Stay classy America...

The twitter president, all talk and absolutely zero class.

22 ( +30 / -8 )

the president wants to "make America white again."

It never was. Trump's clearly pointing out 'thems', 'others', another 'enemy' group to add to his ever-lengthening lists that include Democrats, 'liberals' and others real and imagined in an appeal once again to his white nationalist base.

Trump, his enablers and those in his base are doing whatever they can to further divide a long-divided nation in their attempts to further undermine US systems.

But then within Trump's base are those who claim to have more in common with Russians than their neighbors, and wear T-shirts saying 'I'd rather be Russian than Democrat'.

20 ( +23 / -3 )

"So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all),

Trump has set America back generations! He is a racist, senile, fool. He fears what he can not understand, and sadly there are far too many in the US that are like him as well.

Seems like you are one of them too!

24 ( +28 / -4 )

To paraphrase Richard Harris as Marcus Aurelius... "There was once a dream that was America. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish... it was so fragile. And I fear that it will not survive the Trump Administration."

14 ( +17 / -3 )

You can’t return to your country when you are already living in your country and have not left. They are American. As American as Trump or anyone else that isn’t Native American. Also, if you read the article, it clearly says all his targets but one were born in the US.

I don’t believe anyone has misrepresented Trump. Trump consistently and properly represents himself.

23 ( +25 / -2 )

What a jerk! What a disgrace! I always thought it couldn't get worse, he has proven once again the opposite.

19 ( +24 / -5 )

"So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries

I highly doubt Trump wrote this - his language skills aren't that good. Ten to one it was Little Stephen Miller, Trump's Goering/Goebbels once again fanning flames while Trump's on one of his golf courses (all expenses paid by US taxpayers) or looking out for his business interests. What a repulsive regime.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

As a Trump hater who actually agreed with that sentiment many times, not this time. The quotes are clear.

I will however insist everyone stop calling it racism. Its bigotry, not racism. Also, these women are better described as ethnic minorities rather than women of color. Trump has really shown his true colors this time. He should go back to Germany....circa 1930s.

I will also add, of all these countries the Dumpster is criticizing, how many have been or are being bombed or otherwise meddled with by the U.S.? There are a lot of Americans who like to exclaim "But you can't walk!" after our goon squad has kneecapped them. I swear my country is half troll.

8 ( +14 / -6 )

@fizzbit Oh the triggering is going to be strong and long with this warped storyline.

Again, nothing to add to the discussion. But then if a GoTrumper defends what their messiah said, they'd clearly be outed as a white nationalist instead of wearing their hoods and hiding behind the usual dog whistles.

12 ( +15 / -3 )

This is what Trump said.

How does that make it any better?

You realize he just told them to go out into the US, then come back to Congress and tell them how crime infested it is, right?

7 ( +11 / -4 )

"make America white again."

It never has been. The worst thing that happened to it was the white people.

6 ( +13 / -7 )

I can't believe he would say that. He is once again shooting himself in the foot and needlessly involving himself in yet another scandal that he doesn't need.

On the other hand, the Democrats and their obsession with Race isn't helping either.

I am certain this has nothing to do with being White or Brown, this is about ideology. The exact same anti-immigration rhetoric was used again White Europeans long that long ago. Read the book "The Guarded Gate: Bigotry, Eugenics and the Law That Kept Two Generations of Jews, Italians, and Other European Immigrants Out of America". Irish, Italians, Poles and others were treated the same way Latino people are treated today.

Also, people like Trump have a very present-based view of history. Why does he think millions upon millions of Europeans immigrated to America? At one point, it is estimated that almost half the population of Sweden immigrated to America - why? Because Sweden was a corrupt, poor and backward, probably crime-infested S-hole. The first Irish immigration wave was sparked by the Irish famine crisis. Millions of dirt poor, uneducated Irish with no shoes on their feet immigrated to America. Many of them were exploited by what was known as the Political Machines of the late 19th century. They were organized by party people, given jobs in exchange for votes. Sounds very familiar.

Many of these newcomers became politicians, many of their children also became politicians. I would imagine somebody back then was thinking - why don't you go back to Sweden to fix your country fist before ruining America with your policies?

I am really disappointed Trump would say that, but i am also irritated at the constant Race obsession by the Democrats. Not everything is about Race. If people were coming from Canada, and if Canada were poor, i would imagine there would be a lot of anti-Canadian talk too.

Trump needs to stop giving his opponents ammunition especially when the economy is barely functioning.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

His fans will support this.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

It never has been. The worst thing that happened to it was the white people.

A failure of the education system.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

His fans will support this.

They already are.

A failure of the education system.

Tell that to the natives.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

He's pandering to his base more than anything, I feel like. They love this kind of stuff. It's what got him elected.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

but she's not one of us.

I was born, raised and lived half my life in the US and have never understood what 'one of us' might mean.

Which us-es (sic) are you talking about?

The numerous and varied church groups - of every ethnicity - that spend almost all their time and money within their own communities?

The country club rich who spend almost all their time and money within their own communities?

The sports clubs that spend almost all their time and money within their own communities?

The various other groups of all sorts that that spend almost all their time and money within their own communities?

I have zero desire to go to a NASCAR race; does that mean I'm not 'one of us'? Something about freedom of choice.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

"Trump needs to stop giving his opponents ammunition especially when the economy is barely functioning."

Unfortunately, Trump is giving "ammunition" to his white supremacy supporters. Also unfortunately these white bigots have crawled out from under the pavement and entered the mainstream. No doubt these bigots are cheering Trump's latest ignorant remark.

Native born Americans cannot "go back to their own countries." Their only "own country" is the U.S. This is logic that a three year old can understand. It is even simple for Trump to understand. No, Trump is not shooting himself in the foot. He is digging up the worst racist and nativist tendencies that the U.S. has ever known. It is his ace in the hole after he has screwed his followers with his economic policies. A screwed bigot is still a happy bigot when his leader spews bigotry.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Just delete my account already-- you fascists.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

The statement was indeed sadly inappropriately and stated without consideration of facts, situation and possible impact and consequences. Although the intent and purpose of his statement relates to many issues the nation and Congress faces today, regarding immigration, citizenship and even going as far as nationalism.

Currently, the entire nation's "identity" and "value" as a nation and a country is at stake. There are much "doubt" as to the "loyalty" to the country and its people and "responsiblity" and "integrity" of many of those in political as well as powerful positions all over the USA, from billionaires to simple government workers. Many actually not only "apologize" for being a country where everyone want to come and enter the country to "reap" its benefits, but also for being so because of "ancestry" or "history" or the mix of races or of some better off than others.

However, it places some insight and gives perspective on really, "Who are our political leaders?" "Who do they represent? " "For whose BENEFIT are they working?" And it opened up the final question.., "Are they really American..?"

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It's definitely a condemnation on a society when they are accusing each other members of that society of being lesser members of that society, purely by virtue of their lineage. It's an even bigger condemnation on said society that people don't even recognize the problem with it.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

This guy is president of the U.S.A? Really? Chosen by the majority? That could be forgiven, but WHY is he still there?

10 ( +11 / -1 )

@kazetsukai "Are they really American..?"

Like the Mennonites, polygamist Mormons among other religious groups that have long lived separately from 'general' populations? How about the Hopis and other native peoples living on reservations (in their case within a reservation) at a remove from 'general' communities, but still able to hold US passports? How about those holding US in addition to other nation's passports? To me they're no more or less American than any other American citizen.

If an American citizen opts to not be proud of his country or not to identify as an American, they should still be free to do so. Revise your US history, back to the earliest settlement days. Look at all of the American citizens involved in what some claim has been anti-American movements. Even the Trump movement, which to me is as anti-American as any I've seen, has its rights.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Crime infested place? Like his administration?

Since three of the four Members of Congress were born in the USA, I actually have to agree that the current government of their native country, the Trump administration, is "a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world"

13 ( +14 / -1 )

I don’t see how Trump fans can defend this one. Maybe play the “real story is liberal hypocrisy” angle?

13 ( +13 / -0 )

@SuperLib - I would agree with you. What Trump did (given the fact he is the President of the U.S.) is not defensible. It is irresponsible and immature.

I am liberal but I am not a fan of Omar either (it has nothing to do with the color of her skin nor her religion). However she is a duly elected member of the U.S. Congress. If Trump expects respect from Congress then he needs to reciprocate.

I have always thought someone should take Trump's access to Twitter away. What he wrote, coming from a President, is way over the top and as you said - indefensible.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

I have never understood or accept the American use of the term "people of color". I find that racist in itself because it does not cover all races just blacks and maybe like Indians.

We are all people of color, so if it does cover all people then it's a nonsense statement.

Most blacks are not black, and most whites are not white.

To distinguish people by the color is racist.

The people in the post are elected representatives and represent their voters and others from their areas. They are free to express whatever they wish since its in the constitution and Trump is once again trying to stop people expressing their rights.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

FoxNews.com is printing quotes saying Pelosi’s “attacks” on these women “paved the way” for Trump’s comments.

Its a thin angle, but they just need people to repeat it. They can conflate a political attack with a racist attack by saying both Pelosi and Trump have “attacked” these women.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Very sad. No one, especially not the POTUS should be saying these things. It’s definitely not only a 1-sided problem. America’s always been torn. It seems more now than before, or is it just appearances? A prayer for oneness and harmony.

We are fixing our country. Economy, immigration, military.

-22 ( +4 / -26 )

We are fixing our country. Economy, immigration, military.

No, you're commenting on a website. Illusions of grandeur. Seek help.

16 ( +19 / -3 )

No amount of spin can disguise his latest racist attack. If I said Trump should go back to Germany, I'd be castigated for such an ignorant remark.

It's a trashy, stupid and bigoted thing to say. One wonders if this is the nadir of his presidency, or are there worse depths to sink to?

10 ( +14 / -4 )

We are fixing our country. Economy, immigration, military.

No, you're breaking it by undermining the economy (same thing that led to the collapse in 2008), stifling immigration, and starting new wars.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

I feel like this, let's look at Omar's comments about Israel our closest ally over the last 6 months and saying anti-Semitic comments about jews and being so wrong on many of the issues she talks about. She came from a violent country, survived civil war, lived in a refugee camp and was later allowed to enter the US, get an education become part of this great nation as was able to arise to the level of a Congresswoman to be allowed to serve in the House of Representatives, she is lucky and she was deeply blessed, but she constantly demonizes the country that saved her and her family, it's no wonder she's receiving a lot of hateful comments from a lot of people because of the incendiary things she says and it's her choice if she doesn't want to back down, but then she and the Democrats shouldn't say anything when the President expresses his first amendment to make his points. Some people may take it as a racist insult and some may not, but there are millions of immigrants that come to this country and are happy and proud to live and call US their home, but listening to Omar and her constant attacks on the country and how she continuously demonizes it, the country that gave her everything doesn't sit well with a lot of people. So she and the gang of 4 as well as many liberals think that we shouldn't have borders and everyone should be allowed in if they want. I vehemently disagree. If you want to come to this country, you are always welcome, but you need to do it legally, that's the only way, nothing racist or incendiary about it. But because you believe in the rule of law and calling people racists that are doing their best to keep this country safe doesn't support  the open borders argument, it actually and deeply undermines it.

-16 ( +7 / -23 )

"So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe..."

There is no mistaking what is said.

This is beyond the pale.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Economy is great, stifling ILLEGAL immigration and wiped out ISIS so we aren’t at war.

-17 ( +3 / -20 )

The fascist ideologues have deleted all my comments and left 2 that have absolutely nothing to do with the article. Trump was right: the media are biased. Ilhan is not an american--only on paper, and the mods are racists who think blacks are stupid. They allow people to degrade white people over history, call non whites the racist epithet people of color, and support any comments that go against Trump. The "squad" are anti-american fascists who need to be voted out of office asap. The mods here are racists and stupid.

-19 ( +3 / -22 )

No amount of spin can disguise his latest racist attack.

White liberals are racist. And so are anarcho-syndicalists.

-18 ( +3 / -21 )

I wonder if Americans realise the effect of this bumbling fool. You voted this guy in. You must be in agreement with him. Therefore, we think, the majority of Americans are also bumbling fools. Low in intelligence and unaware of the environment about them, greedy and only thinking of themselves.

The damage done to American PR by this idiot, and by GW and his trainer Cheney is MASSIVE.

The only people to whom the U.S.A. is an attractive place to live are Central Americans, which doesn't say much for their own countries.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

No amount of spin can disguise his latest racist attack.

Where was it where he denigrated her race in all sincerity. I know liberals are trying very hard to make this a racist attack, they’ll fail as they always do, especially if you compare it to the things she’s said in the past, but if you can find or show me that he is racially attacking her....

If I said Trump should go back to Germany, I'd be castigated for such an ignorant remark.

Why? If that’s where the person came from. Nothing wrong or racist in telling someone to go back to where they came from, now if a racial and antagonistic component is added with hidden malice behind it, that’s a different story.

It's a trashy, stupid and bigoted thing to say.

Hmmmm...she’s said worse.

One wonders if this is the nadir of his presidency, or are there worse depths to sink to?

A lot of us feel like that about this new brand of so called Democrats.

-22 ( +2 / -24 )

It's a trashy, stupid and bigoted thing to say. One wonders if this is the nadir of his presidency, or are there worse depths to sink to?

Probably the nadir because most likely he'll win 2020. You know why Trump doesn't need glasses? He's got 2020.

-17 ( +3 / -20 )

Economy is great,

Its been great for awhile. Fun fact: the economy gained more jobs, AND the stock market increased more under Obama than Trump.

stifling ILLEGAL immigration

Again, Obama Trump's Trump.

and wiped out ISIS so we aren’t at war.

According to who? Not the generals. Not the service members still over there.

16 ( +17 / -1 )

bass: I feel like this, let's look at Omar's comments

So bass isn't touching Trump's comments.

blacklabel: Economy is great, stifling ILLEGAL immigration and wiped out ISIS so we aren’t at war.

Not sure what black is doing. He just walked into a discussion of Trump's racist comments and said the economy is good. Alrighty.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

and wiped out ISIS so we aren’t at war.

40,000 American troops are still in Afghanistan, America's longest war.

Where was it where he denigrated her race in all sincerity.

When using the term "congresswomen of color!"

I feel like this, let's look at Omar's comments about Israel our closest ally over the last 6 months and saying anti-Semitic comments about jews and being so wrong on many of the issues she talks about.

Last week Jared Kushner made very racist remarks about the Palestinians when they rejected his proposals.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

I feel like this, let's look at Omar's comments about Israel our closest ally over the last 6 months and saying anti-Semitic comments about jews and being so wrong on many of the issues she talks about.

The old 'it's ok that Trump is a bigot, because we're saying this woman is bigoted too' argument.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

I feel like this, let's look at Omar's comments about Israel our closest ally over the last 6 months and saying anti-Semitic comments about jews

I agree with her criticisms of Israel and so do many Jews. As for anti-semitic comments I am going to have call BS. Without a quote it just smells like another lame attempt to play the anti-semite card.

By the way, Canada or Great Britain would easily qualify as our closest ally over Israel. Israel is like the friend you often wish you didn't have.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

Its been great for awhile. Fun fact: the economy gained more jobs, AND the stock market increased more under Obama than Trump.

No economist believes that, but I know liberals do. Keep hope alive. Lol

Again, Obama Trump's Trump.

But never tried to seal the border.

According to who? Not the generals. Not the service members still over there.

Definitely didn’t like the military.

So bass isn't touching Trump's comments.

I already did.

Not sure what black is doing. He just walked into a discussion of Trump's racist comments and said the economy is good. Alrighty.

Racist? How?

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

I feel like this, let's look at Omar's comments about Israel our closest ally over the last 6 months

Israel is like a friend constantly in need and America pays up every year with little in return. America's greatest allies are the two with the greatest trading accounts, Canada and Mexico. What is the trade with Israel worth?

11 ( +12 / -1 )

I wonder if Americans realise the effect of this bumbling fool. You voted this guy in.

Thankfully.

You must be in agreement with him. Therefore, we think, the majority of Americans are also bumbling fools.

Yeah, but Europe has been thinking that for a very, very long time, even before the Revolutionary War, so we’re used to it. Nothing new.

Low in intelligence and unaware of the environment about them, greedy and only thinking of themselves.

Funny and the intelligent people brought nothing to the masses, they didn’t cure cancer, hunger, disease, racial conflict, they certainly didn’t end any wars or stopped genocide or fixed income inequality with all their so called intelligence, none of the big wigs in Silicone Valley have or others around the world. Not only regulated to the US. That’s why this President is an anti-Globalst.

The damage done to American PR by this idiot, and by GW and his trainer Cheney is MASSIVE.

Hmmmm...I would say the last 7 years of economic stagnation was worse.

The only people to whom the U.S.A. is an attractive place to live are Central Americans, which doesn't say much for their own countries.

But they still want the USD, the technology, properties, Hollywood, military equipment all the cool trinkets that help beef up their economies and allows them to continue to enjoy their massive entitlements, while we do the rest.

-19 ( +0 / -19 )

Yesterday I said Trump was a racist for his demonetization of immigrants and his supporters here all jumped to his defense. They didn't offer any facts showing he wasn't racist - they just said he wasn't or deflected to another topic - mostly "But what about Obama..." One of his supporters said we should round up illegal immigrants like cattle.

But today we have more evidence - again in black and white - that Trump is nothing but a depraved racist.

Typical of Trump, he's doing this for three reasons;

To inflame and incite his racist base - they love this fifth - just look at the comments here.

To goad the Dems to proceed with impeachment - he loves being the victim and playing the martyr, and he knows this will motivate his base.

To again deflect from bad news - his Labor Sec had to leave for supporting a sweetheart deal for a child molester and as Epstein's investigation continues they'll be more links to Trump. And then we have Mr Mueller coming to Congress this week...

What I'm interested in seeing how low are Mitch, Lindsey, Ted, and the rest of the spineless Repubs willing to go. Will they overlook this one too? My guess is yes - after Amash, all the Repub spines have left the building...

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Israel is like a friend constantly in need and America pays up every year with little in return. America's greatest allies are the two with the greatest trading accounts, Canada and Mexico. What is the trade with Israel worth?

Garbage! If Mexico were a real friend we wouldn’t be in this humanitarian crisis. Being a trade partner doesn’t make you a true ally. Israel has always been there and we will always be there for them.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

As if Trump's racism needs further pointing out, he adds an exclamation to it with this tweet. Well done, Trump! And his supporters are every bit as racist and white supremacist as he is if they put up with it. He has proven that if you are not, you are not part of his America.

bass4funk: "Garbage! If Mexico were a real friend we wouldn’t be in this humanitarian crisis."

Trump created the crisis, as illegal immigration has gone up EXPONENTIALLY under his reign.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

The man is a total disgrace. Still not fit for office and proving it at every turn.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

bass4funk: "Where was it where he denigrated her race in all sincerity. Who is "her"? He clearly said "they" and "CongressWOMEN", not "she" or "woman". But don't take my word for it :

"So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen..."

"Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done."

So, which is it? He is incapable of using language correctly? He's inherently racist? Or you guys are spinning it because you are as well and think he is correct?

11 ( +13 / -2 )

If only his few remaining brain cells that haven't been damaged from years of hair bleaching could think logically before his silly sausage fingers typed out his vile tweets.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Does my memory fail me , or didn't America once belong to the brown people (one of the colors Trump hates) before white people came and stole America from them. Then, didn't they steal the black people from their countries of origin to help those slave owners become so rich and powerful, then lets not forget the yellow people that built the railroads across America for the rich railroad barons , rather ironic that history seems to fail most Americans, especially those white supremacists. So please explain why so called white Americans think America is theirs. Except when they want to recruit for the military, do those jobs so called white Americans won't do, then color doesn't seem to be an issue. Trump is a disgrace to all Americans, use the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office for this type of rhetoric, . All across America people are working to solve the racial problems and yet Trump is stoking the fire and the white nationalists. All Americans should be ashamed today for having a racist as a president.

'Fox & Friends' Hosts Fawn Over Trump's Racist Rant Against Dem Congresswomen"

https://news.yahoo.com/fox-and-friends-trump-tweets-163246148.html

“This is real life,” Piro said. “This isn’t social media, just having fun, trying to, you know, rile people up. This is real life. The words you say have real-life consequences. And I think that needs to be taken into consideration."

It is almost as of they have never heard a single Trump tweet ever.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

The bar for presidential conduct has sunk to its nadir as Trump adds one more disgraceful outburst to the mountain of dross that will ultimately be housed in "Trump Twitter", the tiny Presidential Library that will stand as a blot on the landscape and as a mark of shame memorializing the political immaturity of "Homo Americanus".

I can’t see how Trump’s comments are going to help him in 2020. And if they do, America is screwed.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Trump messed up in that only Omar came to the US from a foreign country. If he had just attacked her, he would be right.

The narrative that Trump and Pelosi are racist for calling the "squad" out is so easy to see through, though. There are 47 women of color in Congress; Trump and Pelosi have a problem with 4 of them. It's not their skin color, it's their far left policies.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the president wants to "make America white again."

America was never white to start with

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Joe Blow: "There are 47 women of color in Congress; Trump and Pelosi have a problem with 4 of them. It's not their skin color, it's their far left policies."

For Pelosi, yes. She is angry at these women because they are calling her out for not doing her job when she thinks she is a master legislator. For Trump, no. He uses the far-left policies, though, as an excuse to push his racist agenda, of course. Honestly, you admit yourself he made a mistake with his tweet, no? It wasn't a mistake, though you call it that; a Freudian slip AT BEST. He didn't "mess up", he literally thinks that if you don't agree with him, you are not "American" and not "patriotic", especially if not white. That's all there is to it. He is a racist, and a misogynist to boot.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

I can’t see how Trump’s comments are going to help him in 2020. And if they do, America is screwed.

I always said Trump would make this election about race. This is just the beginning.

And yes, these comments do work. Look at Steve King in Iowa. It plays well with the heartland where they have oversized electoral college votes.

Plus, we have this problem:

Trump's incredible shrinking GOP

Based on NBC News–Wall Street Journal data, whites without college degrees now comprise an outright majority of all people who identify as Republicans.

Once again, the gap comes down to white men without a college degree: 66 percent of them voted for the GOP in the 2018 midterms.

America was never white to start with

People trying to make clever sound byte quips often unintentionally damage the accuracy of their message. Trump wants to make America White Anglo-Saxon Protestant DOMINATED again, although I feel the need to de-emphasize "White". I don't think he cares about skin color so long as you sing the "approved" tunes, wear the "right" clothes, and kiss the "right" butts.

President Trump: Ladies and gentlemen, I have signed an Executive Order today....

Effective tonight, anyone in Congress who criticizes, makes fun of, ridicules, or doesn't kiss my ring, must leave the country immediately and return to their country of origin...

Reporter: Mr President, we have several members who are Native-Americans...

Well, they can go back to their country of "Native" - just like Chinese-Americans or African-Americans. I don't know where Native is, but they have to go...

I wonder if Senator Daniel Inoue, a war hero, born in Hawaii, who served his country with honor for over 50 years, was still alive and criticizing this President. I wonder if Donnie would say; "Go back to Japan!"....

After thinking it over, I'm sure he would...and you have to know his supporters would agree with him...

That's how depraved Trump and his supporters are...

Serrano: "Especially Ilhan Omar - she has made so many statements putting down the U.S. she obviously has no appreciation for what she has here."

More drivel. She has put down certain institutions that are failing. I've heard you put down the US more since your initial handle (and the two since) than she has ever said. You stand behind a man who is himself a descendent of immigrants (though he seems to forget where his father was born), and his racist polices, and claim yourself to be an American when even YOUR ancestors immigrated at some point. Yet you complain constantly about things you don't like in your nation, don't you? Maybe you should take your presidents advice and "go back" -- doesn't matter that you were born here because he said that to the other Congresswomen who were born here, too.

"She should be deported back to Somalia where she'll quickly gain appreciation for what she had."

No, she has every right, as an American, to complain about the unjust as you do.

AOC is a lunatic, claiming the overwhelmed detention facilities at the border are concentration camps. They wouldn't be overwhelmed if the Democrats weren't opposing efforts at building a wall and offering free health care to anyone who makes it across.

Where was it where he denigrated her race in all sincerity....you can find or show me that he is racially attacking her....

I think it would be more interesting to see how you interpret the tweets.

To me he clearly attached 'them' (not her, THEM) on the basis of their race. Trump specifically isolated all parts of the debate, and instead hone in on the congress women's ethnicity, in the process slandering 3 of them, ie suggesting they were born overseas.

Trump has been very good at milking his base, but IMHO, a large proportion of his base will now think twice when he says 'I'm not racist'. If anyone gave Trump the benefit of doubt, it would be taken back now. White Americans in particular would like to be seen as patriotic NOT racist.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

So it’s now acceptable to tell people you disagree with to go back to where they from, adding that where they come from are crime-filled hellholes.

I think Trump supporters should try that at work. If there is any trouble, talk about liberals being the true racists and tell them that the company is doing well financially because of your genius. If that doesn’t do the job, just tell them you were trolling.

Give it a go and drop us a quick post to let us know how it went.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

No, she has every right, as an American, to complain

Yeah, and what ticks me and millions of other Americans off is she doesn't appreciate that right.

Trump's new slogan: Make America Divided (aka Make America MAD).

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Nothing better than seeing a Master Troll in action.

He didn't name names or races or countries, just left it up to those who feel close to the tweet to respond. Also puts the Democrats in the uncomfortable position of having to defend some of the more radical/crazy/ignorant members of their party. It keeps them in the spotlight. It deflects attention from the older and more mainstream Democrats like Pelosi or Schumer.

Brilliant.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Nothing better than seeing a Master Troll in action.

I suppose you can admire good trolling and Trump is good at it, but the core principle here is toxic.

Telling US citizens to go back to where they came from?

You would think that, but it's not like he has suddenly shown a side of him we haven't seen before. Anyone who is still with him at this point isn't going to be put off by this.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Also puts the Democrats in the uncomfortable position of having to defend some of the more radical/crazy/ignorant members of their party.

Heh, projection innit, in a thread where you have people defending the radical and ignorant comments by your leader.

Trump's feral intelligence grasps, as perhaps no other U.S. politician, that the road to the White House demands being the constant center of attention. And the media obliges him. Right or wrong, moral or immoral, smart or dumb, sensible or irrational don't really matter in his Brave New World.

Telling US citizens to go back to where they came from?

Would that include his wife Melania and her parents?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Stranger: first, he isn't "my leader". He is the President of the United States. Second, his comments were neither radical nor ignorant. Even the leader of the Democratic Party doesn't agree with the positions taken by these progressives. If anyone is radical, it is them. The longer that Trump can keep the focus of the country on the new and radical wing of the Democrats, and further the idea that the Democratic Party is drifting leftwards rapidly, the greater his chance of re-election.

Brilliant.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

"So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run," he said in tweets.

Mr President, when you describe a country as "corrupt and inept", you're describing countries headed by two of your favorite "buds". You have a bromance with Vladimir Putin, even after he attacks our democracy, and exchange "love letters" with Kim the Killer.

Since you admire those two leaders so much, why don't you just go live there - you already promised Vlad you'd build him a Penthouse in Trump Tower Moscow - build one for yourself the next floor down...

And make sure you build your Tower in Pyongyang high enough so you can see the public executions.

Just leave the US so we can start healing our country from your corrupt, hate-filled reign....

Anyway, when Trump has accomplished getting members of Congress to go back to where they’re from, I expect he’ll get right on having his mother’s remains dug up and sent back to Ireland for reburial at his golf course, as well as getting two of his three wives deported back to wherever they were from, Communist cesspools I think they were.

I always said Trump would make this election about race.

Trump never did, the Democrats have since the last administration always used the race card like a credit card to use at any given time or to defeat any dissenting argument of any opposition to their out of control liberal policies.

This is just the beginning.

I’ll say.

And yes, these comments do work. Look at Steve King in Iowa.

Look at Northam and his comments and yet, he’s still somehow able to stay in office.

It plays well with the heartland where they have oversized electoral college votes.

As the race issue does for the Democrats.

Plus, we have this problem:

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Second, his comments were neither radical nor ignorant.

They were both radical and ignorant. The thing is, some people love the president being "a troll", and therefore such comments, radical and ignorant as they are, are loved by troll-lovers.

Even the leader of the Democratic Party doesn't agree with the positions taken by these progressives. If anyone is radical, it is them.

No.

The longer that Trump can keep the focus of the country on the new and radical wing of the Democrats, and further the idea that the Democratic Party is drifting leftwards rapidly, the greater his chance of re-election.

Maybe. Between the gerrymandering and the electoral college, it's very possible he will win again.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I always said Trump would make this election about race.

.

Trump never did

You know, other than singling out a group of Americans by the color of their skin, and telling them to go back to some country that he imagines they are from based on the color of their skin.

That people is what the Trumpets consider 'not making it about race'.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Fake news. Trump did not use, any words like "of color" or imply any sort if racism. The women in question have themselves made extremely bigoted and racists remarks, one appears to have committed fraud to get her brother a visa and both have called for laws and actions which are not part of the American culture or law. So saying if those two hate America, and love their former countries so much, evidenced by their own words, then suggestion they go back is a legitimate suggestion. Kind of sad two bigoted women can spew their hate but the media and left wing try to pin their hate on someone else.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Pity the poor "First Immigrant", Melania, who has to listen to her spouse's habitual anti-immigrant invective. And what do her parents, themselves immigrants to Trumplandia, feel about their son-in-law's threats to send them all back to Ruritania? At least Melania might soon be up for a humanitarian deportation to escape the looping loony tunes she hears every day from ol' potty mouth.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Why is she a lunatic the Japanese lived in concentration camps in the US?

Which was terribly wrong, but at the time we didn’t know if the Japanese Americans were loyal citizens and could be trusted or not and it was definitely a mystic thing to do no doubt about and for the main reason, they were American citizens, not illegal foreigners.

Maybe. Between the gerrymandering,

Both sides do it.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Fake news. Trump did not use, any words like "of color" or imply any sort if racism.

Yeah! Get it right people. He only told some Americans to go back to their countries based on the color of their skin. Discriminating against people based on the color of their skin is NOT racist people. Deciding people are lesser Americans based on the color of their skin is NOT racist, because he didn't use the words "people of color".

How can you people not understand it would only be racist if he used the words "people of color"?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

So saying if those two hate America, and love their former countries so much

They're American born. They don't have "former countries".

Is that a PR slogan?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Pity the poor "First Immigrant", Melania, who has to listen to her spouse's habitual anti-immigrant invective.

If there's one thing this site has shown it's that cross-migrant sympathy is pretty limited in this world. More often it's the "quick I'm in, shut the gate" attitude.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Why is she a lunatic the Japanese lived in concentration camps in the US?

That was WW2, has nothing to do with the border detention camps, Silvafan.

You're not doing a very good job of educating, Educator60. Let me help you out with that -

Freedom of speech, and bypass the biased media.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Fake news. Trump did not use, any words like "of color" or imply any sort if racism.

Yeah, but come on, you know liberals will definitely run with that bone to try and make it a racial issue.

The women in question have themselves made extremely bigoted and racists remarks, one appears to have committed fraud to get her brother a visa and both have called for laws and actions which are not part of the American culture or law.

For liberals that doesn’t carry as much validity (bad as these accusations are) as much as the race card does.

So saying if those two hate America, and love their former countries so much, evidenced by their own words, then suggestion they go back is a legitimate suggestion.

I wholeheartedly and 100% agree.

Kind of sad two bigoted women can spew their hate but the media and left wing try to pin their hate on someone else.

They're not alone in that, their surrogates in the msm are really in actuality responsible for most of this perpetrated and agitated division.

Seems like liberals are trying to justify it by throwing out the race card. Tell you what, if thousands of Russians would come in legally, the outrage would be the same. And if Democrats hate religion so much, vilify it and attack it at every turn, want it eradicated from all vestiges of our lives on every level, but want millions of people from the largest Christian continent in the Western Hemisphere to enter this country illegally?

As for the camps, where else should we put the illegals?

Trump? Amazing how no one ever said he was racist until Hillary lost the 2016 election.

his policies are destructive on many levels.

Need any more evidence that the Republican Party as we knew it is long gone?

While we have Trump supporters here justifying concentration camps and Gestapo tactics, Ronald Reagan said this in 1988 during the ceremony signing the Japanese Internment Appropriations Act;

The Presidential signing ceremony took place in front of many members of Congress of Japanese descent, including Congressman Norman Mineta, who was interned when he was a child.

In his remarks, President Ronald Reagan stated the act attempted to “right a grave wrong” but acknowledged no amount of money could make up for those lost years.

The Republican Party is now the party of the alt-right nuts - the haters, racists, and kooks...

What would Reagan say of a Republican Party that shares so much with Russia...

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Both parties are gone.

While we have Trump supporters here justifying concentration camps and Gestapo tactics,

So we are supposed to justify lawlessness and just allow illegals to come in, just like that, every time, all the time, whenever they want and just screw the law that’s on the books, get rid of the CBP and get rid of ICE, but maybe it has a silver lining, these people are mostly Christians, so that’s a plus.

Ronald Reagan said this in 1988 during the ceremony signing the Japanese Internment Appropriations Act;

It was a tragedy what we did to those Americans, our own citizens and we made amends. This is a different case. These illegals are not Americans.

The Republican Party is now the party of the alt-right nuts - the haters, racists, and kooks...

And the Dems are the open borders, racists, and socialists with zero tolerance for anyone that doesn’t tow the one-sided liberal mantra.

What would Reagan say of a Republican Party that shares so much with Russia...

What would Kennedy say of the Democrat Party that embraces old Russian values.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

according to liberal USA Today newspaper, Pelosi isn’t racist. she just has a “women of color problem”. I see how it’s twisted when Dems do it.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

its a political narrative, not reporting. Who are they to tell me it’s racist? Just report what was said and let the people decide. That’s journalism right?

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

I love the "concentration camp" meme. It is wrong on so many basic levels. The most basic is that, in actual concentration camps, innocent people were rounded up by the government and forced into the camps. They weren't allowed to leave, and were in fact killed if they tried. In the American detention centers along the southern border, people who committed crimes were rounded up by the government and put into camps. They are allowed to leave and go back to their home countries any time. People are actually trying to get INTO the detention centers. Can the same be said for concentration camps? I think not.

As for the whole tweetnado, it will fade from the news cycle within 24 hours. Another faux outrage will happen to distract the media and throw them into a fresh frenzy. The perpetually outraged need constant doses of perceived injustice to maintain their level of vituperation.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Go back to the offending tweet as it appears in the article:

"So interesting to see 'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.”

"Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done."

I don’t see any reference to race in this statement. That all these women are POC does not make his statement even remotely “racist”. The race card has been played by none other than Nancy Pelosi. That’s a fact.

Trump is wrong in his assertion that the representatives were not American natives. (Unless he means the USA is a total catastrophe.) Only one, Ilhan Omar is foreign-born. That’s a fact worthy of attention and correction.

As far as the present condition of the country that Ilhan Omar came from and the place where Rashida Tlaib’s parents came from, Trump is essentially correct. Somalia has been dysfunctional for 30 years if not longer. The administrations of Gaza and the PA are corrupt and support and reward terrorism. These are facts.

”Why don’t they go back...” is not a deportation order. It’s his ridiculous way of challenging them to do something he knows they’ll never do - and certainly DON’T have to do as elected members of Congress.

The usual deflection.

"Not according to Obama’s doctor."

Okay, so, so far a thread about Trump has you screaming about Clinton and Obama instead of addressing the thread. No surprise.

"If he was a warmonger NK and Iran would be wastelands by now."

He's created more tension in the regions (well, Iran... he actually has literally let NK become a nuclear power and in fact is encouraging them to do so, as NK laughs at the man and becomes stronger) than existed before, and proof that he did it just to spite Obama came out just yesterday. But you still support it, because it's not Obama -- and that is the ONLY reason. Same as you called Trump a lunatic before he won the Republican nod, then bowed down to him once he did. You guys have no spines.

But hey, honestly bass... if he is not mentally ill, answer how many airfields did the US have in 1776? Don't deflect, don't ignore, just answer honestly. And where was Trump's father born, since he thinks it was Germany. I bet you won't even touch the issues, because you know full well the man is indeed mentally ill, or just a complete lunatic and moron, as you called him in the past.
