, which proved quite successful

Quantify successful please.

So how would you quantify your claims that the so-called social programs of the Republicans were 'quite successful'. You said they were proven so, so it should be fairly easy to show that proof.

the man has a history in creating SOMETHING

Bill Gates is much better then. And how about Trump vs. Gates in making a return on investments and creating employment?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yeah I can see why you'd want change, but most people don't understand why you'd choose him. Go get an outsider. Great. But you can't find someone less racist and more qualified? Why did you have to choose a clown as your outsider?

That's exactly it. That's one reason why Bernie was so appealing, was that he was pushing for change. And the idea of change is good, but Trump is horrible. With the decision between the current status quo (Hillary) or the current option of change (Trump), Hillary is the responsible decision.

That gives someone four years to come up with a viable option for change. Trump isn't viable. There's actually a good chance of him winning, but if you think people want change now, wait until he's been president for four years - then they'll really want change.

This may turn out as another Brexit.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Trump supporters could have thrown their weight behind Bernie. They exposed themselves when they didn't. Bernie fought for them more than Trump ever will. Plus he wasn't an idiot, racist, etc. Obviously they had no problem with his platform if they can accept one as unrealistic as Trump's.

This may turn out as another Brexit.

Yep. I've already seen my first, "what do the experts know?" post.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

You are the one who says People know that Obama was not born in the USA. not me.

Never said that. Your posts are pure bullshit. Whatever catches your emotions in the minute you write down. Here's a tip: grow some balls or brain cells, I think you need both.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Politico has established that Trump lies all the time.

And they also in the past have established that Hillary can't be trusted, now what?

He never tells the truth about anything.

Hillary has never been honest about anything, check her untrustworthy numbers.

And for his followers who have been lied to for decades it does not matter. Truth does not matter. Facts do not matter. That is why you can see birther posts about Obama today, five years after Obama released his birth certificate.

One reason why a lot of people even gave it though was how Obama was secretive about everything. This has been the most sneakiest admin. in history and there were a lot of questions about Obama that left gaps as pertaining to where he was born and where he went to school. If you want to blame anyone that STARTED this debacle, go back to HRC camp that started it in 2008, they lit the fuse on this, that's your source, good luck.

It is amazing how stupid and racist people can be, and when called on it they just get stupider. They cannot see Trump is a con man, just like they cannot see Fox news is pure propaganda (not to mention sexist hell hole but the Trump supporters do not know about that).

Hmmmm...if Fox were propaganda they wouldn't be where they are or have the viewership, we're not talking about a few hundred people or do you want to be like Hillary and insult or generalize millions of people. Had it not been for Fox, we would hear liberal one-sided talking points all day. I know libs hate confrontation or to be called on anything, 25 years ago, it was like that, I remember those days.

Maybe if the the Washington elite both parties wouldn't sell out to the big business corporations, we wouldn't have to worry about rotting away, maybe if the Dems would stop businesses from moving overseas, like Ford, Burger King, Pfizer and Allergen we wouldn't have to worry about the Chinese taking over!

The USA could recover from the idiot Bush with his failed wars and near depression. Trump, that will push the country over the edge into third world status.

So how will we recover when this Obama guy is gone, how are we going to pay for the 35 trillion dept. he's going to leave us and the overall deficit, the war in Syria the sluggish economy, the divided nation, I think we are past the edge. Obama gets to move in a plush mansion in sunny Hawaii and the rest of us can go and.....

There is absolutely no comparison at all to a Trump Presidency and a Clinton Presidency. None.

You are right about that. For many Americans judging from the polls would rather deal with a loudmouth than a woman that can't be trusted and has a history of trust issues.

People like Robert Gates, who served under Republicans and Democrats alike, know Trump is a disaster and far more dangerous that Clinton to the USA. But that is just more facts that the Trump people will not be able to understand. They vote based on who is the most deplorable and they know that is Trump.

As far as Gates is concerned that's one opinion and you also have Gen. Flyn that thinks the same about Hillary and this is a man that has seen combat, so it just depends who you choose to believe. Sure, you don't know what you will get with Trump as a man who is an outsider and not a professional politician, but with Hillary, you know exactly what you will get and that's more misery, more deception, more corruption, more cozying up to Wall st., more entitlements, more racial division, poverty and disparity, more corporate greed, more circumventing our civil rights. I don't think the country could handle another 4 years of that.

"Something in your head should have said, "Maybe I should check New York before I post this."

Or, Super, maybe you just can't bring yourself to believe that Trump can be leading qualified Hillary in any state by even 1 point.

This is interesting:"Clinton Leads Trump by only 3 Points in Rhode Island: Trump Ahead of Romney's Levels Everywhere" ( Youtuber Styxhexenhammer666 )

He's predicting a Trump victory and he's not a Trump fan, he's a libertarian disenchanted with Gary Johnson.

I know several life long Democrats who are voting for Trump.

Hillary's lack of popularity is largely due to rive misogyny in US culture and the fact she is not very likable or particularly trustworthy. Qualified? One of the most qualified presidential candidates EVER.

I vehemently disagree, we have more women in the workplace, more opportunities than most societies. Hillary is qualified as far as experience is concerned, but she is UN-qualified to be president based on her history and actions going back to the 90's to the present, just her knowing what her husband was doing with women during the time he was governor of AK is clear indication as to why she should never be trusted.

Trump is unpopular simply because he is an opportunities idiot with sociopathic tendencies and possible the LEAST qualified candidate ever. And by the way is also every bit and more dishonest than Hillary - he takes lying to a whole new art form!

Trump is a loudmouth, he's made mistakes, he can be unpredictable at times, I admit that, but also, the man has a history in creating SOMETHING and that is in the form of jobs, construction, hotels, casinos and other small businesses, something which cannot be denied. Trump is not a Washington insider and for too long Americans suffered under the greed of the Washington elite that never listened or cared or did anything for the people, both parties and especially this admin. millions of people are attracted to Trump because he says the things that most Americans want but can't and the man has excoriated the GOP and the Washington elite and good on him for doing so. The man destroyed 17 of the most powerful politicians out there and is in a very tight race between Hillary lagging between 2 to 3 points by most polls. So I would say, not bad for a man who never made a career before as a professional politician and that's his appeal, if he were that bad, he wouldn't be this close to Hillary in the polls.

And despite this, people like yourself choose Trump? And you wonder why people like me from other countries question the sanity of some of the American public.

It doesn't matter what other people think outside of the US, they don't live here and have to deal with the domestic problems we have to face day in and day out. Maybe from an outsiders POV Trump looks bad and Obama looks good, but living here, you quickly can see why the man is gaining in popularity and why the people are tired of the crushing politics of the typical self-centered Washington elites that care ONLY about themselves as well as their pockets and Hillary is one of those politicians.

The insane candidacy of Trump and his followers have simply done away with facts. And honesty. And integrity. And shame....

Facts, honesty, integrity and shame are just dead weights to almost all politicians. They don't exist in politics, especially US politics. But I'm glad some people still believe in Santa claus

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Trump supporters have claimed he's just what the US needs because he's not a politician. But he's showing he's worse than the lowest of politicians.

Oh, I seriously doubt that.

Naw, he's showing the Washington elite that the people are tired of the Status quo and the BS they have been shoving down our throats for decades.

Trump's a master at marketing himself and his scams. His ability to manipulate the media and get them to sell his snake oil for him for free is another low for the US.

Obama was brilliant in media manipulation as well and they sucked it all in, now you understand how the rest of us feel.

Thank you for reposting my post and offering no substantive challenge to it beyond empty FOXentertainment pap.

Other than the same liberal talking points that Trump is a danger, what else do you guys have? Anymore ThinkProgress or Daily Kos whiny gossip? I'm wondering what does Hillary have to offer besides cozying up to Wall Street and lining her pockets? Please elaborate.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

the left behinds. Trump is offering you a promise of a better life with no effort on your part.

How so? They had 50 years, go to any urban Black community, they might tell you a different story.

Nadaku I would love to see this "proof" you talk about. So... link please? tia------------------------------

If you really want to know, just search it. The evidence of bogus birth certificates has been proven by experts.

This is one issue that isn't going to go away and is going to damage Trump. And so it should.

It has already gone away, and the only people who care about it are those who are already committed against Trump. It seems the anti-Trump crowd will continue not to get why people support Trump right up until the election, which is good for Trump.

I don't like Trump or trust him, but I would probably vote for him. There are millions like me, which is why the attacks on his character fail to shift support, and why all the Trump bashers get so frustrated - they are playing politics the obsolete way.

Trump rising!!

Hillary falling (pun intended)

Long on Kleenex.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I see Trump is up 28 points over Hillary in Bill's home state of Arkansas.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

You talk as if the Democrats were in power for 50 years.

Sorry, but the president Republican or Democrat doesn't have jurisdiction over the individual states and the local branches, we are not talking about Federal. With the liberal Democratic counsel presiding over states like Chicago, Oakland and Los Angeles, they did nothing. So how is Rahm Emanuel doing as a major? I'm sure Blacks are just ecstatic about his magnificent leadership.

I count 20 years since the '80s where the Republicans were in power. Pray tell, what did the Repulican party do for the black community during this time?

Tried to educate many of them through social programs about self-reliance and Entrepreneurship, which proved quite successful, that is until the Dems got back into power and put the entitlement candy in front of them. Sad, very sad.

yawn

another non-issue. Is this all they got today on Trump? How about anyone one of you die hard Hillary fans donate less than $100 USD to Clinton and see how long it takes until you get second or third charges on your account. Wells Fargo will not do investigations into fraud unless the amount exceeds the amount of $100 USD. There is over thousands of complaints filed to the banks to the Clinton Campaign who likes to do multiple charges their poorest supporters. GO AHEAD! DONATE THE MINIMUM $25 AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!

Yes we are. Look at the conversation of the thread - in reply to a comment about Trump, who is running to become the president, and therefore federal, you made your comment about 50 years:

So how's Chicago doing? How are most of the Black cities doing? How about the other predominantly Black cities?

Do we really need more Democrat incompetence? Aren't Dems not tired of beating the birther issue? If Conservaties talk about Benghazi, you guys have a meltdown, talk about the birther issue, we need to talk about it as long as we can. Talking about beating a dead horse.... Give it up, the man acknowledged the guy was born in the US.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Trump should be embarrassed for his behavior and participation in the birther racism.

He admitted that Obama was born in the US. What more do you want? At this point an apology is not necessary, NOT because I don't think he should or shouldn't, but if it's not from the heart, then what point is it for him to feel bad about what he said or believed, it's not going to get him an extra 1000 votes. I think what's more important is that he acknowledged that the man was born in the US. Case closed and now time to move on.

Why is that? If he loses, he doesn't have to pay--don't recall that as being part of the bet, or even if he wins, which he won't,

Dunno, looking at the polls in the crucial Swing States and Hillary's constant bungling and coughing fits and weave and dodging the email and server questions, it's not looking that great for her. If Hillary was a 100% winner, Trump and her wouldn't be so close-period. Some areas, he's slightly ahead, so before I bring out the party poppers and balloons, I would wait before serving that cake and ice cream, it just might go bad and melt away.

UNLESS te ISIS keeps on helping him with more "terrorism". Amazing how right-wingers will try to slide away from their bets. Heck, even if it was 5 dollars, he still wouldn't pay. No honor whatsoever!

Libs are the last person to speak about honor! This generation of liberals are the sneakiest bunch to ever grace the halls of the White House. Pathetic!

"This is one issue that isn't going to go away and is going to damage Trump"

No, but one of the many issues that aren't going to go away and are damaging Hillary is her huuuuuuge mistake of revealing her true feelings with that awful basket of deplorables comment. "Proud Member of the Basket of Deplorables" T-shirts are selling like crazy on Amazon, ha ha, lol.

Trump needs to hand over the 5 million he promised to a charity of President Obama's choice.

But he won't. Because he's a man that doesn't honor his debts.

In a few more months, he won't have to.

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

People know that Obama was not born in the USA. All the evidence over the years prove it. Trump knows it but has decided to try and put it to rest while campaigning. In theory if he agrees that Obama was born in USA, then there is no longer any point to keep picking on the subject.
